like to introduce ourselves. George and Rita Williams founded
this ministry. We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years.
We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:
out of the cult of Mormonism. We did not know at the time we
were in a cult. No-one had witnessed to us in 20 years.
- The Holy Spirit brought us to information about all the cults
and the present development of the New World Order. We began
bringing our research to you. Because all the research was already
done, we decided to build a library within Cephas Ministry. Our
newsletters are not designed to provoke
anger which is strictly prohibited in Scripture. It is to shed
light on activities by those who would deceive those who are
recorded in the Book of Life by devious methods and systematic

The focus of these newsletters is to prove why we had to leave
the world system. We are called 'Watchmen on the Wall' which
God always had during the Old / New Testament Times.

The news about churches is unedited unless indicated by Ednotes.
The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
and today's church doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word
of God has undergone many changes to fit the progressive modes.
Many new Bible tranlations have brought confusion. The Bible
calls for a falling away from the truth before
Jesus comes back for His Bride. The true believers are called
'Ekklesia.' Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the
Bible is true from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, the so called democratizing what is left of the world.
This is a deception since the underlying new world global government
is developed by implementing sustainable development. The
Bible prophesies that there will be ten kings (ten horns), each
king (horn) will receive a region of the world as a reward for
work well done for the Antichrist. This is the reason for the
present development of NAU (The North American Union) as well
as the war in the Middle East. It again proves that we are moving
to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible.
The end result will not be Democracy but a form of Fascist Communism
(Public/Private Corporations enslaving mankind).
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings because Israel is the time piece of the Biblical Prophecy.
1948 was the beginning of the figtree representing Israel, coming
back to life. Israel was allowed to return to its land. Israel
is the rock upon which the world stumbles and crumbles. We watch
and visit Israel for signs which point to the Tribulation to
confirm that we are moving into that space of time.

The Pilgrims' Most Precious Cargo
When the Pilgrims arrived in America in 1620, they brought along
supplies, a consuming passion to advance the Kingdom of Christ,
a bright hope for the future, and – their most precious
cargo – the Word of God.
- Have you ever wondered which version of the Bible they brought
to America on the Mayflower? There was the King James Version
of 1611, but there was an earlier version – one not sanctioned
by the government – the 1599 Geneva Bible, a forgotten yet
priceless treasure.
- The Geneva Bible, printed more than 200 times between 1560
and 1644, was the most widely read and influential English Bible
of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. This superb translation
was the product of the best Protestant scholars of the day and
became the Bible of choice for many of the greatest writers,
thinkers, and historical figures of that time. Men such as Shakespeare,
John Bunyan, and John Milton used the Geneva Bible, and it was
reflected in their writings. During the English Civil War, Oliver
Cromwell issued a pamphlet containing excerpts from the Geneva
Bible to his troops. William Bradford cited the Geneva Bible
in his book "Of Plymouth Plantation."
- The Geneva Bible became the most popular version of its time
partly because of its extensive margin notes. These notes, written
by Reformation leaders such as John Calvin, John Knox, Miles
Coverdale, William Whittingham, Anthony Gilby, and others, were
included to explain and interpret the scriptures for the common
people.
- For nearly half a century these notes helped the people of
England, Scotland, and Ireland understand the Bible and true
liberty. King James despised the Geneva Bible because he considered
the notes on key political texts to be seditious and a threat
to his authority. Unlike the King James Version, the Geneva Bible
was not authorized by the government. It was truly a Bible by
the people and for the people. The Geneva Bible is the Bible

- PRESBYTERIANS TO CONSIDER REDEFINING MARRIAGE
MINNEAPOLIS- This week’s General Assembly of the Presbyterian
Church (U.S.A.) will consider redefining marriage to include
same-sex couples and allowing ministers to perform same-sex weddings.
- Carmen Fowler, president of the Presbyterian Lay Committee,
believes those sorts of initiatives are to blame for the denomination’s
declining membership.
Her group supports upholding the church’s traditional definition
of marriage.
The PCUSA’s newly-elected moderator, Cynthia Bolbach, supports
gay marriage but told the assembly on Saturday that the denomination
has become paralyzed.
Fowler says that’s what happens when a church body becomes

June 19th, we posted a second article titled TRAVESTY

This second article included a link to a radio interview by VCY
America’s Ingrid Schlueter and Mare Danielsen on this same
subject. Yesterday, June 30th, a Wisconsin radio station (Lifest
is held in WI)
pulled its sponsorship of Lifest because of Wallis’
appearance. All of these things led to a response by Jim Wallis

- Several months ago, I was invited to speak at Lifest,
a Christian festival in Wisconsin with more than 100 musicians
and 50 speakers that draws tens of thousands of mostly young
people. That invitation has recently become controversial, as
a number of false accusations have been made against me and our
Sojourners ministry. One
long article [Danielsen's article on Lighthouse Trails] actually
put me in the company of Rick Warren, Bill & Lynne Hybels,
and the National Association of Evangelical as heretical. Most
recently, a local radio station in Wisconsin pulled
their sponsorship of Lifest, saying “we believe the
social justice message and agenda they promote is a seed of secular
humanism, seeking an unholy alliance between the Church and Government.”
Nevertheless, Bob Lenz
and the leadership of Lifest stood by their invitation for me
to speak next week. I wrote this statement at Bob’s request
in response to the controversy.
- It has come to my attention that there is some controversy
around the invitation I received to speak at Lifest. It seems
there have been false rumors and misperceptions spreading about
me and about Sojourners, the organization I lead. I wanted to
help clarify who we are in an effort for us all to put the main
focus back on the mission of Lifest, which is to call people

- CONCERNING JIM WALLIS AND LEONARD SWEET
Dear friends, What do you think of Lighthouse Trails response
to Wallis and many of his friends, like Leonard Sweet, who clearly
have changed and redefined the gospel of Jesus Christ to suit
their own political-religious understanding of how this world
should function? I have written about this left and right wing
political debate recently, trying to convince my friends and
family members to keep their hearts and minds fixed on the person
of Jesus Christ, his atoning shed blood, his glorious resurrection,
and his return to this war-torn planet. For then he will come
in righteous judgment "making war" against his enemies
and imprison Satan and the fallen angels in the Bottomless Pit
for one-thousand years.
My hope is that my right wing conservative friends will not use
this delusion of Wallis and Sweet as justification to join with
the extremists from the right wing who, like Wallis, want to
take dominion over American and the nations. Both extremes are
in serious error as they reject the sound prophetic teaching
of the pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ as he returns to
intervene in the affairs of men and fallen angels who bring nothing
but death and destruction upon themselves.
Robert, the list you have of people that support Leonard Sweet
and Frank Viola is astonishing. How can these men and women,
many like Tommy Barnett who claim to be born again leaders, be
so seduced into joining and mixing with the teachings of Sweet
and his friends. It is one thing to be kind and compassionate
on those who are following a false gospel, for our Lord Jesus
looked down from his cross on his accusers and asked his Father
to offer them forgiveness. But is a grave error to not discern
the false teachings of these men who are now leading Christendom
into a great apostasy. They are even joining themselves to the
Papacy, hoping to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, but
without the bodily presence of our Lord Jesus.
Please reconsider what you have joined yourself to my friend.

declined to be interviewed, although a video of a news conference
with him was featured on the school website.
- ”Christians, Muslims and Jews will now have the opportunity
to take classes together to learn about each other’s religious
traditions, to study topics that deal specifically with interfaith
issues and to build bridges through coursework that assists them,
our society’s future religious leaders, to act collaboratively
in response to the various issues that face our society and world,”
the statement said. The statement from Pearce said the program
the school calls “the university project” isn’t
compromising the basic truths of Christianity.
- In answer to a question concerning the reality that all three
faiths have exclusive truth claims, the statement says only some
of each religion’s followers hold to exclusivity. “There
are a variety of beliefs regarding exclusivity in each of the
traditions, and not all Christians, Jews and Muslims believe

- A NEW WORRY FOR PARENTS
- ‘Digital drugs’ sold on the Internet induce altered
states of consciousness - LTRP Note: The following article describes
how teens are ”getting high” from listening to certain
high frequency digital sounds on the Internet. Basically, what
is happening is the sounds are being used as a mantra to take
listeners into altered states of consciousness, similar to drug
use or contemplative/centering prayer (i.e., eastern meditation).
It was the contemplative mystic, Thomas Merton, who compared
contemplative meditation to that of an LSD trip. Now, parents
have a new worry – their kids getting “high” without
drugs. All the more reason for Christian parents to make sure
their teens understand the dangers of contemplative spirituality.

frequencies” when meditating. After you read the article

“digital drugs” – sometimes sold under the brand
name I-Dosers – and doubt whether sound patterns could have
the same effect as chemical drugs. But some parents – and
at least one Oklahoma school system – worry that downloading
these sounds could be a teen’s first step toward physical
drugs.

- WHY THE TRINITY REALLY MATTERS
07/22/10 - Author: Ed Young Jr. - I want to know God more than
anything. However, in order to know Him, I have got to know and
understand the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God
the Holy Spirit are one in essence and three in persons. They
are co-existent and co-eternal.
- It’s popular these days, I mean it really is, to say,
“Why is the Trinity such a hot issue? Aren’t we splitting
hairs? I mean, what does it really matter?” I’m talking
to you, friends, about the crux of Christianity. I’m talking
to you about the foundation of our faith.
- What if I said, “Okay, here’s a couple of hundred
thousand dollars. Go out and build a house.” You wouldn’t
say, “Who cares about the foundation? I’m just going
to go ahead and build the house.” Foundations matter, don’t
they? They matter, especially in this area. They really matter.
We are talking about something that is huge. We are talking about
the very foundation of our faith.
- We have this belief these days, this politically correct
belief that God is like this big “smoothie” God. Anywhere
you look these days, you will see a smoothie store on the corner
-- Smoothie King, Jamba Juice -- we even sell smoothies at The
Source. I love smoothies. Smoothies are good. You can customize
your smoothie.
- A lot of us think God is a “smoothie” God. We think,
“You can throw Islam, Scientology, Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses,
astronism and all this stuff in the blender, and God could just
push the button and blend them all together. They are all the
same.” Whenever someone says that, they are advertising
their ignorance. They are saying, “You know what? I have
never studied the world religions. I never have.” Christianity
is totally unique and totally different from all the other major
world religions. In God’s blender, it’s God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. You will never have another
smoothie like it. It’s unique.
- In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth
and the life.” He said that. He didn’t say, “I’m
an option.” He didn’t say, “I’m one of many
different ways.” He said, “I am the way.” I didn’t
say it. I’m just telling you what Jesus said. You see, the
exclusivity of Christianity really bothers people in our pluralistic
culture. We can’t take it.
- The Trinity – it’s unique. Think about Islam, for
example. Muslims deny the Trinity. They see God as a sequestered
god, a god you can’t really know, and an authoritarian god.
Think about Mormonism. Mormons deny the Trinity. In Mormonism,
everybody is a god. You’re a god. He’s a god. She’s
a god. They deny the Trinity. Jehovah’s Witnesses deny the
Trinity. They feel that God the Father created God the Son. One
sect of Hinduism denotes over 330 million different gods. They,
obviously, deny the Trinity. Buddhism is just a philosophy of
life. So, to sit there and say, “Yeah, all the world religions
are kind of the same…” Hello? They are not.

- The Amplified side provides us with more detail: "For
her iniquities (her crimes and transgressions) are piled up as
high as heaven, and God has remembered her wickedness and her
crimes and calls them up for settlement."

- UNITING RELIGIONS FOR WORLD CHANGE: THE G8 WORLD RELIGIOUS
SUMMIT

- Points to Ponder About Christian Interfaith Involvement:
1) The interfaith approach is rationally directionless. If all
religions are equally valid or hold some common level of spiritual
authenticity, as the interfaith movement asserts, then all religions
are ultimately baseless. Therefore, the nonbeliever can logically
reject Christianity as a meaningless sect among many meaningless
faiths. For by acknowledging another religion as a vehicle that
proclaims the revelation of God, even tentatively, the exclusive
nature of God as revealed in the Bible (Isaiah 45:18-22; John
14:6-7) can no longer be viewed as exclusively true. The door
has now been opened to consider any other spiritual claim as
legitimate; and to not accept these other claims would demonstrate
an intolerant exclusivity.
- Either Jesus Christ is who He claimed to be, the great I
AM 'the only true God' or He's only one way among many and His
claim is false. It's an all or nothing position (see Joshua 24:14-24).
- 2) The interfaith position muddies the Christian mission
of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ as God incarnate come
to redeem sinful humanity. Inter-religious bridge building bolsters

- A sacred fire was lit. Mother Earth, we were told, needs
to hear that we love her, so give a 'prayer of gratitude' to
the Earth; 'Because out of Mother Earth comes all we need to
live 'she gives us the food, the water, the medicines, and the
teachings.'
- We were asked to privately perform a water ritual, for this
will give strength to Mother Earth. Everything that's alive,
'even the water' it was explained to the delegates and observers,
has the spirit. We were told that religiously speaking, 'there
is not only one way, there is many ways' and to go to the sacred
fire and 'invoke the spirits.'
- Drummers summoned the power of the eagle spirit, because
it brings ?the spirit of love, it brings vision. The Eagle carries
our wishes and our prayers.' And this eagle spirit will tell
the Great Spirit of the wonderful things happening in this gathering.
- And what a gathering! As an observer to the 2010, G8 World
Religions Summit (WRS), I listened as the opening ceremonies
set the tone for this remarkable event. The Secretary General
of the WRS, Dr. James Christie 'the Dean of Theology at the University
of Winnipeg' welcomed us as religious equals, stating that what
was important was that we 'offer our service, and ourselves,
and our lives' to the 'God we know by so many names.'(1)
- This multi-faith perspective was evident in full color; Hindu
swamis in flowing orange attire, members of the Saudi Ministry
of Islamic Affairs dressed in desert garb, Jewish yamakas, cross
pendants and clerical collars, Shinto robes, Orthodox priests
in black, Salvation Army uniforms, and Baha?i leaders and evangelical
Christians in business suits. Religions from every corner of
the planet were represented. Even so, very few people have heard
about the G8 World Religions Summit, held in Winnipeg, Manitoba
from June 21-23.
- Compared to the G8/G20 political summits occurring days later
in Toronto and Huntsville, Ontario, the WRS 'the official religious
parallel' was an ultra-tame affair. The security budget for the
Winnipeg event was zero; nobody burnt any cars, and no windows
were smashed. The only 'protestors' were a group of Mennonites
who, a few days before the Summit began, sang songs of support
at a downtown park. (2) In fact, many of the international participants
had 'never heard of Winnipeg' before. (3)
- Nevertheless, what occurred in Winnipeg will likely have
a far more real impact at the local level than what transpired
in Toronto. Why do I say this? Because of the direct lines of
influence that radiate from the World Religions Summit right
down to individual bodies. It?s a top-down strategy ensuring
that religious people will fall in line with an emerging global
framework ? a type of world theology along with an international
system of socialism. And it's going to work, particularly in
the Christian community.
- The history of the G8 World Religions Summit goes back to
2005. That year, Jim Wallis of Sojourners 'a left wing Christian
advocacy group' teamed up with the Archbishop of Canterbury to
raise the voices of the faith leaders of the world in unity and
in a call for justice.' (4) The 2005 event was a small, ecumenical
affair made up of representatives from Catholic groups, the National
Association of Evangelicals, World Vision, the Salvation Army,
the Mennonite Central Committee, the World Evangelical Alliance,
and other church bodies.
- These leaders released an 'Action on Poverty' document calling
for governments to alleviate poverty, and for faith communities
to generate the necessary moral will. The text itself was very
short and ambiguous, with a underlying socialist slant.
- The next year, the G8 religious summit took place in Moscow
and a host of other religions contributed; leaders from the Muslim,
Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, and Shinto communities ? along with
Christians, hashed out another declaration, this time calling
for a 'more systemic partnership of religious leaders with the
United Nations.' In 2007 at Cologne, the emphasis was on the
UN Millennium Development goals and the support for a worldwide
climate change 'protection agreement.' 2008 and 2009 saw the
religious leaders meeting in Sapporo/Kyoto/Osaka, Japan and Rome,
Italy.
- Sapporo's declaration called for religions to unite in a
'commitment to peace'? It also recognized that 'religious communities
are the world's largest social networks which reach into the
furthest corners of the earth.'In other words, religions are
powerful actors in the global field.
- Hence, the Sapporo text demanded a system of 'Shared Security'
based on interdependence, the 'mysterious giftedness of all existence,'
the establishment of an 'Earth Fund dedicated to environmental
protection,' and a binding global climate treaty. Another document
was released in Japan, recognizing that the 'dharmic, pantheistic
and ancestor traditions of Eastern societies remain a practical
tool' in defence of the environment.' And religious diversity
was expounded as part of the divine, cosmic order ' therefore,
' we seek to be considered equal partners.' (5)
- Finally in Rome, faith leaders focused on the worsening global
economy and broadly called for a 'new financial pact, 'P without
really explaining what it would entail. To be fair to the Rome
event, the entire summit was overshadowed by the almost simultaneous
release of Pope Benedict's encyclical Charity in Truth, which
shook the international community in its brazen call for a world
political authority 'with teeth.' (See the Forcing Change report,
'Sowing the Seeds of Global Government,? Volume 3, Issue 8)'.
- What all of this represents, from the first event in 2005
until Winnipeg, is the intentional move within Christendom to
politically unite with other faiths 'in one community.' The motivator:
Social Justice ' world peace, care for the Earth, and alleviating
poverty. And who doesn't want peace, a healthy environment, and
the poor raised above their poverty'
- These are admirable goals. But something else is going on,
raising the question: What does the Christian community have
to sacrifice in the name of interfaith partnering for 'social
justice''

From his own comments, Patel apparently is a member of ISNA.
Upon the August 2007 election of the group's president, Ingrid
Mattson, Patel told USA Today, "I'm proud to have her elected

- QUANTUM SPIRITUALITY HAS ENTERED THE CHURCH THROUGH CHRISTIAN
LEADERS
by Warren Smith - Leonard Sweet is definitely one of the point
men for today?s emerging/postmodern/Purpose Driven Church. As
Rick Warren has aligned himself with Sweet, it is important to
remember that Sweet has described former and present New Age
figures as his ?heroes? and ?role models.? He has openly acknowledged
that his quantum ?new cell theory? understanding of ?new light
leadership? was formulated with the help of veteran New Age leader
David Spangler. Additionally, Sweet describes mystical New Age
priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin as ?Twentieth-century Christianity?s
major voice.?1 And while Sweet?s almost ?in your face? New Age
sympathies are there for all to see, Rick Warren, and other Christian
figures continue to hold him in high esteem. But it is just business
as usual as Warren?s apologist tells us that ?Doctrinally/theologically,
Leonard Sweet is about as Christian as anyone can get.?2
- In his 2009 book So Beautiful, Leonard Sweet underscores
his quantum ?relational worldview?3 by favorably quoting from
William Young?s The Shack regarding relationship.4 He also tells
readers to look to Margaret Wheatley?s Leadership and the New
Science to further understand his quantum view on the ?spiritual
and social significance of relationship.?5 And he still continues
to refer readers back to his 1991 book, Quantum Spirituality.6
- While appearing to be somewhat of a 21st century renaissance
man who leaves everyone in the wake of his postmodern intellect,
Leonard Sweet?s ?scientific? postmodern/quantum/New Age view
on things raises some critical questions?particularly in regard
to his association with Rick Warren. If Warren, Sweet, and other
Christian leaders continue to move the church towards the New
Spirituality, how will it ultimately play out? Will we see Warren,
Schuller, Sweet, McLaren, and other ?New Light? leaders signing
a mutual accord someday affirming that God is ?in? everything?
Will that proclamation be based on new ?scientific findings?
from quantum physics? Will they explain that Pierre Teilhard
de Chardin and the ?God? of Neale Donald Walsch and William Young
had it right?that ?the sub-atomic reality? is that God is in
every atom? That God really is?scientifically speaking??in? everyone
and everything?
- But what about the inevitable reaction that will come from
those referred to by Rick Warren as ?fundamentalists?7 when they
accuse Warren of flip-flopping? Will Warren defend his new worldview
by repeating what he said at the Saddleback Civil Forum?that
?sometimes flip-flopping is smart because you actually have decided
a better position based on knowledge that you didn?t have?? Armed
with seemingly scientific ?facts? from quantum physics, will
Warren defend his new worldview by stating, ?That?s not flip-flopping.
Sometimes that?s growing in wisdom?? Is this where Warren, Sweet,
and other Christian leaders will try to take the church? Are
they about to take a big ?quantum leap? into the New Spirituality
of a New Age that is based on the findings of the ?new science??
Given the continued New Age implications of the emerging Purpose
Driven movement, it would seem that this is a real possibility.

- PAPACY SET TO RECAPTURE ENGLAND
- Pope Benedict XVI will be visiting the U.K. September 16-19th.
Government and church leaders are already welcoming the upcoming
event. Significantly, the visit comes less than a year after
December 1, 2009, when the Treaty of Lisbon went into effect
in the European Union. One of the major features of the Treaty
is that it “introduces a single, legal personality for the
Union.” Consequently, the U.K. has to a large extent been

- UFOs BUZZ VATICAN
- UFOs have been spotted hovering above Vatican City once again.
And this time the reports are coming from not only drivers and
tourists, but the guards to the Vatican themselves. The recent
streak of UFOs appearing over the Vatican has been like nothing
ever seen before in Rome. And not only were these objects seen,
they were also recorded on film by numerous different sources.
- Since Vatican City is its own nation, it has its own defending
army including several dedicated artillery operators who are
trained in observing what an object in the sky is doing, shaped
like, and the nature of its presence. Artillery troops on the
ground were able to observe not only one, but a formation of
three objects moving at the same time. At first it was suggested
these may be the corners of a triangular craft as there were
three lights, but the objects weren't equidistant from one another.
And though they did move in formation, sometimes very uniformed
in fashion, they did not maintain their distances consistently
throughout their being sighted. The incident lasted for several
minutes starting some time after 4:00 in the morning. Some of
the best footage to come from the incident so far is from three
men who observed the object and were members of Santa Barbara's
antiaircraft group. Though the footage was taken on a cell phone,
it is a bit better than most cell phone ufo footage. Of course
this isn't saying much considering you cannot distinguish much
more than the fact that the objects are luminescent and roughly
following one another in formation. Aside from this it's difficult
to get any more details from the guards' video.

FOR THE HOMELESS

began in third grade, when Katie Stagliano's 40-pound cabbage
fed 275 homeless people. Now, Katie's six gardens have produced
over 4,000 pounds of vegetables to feed the needy.
When Katie Stagliano was in third grade, she planted a cabbage
in her family's small garden. When it grew to an astounding 40
pounds, she donated it to a soup kitchen, where it was made into
meals for 275 people (with the help of ham and rice). "I
thought, 'Wow, with that one cabbage I helped feed that many
people?'" says Katie, now entering sixth grade. "I
could do much more than that."
So Katie started planting vegetable gardens as part of her nonprofit
Katie's Krops - she has six right now - including one the length
of a football field at her school in her hometown of Summerville,
S.C. Classmates, her family and other people in the community
help plant and water, and Bonnie Plants donates seedlings. This
past year, Katie took her commitment to a new level: she has
given soup kitchens over 2,000 pounds of lettuce, tomatoes and
other vegetables. Katie and her helpers are now harvesting the
spring planting, and another 1,200 pounds will be donated by
October.
"She just walks in like a proud little girl with her treasures
in her arm," says Sue Hanshaw, CEO of Tricounty Family Ministries,
the soup kitchen in Charleston, S.C. where Katie first brought
her 40-pound crucifer. "I love what she exudes, caring for
others. It's made a big impact on a lot of people."
Says Elois Mackey, 49, a formerly homeless mother of two who
has received a weekly vegetable delivery from Katie since September:
"She is showing that you can help other people no matter

A prime example of the uselessness of the term "terrorism."
First, it is a method, and not an ideology, and thus lends itself
to broad applications without describing the reason for the supposed
"terrorism." And allegations of terrorism are quite
easy to come by -- one will recall the charges of "religious
terrorism" and "moral rape" leveled against Christians
accused of proselytizing in Morocco.
- Accusations of terrorism in contexts like this are ultimately
instruments of moral equivalence, with the aim of painting non-Muslim
parties as the aggressors using an emotionally charged term with
a conveniently elastic application. Never mind Iran's own track
record in the region, of course.

Ground Zero, wrote the afterword to Patel's 2006 book, "Building

- Patel is listed as one of 15 "Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow"
on the website for the American Society for the Advancement of
Muslims, or ASAM, which is led by Rauf.

a person who is smug and self-confident. If you want to speak
for Him, prepare to die! I did it again. This past Sunday I stood
in a pulpit, looked out over a congregation of mostly strangers,
cleared the lump in my throat and preached a message that the
Lord had laid on my heart from the Bible. Thousands of men and
women speak publicly like this every week. It's what preachers
do. No big deal.
- But even though I speak often, I've found that preaching
the gospel is one of the most difficult, frightening and painful
assignments anyone could possibly attempt. It is not fun. I feel
as though I die a thousand deaths right before I do it, and I
die several more times after I go home and evaluate what happened.
- After one particularly discouraging experience in which an
audience stared coldly at me with their arms folded, I determined
that preaching surely must not be my calling. I shared my struggle
with an older pastor.

University in Jerusalem, doing research for my PhD thesis. I
came across a book whose contents were so dangerous, that they
keep it under lock and key to protect it. To see it, a person
provided the driver's license to the librarian, who returned
the license when she verified the book was safe after reading.
The translation was from an original circa 650AD. In that book
was an ancient witness of Islam's creator and how he started
Islam. It seems that the Vatican wanted to convert the population
of Jerusalem,which would put the holy sites under total rule
of the Vatican. It sent a priest to attempt the conversions,
and he showed some measure of success. When he returned to the
Vatican to claim his promised prize of territory and Cardinalship,
the Vatican reneged on its promise. This so angered this priest,
that he penned this testimony and the fact of his training Mahomet,
as leader of his converts. This was the seed that became Islam,
and Mahomet's name somehow morphed into Mohammed.
This is all I can remember of this subject, since it was not
my PhD field of expertise. There are several books in the Hebrew
University system that can verify this testimony.
