The Day of the Lord is Great and very
Terrible!

like to introduce ourselves. George and Rita Williams founded
this ministry. We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years.
We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:
out of the cult of Mormonism. We did not know at the time we
were in a cult. No-one had witnessed to us in 20 years.
- The Holy Spirit brought us to information about all the cults
and the present development of the New World Order. We began
bringing our research to you. Because all the research was already
done, we decided to build a library within Cephas Ministry. Our

The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
which doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word of God has
undergone many changes to fit the present mode. The Bible calls
for a falling away from the truth before Jesus
comes back for His Bride, the true believers are called 'Ekklesia.'
Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the Bible is true
from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, so called democratizing what is left. One third of the
world still remains to be taken over. It again proves that we
are moving to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied
in the Bible. The end result will not be Democracy but a form
of Fascist Communism.
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings with what is happening in Israel. We describe and watch
for signs of the coming Tribulation to confirm that we are moving
into that space of time.

of commentaries online. My views have held up to scrutiny, and
have been "tried by the fire" of ministry. I try to
assume nothing, and confirm every major doctrinal point with
at least two scriptures.
- Where is the rapture found in the Bible? The rapture is the
event described in 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1 Corinthians 15; it
is when Christians will be "caught up" to heaven, and
"changed" to immortality.
- 1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word
of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming
of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with

victory?
- These two passages are often read at Christian funerals,
because they address the topic of death and the Christian hope
of immortality, and they give hope and comfort to believers.
- Some will contentiously claim that the word "rapture"
is not found in the Bible. True, the English word, "rapture"
is not found in the King James Translation. But the word "rapture"
refers to the Greek word, "harpazo", which is translated
as "caught up" in 1 Thess 4:17. Why is that important?
Because the doctrine is right there in the Bible. And second,
you should realize that those who claim the opposite, that "the
word is not in the Bible", are just desperately attempting
to cast any doubt that they can on the issue. Continued:

- SUPREME COURT NIXES SUIT OVER FAITH-BASED PLAN

ruled Monday that ordinary taxpayers cannot challenge a White
House initiative that helps religious charities get a share of
federal money. The 5-4 decision blocks a lawsuit by a group of
atheists and agnostics against eight Bush administration officials
including the head of the White House Office of Faith-Based and
Community Initiatives.
- The taxpayers' group, the Freedom From Religion Foundation
Inc., objected to government conferences in which administration
officials encourage religious charities to apply for federal
grants. Taxpayers in the case "set out a parade of horribles
that they claim could occur" unless the court stopped the
Bush administration initiative, wrote Justice Samuel Alito. "Of
course, none of these things has happened." The justices'
decision revolved around a 1968 Supreme Court ruling that enabled
taxpayers to challenge government programs that promote religion.
- The 1968 decision involved the Elementary and Secondary Education
Act, which financed teaching and instructional materials in religious
schools in low-income areas. "This case falls outside"
the narrow exception allowing such cases to proceed, Alito wrote.
Souter writes dissent In dissent, Justice David Souter said that
the court should have allowed the taxpayer challenge to proceed.
The majority "closes the door on these taxpayers because
the executive branch, and not the legislative branch, caused
their injury," wrote Souter. "I see no basis for this
distinction."
- With the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community
Initiatives, President Bush says he wants to level the playing
field. Religious charities and secular charities should compete
for government money on an equal footing.
- White House spokeswoman Emily Lawrimore called the ruling
"a substantial victory for efforts by Americans to more
effectively aid our neighbors in need of help." She said
the faith-based and community initiative can remain focused on
"strengthening America's armies of compassion." The
White House program appears to have had a substantial impact.

- ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW: CAN A MUSLIM BE A MUSLIM-AMERICAN?

of these facts, why in the world are Americans voting Muslims
into office? ... Seeing the Muslim sworn into the US Congress
recently, brought this article to mind. What do you think? I
think this pretty much sums up this question! We are living in
the twenty first century version of the "Crusades"
Have you ever thought --Is Muslim-American really an oxymoron?
Can a devout Muslim be an American patriot and a loyal citizen?
I forwarded that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia
for 20 years.

- Theologically, no. Because his allegiance is
to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.
Religiously, no. Because no other religion is accepted
by his Allah except Islam (Qu ran, 2:256)
Scripturally, no. Because his allegiance is to
the five pillars of Islam and the Qu ran.
Geographically, no. Because his allegiance is to
Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially, no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids
him to make friends with Christians or Jews.
Politically, no. Because he must submit to the
mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel
and destruction of America, the great Satan.
Domestically, no. Because he is instructed to marry
four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him
Qu ran 4:34).
Intellectually, no. Because he cannot accept the
American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles
and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically, no. Because Islam, Mohammed, and
the Qu ran do not allow freedom of religion and expression.
Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government
is either dictatorial or Autocratic.
Spiritually, no. Because when we declare "one
nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind,
while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he
ever called love in the Qu ran's 99 excellent names"
Therefore after much study and deliberation ... perhaps we should
be very suspicious of All Muslims in this country. They
obviously cannot be both good Muslims and good Americans.
Call it what you wish ... it's still the truth. If you find yourself
intellectually in agreement with the above statements, perhaps
you will share this with your friends. The more who understand
this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The
religious war is bigger and more complex than most Americans
currently know or understand.

 "THE SECRET"
SEDUCTION
By Dave Hunt - The latest occult scam to capture the imagination
of the West is called The Secret. The book by that name, a top
New York Times bestseller, has quickly sold more than 6 million
copies and the DVD over 2 million copies. Both contain numerous
errors, misrepresentations, false premises, and false promises.
Who cares? You should. With the following information, you could
rescue someone from hell.
The numerous misrepresentations begin with the title itself.
The Secret is not a secret at all, but recycled Hinduism, shamanism,
and New Age folly. One of many huge lies is its claim: "You
create your own reality with your mind." This was the serpent's
false promise to Eve the promise of godhood Gen. 3:5). Embracing
that delusion cost Eve and her descendants Eden's paradise and
would have barred mankind from heaven had not Christ died for
the sins of the world. In the 6,000 years since Eden, the serpent's
promise has not been fulfilled in even one person's life. Misinformation
and false claims follow one another in a dizzying parade of absurdities.
Sprinkled throughout the book and DVD is the claim that the Secret
is scientifically proved to be true. For example, "It has
been scientifically proven that an affirmative thought is hundreds
of times more powerful than a negative thought." When? Where?
And How? No scientific tests ever measured positive and negative
thoughts, nor could there he any such test because thoughts are
nonphysical and their "power" cannot he measured. Thoughts
exist outside the realm of physical science. Nor is there any
such thing as "mental science or a "science of the
mind." That fact is only one of many reasons why psychology
could never be a science, in spite of decades of claiming that
it is.
- The bait on the hook of The Secret is stated repeatedly.
The Secret is stated repeatedly. "The Secret gives you want
happiness, health, and wealth… You can have, do, or be anything
you want.. We can have whatever it is that we choose." Common
sense replies. "Thanks, but no thanks." But millions
being introduced to the Secret are excited and eager to make
it work for them.
- The foundational lies arc basically that there is no personal
God who created the universe and who makes laws that man must
obey. The universe has always been here, yet we create it with
our minds through numerous occult laws that exist to serve our
selfish desires. One of the most enticing is "the law of
attraction", whatever thought (health, wealth, disaster,
gain, loss, pain, joy, etc.) you hold in your mind, you will
attract to yourself as a reality of your life. We are all gods
who create our individual destinies with our thoughts.
- The amorality of the Secret ought to be evident to anyone
who stops to think. Hitler was no more responsible for the Holocaust
than were its victims who collectively created it with their
minds. So it was with the Titanic, the crash of every plane,
and the victims of every rape and murder.
- The hook and DVD are based upon nothing more than statements
of a number of supposed experts in the area of success motivation
and positive thinking. Who are they? A "nonaligned, transreligious
pro- gressive ...spiritual luminaries... teacher of spiritual
metaphysics.. Feng Shui master... successful business leaders..
founders of the New Thought movement .. a modern-day spiritual
messenger, et al." They are certainly not in the same class
as Jesus Christ, who proved His deity with His deity with His
sinless life and miracles, died for our sins, and rose from the
dead. The "experts" cited and quoted in The' Secret
are not a group into whose hands anyone should trust their lives,

- TTHE SECRET'S DIRTY LITTLE SECRET
Since Oprah Winfrey has featured The Secret twice now on her
show which reaches nearly fifty million people, and claimed that
the teaching of The Secret stands behind her own massive success,
The Secret has already passed up the last Harry Potter installment
and sits atop the New York Times best selling list. However,
millions of people, including uninformed Christians who are being
duped by The Secret, have no idea that the "mind science"
behind the Secret espouses much of the same witchcraft found
in Harry Potter. Since Oprah Winfrey claims to be a 'Christian"
countless Christians have been swept away by the delusion. Millions
are unaware that the original version of the Secret upon which
the current version is based was channeled by a legion of spirit
entities who call themselves "Abraham" and possess
a woman by the name of Esther Hicks. Esther Hicks was by far
the most prominent teacher of the Secret in the first version.
- Millions are ignorant of the fact that the essence of the
message of The Secret are the same lies that were taught, via
the serpent as recorded in Genesis chapter three. Millions are
unaware that the message behind the Secret comprises the esoteric
teaching behind the strong delusion of the coming Antichrist.
Is The Secret one more piece of Satan's end game puzzle, which
Jesus declared will "deceive, if possible even the elect"
(Matthew 24:24).
- Is Oprah Winfrey, working with spirit entities which she
has summoned to possess her? How does her success and the use
of her show for New Age proselytizing relate to the Secret and
the deconstruction of Christianity?

 I wonder why
Jesus is painted as this humanitarian, hippy, who walks around
doing charity all of the time. I wonder why we never
see the verses such as : Mark 1:38. So many times Jesus stresses
the issue that he didn’t come to meet
peoples physical needs but to pay for the penalty of their sin.
I believe we should clothe the naked, feed the hungry, and house
the homeless; however, when our ministries become focused on
that we have now side-stepped our mission which is to preach
the Gospel and look no different than the Peace Corps. If I had
to choose give me a hungry saint over a full devil."

- I cannot find anywhere in the Bible
where we have the ability to have a Spiritual Covering gift that
we can use to cover others. There are 47 references to the word
covering in the entire Bible and not one of them refer to the
type of covering that Paula White mentions. This concerns me
greatly as this type of teaching does more damage to her listeners
than meets the eye. One of the references in the Bible concerning
the word "covering" was certainly not the "covering"
Paula mentions. "Woe
to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel,
but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my
spirit, that they may add sin to sin:" Isaiah
30:1 KJV
- What we have here is a person claiming
to have this special gift therefore allowing herself to be elevated
above normal man (and/or woman in this case). Those who would
follow Paula White are deceived by this type of teaching. This
teaching emphasizes the powers of Paula and not God whom is all
powerful and knowledgeable. When the eye and mind is not on Jesus
and Him crucified but on man, then we have allowed a door to
be opened which Satan will instantly slip through and the deception
will begin on an even stronger level.

- Most are happy to live in the U.S. - A recent survey by the
Pew Research Center has found that 78 percent of U.S. Muslims
believe the use of suicide bombings against civilian targets
to defend Islam is never justified. Five percent said it is "rarely"
justified, 7 percent said it is "sometimes" justified,
and 1 percent said it is "often" justified. Nine percent
said they did not know or declined to answer. By comparison,
Muslims in France, Spain and Britain were almost twice as likely
to say suicide bombing is sometimes or often justified, and public
acceptance of suicide bombing is even higher in some countries
with large Muslim populations, such as Nigeria, Jordan and Egypt.
The Muslim population in the U.S. is about 2.35 million. Some
two-thirds of the adult Muslim population in this country are
immigrants, hut seem to have a generally positive view of U.S.
society. Most call their communities good or excellent places
to live, and most report that a large portion of their closest
friends are non-Muslims. They are slightly more satisfied than
the general public with the state of the nation, and believe
that Muslims coming to the U.S. should assimilate into American
culture rather than remain distinct. A larger percentage of American
Muslims believe that people who work hard and want to get ahead
in the United States can do so than do the general public (71%
to 64%). "What emerges is the great success of the Muslim-American
population in its socioeconomic assimilation," said Amaney
Jamal, a senior advisor on the poll and an assistant professor
of politics at Princeton University. "Given that for the
past few years they’ve been dealing with the backlash from
9/11, these numbers are extremely impressive." Amajority
(53%) say it is more difficult to be a Muslim in the U.S. since
Sept. 11, 2001, and most think the government "singles out"
Muslims for surveillance and monitoring.

You know how emotional Pentecostals get and she was relating
nothing but pure Gospel very convincingly, even had me in tears,
and guess what came out just before she was through, nothing
but the "Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. It is
everywhere.

I was just settling down that all was well until 4th of July
week. Sure enough Billy Graham was presented as a hero and he

by Rick Warren as another example of a hero and then related
an admiration for a professor at the Denver Seminary, another
liberal "no no" ecumenical school from way back. The
preacher probably lost a few after that sermon. I know that was
the end for me. I should have known when I saw their new mega
church.

Ministry) is a movement of churches headquartered in Miami, Florida

in Latin America, but also in the US and Canada. The founder
recently appeared on the NBC Today Show and ABC News Primetime
and announced himself as Jesus the Christ....

Over the past year, Creciendo en Gracia parishioners have held
at least 40 protests against the organized church in more than
a dozen countries. And Miranda says this is just the beginning.
“My purpose,” he explains, “is to close down every
church so the true church can begin. You could say I’m leading
the greatest reformation that has ever happened.” Miranda’s
followers believe they are God’s true chosen people and
call their children the “super race.”
- They are convinced other Bible based churches peddle deceit
and spread poverty, war, and disease. The Creciendo en Gracia
Website describes ministers of other faiths as “evil and
perverse men.” And it makes this promise: “We are going
to shut the mouths of those dogs! We are ready to give our lives
for this.” They recently disrupted a Costa Rican Jewish
parade with signs that read, “Israel is cursed” and
“We are the true chosen people.”
- “We’re the government of God on Earth,” explains
Miranda. “We will spread all over and rule the world. We
will control the church, the economy, society, education, politics,
and technology. There will be no war, no corruption. I mean,
if a lie can change the world, why can’t the truth do it?”
In recent months Miranda has been banned by Honduras, El Salvador,
and Guatemala, where officials labeled him a "terrorist."
 In February 2007, he and some
of his followers tattooed themselves with the number 666, CNN
news service reports. Miranda said “666 antichrist means
‘do not put your eyes on Jesus Christ of Nazareth put it
on Jesus after the cross,’” meaning himself. He also
claims that the translation we have of “antichrist”
is incorrect, as it should be the “new Christ.”
- Miranda teaches that the Devil has been destroyed, and that
Hell does not exist. Nevertheless, he claims there are two classes
of people: those who reject his message and are therefore predestined,
and those who accept his word as the truth. The latter are saved
and can not lose their salvation. Hence they are allowed to indulge
in sin. When Jesus died on the cross, he washed away people's
sin. So, he believes, Christ and the anti-Christ are one and
the same.

action has forced her husband, head of the multinational Growing
in Grace ministry, to give testimony that for the first time

of a recent hearing to federal prosecutors, saying he felt ‘’ethically
compelled'’ to bring it to their attention.

preacher Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda has prompted a judge to alert
the feds about his ministry’s operations. The Miami-based
preacher who has basked in international attention since declaring
himself the second coming of Jesus Christ has used charitable
donations to his ministry for personal expenses — paying
$144,000 a year in alimony to his first wife and buying property
in his and his relatives’ names. Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda
disclosed details of the previously secret financial workings
of his church through sworn testimony last month in an increasingly
nasty divorce from his second wife. The revelations from the
witness stand, which experts say suggest violations of federal
law, prompted a Miami-Dade circuit judge to send a transcript
to federal prosecutors this month with a letter saying he was
‘’ethically compelled'’ to bring it to their attention.
The U.S. attorney in Miami has confirmed opening an investigation.

support of themselves and force their views on persons of other
faiths, or of no faith, undermine all our civil rights. Moreover,
state support of an established religion tends to make the clergy
unresponsive to their own people, and leads to corruption within
religion itself. Erecting the 'wall of separation between church
and state,' therefore, is absolutely essential in a free society."

- President George W. Bush has become dangerously steeped in
ideas of Armageddon, the Apocalypse, an imminent war with Satanic
forces in the Middle East, and an urgency to construct an American
theocracy to fulfill God's end-of-days plan, according to close
observers. Historians and investigative journalists following
the "end-time Christian" movement have grown alarmed
at the impact it may be having on Bush's Middle East policies,
including the current war in Iraq, the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian
crisis, the strife in Lebanon and the administration's repeated
attempts to find a cause for war against Iran.
- Many people are aware that Bush is "the most aggressively
religious president in American History," as eminent historian
Arthur Schlesinger Jr. described him, (Schlesinger, "War
and the Presidency," 143) but most remain without a clue
to what this actually means.One piece of evidence is Bush's funneling
billions of dollars to "faith-based" organizations.
Faith offices making grants are now so widespread inside government
agencies that federal watchdog officials have serious difficulties
accounting for how much money has actually been spent. (Goldberg,
"Kingdom Coming" 121). Marvin Olasky, a devotee of
end-time theology, designed Bush's faith-based welfare concept.

- Further evidence is the Bush administration's transformation
of the military. Until complaints forced its removal, a religious
recruitment video made by a group called the Christian Embassy
appeared on the Department of Defense web site. The video included
interviews made inside the Pentagon with seven high-ranking military
officers, congressmen, other federal officials and even the Christian
Ethiopian ambassador to the US about their personal relationship
with Christ. Army Lt. General William "Jerry" Boykin
made headlines in 2003 when he said he believed America was engaged
in a holy war as a "Christian nation" battling Satan.
Adversaries can be defeated, he said, "only if we come against
them in the name of Jesus." Despite his highly publicized
rhetoric, Boykin remains Bush's deputy undersecretary of defense
for intelligence.
- Beneath Bush's benign-sounding words, "faith" and
"Christian," lies the deeper reality of the authoritarian,
doomsday religious beliefs of the ministers and spiritual counselors
that surround him, say experts. Officially he has been at pains
to show an openness traditionally expected of an American president.
Typical is his assertion in a speech at a National Prayer Breakfast
found on the White House website: "There's another part
of our heritage we are showing in Iraq, and that is the great
American tradition of religious tolerance. The Iraqi people are
mostly Muslims, and we respect the faith they practice."
However, experts point out the particular brand of Christianity
that permeates Bush's environment is anything but tolerant. For
example, Bush's own personal minister, Franklin Graham, has called
Islam "evil and very wicked." He has said, "Let's
use the weapons we have, the weapons of mass destruction if need
be, and destroy the enemy."
- Respected journalist Bill Moyers says that for the religious
figures around Bush "a war with Islam in the Middle East
is not something to be feared, but welcomed - an essential conflagration
on the road to redemption." Scholars calculate that the
group, which religion author Lynne Bundesen has dubbed "end-time
Christians," has up to 40 million followers. Though not
all may fully subscribe to the doomsday theology, they are inundated
with it in books, megachurches, and on Christian broadcasting
stations that reach millions upon millions of the faithful and
are almost entirely dominated by end-time preachers. The messages
come from "dispensationalists," who believe that true
believers are close to the time of being "raptured,"
or drawn up into heaven by God, in the days before the final
battles. They also emanate from various stripes of "dominionists"
pushing to erect an American theocracy for the end-of-the-world

M. Russell Ballard announced Monday that The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints has called its millionth missionary
since the faith's founding in 1830. "The first million was
hard," said Elder Dieter Uchtdorf, a member of the church's
Quorum of Twelve Apostles who sits on the church's missionary
executive committee. "The second million will be easy. [The
number of missionaries] will grow and it will grow fast."
Mormon founder Joseph Smith believed he had a mandate to "proclaim
the gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation, kindred, tongue,
and people." Shortly after establishing the church with
six people, Smith sent his younger brother, Samuel Smith, to
neighboring towns with a knapsack full of copies of the Book
of Mormon, the faith's unique scripture. Now scores of young
men and women, older single women and retired couples serve the
church as full-time missionaries for 18 months to two years.
They are assigned in pairs to proselytize, perform humanitarian
service, help people trace their genealogy or anything else church
leaders ask them to do. They pay about $400 per month for the
privilege; those who cannot afford it can be subsidized by the
church.
"They face rejection and sometimes verbal abuse, but they

2007 - Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair met Saturday with
Pope Benedict XVI in a private audience at the Vatican, heightening
speculation that the outgoing premier may convert to Catholicism.
A Vatican statement said afterwards that they had discussed "particularly
delicate subjects", including the Middle East, the future
of the European Union and recent unspecified legislation passed
in Britain. It made no mention of any possibility of Blair changing
his faith. .. "I heard it was a success," the pope
said to Blair, who confirmed that the talks on an outline for
a new EU treaty had ended in accord. The reference in the Vatican
statement to British legislation was thought to refer to a law
obliging adoption agencies to accept applications from homosexual
couples, which upset the Catholic Church.
- Talk of conversion during his decade in power has dogged
Blair, who reportedly regularly attends Catholic mass with his
family at Chequers, the country retreat of British prime ministers
north-west of London.

- BENEDICT XVI CHANGES RULES FOR PAPAL ELECTIONS

- Pope Benedict XVI has changed the rules for electing popes,
making it potentially harder to name a successor but ensuring
that when the white smoke rises from the Sistine Chapel, the
new pontiff will have broad support among cardinals. Benedict
issued a one-page document in Latin on Tuesday requiring that
two-thirds of the cardinals in a conclave agree on the new pontiff.
The move was a return to Vatican tradition and reversed Pope
John Paul II's 1996 decision to let an absolute majority of cardinals
decide on the next pope if they remained deadlocked after 33
rounds of balloting.
- Some analysts had argued that with John Paul's rules, the
majority bloc in a conclave could push through a candidate by
simply holding tight until the balloting shifted from the two-thirds
requirement to an absolute majority.
- In the document, Benedict said his predecessor had received
a number of requests to return to the former system after he
issued his 1996 document. "It would seem that Pope Benedict
wants to ensure that whoever is elected pope enjoys the greatest
possible consensus," said the Vatican spokesman, the Rev.
Federico Lombardi.
- The new document — essentially an executive order called
a "motu proprio" — came as something of a surprise,
since the main public criticism of the Vatican's voting process
to date has concerned the exclusion of cardinals over age 80.
- There was no explanation about why the pope, who turned 80
in April, made the change now. It came just before he goes on
vacation and the Vatican essentially shuts down for the summer.
