like to introduce ourselves. George and Rita Williams founded
this ministry. We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years.
We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:
out of the cult of Mormonism. We did not know at the time we
were in a cult. No-one had witnessed to us in 20 years.
- The Holy Spirit brought us to information about all the cults
and the present development of the New World Order. We began
bringing our research to you. Because all the research was already
done, we decided to build a library within Cephas Ministry. Our
newsletters are not designed to provoke
anger which is strictly prohibited in Scripture. It is to shed
light on activities by those who would deceive those who are
recorded in the Book of Life by devious methods and systematic

The news about churches is unedited unless indicated by Ednotes.
The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
which doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word of God has
undergone many changes to fit the present mode. The Bible calls
for a falling away from the truth before Jesus
comes back for His Bride, the true believers are called 'Ekklesia.'
Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the Bible is true
from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, so called democratizing what is left. One third of the
world still remains to be taken over. It again proves that we
are moving to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied
in the Bible. The end result will not be Democracy but a form
of Fascist Communism.
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings with what is happening in Israel. We describe and watch
for signs of the coming Tribulation to confirm that we are moving
into that space of time.

TO SETTLE SUITS FOR $600 MILLION
Settlement represents Church’s largest payout in sexual
abuse scandal - MSNBC - LOS ANGELES - AP - July 14, 2007 - The
nation’s largest Catholic archdiocese will settle its clergy
sex abuse cases for at least $600 million, by far the largest
payout in the church’s sexual abuse scandal, The Associated
Press learned Saturday. Attorneys for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese
of Los Angeles and the plaintiffs will release a statement Sunday
morning and hold a news conference Monday, said Ray Boucher,
the lead plaintiff’s attorney. An anonymous source with
knowledge of the deal placed its value at $660 million, by far
the largest payout in the church’s sexual abuse scandal.
The amount exceeded earlier reports from sources that the settlement
would be between $600 million and $650 million — $1.2 million

- VATICAN STAYS IN THE BLACK WITH HELP FROM THE USA
VATICAN CITY (AP) — The Vatican released details of its
financial report Friday, saying increased contributions from
dioceses and individuals — primarily from the United States
— helped keep it in the black despite rising labor costs
and a falling dollar. "The trend is positive and encouraging,"
said Cardinal Sergio Sebastiani, who heads the Vatican's office
of economic affairs. He said the United States has steadily remained
the largest source of contributions — even at the height
of the clergy sex-abuse scandal a few years ago. Germany and
Italy were next in line. Earlier in the week, the Vatican reported
a narrow budget surplus of $3.2 million in 2006, down more than
$9.5 million from its strong financial showing the previous year.

asserting that Jesus established ‘only one church’

Italy - Pope Benedict XVI reasserted the primacy of the Roman
Catholic Church, approving a document released Tuesday that says
other Christian communities are either defective or not true
churches and Catholicism provides the only true path to salvation.
The statement brought swift criticism from Protestant leaders.
"It makes us question whether we are indeed praying together
for Christian unity," said the World Alliance of Reformed
Churches, a fellowship of 75 million Protestants in more than
100 countries. "It makes us question the seriousness with
which the Roman Catholic Church takes its dialogues with the
reformed family and other families of the church," the group
said in a letter charging that the document took ecumenical dialogue
back to the era before the Second Vatican Council.
It was the second time in a week that Benedict has corrected
what he says are erroneous interpretations of the Second Vatican
Council, the 1962-1965 meetings that modernized the church. On
Saturday, Benedict revived the old Latin Mass - a move cheered
by Catholic traditionalists but criticized by more liberal ones
as a step backward from Vatican II. Among the council's key developments
were its ecumenical outreach and the development of the New Mass
in the vernacular, which essentially replaced the old Latin Mass.
- Benedict, who attended Vatican II as a young theologian,
has long complained about what he considers its erroneous interpretation
by liberals, saying it was not a break from the past but rather
a renewal of church tradition.
- The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which Benedict
headed before becoming pope, said it was issuing the new document
Tuesday because some contemporary theological interpretations
of Vatican II's ecumenical intent had been "erroneous or
ambiguous" and had prompted confusion and doubt. The new
document - formulated as five questions and answers - restates
key sections of a 2000 text the pope wrote when he was prefect
of the congregation, "Dominus Iesus," which riled Protestant
and other Christian denominations because it said they were not
true churches but merely ecclesial communities and therefore
did not have the "means of salvation."
- The commentary repeated church teaching that says the Catholic
Church "has the fullness of the means of salvation."
- "Christ 'established here on earth' only one church,"
said the document released as the pope vacations at a villa in
Lorenzago di Cadore, in Italy's Dolomite mountains.
- The other communities "cannot be called 'churches' in
the proper sense" because they do not have apostolic succession
- the ability to trace their bishops back to Christ's original
apostles - and therefore their priestly ordinations are not valid,
it said. The Rev. Sara MacVane, of the Anglican Centre in Rome,
said that although the document contains nothing new, "I
don't know what motivated it at this time." "But it's
important always to point out that there's the official position
and there's the huge amount of friendship and fellowship and
worshipping together that goes on at all levels, certainly between
Anglicans and Catholics and all the other groups and Catholics,"
she said.
- The document said that Orthodox churches were indeed "churches"
because they have apostolic succession and enjoyed "many
elements of sanctification and of truth." But it said they
do not recognize the primacy of the pope - a defect, or a "wound"
that harmed them, it said. "This is obviously not compatible
with the doctrine of primacy which, according to the Catholic
faith, is an 'internal constitutive principle' of the very existence
of a particular church," said a commentary from the congregation
that accompanied the text. Despite the harsh tone, the document
stressed that Benedict remains committed to ecumenical dialogue.
- "However, if such dialogue is to be truly constructive
it must involve not just the mutual openness of the participants,
but also fidelity to the identity of the Catholic faith,"
the commentary said. The top Protestant cleric in Benedict's
homeland, Germany, complained the Vatican apparently did not
consider that "mutual respect for the church status"
was required for any ecumenical progress. In a statement titled
"Lost Chance," Lutheran Bishop Wolfgang Huber argued
that "it would also be completely sufficient if it were
to be said that the reforming churches are 'not churches in the
sense required here' or that they are 'churches of another type'
- but none of these bridges is used" in the Vatican document.
The Vatican statement, signed by the congregation prefect, American
Cardinal William Levada, was approved by Benedict on June 29,
the feast of Saints Peter and Paul - a major ecumenical feast
day.
- There was no indication why the pope felt it necessary to
release it now, particularly since his 2000 document summed up
the same principles. Some analysts suggested it could be a question
of internal church politics or that the congregation was sending
a message to certain theologians it did not want to single out.
Or, it could be an indication of Benedict using his office as
pope to again stress key doctrinal issues from his time at the
congregation.
- In fact, the only theologian cited by name in the document
for having spawned erroneous interpretations of ecumenism was
Leonardo Boff, a Brazilian clergyman who left the priesthood
and was a target of then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger's crackdown

- YOU ARE NOT REAL CHURCHES, POPE TELLS PROTESTANTS

have reacted with dismay to a new declaration approved by the
Pope insisting they were mere "ecclesial communities"
and their ministers in effect phonies with no right to give communion.
Coming just days after the reinstatement of the Latin Mass, Tuesday's
document left no doubt about the Pope's eagerness to back traditional
Catholic practices and attitudes, even at the expense of causing
offence.
- The view that Protestants cannot have churches was first
set out by Pope Benedict seven years ago when, as Cardinal Joseph
Ratzinger, he headed the Vatican ministry for doctrine. A commentary
attached to the latest text acknowledged that his 2000 document,
Dominus Iesus, had caused "no little distress".
- But it added: "It is nevertheless difficult to see how
the title of 'Church' could possibly be attributed to [Protestant
communities], given that they do not accept the theological notion
of the Church in the Catholic sense and that they lack elements
considered essential to the Catholic Church." The Pope's
old department, which issued the document, said its aim was to
correct "erroneous or ambiguous" interpretations of
the Second Vatican Council, which ended in 1965. Quoting a text
approved by the council, it said Protestant churches, "because
of the absence of the sacramental priesthood", had not "preserved
the genuine and integral substance of the Eucharistic Mystery".
- However, other Christians saw the latest document as another
retreat from the spirit of openness generated by the council,
which laid the basis for talks on Christian unity. Bishop Wolfgang
Huber, head of the Protestant umbrella group Evangelical Church
in Germany, said: "The hope for a change in the ecumenical
situation has been pushed further away by the document published
today." He said the new pronouncement repeated "offensive
statements" in the 2000 document and was a "missed
opportunity" to improve relations with Protestants. The
president of the Federation of Evangelical Churches in Italy,
Pastor Domenico Maselli, called it a "huge step backwards
in relations between the Roman Catholic church and other Christian
communities". The Church of England reacted cautiously.
A spokesman for the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams,
said: "This is a serious document, teaching on important
ecclesiological matters and of significance to the churches'
commitment to the full, visible unity to the one church of Jesus
Christ."
- The Vatican's statement had fewer misgivings about the Orthodox
Church, which had "true sacraments" and a genuine priesthood.
But its failure to acknowledge the Pope's authority meant it
suffered from a "defectus", politely translated from
Latin as "a wound". Last Saturday the Pope freed Catholics
to ask for Masses to be celebrated according to the Latin rite
abolished by the Second Vatican Council. This meant the reinstatement
of a Good Friday prayer describing Jews as blind to the Christian

- CHURCHES BACK PLAN TO UNITE UNDER POPE
THE TIMES - Ruth Gledhill, Religion Correspondent - Radical proposals
to reunite Anglicans with the Roman Catholic Church under the
leadership of the Pope are to be published this year, The Times
has learnt. The proposals have been agreed by senior bishops
of both churches. In a 42-page statement prepared by an international
commission of both churches, Anglicans and Roman Catholics are
urged to explore how they might reunite under the Pope. The statement,
leaked to The Times, is being considered by the Vatican, where
Catholic bishops are preparing a formal response.

- PAISLEY LAMBASTS POPE IN ADDRESS
 Northern Ireland`s First Minister
criticised Pope Benedict for endorsing a Vatican document re-asserting
that Catholicism was the one true faith.
Democratic Unionist leader Mr Paisley is famous for his opposition
to Catholic doctrine- at one stage dubbing the Pope the anti-Christ-
and said this week`s papal intervention was startling.

spells out the strongest possible message that the Pope of Rome
has not changed," he said.

- Sunday, July 08, 2007 10:22 PM - As I speak, Brethren, looking
at the mountains straight ahead, as the sun sets, there is a
HUGE fire climbing towards Kitt Peak. What is the significance
of this? Well, Kitt Peak happens to be the site of our U.S. Observatory.
This is an AMERICAN GOVERNMENT observatory! A two hours drive
away is the VATICAN's Observatory of which we all know has a
FUTURE ROLE to play in the coming of the GREAT DECEPTION! My
Channel 13 nightly news just announced, "The fire, under
control yesterday, for some reason BALLOONED over night. It is
now less than a mile away from the observatory with little hope
in sight. We are now evacuating individuals from the site."
I am getting in my van for a closer look. The clouds of black
smoke are encompassing the entire mountain range. This will pave
the way for VATICANUS to control all of the astronomical research
and fraudulent agendas. Please pray for intervention, but prophecy

- TIM LAHAYE TO SPEAK AT PRO-CONTEMPLATIVE CONFERENCE
- The 2007 World Conference, presented by the American Association
of Christian Counselors (AACC), will take place September 12th
- 15th this year 2007. Because of the pro-contemplative persuasions
of the AACC, it is not surprising that contemplatives such as
Dallas Willard, John Ortberg, and Larry Crabb will be part of
the speaking platform. Larry Crabb, the spiritual director for
the AACC, has shown his spiritual persuasions in his books, such
as The Papa Prayer, where he states: I've practiced centering
prayer. I've contemplatively prayed. I've prayed liturgically....I've
benefited from each, and I still do. In ways you'll see, elements
of each style are still with me (The Papa Prayer, p.9).
The AACC is supportive of contemplative spirituality (mysticism),
as can be seen in their Code of Ethics where they admit they
are "influenced" by the "paradigm offered by Richard
Foster" (p. 3). With this in mind, it is surprising and
disturbing to see a name on the World Conference plenary speakers
list (scroll down page) that has not in the past been associated
with contemplative or mystical prayer. That name is Tim LaHaye.
LaHaye is known mostly for his Left Behind series, which fictionalizes
a possible end-time scenario on the earth. What is surprising
is that the Left Behind books have consistently shown, through
the story lines, the negative effects of the New Age movement
and the role mystical spirituality plays in end time deception.
- Some may ask, "What's the big deal? So what if LaHaye
shares a platform with contemplative leaders? That doesn't make
him one." That's true. But what it does do is two things:
First, it makes one ask if LaHaye's vision has become blurry
as has happened to so many other Christian leaders (e.g., David
Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll, etc.) who have been influenced by contemplative
spirituality; and secondly, his participating in this event will
give credence to the entire contemplative movement and has the
potential to confuse countless Left Behind readers (remember,
over 60 million copies of his books have sold).
- Perhaps LaHaye will say (as did Kay Arthur when she spoke
with Tony Campolo recently)1 that he will speak anywhere, on
any platform as long as he can get his message out. In certain
carefully selected situations, this reasoning could be valid,
but unless LaHaye is prepared to stand on the World Conference
platform and denounce what the AACC and many of the speakers
stand for, unless he is going to rebuke and expose what is really
being promoted at the World Conference, then for him to share
the platform is misleading and is like a slap in the face to
faithful believers who have defended the faith and stood against
apostasy in these days in which we live. And based on many, many
other similar situations, it is highly unlikely Tim LaHaye will
stand at that conference and denounce contemplative spirituality
(i.e., spiritual formation). There is also something else to
consider. Bringing LaHaye into the contemplative fold as the
AACC is doing could help further the convergence that is taking
place between contemplative/emerging participants and mainstream
Christians. In essence, LaHaye's appearance at the conference
could potentially have far reaching effects. We hope and pray
that LaHaye will turn down his invitation to speak at the AACC,
and in so doing make a bold statement in defense of the Christian
faith. Other contemplative promoters who will be speaking at
the World Conference include Dan Allender (Mars Hill Graduate
School), H.B. London, Jr. (Focus on the Family) and Max Lucado.

World Conference: One workshop is called "Using a Curriculum
of Christlikeness in Spiritual Formation." According to
its description 2, the presentation is inspired by Richard Foster
and Dallas Willard. Gary Moon, the presenter, is a contemplative

- Rick Warren of Purpose Driven Life fame has railed against
fundamentalist Christians yet again. At a three-day summit on
adoption in Colorado Springs Warren said: "We've got some
people who only focus on moral purity and couldn't care less
about the poor, the sick, the uneducated. And they haven't done
zip for those people." He said that too often Christians
these days are defined by a "big mouth" ("Christian
Groups Launch Massive Adoption Campaign, Los Angeles Times, May
13, 2007). Warren mentioned James 1:27, which says pure religion
is to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction. What
he failed to acknowledge is that pure religion, according to
the same verse, is also to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
That describes a very strict type of separation from the world,
and the Bible just as plainly teaches that we are to separate
from and renounce doctrinal error (Rom. 16:17; 2 Tim. 3:5; 4:1-4,
etc.); yet Warren viciously denounces those who are attempting
to obey these biblical injunctions, calling them big mouths.
Biblical Christianity involves showing compassion to the needy
as well as strict standards of holiness and truth, not to mention
evangelism and the Great Commission, and that is what Biblicists
are have been doing since the first century. I have written more
than 30 articles warning about Rick Warren's error and compromise,
so I obviously have a "big mouth" by his definition,
but my wife and I adopted a special-needs child when she was
three years old and have dedicated almost two decades of our
lives to one of the world's poorest mission fields and have given
away thousands of dollars to the poor. In his interview on Larry
King Live on December 2, 2006, Warren slanderously likened biblical
fundamentalists to Muslim extremists and atheistic secularists.
He has also said that Christian fundamentalism will be "one
of the big enemies of the 21st century" ("The Purpose-Driven
Pastor," The Philadelphia Inquirer, Jan. 8, 2006). The book
"Transitioning: Leading Your Church through Change"
by Dan Southerland, which Warren recommends and which is sold
on Warren's web site, calls the pastor who resists the Purpose
Driven movement "Sanballat" (from the book of Nehemiah)
and a "leader from hell" (pp. 115, 116). Beware of
Rick Warren. He is the blind leading the blind.

"Star Wars" and "Star Trek," it is the story
of how a work of popular art becomes a world of its own - imitated,
merchandised and analyzed, immortalized not by the marketers,
but by the fans. "Every phenomenon is a kind of myth unto

story of how the public embraced Potter only gives more momentum
to Potter in our culture," says Neal Gabler, an author and

- THE BOOK OF MORMON A SECOND WITNESS?

not given full context. Sure he claimed the church false, but
he never refuted his testimony of the Book of Mormon. This is
something important. Joseph Smith was not supposed to start a
new church like he did. Oliver Cowdery was fulfilling a role,
which was to unify the existing denominations. The Book of Mormon
is protestant in nature. Emphatically yes! That is why I am a
non-denominational believer in it. It is the "second witness"
to christ and his ministry and doctrines. It is a unifier, because
it teaches just how to perform communion and the qualifications

being baptized in the mormon church are not following the Book

and precious". I already know a southern baptist minister
in Missouri who preaches out of the Book from time to time. That
is the thing. That is what it was for. You see the community
of christ admitting to be wrong on so levels in the past, but
the book of mormon is being taught in the light it was meant
to. I see people uplifting all denominations through it and it
is very amazing. Once protestants accept it, Jews will follow
suit and be converted to Jesus Christ. This is a promise in the

to be caught up in foolish geneologies. Polygamy is even refuted
by the Book of Mormon. The fact is that this book was made for
protestants. It is obvious. The ancienct propets were not exactly
sure why they were writting what they were. God commanded them
to write what they were writing. It talks of the choice seer
in the book. Not the choice prophet to lead a new church. It
also says that ANYONE who repents and is baptized in the name
of chirst are the church of Christ. Meaning, denominations are

- A "CEPHAS" RESPONSE TO MICHAEL
- One of the main reasons the Book of Mormon seems to be another
Christian witness is that it contains 27000 words taken from
the KJV Bible 1611. Isaiah chapter 2 - 14 was copied verbatim.
The KJV was not public until 1611. How could the exact same words
have been placed into the Golden Plates written upon with Egyptian
hieroglyphics in 600 B.C.? The Egyptian Rosetta Stone was discovered
after Joseph Smith was murdered and Joseph's translation did
not match the Rosetta Stone's interpretation of the Egyptian
hieroglyphics. Mormons have made 4000 changes to the original
book and most of them were grammatical errors. God doesn't make
grammatical errors. The Book of Mormon does teach the trinity
in Alma 11:44 which contradicts the Mormon belief that
God has a body as well as Jesus Christ and Jesus is a spirit
brother of Satan as well as our spirit brother. The Trinity cannot
be one with Satan. According to Mormonism we were all in the
spirit before we arrived on earth in a physical body which
is a lie from occultism. According to 1 Cor. 15:45 - 50 flesh
is first and spirit 2nd. God created flesh first in the Garden
of Eden and blew breath into Adam to make him live.
- The Book of Mormon has been proven to be plagiarized from
various sources. Many Mormons and non-Mormons have researched
the history written in the Book of Mormon and have found no archaeological
evidence of cities mentioned although the cities in the Bible
are still in existence. Joseph in fact brought into his rhetoric
present day elements that did not exist 600 B.C. when the book
was supposedly have been written. Claims that the Egyptian murals
on temples in Mexico have to do with the Book of Mormon are not
provable. Anthropologists have found that American Indians are
not Israelites as the Book of Mormon claims. Indians have a Mongoloid
spot, Israelites do not.
- In a brief explanation about the Book of Mormon in their
'standard works': "In about A.D. 421, Moroni, the last of
the Nephite prophet-historians, sealed the sacred record and
hid it up unto the Lord, to be brought forth in the latter days,
as predicted by the voice of God through his ancient prophets.
In A.D. 1823, this same Moroni, then a resurrected personage,
visited the Prophet Joseph Smith and subsequently delivered
the engraved plates to him."
- When duplicating this event by researchers they found that
the plates would have weighed approximately 200 pounds. Can you
envision an angel giving 200 pounds of metal to a physical young
man like Joseph? In fact there are supposedly at least six "first
visions" that Joseph had and the most appropriate depicting
their god (father god) with a physical body was chosen. Galatians
1:6-8 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called
you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which
is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would
pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an
angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you
than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

a high-profile trial are exposing the dark side of his religion.

rotation of the earth, in accordance with the teachings of the

vacationing pilgrims from the East Coast, turned out in large
numbers in the town’s traditional green square to hear the
Illinois senator deliver his stump speech on the night of July
3 - more people, Fairfield’s sheriff said, than had come
out to greet a sitting president.
- “I saw him and I thought, ‘Oh my god, this is somebody
who could lead us into a new era,’” said Nancy Watkins,
an international student adviser at the Maharishi University
of Management. The meditators cheered Obama heartily — not
at his occasional gestures toward political red meat, but at
the lines that sometimes leave other audiences in silence. They
were responding to the senator’s call for national renewal
that, though perhaps more Christian than New Age in concept,
fit comfortably into a town square hemmed by shops with names
like “Revelations” and the “Healthy Inspiration.”

- EMERGING CHURCH - A MOVE OF GOD OR A WELL-FUNDED ENTERPRISE?
The name keeps popping up - Lilly
Endowment . Huge amounts of money being given in the form
of grants to proponents of the emerging church. As Roger Oakland
documents in his book, Faith Undone, Lilly
gave $691,000 to the Youth Ministry & Spirituality Project
(Mark Yaconelli) in 2001. Lilly had funded the beginning of that
project in 1997 as well. Lilly also funded Project on Congregations
of Intentional Practice, another emerging-type project with Diane
Butler Bass . 1 New Age sympathizer Parker Palmer (friend
and inspiration to emerging leader, Len Sweet) also enjoyed the
benefits of Lilly Endowment grants.2 In an article titled "Social
Change and Communitarian Systems," it explains: The Lilly
Endowment "a private foundation...that supports community
development, education and religion," has also helped fund
the [Peter] Drucker Foundation. But more recently, it has shown
its support for Baptist leadership and pastoral training. Strangely
enough, the two -- Drucker's communitarian vision for the "social
sector" and seminary training in community-building -- fit
together....
This grant [$300,000] makes all the more sense in light of a
new partnership between Golden Gate Seminary and Saddleback Church.
The Baptist seminary will build a new branch on the Saddleback
campus to train church leaders to use the digital data tracking
technology needed to meet and monitor community needs around
the world.3
In 1999, the now emerging/contemplative-promoting Bethel Seminary
received $1.5 million from Lilly Endowment in a project created
to identify "the next generation of Christian leaders."4
Now, according to an article by emergent Tony Jones, in a more
recent grant called Faithful
Practices, Jones reaped benefits from Lilly.5
- And the money just keeps coming in. While many think that
the emerging church must be a move of God because of its success
and popularity, big funding could have a lot to do with it.
- Some of the participants of the Faithful Practices project
include Brian McLaren, Tony Jones, Doug Pagitt, and Karen Ward.
All four are part of the emergent church and the shift toward
the new spirituality that rejects biblical Christianity. Pagitt
and Jones are the editors of the new release, An Emergent Manifesto
of Hope; McLaren and Ward are contributing writers for the book.
That book is reviewed in "Emergent Manifesto: Emerging Church
Coming Out of the Closet" and also in Faith Undone. The
Manifesto clearly shows the pantheistic/universalist/New Age
element of the emerging church. But while the message of the
emerging church is anything but biblical, with a little financial
help from its friends, it doesn't look like the emerging church

- Excerpt: "... I was invited to give a lecture sponsored
by Professor David Patterson of the Judaic Studies Program. When
news about my appearance spread, the Muslim community both on
and off campus launched a full-scale campaign to stop my lecture.
They demanded that Dr. Patterson cancel my speech. E-mails flooded
the University of Memphis administration and Dr. Patterson from
Muslim students on campus and Muslims in the community and mosques.
Here are some of their comments: "People like Brigitte are
plenty in the world, they are the true enemies of Islam. And
despite their rubbish talks, the truth about Islam is spreading
like a wildfire across Americas and across the globe (All Praise
to Allah)." "Dr. Patterson, hosting of this lady is
orders of magnitude worse than hosting of the Imperial Wizard
of the Ku Klux Klan." "Do you honestly think the scheduled
lecture will serve any useful purpose other than inflaming the
Muslims, insulting them and spilling poison in the community?"
It is interesting to see the reaction of the Muslim community
to someone with Muslim shrapnel in her body who speaks against
butchering innocent people in the name of Allah. If they would
put the same energy into condemning the radical element within
Islam and join us in saying that slaughtering people in the name
of Allah is murder – not jihad – maybe we wouldn't
question their loyalty as American citizens. Dr. Patterson refused
to bow to their intimidation and insisted on going on with the
scheduled speech. By the time I showed up at the amphitheater-style
lecture hall on campus, police officers were already standing
at each entrance. Nearly half of the hall was filled with Muslims
with their leaders dressed Osama bin Laden style sitting in the
front two rows at eye level making "their point," that

- VATICAN CITY, JULY 16, 2007 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI will
visit Lourdes in 2008, the 150th anniversary of Mary's 1858 apparitions
in that French village. Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, director
of the Vatican press office, confirmed the visit Sunday, following
a visit from Bishop Jacques Perrier of Lourdes to Rome, to prepare
certain aspects of the papal journey. The Vatican spokesman did
not confirm a date for the Lourdes trip. The jubilee year to
mark the anniversary of the apparitions will begin this Dec.
8 and finish Dec. 8, 2008.

a portrait in contrast: the swagger of a trust-my-gut Texan and
the shyness of a cerebral theologian. But behind the photo-op
set for Saturday's first-ever Bush-Benedict meeting are two men
with some key traits in common. Both, of course, wield their
words and policy with planetary reach thanks to the unique offices
they hold. But there are also some notable parallels in the way
they have come to exercise their respective global roles. More
than six years into Bush's Presidency and two years into Benedict's
papacy, it is clear that neither is cut from the traditional
cloth of international diplomacy. Beyond what are indeed very
different styles and backgrounds and job descriptions are leaders
who pride themselves as straight talkers who act according to
what they see as simple truths. Indeed, the head of the Roman
Catholic Church and the born-again Protestant President acknowledges
that their public deeds - and diplomacy, itself - are driven

- SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS BECOMING MAINSTREAM
- Friday Church News Notes, June 8, 2007 - Seventh-day Adventists
are entering the mainstream of evangelicalism. SDA pastor Doug
Batchelor, for example, is syndicated on web streaming sites
Oneplace.com and Lightsource.com alongside popular evangelicals
such as John MacArthur, David Jeremiah, Greg Laurie, and John
Piper. Seventh-day Adventism was founded upon the alleged prophetic
ministry of a female preacher named Ellen G. White. During the
years between 1844 and 1915 she supposedly received approximately
2,000 visions and dreams in which she was instructed concerning
such things as the alleged divine origin of Adventistism as an
end-times restoration church, the doctrines of Investigative
Judgment, Soul Sleep, and Annihilationism, the necessity of Sabbath-worship,
and the SDA health system. For the first one hundred years of
their history, Seventh-day Adventists were separate from other
denominations, but since the 1960s they have become more mainstream.
They participate in such things as the National Religious Broadcasters
and Inter-Varsity Fellowship conferences and Billy Graham evangelistic
crusades. Some Seventh-day Adventist churches are listed as
members of the Willow Creek Association founded by Bill Hybels.
Dallas Seminary professor Howard Hendricks spoke at the Seventh-day
Adventist Southern College in Collegedale, Tennessee, in 1994.
The Adventist doctrine of salvation is a subtle mixture of grace
and law. They profess to believe that salvation is by grace through
faith, but they redefine this in a way that is contrary to Scripture.
Simply stated, their doctrine is as follows: The sinner is powerless
to live up to God's holy standard, the Law of God, but God has
come to his aid through the sacrifice of Christ and the power
of the Holy Spirit. God offers enablement to the sinner by which
he is empowered to keep the Law. Christ's blood covers all shortcomings,
(but only) as long as these are properly confessed and forsaken.
God offers grace and power; the sinner must take these and develop
within himself, by God's strength, the character demanded by
the Law. This unscriptural doctrine of salvation, which is gathered
from courses and books published by official Adventist presses,
cannot and does not offer any security for the adherent. For

Spiritual formation is based upon experiences promoted
by desert monks and Roman Catholic mystics; these mystics encourage
the use of rituals and practices that if performed will bring
the practitioner closer to God (or enable him to enter God's
presence). The premise is that if one goes into the silence or
sacred space, then the mind is emptied of distractions, and the
voice of God can be heard and personal transformation will take
place. In truth, these hypnotic, mantric style practices bring
one into altered states of consciousness, and rather than the
believer being changed by the Holy Spirit and the indwelling
of the person of Jesus Christ, he is supposedly changed (transformed)

We see that Jesus is given a subordinate position in these prophecies

of this will play itself out. We do know that the Antichrist

- AMA ISSUES ETHICS CODE FOR RFID CHIP IMPLANTS
The American Medical Association recommends that physicians disclose
uncertainties about the risks of implants, add extra layers of
security to protect patient privacy and support ongoing research
regarding the implantation of RFID devices in human beings. By
Beth Bacheldor - July 17, 2007—The American Medical Association
(AMA) has officially established a code of ethics designed to
protect patients receiving RFID implants. The recommendations
focus on safeguarding a patient's privacy and health, and are
the result of an evaluation by the AMA's Council on Ethical and
Judicial Affairs (CEJA) regarding the medical and ethical implications
of RFID chips in humans, as well as a follow-up report recently
released. The latter discusses the possible advantages and specific
privacy and ethical issues of using RFID-enabled implantations
for clinical purposes.
- Entitled "Radio Frequency ID Devices in Humans,"
the report is presented by Robert M. Sade, M.D., who chairs the
CEJA. It acknowledges that RFID's use in health care "represents
another promising development in information technology, but
also raises important ethical, legal and social issues."
The report adds, "Specifically, the use of RFID labeling
in humans for medical purposes may improve patient safety, but
also may pose some physical risks, compromise patient privacy,
or present other social hazards."

The informed-consent process must include disclosure of medical
uncertainties associated with these devices; physicians should
strive to protect patients' privacy by storing confidential information
only on RFID devices utilizing informational security similar

FDA is seeking to eliminate competition to Big Pharma, they have

is that they are openly stating in their final rule a plan that
directly eliminates small businesses from existence. This fascist
organization believes itself to be above
the rule of law and is actively working against America and
the rights of Americans.
- FDA ANNOUNCES PLAN TO ELIMINATE VITAMIN COMPANIES

- The FDA, emboldened by its transformation into a drug
company, has embarked upon an anti-American plan of interfering
with business and intentionally eliminating various dietary supplement
companies from the market. The FDA announcement came on Friday,
June 22, 2007 under the guise of a final rule for dietary supplement
good manufacturing practices (CGMPs). Within this 800 page rule
the FDA states, “We find that this final rule will have
a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small
entities.... Establishments with above average costs, and even
establishments with average costs, could be hard pressed to continue
to operate. Some of these may decide it is too costly and either
change product lines or go out of business.... 140 very small
[less than 20 employees] and 32 small dietary supplement manufacturers
[less than 500 employees] will be at risk of going out of business....
costs per establishment are proportionally higher for very small
than for large establishments....The regulatory costs of this
final rule will also discourage new small businesses from entering
the industry.”
This FDA rule will directly raise the price of dietary supplements
for all consumers. The FDA acknowledges this and says “We
expect that the majority of these costs will be borne by consumers
of dietary supplements, who will likely respond to the increase
in prices by reducing consumption.” Thus, the FDA is intentionally
seeking to shrink the size of the dietary supplement industry
and reduce the influence of safe and effective options to improve
the dreadful trend in the health of Americans. The goal is to
leave toxic drugs as the primary health option.
Independent analysis of this FDA rule has placed cost of compliance
at 10 fold what the FDA estimates with as many as 50% of small
companies unable to comply.
The gutless cowards of Congress, a majority of whom are on the
Big Pharma payroll or will be on it once they leave Congress,
have delegated their lawmaking powers granted by the U.S. Constitution
to a bunch of Big Pharma-friendly unelected bureaucrats at the
FDA, who are in turn using this power to undermine free commerce
and help Big Pharma eliminate competition from the market. This
is the behavior of a government in tyranny, inviting a revolution
by the people. It is noteworthy that fascist
governments of the past have eliminated health freedom and
health options as a necessary condition to enslave and brainwash
a population. Congress has delegated its responsibility to the
people to such an extent that over half the laws in this country
are now concocted by unelected bureaucrats with vested interests.
A Vehicle for Unprecedented Harassment
Any company that can afford to comply with the costs and regulations
of this new FDA rule can be targeted and eliminated at will by
the FDA. In essence, the FDA is seeking to make the dietary supplement
industry document every phase of production, including expensive
testing at multiple points in the production process. Massive
recordkeeping will be required, including all customer complaints
and returns for any reason! This is utterly draconian and unnecessary
interference and burden to free commerce. It is completely Anti-American.
No doubt, the FDA will impose user fees as an additional charge
so that FDA agents will have the funding required to enforce
the regulations. Under the new rule any flaw in bookkeeping can
result in a company’s products being declared adulterated,
allowing the FDA to remove them from the market even though nothing
is wrong with them! A company can then be forced out of business
because they won’t be able to sell any products to raise
the money to comply. The rules are so complex and vague that
the FDA can selectively target any company it chooses, even those

- In May 2005, the U.S. Congress passed, and President George
W. Bush signed into law, the "Emergency Supplemental Appropriations
Act for Defense, the Global War on Terror, and Tsunami Relief
Act." Contained within that legislation was the "Real
ID Act," provisions requiring every state to issue drivers'
licenses that comply with a national standard.
The "Real ID Act" was a response to the September
11 terrorist attacks on the U.S., attacks that were facilitated
by 18 of the 19 hijackers having obtained fraudulent identification
(including U.S. drivers' licenses) that helped them board the
planes they hijacked and flew into the Pentagon and World Trade
Center buildings.
The "Real ID Act" mandates that by 11 May 2008, each
U.S. state implement systems ensuring that motorists who apply
for licenses are who they say they are and do not pose security
risks. After that date, persons looking to obtain or renew drivers'
licenses issued by any of the 50 states will have to provide
documentation of identity (e.g., birth certificate, passport),
documentation of residency address (e.g., utility bills), and
documentation showing they are in the United States legally (e.g.,
birth certificate from a U.S. state or territory, U.S. passport,
U.S. permanent residency card).
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security will extend the 11 May
2008 deadline to 31 December 2009 for states that both ask for
this postponement and provide a compliance plan, so it is reasonable
to assume that motorists of at least some states will have
until the end of 2009 before they are required to provide extensive
information if they're to retain their drivers' licenses.
Numerous states are up in arms about this law, primarily because
they maintain that having to vet every holder of a driver's license
will be a lengthy and expensive process, one that will hopelessly
snarl their motor vehicle and public safety departments. State
officials have also expressed concerns about maintaining individuals'
rights to privacy.

in the event of a mass migration crisis, but she confirmed the
facilities could be employed in national emergencies, including
natural disasters. "The idea of the KBR contract is to support

law the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal
Year 2007. Quietly slipped into the law at the last minute, at
the request of the Bush administration, were sections changing
important legal principles, dating back 200 years, which limit
the U.S. government?s ability to use the military to intervene
in domestic affairs.
- These changes would allow Bush, whenever he thinks it necessary,
to institute martial law?under which the military takes direct
control over civilian administration.
Sec. 1042 of the Act, "Use of the Armed Forces in Major
Public Emergencies," effectively overturns what is known
as posse comitatus. The Posse Comitatus Act is a law, passed
in 1878, that prohibits the use of the regular military within
the U.S. borders. The original passage of the Posse Comitatus
Act was a very reactionary move that sealed the betrayal of Black
people after the Civil War and brought the period of Reconstruction
to an end. It decreed that federal troops could no longer be
used inside the former Confederate states to enforce the new
legal rights of Black people. Black people were turned over to
the armed police and Klansmen serving the southern plantation
owners, and the long period of Jim Crow began.
During the 20th century, posse comitatus objectively started
to play a new role within the bourgeois democratic framework:
as a legal barrier to the direct influence of the powerful military
establishment and the armed forces over domestic U.S. society.
It served to some degree as an obstacle against military coups
and presidents seizing military control over the country. (However,
National Guard troops have been legally available to the ruling
class for use inside the U.S., and there have been other loopholes

Europeans who love Freedom, better emigrate. Europe as we know

and said, "We are watching the world of yesterday."

- SCIENTISTS PLAN 21ST CENTURY INTERNET
- United Press International - CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (UPI) -- The
U.S. National Science Foundation is sponsoring new research called
GENI, aimed at creating a 21st century Internet. The GENI project
-- Global Environment for Network Innovations -- will be guided
by BBN Technologies of Cambridge, Mass., through a $2.5 million,
four-year NSF award. "In a little more than 25 years, the
Internet has gone from an obscure research network to a critical
piece of the national communication infrastructure," said
Deborah Crawford, acting assistant director of NSF's computer
and information science and engineering directorate. "But
an Internet fundamentally better than today's may require large-scale,
systematic research initiatives focused on the hardest scientific
and technical challenges, driven by overarching visions of how
the future might look." Project Director Chip Elliott of
BBN said: "GENI will give scientists a clean slate on which
to imagine a completely new Internet that will likely be materially
different from that of today. We want to ensure that this next
stage of transformation will be guided by the best possible network

told a packed TV studio and the watching world that "They
attack us because we attack them over there" he was making
an extremely cogent and informed point about US foreign policy
on more than one level. Though it is clear Ron Paul was undermining
the fallacy the American people have been sold in the shape of
the "war on terror", Paul was also repeating an assertion
he has made many times before that the agenda of those in the
White House now is a systematic continuation of aggression abroad
as well as an exploitation of its fallout in order to push for
total authoritarian global control. While the media has attempted
to spin his words and acuse him of saying Americans are to blame
for being hated, Paul was actually making it clear that it is
the policy of the US government that is to blame and that has
continued to stimulate hatred, sometimes even for its own gain.
In his famed Neoconned speech a few years ago for example, Paul
outlined the fact that the self-proclaimed neo-conservatives
are not conservative and there is nothing new about the disgraceful
philosophy to which they adhere. Their philosophy of endless
war and big government really finds its roots in Machiavelli's
obsession with the “greatness of the state” along with
Trotsky's belief in “permanent revolution.” Paul has
warned of a new world order based on this philosophy many times.
In an Interview with the Alex Jones show last year Paul sternly
warned listeners of a push towards an authoritarian global government:
"Who do we have at the UN? Bolton, the arch Neo-Con warmonger
and actually what they've done is taken the Neo-Con position
on intervening on the internal affairs of other nations and regime
change and they've institutionalized that in the United Nations,
now the UN is in the business of regime change." "I
think the goal is one world government - we have not only the
U.N. - we have the WTO, the IMF, the World Bank, then we have
all the subsidiaries like NAFTA and hemispheric governments,

- HUMAN IMPLANTABLE COMPUTER CHIP LINKS TO MEDICAL INFO ACCESS:
GOOD OR BAD
- AHN Staff Writer - Wellington, FL (AHN) - A sergeant with
the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office voluntarily underwent
the short medical procedure to have a computer chip implanted
just under the skin of his upper right arm (in his tricep). The
chip merely contains a unique 16-digit number. A simple wand
passed over the chip allows healthcare personnel to retrieve
the number. Then the number can be entered into a password-protected
computer system that allows medical staff access to retrieve
the patient's medical history. The human-implantable computer
chip named the VeriMed Microchip (VeriChip Corporation, Delray
Beach, FL) is the first Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved
device containing Radio Frequency Identification (RFI). The FDA
classified the device as an "implantable radio frequency
transponder system" for patient identification to further
effectively gain access to a person's medical information.
- The device won approval from the FDA nearly two and one-half
years ago. Now the Patient Identification System is currently
established in at least 110 hospitals, including Wellington Regional
Medical Center in Wellington, FL, where the police officer had
his procedure done. Another 400 hospitals plan to join the VeriMed
Physician Network to establish the RFI program at their facilities.
The manufacturer of the chip estimates that nearly 2000 people
have already been implanted with the VeriChip worldwide. The
implications of the chip are viewed in many different aspects.
Those receiving it and establishing the hospital systems believe
it can save lives and identify the patient who is unable to respond.
This includes the National Stroke Association. On the other hand,
some people compare the VeriChip to the "black boxes"
that were placed in automobiles without most consumers even knowing
about it. It is believed by some that this device could eventually
be used against a person's right to privacy by government invasion.
Further privacy issues arise regarding the ability to possibly
utilize the code from the chip to access other personal information
leading the path to identity theft.
- Christians believe this is just the beginning of the end,
as some speak out stating that this device may lead the way to
the fulfillment of prophecy described in the Bible as the "mark
of the beast or Antichrist." Other unrelated devices are
not only out there, but some humans have already received RFI
implants in their hands for computer ID sign-ins. However, none
of these other devices have been approved yet by the federal

in three American teenagers, according to a new report, don't
pay much attention to the news and 32 percent are "casually
attentive" which means that about 60 percent of America's
teens just don't care. A new study from Harvard about young people
and the news also found that "in the case of the newspaper,
radio, and the Internet, an absolute majority of teens and young
adults are non-users. The newspaper, particularly, has little
appeal to young Americans. Two-thirds of teens and young adults
more or less ignore its news coverage. Radio news and Internetbased
news get more attention than the newspaper, but, even in these
cases, most teens and young adults largely avoid exposure. Smaller
but still substantial proportions - two in five - have little
interest in national and local television news". "Clearly",
the authors conclude, "there is a wide generational gap
in news consumption. The daily news is not an integral part of

- DOES THE G-8 SUMMIT HAVE A POINT?

looks like an anachronism
- Though the agenda
leading up to their Vatican meeting - from Iraq to debt relief
to abortion - features points that both converge and diverge,
the 30-plus minutes behind closed doors will above all be a meeting
of two men of Christian devotion, says a Catholic Church insider.
"The Pope knows he has a real believer in front of him,"
says the insider. "Bush's faith is seen here as something
definitely authentic, even in its errors." U.S. policy in
Iraq is the "error" that sticks foremost in minds throughout
the Church hierarchy, going back to Pope John Paul II's firm
opposition to the original invasion in 2003. By all accounts,
Benedict was in lockstep with his then boss in opposing the war,
and has recently commented that there is "nothing positive"
coming out the situation in Iraq. Of particular concern in Rome
is the destiny of the Christian minority in the country. Over
the past week, a Catholic Chaldean priest and three deacons were
killed in Mosul in northern Iraq, while another Chaldean priest
and five parishioners have been abducted in Baghdad. Thousands
of Christians are fleeing the war-ravaged country. However, for
fear of risking a further deterioration of the situation facing
Iraqi ethnic and religious minorities, few clerics are calling
for immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops. Indeed, the official
Vatican position is to support the Iraqi government. Nevertheless,
the Pope is expected to raise the subject of civilian suffering
with the American President. The Pope is also expected to raise
another Mideast issue: the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, where
many in the Vatican privately criticize the U.S. for not taking
a more active role in mediating the divide.
- The Vatican finds
common ground with the Bush Administration on bioethical questions.
Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone recently
praised the White House on its anti-abortion stance: "The
United States is a great country, and the current President has
especially distinguished himself for some positive initiatives
in favor of the defense of life from conception," Bertone
told the newspaper Avvenire. Of course, truth, even that
which is believed to come from above, does not preclude the need
for diplomacy. Private audiences with the Pope, such as the one
Bush will have, tend to be largely symbolic and often formal
affairs, compared with the ongoing substantive talks and collaboration
among the full-time diplomats. The meeting itself is an opportunity
for Bush to remind America's Catholic voters of their "shared
values" with the Pope: from opposition to stem-cell research
to anti-poverty efforts in Africa. After meeting the Pope, Bush
is expected to sit down with the Catholic aid group Communita
di Sant'Egidio, which has been among the best unofficial arms
of Vatican diplomacy, and encompasses the idea of faith-based
initiatives so dear to the American President. The Bush-Benedict
meeting will include public statements about the "excellent
rapport" between the Holy See and the U.S. But it often
takes weeks and months to unpack what has happened in the closed-door
talks. One possible topic of discussion is bound to stay secret:
