Speaking of 9/11 in a House Science Committee hearing at the White House, Representative Anthony Weiner complained of a non-existent investigation of 9/11 and that the steel had already been sold. FEMA gave no access to American Society. "We learn from all plane crashes. We must get to the truth. The House Science Committee was assigned to the World Trade Center collapse.. Highly efficient search and rescue with limited resources of FEMA wants total control of the investigation. Nobody expected the buildings to fall. Two commercial airliners withstood initial impact. The question is, "why the collapse?" "What was the cause?"

Hearing at the White House on C-Span: Building performance assessments, valuable evidence, was destroyed. The study was hampered. FEMA did not have authority. There was not enough steel available which made a comprehensive investigation impossible. THEY COULD NOT ACCESS THE SITE and were unable to proceed with an analysis. The Recycling plant had to do it. FEMA was aksed, "why no access until October?"

The reason for the investigation was that the buildings were not expected to fall. Why did the building implode? The building was built to redistribute the load and designed for high level of storm. Why did it not topple? Answer was that gravity and fire caused the collapse. Building 2 leaned a little before it came down.

FEMA had the responsibility. FEMA does not have authority to investigate. In April they plan to pass authority to others. They need to know who is in charge? FEMA did not communicate to the city as to the investigation.

The Twin Towers were built on a landfill. There was not much fire due to the sprinkler system. There was an EXACT hit that particular pilots targeted the height. The upper level no tragedy. Lower level was not a tragedy. The columns were very strong.

The American Civil Engineering Society representative stated that Bin Laden was not a degreed engineer but was degreed in business administration and that they were amazed that research was excluded from the 9/11 site. Three and a half months later agreements were made with the Port Authority and access to the drawings of the buildings acquired.

New organizations did not release videos either claiming that some were not used or appropriate. The city was not co-operative. The Port Authority is funded by the taxpayers.
After Bin Ladin's failure to topple in 1993 and we know their target, why no recommendations? Bin Ladin must have gone to work immediately, how to get the job done. Did anyone do it in the academic world? What were the recommendations? None?

The stairways were locked? Why? Lack of communication. January 8, 2002 they got the blueprints. THEMA was not co operating. The usual routine processes that should have been followed were not followed. Why all the secrecy? The Building Performance Assessment Team had to sign an agreement that findings would not be disclosed publically. It was stated that they never had to do that before.
