THE NEW WORLD ORDER IN 2000

ISRAEL'S NEW UN ROLE: June 16, 2000 The decision last week to include Israel in the UN's West European and Other Group (WEOG) is cause for cautious celebration. For while Israel is finally on its way to fully joining the family of nations this is still something of a foster family.

Under UN rules, regional groups decide who fulls the 10 rotating seats on the Security Council and other key UN committee assignments. Israel had been the only one of teh UN's 189 members not to belong to a regional group, because Arab nations blocked its admission to the Asian Group, where it belongs geographically.

Out of sympathy for a Barak administration perceived as pro-peace, and no doubt anticipating the unfairness of a future Palestinian state gaining immediate access to the Asian Group while the Jewish state languishes in exclusion, the WEOG members decided to admit Israel temporarily, for a renewable four-year term.

There are further restrictions: Israel cannot run for the most influential UN seats, including those on the Security Council, for at least three years. And it is excluded from the European caucuses in Geneva, the UN's European headquarters, and the UN centers in Vienna and Nairobi. Geneva is particularly important, as the UN Human Rights Commission (a critic of Israel) and several important UN agencies meet there.

Understandably, Jeruslam took four days before accepting the WEOG deal. Behind the decision was determination of Prime Minister Ehud Barak, UN Secretary-General Kofy Annan, and the US administration to put a higher priority on a full rule for Israel in the UN... Reportedly Israel was told that, if it accepted the offer, the US ambassador to the UN in Geneva would push to have it included there; but if Israel faltered, the offer could be withdrawn due to some unforeseen event in the Middle East or Europe... Annan himself noted last December that, "It sometimes seems that the United Nations served all the world's people but one: the Jews."

Though Israel is not part of Europe proper, its various affinities with the continent are well established. Along with Israel's associate EU status, which took effect last week, these ties provide a foundation for WEOG membership. It is to be hoped that membership in a regional group - even if not the ideal regional group will give Israel access to a fuller role in UN affairs and an opportunity to secure its place in the family of nations. [EDITOR'S NOTE: The Security Council Meeting was aired on C-SPAN during New York's Millennium World Peace Summit at the United Nation's Headquarters. What was surprising was the Council itself. Three of the ten regions represented were 1. President Clinton, 2. the leader of the People's Republic of China and 3. Prime Minister Putin of Russia. (President Clinton offered over a billion dollars in aid to under-privileged countries as usual)

NEW YORK'S WORLD PEACE SUMMIT 'LACKED DETAIL' SAYS ECUMENICAL LEADER: September 1, 2000 - New York (ECUMENICAL NEWS INTERNATIONAL). Dr Konrad Raiser, general secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), has criticised key elements of the Millennium World Peace Summit in New York - a major gathering this week of 1000 religious leaders at the UN headquarters. In an
interview with ENI, Dr Raiser, a German theologian and leading ecumenist, praised the historic gathering as a "rich experience", adding that religious leaders needed to provide "affirmation and backing for the essential mission of the United Nations". But he said that many aspects of a proposal from the gathering to create a religious advisory council for the UN remained unclear.

PEACE SUMMIT LEAVES RELIGIOUS LEADERS CAUTIOUSLY HOPEFUL FOR CHANGE: September 4, 2000 - New York (ENI). Prominent ecumenists have declared that the Millennium World Peace Summit of about 1000 religious leaders, held in New York at the end of August, may well have a good
result. But they also criticised the event as too cumbersome and too vague. Referring to inter-faith dialogue in general, S. Wesley Ariarajah, a Sri Lankan theologian, said of the New York meeting: "The inter-religious programme is a 100-year process - we are sowing seeds." Dr Ariarajah is professor of Ecumenical Theology at Drew University in the US state of New Jersey and a former deputy general secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC).

THE UNITED NATIONS RECEIVED PERMISSION TO BEAR ARMS.

US, 7 OTHERS WRAP UP SOUTH AMERICA TRAINING, September 24, 2000 - The Tampe Tribune - The U.S. Special Operations Comman just wrapped Cabanas 2000 -a joint training exercise with troops from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Oeru and Uruguay - in Cordoba, Argentina.

The exercise simulates a United Nations peace-keeping mission to restore order in a town where a civil war is excalating. About 300 U.S. troops participated along with 1,000 civilian and military personnel from other countries, according to SOCOM's Lt. Edie Rosenthal.

Sponsored by Miami's U.S. Southern Command, the exercise allows troops from different countries to work together. Army General Frank Toney Jr., a Tampa native and commander of the U.S. Special Forces Command at Fort Bragg, N.C., watched troops from the 7th Special Forces Group participate in the ecercise. "They have language capability, maturity level and cross-cultural skills that enable them to bring a multinational force together," Toney said. According to Rosenthal, some of the scenarios included U.N. soldiers quelling a riot orver food distribution in a village, medical response to a land-mine injury and prisoner exchange.

IMF, WORLD BANK EFFORTS LOST ON PROTESTERS: Prague, September 27, 2000 (The Tampa Tribune) The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank tried their best Tuesday to proceed with retooled annual meetings they hoped would highlight efforts at poverty reduction, even as protesters stormed polices lilnes outside. The agencies' top officials insisted the demonstrator's have it all wrong - that the IMF and World Bank are not the enemies of the world's 2.8 billion poor but the single biggest providers of government loans aiding countries in economic crisis and development loans to Third World nations.

The annual meetings of the 182 nations that belong to the two agencies began after many delegates, heeding advice, got up early to catch shuttle buses that began running at 5 a.m. ahead of the demonstrators... World Bank President James Wolfensohn and IMF Managing Director Horst Koehler insisted Tuesday that their institutions have heeded the calls of responsible critics for reform.. U.S. Treasury Secretary said those trying to turn back globalization were making a huge mistake.

PLAN PROPOSED TO SET ASIDE 58.5 MILLION ACRES OF ROADLESS NATIONAL FORESTS: The Tampa Tribune, November 14, 2000 - In one of the most sweeping widerness protection measures of the past century, the Clinton administration on Monday proposed setting aside 58.5 million acres.. the proposal includes wilderness areas in Alaska 14.7 million acres, California 4.4 million acres, Idaho 9.3 million acres, and Montana 6.4 million acres.. Commercial logging would be cut by nearly 85%. The areas would fall victim to unchecked wild fires and insect infestations without access. It will also mean reliance on foreign nations for wood. Reliance on foreign markets is up already from 20 to 40% and will grow much worse.

RELIGIOUS GROUP BLASTS CHRISTIAN COALITION VOTER GUIDES: The Tampa Tribune (AP), October 14, 2000 Miami: Religious leaders are calling on 3,200 Florida churches to refuse to distribute the Christian Coalition voter guides, calling them blatantly partisan indoctrination tools and a deceitful abuse of Christian communities.

In a presidential swing state picking a new U.S. senator, the nonpartisan Interfaith Alliance and the head of the Florida Council of Churches are sending a letter warning churches that they are a "tempting target" for the coalition and candidate leaflets on the Sunday before election day.

"As a conservative Christian, I am strongly opposed to the practice of using churches to distribute blatantly partisan literature under the gise of religious education," the Rev. Dale Stewart, a North Florida alliance leader, said Thursday. "It is deceitful and a blatant violation of the trust that religious leaders often place in those who claim relgious ties... "There are any number of liberal organizations that would like to see our voice muzzled," said Terry Kemple, executive director of the Christian Coalition in Florida. The coalition plans to publish 70 million voter guides nationally this year, including 3 million in Florida. Churches have been a favorite distribution point in the past.

The Internal Revenue Service concluded last year that distribution of the guides at churches.. were too partisan for tax exempt status, but a federal judge in Virginia rules later that the organization was not required to pay taxes.

CULT LEADER TAKEN OFF DEATH ROW: The Tampa Tribune, (AP), November 10, 2000: Tallahassee - The death sentence of a cult leader condemned for fatally beating a Eustis couple in 1996 was reduced to life in prison Thursday by the state Supreme Court...due to his age. That July 1999 decision said allwoing such a rare punishment would be cruel and unusual and therefore unconstitutional. The 4-3 opinion came in the case of a killer who murdered just eight days before his 17th birthday.. Now 20, he killed a couple by beating them to death with crowbars in their home. Ferrell was a leader of a vampire cult from Murray, Ky.

CHINA ARRESTS CHRISTIANS AT REVIVAL: Tampa Tribune, Agust 25, 2000, BEJING - One-hundred and thirty evangelical Christians, including three visiting Christians on a religious mission, were arrested in central China on Thursday as they attended a revival, according to a human rights monitor and the American's Pastor in California. The raid was part of a continuing pattern of arrests, fines and other harrassment of so-called house churches, mainly evangelical Protestant groups that have quietly spread their faith to [many] Chinese while refusing to accept the authority of official religious bodies.

TBN EXPOSES IT'S AFFILIATION WITH THE UNITED NATIONS. TBN FLYER The religious leaders of China met the press in Washington D.C. last August [unrevealed: the WORLD PEACE SUMMIT]. Catholic, Protestant, Buddhist, Moslems and Taoist religions were represented. Paul Crouch and other religious leaders of the USA met with them privately [unrevealed: the WORLD PEACE SUMMIT] and he learned much about the state of religious freedom in China. "What do you say to the national leaders of the five major religions in China? That question faced me last August when I was invited again by the Chinese ambassador to an historic meeting [unrevealed: THE WORLD PEACE SUMMIT] in Washington D.C.. Our diplomatic host, Mr. Hu Yongstao, first secretary of the embassy, introduced a group of American religious leaders to the Buddhist, Moslem, Taoist, Catholic and Protestant leaders of the People's Republic of China. For two days we held fascinating discussions led by an American Jewish rabbi, Arthur Schneier, of New York. We learned of exciting changes by the Chinese government opening the door to the unprescedented new freedoms of religious belief and practice in China!

The leaders spoke of the need for mutual respect and cooperation of different religious faiths of China and the United States. [Editor's Note: In other words: "don't ask us to give up Communism] Paul continued: "We learned much about distinctive differences, and yes, similarities of each faith. All in all, I sensed a sincere desire in each leader to see mankind elevated from misery, poverty and pain to a higher level, and the world lifted to a true lasting peace.

Here is how Jesus addressed poverty: "Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her." (Matthew 26:10-13) ]

Paul goes on to describe how frustrated he was about wanting to open the Bible. "In the midst of my frustration, the precious Holy Spirit whispered a truth that much of the Church has forgotten - and that is:

WE HAVE NOT BEEN COMMISSIONED BY GOD TO CONVERT EVERYONE TO OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH! [EDITOR'S NOTE: THEN WHY DO YOU WANT TO GO TO CHINA?]

Next Paul Crouch goes on to try to convince us that interfaith is acceptable with Acts 17:22-23 TLB [a new Bible?] and stated that Paul did not recriminate people who worshipped other gods nor their faith in them! "Too often, well-meaning, but unwise, Christians speak harshly against other religious faiths."

[What Paul is leaving out of this conversation is that every religion that is not Christ is anti-Christ, which means they want to do away with Christ Jesus. We are not their enemy but they are our enemy. The Bible states:

"For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this (the Bible) doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed. For he that biddeth him Godspeed is partaker of his evil deeds." (2 John 2:7-10) "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." (1 Peter 5:8,9)

THE LION IN THE TBN CREST IS NOT NECCESSARILY THE LION OF JUDAH. THE WHITE HORSE LOOKS MORE LIKE A UNICORN WITH AN UNDISCLOSED HORN.

Lawsuit Claims TBN Stole Ideas for Omega Code: Sylvia Fleener wants the $40 million the Omega Code has made thus far since last October according to a suit filed in Los Angeles last week. Fleener charges trademark and copyright infringement, reported Broad & Cable magazine.. Fleener says she created the characters in the Omega Code, which surprised the mainstream movie world.. The PG-13 apocalyptic drama that mixed last-days prophecy with a secret Bible code earning a Top 10 placing in its opening weekend. The suit, filed by attorneys Kirtland and Packard in Los Angeles, claims that Fleener's work was "misappropriated" by TBN in an "infringement" that was "willful and deliberate," according to Broadcast & Cable. TBN legal counsel Colby May told Charisma that the suit would be contested. (Charisma Magazine p.23, September 2000)

Court Sides With TBN in Lengthy Licensing Battle: Charima Magazine - November 2000 "..The ruling came after eight years of litigation that cost TBN $40 million and threatened its future, says founder Paul Crouch. .. Most of the money raised in special appeals, went to buy out competitors who lodged competing applications when licenses at five TBN stations came up for renewal. Crouch called the practice a form of "legalized extortion" that he feared could have followed at other stations because of a dispute with the FCC, the government's broadcast licensing body. The competing applications were filed after TBN ran into trouble with the FCC over its Miami license in the early 1990s. The FCC took the license away because it said that TBN had used a minority-controlled company to circumvent regulations limiting national ownership of stations... TBN took its case to the U.S. Court of Appeals, appearing in Washington D.C., in February. In May, a three judge panel ruled that the FCC's denial of TBN license renewal in Miami is vacated, meaning the case is struck from the records. Crouch said that the verdict was a complete exoneration of TBN. "If we had lost Miami it would only have been a matter of time before others would have filed against us any time a license came up for renewal."

Crouch said he met with a Chinese ambassador earlier this year [unrevealed: the WORLD PEACE SUMMIT] who wanted to know more about Christianity [unrevealed: who wanted to tell us what to do] . Paul states the following: "I said: 'If you will look just at the pure teachings of Christ and not what some religion teaches about Him, in some ways Jesus was a COMMUNIST. [Editor's Note: Why teach Communists about Jesus if He was a Communist? Or are you even planning to teach the Gospel?] He said, "Feed the hungry, clothe the naked."' That really got his attention." [Editor's Note: I bet it did! It is all about money after all isn't it?]

Surprisingly enough, the word "hungry" only came up five times in the new Testament which applies to today. Mark 11:12,13: Speaking of Jesus: "And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree (TBN) afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet."

Luke 1:46-54: "And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my savior. For He hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His name. And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation. He hath showed strength with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in imagination of their hearts. He has put down the might from their seat, and exalted them of low degree. He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away."

Acts 10:9-11: "On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: And he became hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, and saw heaven opened.. "

1 Corinthians 11:17-22: "Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse. For first of all, when ye come together in church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. What? have ye not houses to eat and drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not."

Philippians 4:12 "In know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Paul and Jan were invited by Dr. Billy Graham in Nashville to the Amsterdam 2000 Crusade. Dr. Graham preached that night to 70,000 in the Nashville, Tennessee area at the stadium. He [Graham] confessed to us [Paul and Jan] that he is a regular viewer of TBN at his home in North Carolina. 10,000 evangelists attended in Amsterdam. Dr. Graham challenged them to Go, Go, Go!

See "Elijah said.. the god who answers.. is God. What was Paul Crouch referring to? "And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him... Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: And call ye on the name your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many, but put no fire under. And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made... And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the Lord came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God. And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there." (1 Kings 18:21-26,31, 38, 39,40 )
