A new wave of prophecies are on the way once more. Also claims of resurrections came in the mail. The Bible makes it very clear that perilous times are prophesied in the last days. Spiritual darkness is gradually coming upon the world during as the unity of all faiths ensues over us. The unity is not biblical. Revivals are not in the Bible before the Tribulation begins. The double outporing of the Holy Spirit will happen to Israel during the Tribulation and we must beware of teachers who teach otherwise. "Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker.. " (2 Tim. 2:14-17.) "Man was raised from Death in Onitsha, Nigeria," was the message on the last advertising for a video about this incident. (Gospel Crusade in Oshogbo, Nigeria.) From Rigor Mortis Corpse to "Resurrection Man"! Pastor Daniel Ekechukwu apparently died in motorvehicle accident. He hit the windscreen and steering wheel in a head-on collision with a stone pillar. He received internal injuries. He eventually was unconscious and died. His wife, being a pastor's wife thought of nothing but "Women received their dead raised to life," in Hebrews 11. She was referring to Old Testament time which tells:
The pastor was taken from the mortuary to Reinhard Boonke's meeting but in another room. Bonnke did not ministry to him personally and found out later what happened. Evangelist Bonnke was leading a "Fire Conference" for three days and some 37,000 pastors, evangelists and church leaders were attending and had an encounter with fire to bring UNITY. It was a remarkable coming together. Pastor Ekechukwu shows a death certificate of Rev. Dan Eke who demised on November 30, 2001. He had not breathed for two days and been injected with a chemical and carted around and pulled about and had a severe brain damage. In in upper room where Reinhard was preaching, the corpse drew a breath and came back to his faculties. He became the famous "resurrection man." "Resurrection" is a large concept and not to be glossed over lightly. Anastasis [386] is the Greek for resurrection comes from anistemi, to rise (450) Anistemi; from ana (303). Anistemi is applied to Christ in Matthew 17:9; 20:19; referring to the fact that He was going to rise in His own strength and will. It also applies to men in general. Yet to show the equality of the Father; He also is presented as raising Jesus from the dead. (Acts 2:24, 32). In this case, however, the verb is used .. meaning to raise, cause to rise from the dead. Jesus is also said to be the One who will raise the dead (John 6:39,40). Thus we have the Lord Jesus raising Himself and being raised by the Father. Anistemi comes from the word ana (303) which implies in composition with other words repitition, increase in intensity, to renew. "..Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth: and he will show him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that beareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." (John 5:.19-29) Does man have resurrection power through the gifts of the Holy Spirit? That would be where the healing would be coming from. A true resurrection means a lot more than just rising from a casket. Jesus called it signs and wonders (John 4:48), healing (John 4:47) and "that I may awake him out of sleep." (John 11:11) Jesus said: "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever livest and believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (John 11:25,26) The Bible speaks of a first resurrection and a second. "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of god and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Rev. 20:6) The second resurrection is at Final Judgment Day when all those who were not resurrected at the first resurrection and those who died during the Millennium will be resurrected, separated and judged. Jesus came back in His resurrected body and the was different. He was recognizable but he could walk through walls (John 20:26) and his body is of flesh and bones. (Eph. 5:30) Jesus told the disciples that they would be "baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence" (Acts 1:5) during the forty days he was back on earth after his resurrection. The disciples received the Holy Ghost from Jesus when Jesus breathed on them and said: "Receive ye the Holy Ghost." (John 20:22) but the power to preach the Gospel came at Pentecost after Jesus went back to His Father's right hand. "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost
is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part
of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
Bonnke's Christ for All Nations (CfAN) ministry has released a 45-minute video of Ekechukwu's testimony, and also reported at its Web site how the Nigerian pastor had been certified dead and injected with embalming fluids before reviving three days later at a Bonnke meeting. McCauley stated: "as Christians, we frequently forget what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and even less do we know what it is like to live every day in the spirit. McCauley's central theme is that the outpouring of God's spirit is not a one-time experience, but a continual walkan achievable lifestyle. Drawing on nearly twenty years of personal ministry, McCauley, who heads the large Rhema Ministries in South Africa and also pastors the Rhema Bible Church near Johannesburg, brings forth a lively revival message within a compact, powerful book. So we are left wondering whether there is a new fashion for ministers to shun the counsel of God's word and "be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger" (Prov. 5:20).South African Ray McCauley is the Pastor of the 20,000-strong Rhema Church (Randburg, South Africa) and president of the International Federation of Christian Churches, which represents 500 churches in Southern Africa and another 100 overseas. He has a prominent ministry in South Africa, a fact demonstrated by his role as spiritual counsellor to disgraced South African cricket captain Hansie Cronjé. For those who don't remember, Cronjé admitted to being a cheat, fixing international cricket matches in deals with gambling syndicates. McCauley's prominence in South Africa has, of course, caused his divorce and subsequent courting of a younger divorcee to make the national papers, bringing yet more disgrace upon the testimony of the Church. The following picture appeared in the South African Sunday Times (8/10/00) with the headline: "Pastor Ray has new love - three months after divorce"! The "new love" in McCauley's life was revealed to be Zelda Ireland, herself recently divorced for the second time. She is a former model, and has three children aged 10, 18 and 22. Ray McCauley's son and Zelda Ireland's daughter attend the same elite St Stithians school in Johannesburg, and Zelda had attended Ray McCauley's church for 19 years. In an interview given to the Sunday Times (20th May, 2001), Zelda admitted that during this time she "had always secretly admired McCauley". With her ex-husband Thomas Zilk, the former head of Austrian Airlines in Africa, now based in Switzerland, and McCauley's ex-wife virtually exiled in Florida, the way was open for them to pair up. This was done with the blessing of other senior church figures including Reinhard Bonke. Zelda Ireland, referring to her imminent third marriage to Ray McCauley, said, "It's almost like I find myself being third time lucky. This time, it is going to be forever". In a previous interview, she stated, "We're having a wonderful time, my children are happy, everyone is just happy, happy, happy!". This happy picture contrasted greatly with that of Ray McCauley's wife of 24 years, Lyndie McCauley. Under the headline Ray McCauley broke my heart (South African Sunday Times, 15/7/01), a tearful Lyndie explained that Ray McCauley rejected her attempts for reconciliation and that she was pressured into the divorce while not being in the proper state of mind to make the decision. The following is an excerpt from the Sunday Times article:"Lyndie McCauley said her marriage had been under pressure and that she and her husband had lost touch because of other commitments. `But we worked together and lived together. The ministry was part of our life. With the politics of South Africa and the demands, and with him being involved in sport ... we lost touch with one another. I was too angry. I felt rejected, I was despondent, all the words that depict a broken life. But I began to heal and recover. I felt the love of the people and of God,' she said. She regretted that her marriage to the head of the Rhema Bible Church had ended in divorce. `It [divorce] is something I wouldn't suggest for anybody.
How do you deal with two such leading people's marriage falling
apart? I know we could have done better,' she said, breaking
down in tears. `I feel in my heart that a woman just needs love.
Love never fails. I do believe love would have wooed me in an
incredible way, because all of us need love. I respond well to
love ... I miss the Rhema church and I love them [the members]
so much. I'm sorry,' she says in the interview, fighting back
tears."
Mal Fletcher, founder and host of the annual summit, says: 'We want the major church and network leaders of Europe to be able to get the big picture on what is happening across Europe. I believe God is raising up a new hunger for strategic alliances among key leaders.' The EYE summit, which runs alongside SLC, will bring together 50 key leaders of the young from more than 16 nations. This network has already helped to raise up a new generation of cutting-edge leaders across Europe and is an inspiration to many of Europe's most successful GenX leaders. Major themes for discussion at the summits include: Church Planting, Evangelism of Major Cities and Missions in Europe. October 25, 1998 As I greet our guests in the line, I must go in at least 15 or 20 minutes before service time or the ushers want to take my seat. This week my son came to get me, for we had to be in our seats just after 9 am, for Brownsville members had been lining up since before 8 I am told. When I came into the sanctuary at 8:15, it was jumping! Seats were very hard to find even then, and I had heard that my seat was nearly gone a bunch of times. The atmosphere was of expectant to a degree I had never remembered, and it reminded me of something I had in my very early days of a Christian. I was saved at a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting in 1971, and the atmosphere in church was similar to the expectancy before one of her miracle services. It was awesome. Worship was sweet, and Pastor gave Mr. Bonnke the pulpit as early as I have seen. His message was simple but powerful, talking about the Lord instructing him to first write a booklet with the gospel, also simple, to the point, able to lead a person to the Lord with a decision card in the back. These have been mailed already to millions around the world, the Lord has had him do a country at a time. Money was raised, for example, in Germany, for they paid the 22 million dollars that it cost to reach their country. So also England, different parts of Europe, Hong Kong, and other countries. The United States will be reached next year, during Easter of 1999. When the money is raised for us to reach our country, and
a booklet is mailed, each household in the entire United States
and Canada will receive this booklet within a guaranteed 7 days!
Think of that! When a decision card is mailed in, the person
will be contacted with a letter telling them several things including
the closest church in their area who previously responded to
his campaign by agreeing to a simple evangelistic statement with
the churches address & phone number. A letter will also be
sent to the pastor informing him of the person soon to be showing
up at his church. No denomination. Just the local church! Wow!
We are honoured to have Reinhard Bonnke with us,' says Mal Fletcher. 'It is very unusual for him to speak to such a small, select group of leaders.' 'He still has an almost unbelievable travel schedule around the globe and is flying in from the U.S.A. just to address the summit leaders, before flying back. He clearly believes in the importance of these high-level meetings.'Please pray that God will give major breakthroughs at the summits this year, for key cities across Europe. http://www.nextwaveinternational.com/newsdetail.asp?lang=en&ID=79 Bookings are coming in for Next Wave's Leadership NOW! Testimony of Healing by Omar Mohammed
We are almost left speechless in our ability to adequately describe what the Lord is doing in our midst. It is difficult to describe a scene of THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION PEOPLE at one time in one location . . .assembling together for the purpose of hearing the Word of God and receiving all that He has for them! What we witnessed last night is more than a sea of people. . .its an OCEAN of souls who were ripe for the miracle move of God. http://www.cfanusa.org/offices/usa/crusades/AFRICA/lagos1100/millennium.htm There are for example especially three major ministries in the church today that recognize the impact and power of intercessory prayer for the Lord's anointed to be able to accomplish God's service in their own lives and ministries. Pastor Cho of Yoido Full Gospel Church in Korea, the largest in the world today, has the Prayer Mountain of intercessors standing behind him. Billy Graham has scores of intercessors that begin praying months in advance and even continue praying during the entire crusades, which to this date have impacted millions of lives with the Gospel of Christ. Reinhard Bonnke, who is also being used by the Lord to reach hundreds of thousands in his missionary evangelistic outreaches, has a strong core of intercessors always praying. His current goal is sending gospel tracks to every household in the major countries around the world including the USA. Paul Cain's Ministry
An Islamic body in northern Nigeria, Council of Ulamas, has warned visiting German preacher Reinhard Bonnke to stay away from the area country or face its wrath. Council chairman Ibrahim Kabo said any attempt by the preacher to visit the predominantly Moslem north would have far-reaching consequences. ''We cannot in a hurry forget the calamities experienced in 1991 in Kano...when he visited Nigeria to preach his doctrine. We are not going to fold our arms and watch this enemy of Sharia directly or indirectly re-enact the 1991 disturbance,'' he told journalists in the northern city of Kano at the weekend. (...) Bonnke's last attempt to hold a crusade in Moslem-dominated Kano triggered a religious riot in which many were killed and several properties destroyed. Aware of the controversy his visit was likely to generate in Nigeria, which is divided almost equally between Christians and Moslems, Bonnke hinted on arrival in Nigeria last weekend that he could no longer go to the north to preach. http://www.gospelcom.net/apologeticsindex/news/an201113.html -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A close look at the massive conference in New Orleans should settle this question, because the conference represented the mainstream of the charismatic movement at this hour. Roughly 150 of the most influential leaders of the charismatic movement participated--John Wimber, Jane Hansen, Vinson Synan, James Robison, Bob Mumford, Kenneth Copeland, Carl Richardson, David Mainse, Michael Harper, Michael Scanlan, Marilyn Hickey, Peter Hocken, Charles and Frances Hunter ("the Happy Hunters"), Anne Gimenez, Oral Roberts' son, Richard, James Brown, Reinhard Bonnke, Demos Shakarian, and at least one hundred more. The books that were sold there are the most popular books of the charismatic movement. The more than 200 organizations which participated in the exhibition area represent some of the most popular and influential within the pentecostalism--Youth with a Mission, Oral Roberts University, Dayspring International, Full Gospel Business Men International, Strang Communications Company (publishers of Charisma magazine), Women's Aglow Fellowship, to name but a few. Most of the "renewal (charismatic) movements" within the various denominations were also there--Baptist, Episcopal, Lutheran, Catholic, Mennonite, Presbyterian & Reformed, Churches of Christ, United Church of Christ, United Methodist, Wesleyan-Holiness. Each of these groups held separate morning sessions during the conference. http://www.wayoflife.org/fbns/newo0002.htm |
