The Day of the Lord is Great and very
Terrible!
- "And the LORD
shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great:
for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the
LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
- "Therefore also
now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend
your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD
your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger,
and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing
behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the
LORD your God?
- "Blow the trumpet
in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather
the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather
the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom
go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
- "Let the priests,
the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar,
and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not
thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over
them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their
God? Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity
his people." Joel 2:11-18 (kjv)

- : We believe every word in the KJV Bible and believe it is
the Word of God and that Jesus is the Christ, God Himself, who
spilled His blood on the cross for our sins and rose again to
prepare a place for those who repent and accept 'His' righteousness
as their righteousness and repent. They are those who accept
Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, Jews first and then Gentiles.
"Behold, I stand at the door,
and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will
come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

- MORE GREETINGS to all and the newcomers to this list. We'd
like to introduce ourselves. George and Rita Williams founded
this ministry. We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years.
We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:
out of the cult of Mormonism. We did not know at the time we
were in a cult. No-one had witnessed to us in 20 years.
- The Holy Spirit brought us to information about all the cults
and the present development of the New World Order. We began
bringing our research to you. Because all the research was already
done, we decided to build a library within Cephas Ministry. Our
newsletters are not designed to provoke
anger which is strictly prohibited in Scripture. It is to shed
light on activities by those who would deceive those who are
recorded in the Book of Life by devious methods and systematic
plans.
- We are Bible students and have left all worldly organizations.
We attend church if the message is from the authorized Bible.
The focus of these newsletters is to prove why we had to leave
the world system. We are called 'Watchmen on the Wall' which
God always had during the Old / New Testament Times.
- To understand what is happening, one has to know the Bible
to compare notes.
- The first section is about the church.
The news about churches is unedited unless indicated by Ednotes.
The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
which doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word of God has
undergone many changes to fit the present mode. The Bible calls
for a falling away from the truth before Jesus
comes back for His Bride, the true believers are called 'Ekklesia.'
Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the Bible is true
from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, so called democratizing what is left. One third of the
world still remains to be taken over. It again proves that we
are moving to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied
in the Bible. The end result will not be Democracy but a form
of Fascist Communism.
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings with what is happening in Israel. We describe and watch
for signs of the coming Tribulation to confirm that we are moving
into that space of time.
- Watchmen on the wall do not solicit memberships. We have
an email group that gets information when we upload new information
and newsletters whenever it is possible time wise. We love the
Lord with all our hearts and minds and we love all people God
has created but especially those who love our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. Our Statement of Faith is at http://www.cephasministry.com/statement_of_faith.html

- ROMANIZING AMERICA THROUGH ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
- Pastor Ralph Ovadal is pastor of Pilgrims Covenant Church,
Wisconsin, USA - Pastor Ralph Ovadal
[Originally posted on April 6th, 2006 A.D.] -In recent weeks,
the advocates of the "rights" of illegal Mexican immigrants,
accompanied by and even led by Roman Catholic priests, have staged
rallies, protests, and parades all across the United States of
America. On 25th March, 500,000 people took to the streets of
Los Angeles, flying Mexican flags and chanting slogans such as
"Viva Mexico!" Another 500,000 marched in Dallas on
April 9, waving Mexican flags with "Our Lady of Guadalupe"
emblazoned in the center. On May 1, a favorite Communist holiday,
illegals staged a nationwide work stoppage and boycott of businesses
and schools. The alien lobby also once more staged marches and
rallies nationwide. As reported by NBC News, some of those activities
were launched from local Roman Catholic parish churches. This
outburst of protest is a response to several immigration and
border reform measures working their way through the U.S. Congress.
According to current estimates, there are as many as twenty million
illegal aliens in the United States of America.
- ROME AIDING AND ABETTING
- It is unfortunate that very few Americans have been concerned
with the religious aspect of this issue. The Roman Catholic Church
is aiding and abetting the criminal invasion of America from
Mexico, working both legally and criminally to bring as many
illegal Mexican immigrants into my country as possible. In this,
Rome has one goal in mind - the pope and his henchmen are seeking
to turn America, founded and still a Protestant country, into
a Roman Catholic country. To that end, the Justice for Immigrants
campaign was founded by the United States Conference of Catholic
Bishops. Twenty other Catholic organizations have joined together
with the bishops in a massive educational, media, and political
campaign to block legislation to deal with the alien invasion
of America. On its website, the Justice for Immigrants campaign
lists the bishops' "criteria for the reform of the U.S.
immigration system, including . . . abandonment of the border
'blockade' enforcement strategy." Plainly speaking, the
goal is to eliminate America's security along our border with
Mexico! The U.S. bishops together with their Mexican counterparts,
of course with papal consent and encouragement, have determined
to use Catholic treasure, influence, and manpower to erase America's
border! This is not surprising to the discerning Christian. Sovereign
nations have always been a hindrance to the pope's effective
exercise of his office as "father of kings, governor of
the world and Vicar of Christ." Continued: http://www.cephas-library.com/catholic_romanizing_america_through_illegal_immigration.html

- AFTER FALWELL, EVANGELICALS AT
CROSSROADS
Movement in state of transition; faces schism between old, new
generation. Rev. Frank S. Page,
left, stands with President George Bush and Page's wife Dayle
in October 2006. Page was elected president of the Southern Baptist
Convention, the nation's largest evangelical denomination.
Washington Post Alan Cooperman If the Rev. Jerry Falwell personified
the Christian right in the past, then the Rev. Frank S. Page
may represent its future.
- From his Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Va., where
his funeral will be held Tuesday, Falwell gave evangelicals a
strong political voice. But it was often the voice of a sure
and angry prophet, as when he blamed the attacks of Sept. 11,
2001, in part on "the pagans, and the abortionists, and
the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians," or described
warnings about global warming as "Satan's attempt"
to turn the church's attention from evangelism to environmentalism.
Page, 54, was chosen last year as president of the 16 million-member
Southern Baptist Convention, Falwell's denomination and the country's
largest evangelical one, in an election that he saw as a mandate
for change.
- "I would not use the word 'moderate,' because in our
milieu that often means liberal. But it's a shift toward a more
centrist, kinder, less harsh style of leadership," Page
said. "In the past, Baptists were very well known for what
we're against. . . . Instead of the caricature of an angry, narrow-minded,
Bible-beating preacher, we wanted someone who could speak to
normal people." With members of an older generation of evangelical
leaders, including the Rev. Billy Graham, the Rev. Pat Robertson,
psychologist James C. Dobson and the Rev. D. James Kennedy, ailing
or nearing retirement, Page is one of many pastors and political
activists tugging conservative Christians in various directions.
- Others include the Rev. Rick Warren and the Rev. William
Hybels, megachurch pastors who are championing the fight against
AIDS in Africa. David Barton, head of a Texas-based group called
WallBuilders, stumps the nation decrying the "myth"
that the Constitution requires separation of church and state.
The Rev. Joel Hunter of Orlando urges evangelicals to see climate
change as a serious religious issue, because "our first
order in the Garden was to take care of the Earth."
- Movement has no leader, but isn't weak [Ednote: I guess
Jesus is not their leader?]
Although Falwell's personal influence had been waning for years,
his death at age 73 last week threw into stark relief the current
headless state of the political movement he founded with the
establishment of the Moral Majority in 1978.
- Headless does not mean weak. In the view of many social conservatives,
their organizational structures -- from megachurches to Christian
colleges, broadcasting networks and public interest law firms
-- have never been stronger.
- "It would be a mistake to draw the conclusion that because
there is not one obvious or a few obvious leaders of this movement,
that the movement is waning," said Mark DeMoss, president
of an Atlanta-based public relations firm that works primarily
for evangelical organizations. But John C. Green, a senior fellow
at the nonpartisan Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, said
four factors combine to make this a time of flux on the religious
right.
- There is no single leader who stands astride the movement
as Falwell once did. Nor has a 2008 presidential contender emerged
to galvanize the ranks. A generation gap is emerging between
younger and older evangelicals on subjects such as homosexuality.
And a sometimes bitter debate is pitting evangelicals who want
to keep their political activity tightly focused on a few issues,
such as abortion and same-sex marriage, against those who want
to embrace a broader agenda, including climate change and global
poverty.
- All these shifts present opportunities for younger leaders.
But they also pose the possibility that the movement will become
more fragmented. "The evangelical movement as a political
force is in a serious state of transition," Page said. "With
the passing of Jerry Falwell, evangelicals are struggling to
try to find the kind of cohesion he represented. That was going
on even before he died."
- 'We're in an anti-hero age' [Ednote: you can say that
again]
When Falwell dissolved the Moral Majority in 1989, the leadership
torch was picked up by Robertson at the Christian Coalition.
After that group ran into financial and management problems in
the late 1990s, leadership passed to Dobson's radio ministry,
Focus on the Family. "Falwell's death highlights the inevitable
change in the leadership of conservative Christians," Green
said. "The big question is whether there will be one prominent
leader for this movement, as there was most of the time in the
past, or whether there will be many leaders, making the movement
more diffuse and perhaps less influential."
- DeMoss said he thinks "there will never be such a single,
dominant leader of the movement again."
- Page agrees. "We're in an anti-hero age. People shoot
at anybody who comes to a certain level of prominence,"
he said. "We're in a time of real doubt and disturbing
lack of loyalty to causes. We see people having a hard
time pulling together." page removed

- AFTER-THOUGHTS OF JERRY FALWELL
- Excerpt: "... Jerry was widely criticized in the Christian
community for lending legitimacy to Moon's organization. Moon
had always claimed that he was Jesus Christ's successor and moral
superior. It was inconceivable that a "fundamentalist Christian"
like Falwell would regard Moon as anything other than a blasphemer.
But, as always, whenever confronted with a choice between money,
connections, or the appearance of propriety, propriety came last.
Though Jerry Falwell claimed to be a fundamental Baptist, he
acted like a New Evangelical. He was a groundbreaking ecumenist
who helped pave the way for the creation of the end times one-world
harlot church. He worked with Roman Catholics, Charismatics,
and others who are opposed to the doctrine that he professed..
One of Falwells first steps toward compromise was in the
late 1970s when he decided that he needed to influence politics,
and toward that end he formed the Moral Majority. By 1986, Moral
Majority had 500,000 active contributors and a mailing list of
six million people. In Christianity Today, Feb. 21, 1986, Falwell
stated that Catholics made up the largest constituency (30%)
in the Moral Majority. [Ednote: many Mormons were there as well.]

- A RADIO PERSONALITY SAID WE ARE GOING BACK INTO THE DARK
AGES. THIS IS WHAT FOLLOWED: POPE CONSIDERS RETURN TO LATIN MASS
AP, Washington Post, USA May 26, 2007 - Nicole Winfield - www.washingtonpost.com
- VATICAN CITY It was one of the most radical reforms
to emerge from the Second Vatican Council. The Mass, root of
Roman Catholic worship, would be celebrated in the local language
and not in Latin. Now, little more than a generation later, Pope
Benedict XVI is poised to revive the 16th-century Tridentine
Mass. In doing so, he will be overriding objections from some
cardinals, bishops and Jews whose complaints range from the text
of the old Mass to the symbolic sweeping aside of the councils
work from 1962-65. Many in the church regard Vatican II as a
moment of badly needed reform and a new beginning, a view at
odds with Benedict, who sees it as a renewal of church tradition.
- A Vatican official, Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos, confirmed
earlier this month that Benedict would soon relax the restrictions
on celebrating the Tridentine Mass because of a new and
renewed interest in the celebration, especially among younger
Catholics. In recent decades, priests could only celebrate the
Tridentine Mass with permission from their bishop. Church leaders
are anxiously awaiting Benedicts decision, to see how far
he will go in easing that rule. Castrillon Hoyos denied the move
represented a step backward, a regression to times before
the reforms. Rather, it was an attempt to give the faithful
greater access to a treasure of the church.
- Benedict also was acting, Castrillon Hoyos told bishops in
Brazil, to reach out to an ultratraditionalist and schismatic
group, the Society of St. Pius X, and bring it back into the
Vaticans fold. The late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre founded
the society in 1969 in Switzerland, opposed to Vatican IIs
reforms, particularly its liturgical reforms. The Vatican excommunicated
Lefebvre in 1988 after he consecrated four bishops without Romes
consent. The bishops were excommunicated as well. Benedict has
been keen to reconcile with the group, which has demanded freer
use of the old Mass as a precondition for normalizing relations.
But bishops in neighboring France, where Lefebvres group
is strong, have objected publicly to any liberalizing of the
old rite, saying its broader use could lead to divisions within
the church, and could imply a rejection of other Vatican II teachings.
Such a decision risks endangering the unity among priests
as well as the faithful, according to a statement issued
late last year from the bishops of Strasbourg, Metz and Besancon.

- POPE REVIVES LATIN MASS
May 31, 2007 - Pope
Benedict arrives for mass in northern Italy. (Alberto Pizzoli/AFP/Getty
Images - Under the guiding hand of Pope Benedict xvi, the traditional
Tridentine Mass is making a comeback in spite of internal and
external opposition, reports USA Today. The Second Vatican Council,
conducted from 1962 to 1965, restricted the use of the Latin,
ultra-conservative Tridentine Missal, or prayer book, for use
during mass. The reason for the change, which was made during
a time of emerging liberalism, was clear: Many felt that changing
times called for a more flexible, inclusive mass. Where the Tridentine
Mass was conservative, inflexible and peppered with derogatory
implications toward Jews and non-Catholics, the new mass would
facilitate greater participation among laymembers, be more compact
and be written in a variety of languages. ?Many in the church
regard Vatican II as a moment of badly needed reform and a new
beginning,? wrote Nicole Winfield.
- Though the decision to restrict the Tridentine Mass was welcomed
by most, it was scorned by hard-core Catholics. A younger Joseph
Ratzinger was among the disgruntled conservatives. At the time,
Ratzinger, now Benedict xvi, criticized the changes ushered in
by Vatican ii: "I was stunned by the ban on the ancient
missal," he wrote in his memoirs (Sunday Times, March 11).
- Now that Ratzinger is the most powerful man in the Roman
Catholic Church, he is in a position to reverse the
- Vatican II decision. His intentions are not just to resurrect
the Tridentine, but also to set it above the current mass. The
Tridentine Mass will be an "extraordinary universal rite,"
and the current mass will become an "ordinary universal
rite" (ibid.). Beyond simply reconnecting the church with
its medievel past, there are other reasons moving Benedict to
make the change. Many young Catholics, for example, are expressing
interest in the Latin and Greek mass rather than one in the vernacular;
for them the old is actually new. For many born after Vatican
II, the Tridentine Mass strikes them as purer religion. "There's
another level there that I don't find at other masses,"
one young attendee said (Baltimore Sun, February 25). Another
reason for the change is that ultra-conservative groups that
have held fast to the Tridentine Mass will fall back into the
fold of Catholicism easily. Benedict's mission to restore the
old mass is no easy task. He is confronting a great amount of
external and internal opposition. Outside the church, Jews and
non-Catholics are concerned about the Tridentine's prayers for
those deemed "unfaithful" of different religious beliefs.
- Inside the church, opposition from liberal Catholics is causing
Benedict to seriously consider "publication of a papal 'motu
propio' (literally, "on his own initiative"), which
does not require the approval of church bodies. This would enable
Benedict to ignore opposition from several cardinals,? reported
the Sunday Times.
- Certainly, Benedict's resurrection of the Tridentine Mass
is not intended to be popular or draw droves of followers. The
move will likely alienate many more than it will please. It is
another sign of how Pope Benedict xvi is leading the Roman Catholic
Church back to its conservative roots" a trend we must continue
to watch. History shows that there is no more formidable force
than a medieval papacy. http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2007-05-27-latinmass_N.htm

- VATICAN ISSUES 10 COMMANDMENTS FOR DRIVERS
- VATICAN CITY (AP) 06-20-2007
- Got road rage? The Vatican on Tuesday issued "Ten Commandments"
for drivers, telling motorists to be charitable to others on
the highway, to refrain from drinking and driving, and to pray
you make it before you even buckle up. An unusual document from
the Vatican's office for migrants and itinerant people also warned
that automobiles can be "an occasion of sin"
particularly when used to make a dangerous overtaking maneuver
or when used by prostitutes and their clients. VIDEO:
Highway
to heaven from the Vatican?
- It warned about the effects of road rage, saying driving
can bring out "primitive" behavior in motorists, including
"impoliteness, rude gestures, cursing, blasphemy, loss of
sense of responsibility or deliberate infringement of the highway
code." Cardinal Renato Martino, who heads the office, told
a news conference that the Vatican felt it necessary to address
the pastoral needs of motorists because driving had become such
a big part of contemporary life.
- He cited World Health Organization statistics that said an
estimated 1.2 million people are killed in road crashes each
year and as many as 50 million are injured. "That's a sad
reality, and at the same time, a great challenge for society
and the church," he said. He noted that the Bible was full
of people on the move, including Mary and Joseph, the parents
of Jesus and that his office is tasked with dealing with
all "itinerant" people on the roads from refugees
to prostitutes, truck drivers to the homeless. The document,
"Guidelines for the Pastoral Care of the Road," extols
the benefits of driving - family outings, getting the sick to
the hospital, allowing people to get to work and see other cultures.
- But it laments a host of ills associated with automobiles:
Drivers use their cars to show off; driving "provides an
easy opportunity to dominate others" by speeding; and drivers
can kill themselves and others if they don't get their cars regular
tuneups, if they drink, use drugs or fall asleep at the wheel.
It also pointed the finger at traffic problems particular to
Italy, including the "minicars" that teens can drive
without full drivers' licenses and "the reckless use of
motorbikes and motorcycles." It called for drivers to obey
speed limits and to exercise a host of Christian virtues: charity
to fellow drivers, prudence on the roads, hope of arriving safely
and justice in the event of crashes.
- And it suggested prayer might come in handy - performing
the sign of the cross before starting off and saying the Rosary
along the way. The Rosary was particularly well-suited to recitation
by all in the car since its "rhythm and gentle repetition
does not distract the driver's attention."
- Martino's initiative was sure to make headlines in Italy,
where car culture is deeply entrenched - this is the home of
Ferrari and Fiat - and where weekend highway deaths make the
evening news on a regular basis.
- The Rev. Keith Pecklers, a Jesuit professor of liturgy at
the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, said Martino was
clearly responding to an underreported social concern: an increase
in traffic deaths in places like Italy and Spain because of speeding,
as well as an increase in road rage, aggressive driving and DUI
in places like the United States.
- "It may be surprising for people because we're accustomed
to the church speaking out about sexual matters, capital punishment,
immigration," he said. "The point Cardinal Martino
is making is that driving is itself a moral issue. How we drive
impacts on the lives of ourselves and others." Pecklers
dismissed any suggestion that Martino's "10 Commandments"
were at all sacrilegious, saying it was rather "creative
pedagogy" that would certainly get people's attention. He
stressed that they could never be considered binding in the way
the official 10 Commandments are.
- The Rev. Thomas Williams, a Rome-based theologian, concurred.
"It might be a little flippant but it's not sacrilegious,"
Williams said. But for some, the document was at least reason
to poke fun at the Vatican. "Overtaking is a sin? Well,
then I'm a murderer, I'll turn myself in immediately," quipped
movie director Dino Risi, whose classic film "The Easy Life"
- "Il Sorpasso," or "The Overtaking" - ends
with a car crash. "I think the Vatican has lost its marbles,"
he added, according to the ANSA news agency. There was no indication
Pope Benedict XVI had approved of, or even read, the document.
It was signed by Martino and his secretary as is customary
for lower-level documents that are routinely put out by the offices
of the Vatican's vast bureaucracy. Continued:

- THIS IS HOW IT STARTS. DO YOU REALLY WANT ISLAMIC LAWS TO
PREVAIL SOON? THE FOLLOWING IS COMMON PROCEDURE IN FREEMASONRY:
- N.C. JUDGE SAYS WITNESS CAN TAKE OATH WITH QURAN, ANY RELIGIOUS
TEXT
- AP, via The Arizona Republic, USA - May 25, 2007 - Steve
Hartsoe - www.azcentral.com - RALEIGH, N.C. - Witnesses and jurors
being sworn in at state courthouses can take their oath using
any religious text, not just the Bible, a judge ruled Thursday.
Judge Paul Ridgeway said common law and state Supreme Court precedent
allow witnesses and jurors to use the text most sacred
and obligatory upon their conscience. The ruling came after
the American Civil Liberties Union argued that limiting that
text to the Bible was unconstitutional because it favored Christianity
over other religions. The issue surfaced when Muslims tried to
donate copies of the Quran to Guilford Countys two courthouses.
Two judges declined to accept the texts, saying that taking an
oath on the Quran was illegal under state law.
- State law allows witnesses preparing to testify in court
to take their oath by laying a hand over the Holy Scriptures,
by saying so help me God without the use of a religious
book or by an affirmation using no religious symbols.
- The ACLU sought a court order declaring the statute unconstitutional
or clarifying that it was broad enough to allow the use of multiple
religious texts. Though the judge stopped short of that, the
ACLU and others supporting the lawsuit still considered the ruling
a great victory. We welcome this ruling as
an expression of our nations constitutional commitment
to religious diversity and tolerance, said Arsalan Iftikhar,
legal director for Washington-based Council on American-Islamic
Relations. The ACLU said six other states have similar laws that
favor the Bible in courtrooms: Arkansas, Delaware, Kansas, New
Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
- A trial court judge initially dismissed the ACLUs suit
in December 2005. The judge ruled it was moot because there was
no actual controversy at the time. An appeals court panel allowed
the case to go forward in January, after the ACLU added Syidah
Mateen as a plaintiff. In its decision, the appeals court cited
Mateens claim that her request to place her hand on the
Quran as a witness in a domestic violence case was denied in
2003. During a hearing this month, state attorneys asked Ridgeway
to dismiss the case, calling the complaint political. The state

- SAUDIS ARREST CHRISTIAN FOR ENTERING MECCA
Jerusalem Post, Israel - May 24, 2007 - Michael Freund - www.jpost.com
- Saudi officials have arrested a man in Mecca for being a Christian,
saying that the city, which Muslims consider to be holy, is off-limits
to non-Muslims.
- Nirosh Kamanda, a Sri Lankan Christian, was detained by the
Saudi Expatriates Monitoring Committee last week after he started
to sell goods outside Meccas Great Mosque. After running
his fingerprints through a new security system, Saudi police
discovered that he was a Christian who had arrived in the country
six months earlier to take a job as a truck driver in the city
of Dammam. Kamanda had subsequently left his place of work and
moved to Mecca.
- The Grand Mosque and the holy city are forbidden to
non-Muslims, Col. Suhail Matrafi, head of the department
of Expatriates Affairs in Mecca, told the Saudi daily Arab News.
The new fingerprints system is very helpful and will help
us a lot to discover the identity of a lot of criminals,
he said. Similar restrictions apply to the Saudi city of Medina.
In a section entitled, Travelers Information,
the Web site of the Saudi Embassy in Washington states that,
Mecca and Medina hold special religious significance and
only persons of the Islamic faith are allowed entry.
- Highway signs at the entrance to Mecca also direct non-Muslims
away from the citys environs.

- THE RAPE OF EUROPE
By Paul Belien - The German author Henryk M. Broder recently
told the Dutch Newspaper "DeVolkskrant" that young
Europeans who love Freedom, better emigrate. Europe as we know
it will not exist twenty years from now. While sitting on a terrace
in Berlin , Broder pointed to the other customers and the passers-by
and said, "We are watching the world of yesterday."
Europe is turning Muslim.. As Broder is sixty years old he is
not going to emigrate. "I am too old," he said. However,
he urged young people to get out and "move to Australia
or New Zealand. That is The only option they have if they want
to avoid the plagues that will turn the old continent uninhabitable."
Many Germans and Dutch, apparently, did not wait for Broder's
advice. The number of emigrants leaving the Netherlands and Germany
has already surpassed the number of immigrants moving in. One
does not have To be prophetic to predict, like Henryk Broder,
that Europe is becoming Islamic. Just consider the demographics.
- The number of Muslims in Contemporary Europe is estimated to
be 50 million. - It is expected to double in twenty years. By
2025, one third of All European children will be born to Muslim
families. - Today Mohammed is already the most popular name for
newborn boys in Brussels , Amsterdam, Rotterdam , and other major
European cities. Broder is convinced that the Europeans are not
willing to oppose Islamization. "The dominant ethos,"
he told De Volkskrant, "is perfectly Voiced by the stupid
blonde woman author with whom I recently debated. She said that
it is sometimes better to let yourself be raped than to risk
serious injuries while resisting. She said it is sometimes better
to avoid fighting than run the risk of death."
- In a recent Op-Ed piece in the Brussels newspaper De Standaard
the Dutch(gay and self-declared "humanist") author
Oscar Van Den Boogaard refers to Broder's interview. Van den
Boogaard says that to him coping with the islamization of Europe
is like "a process of mourning." He is overwhelmed
by a "feeling of sadness." "I am not a Warrior,"
he says, "but who is? I have never learned to fight for
my freedom. I was only good at enjoying it." Consider that
in all of Europe no one under the age of 65 has picked up arms
in defense of their country. That task has been borne by the
United States since Hitler surrendered in 1945.
- As Tom Bethell wrote in this month's American Spectator:
"Just at The most basic level of demography the secular-humanist
option is not Working." But there is more to it than the
fact that non-religious people tend not to have as many children
as religious people, because many of them prefer to "enjoy"
freedom rather than renounce it for the sake of children. Secularists,
it seems to me, are also less keen on fighting. Since they do
not believe in an afterlife, this life is the only thing they
have to lose. Hence they will rather accept submission than fight.
Like the German feminist Broder referred to, they prefer to be
raped than to resist."If faith collapses, civilization goes
with it," says Bethell. That is the real cause of the closing
of civilization in Europe.Islamization is simply the consequence.
The very word Islam means "submission" and the secularists
have submitted already. Many Europeans have already become Muslims,
though they do not realize it or do not want to admit it. Continued: http://www.cephas-library.com/nwo_the_rape_of_europe.html

- BISHOP SAYS GAYS WELCOMED AT CHURCH
The Arizona Daily Star, USA - May 27, 2007 - Stephanie Innes
- www.azstarnet.com - Bishop Gerald F. Kicanas says he wants
homosexual worshippers to know they are welcome in his Roman
Catholic Diocese of Tucson.
- Kicanas writes in this months edition of The New Vision,
the dioceses newspaper: I am very sensitive to the
concerns I have heard from people of same-sex orientation that
they feel they have no place in our parishes or in the household
of faith. We need to consider how we as a diocese or how
I as bishop may be generating such misunderstanding. Kicanas,
who oversees 350,000 Catholics in nine counties and holds the
high-ranking executive position of secretary to the U.S. Conference
of Catholic Bishops, is asking parishioners to help the diocese
figure out how to better serve the gay and lesbian Catholic population.
He said part of his impetus for reaching out was criticism he
heard after he and Arizonas other two bishops publicly
supported a proposed ban on gay marriage last year.
- Among the ideas he has heard in early discussions is having
a parish where gay and lesbian Catholics could worship in an
accepting environment that would help them live faithfully
as Catholics.
- I will continue to explore ways that our diocese can
make clear to our Catholic people the consistent teaching of
the Church that the Good News of Jesus Christ is for all
people, Kicanas wrote, that each person is
created by God out of love and is therefore deserving to be treated
with respect and dignity, and that there are no gradations within
Gods family: All are his beloved daughters and sons.
So far he said hes heard about 10 comments, generally thanking
him for reflecting on the issue. More needs to be done,
Kicanas said in an interview Friday. Its a difficult
area. Obviously, programs are not as important as communication
with people. Critics said Kicanas ostracized gays and lesbians
earlier this year when he decided not to extend an invitation
to retired Detroit bishop Thomas J. Gumbleton to speak about
homosexuality as part of a program sponsored by the local lay
Catholic group Call to Action. Call to Action members sent Kicanas
a letter of protest signed by 129 people, including 14 nuns.
- All along, Kicanas maintained that the problem wasnt
Gumbleton or the subject matter of his talk. Gumbleton wasnt
welcomed by the local diocese because Call to Action promotes
messages that go against church teaching, he said. The group
holds forums exploring topics such as optional celibacy for priests
and allowing women into the priesthood. And Kicanas said it wasnt
so much the Gumbleton controversy that prompted his current article
about homosexuality in The New Vision, but rather ongoing feedback
from parishioners about the churchs position on homosexuals
and same-sex relationships. Continued: http://www.religionnewsblog.com/18368/bishop-says-gays-welcomed-at-church

- ANTI-HATE LAWS END FREE SPEECH - HATE BILL MOVES FORWARD
IN SENATE
By Rev. Ted Pike - Hoping to avoid detection from opponents in
the religious right, Senators Edward Kennedy and Gordon Smith
have quietly moved the federal hate crimes bill into the Senate.
The Senate will vote, perhaps as early as this Tuesday on whether
to include it as a "rider" on the huge federal defense
bill, HR 1585. Now designated SA 2067, the new Senate hate bill
is about half the length of the House version which passed the
House earlier this year. But it gives its primary supporters,
the Anti-Defamation League and the homosexual lobby, everything
they need to end free speech in America, establishing a mammoth
federal "thought crimes" bureaucracy as in Canada.
Lovers of free speech may have only one day, Monday. Sen. Kennedy's
hate crimes bill SA 2067 is to be included as a rider to the
arms bill S 1585.
- Hate laws have taken away free speech in Canada and many
European countries. Sen. Kennedy's hate crimes bill SA 2067 to
the arms bill S 1585. If you do vote for the hate bill, I and
my friends will do our best to defeat you in the next election!"
The hate bill needs 60 votes in order to be added to the arms
bill. If we can pressure only a half dozen to vote against it,
we can powerfully weaken the hate bills chance of passage. Yes,
if the hate bill is defeated as an amendment, Kennedy and Smith
may reintroduce it as "stand alone" legislation. Yet,
having already suffered one rejection it would be much more difficult
to pass. These conspirators want to move it through quickly,
as "stealth" legislation. They are doing so over the
weekend so that the religious right will not have time to fully
mobilize on Monday. Let's not let them get away with it! Rev.
Ted Pike is director of the National Prayer Network, a Christian
/ conservative watch dog organization. Let the Anti-Defamation
League of B'nai B'rith teach you how they have saddled 45
states with hate laws capable of persecuting Christians:

- HOMOSEXUALITY / LESBIANISM / BISEXUALITY / TRANSGENDERISM:
HEARING BEGINS FOR CANADIAN PASTOR WHO WROTE ANTI-GAY LETTER
The Globe and Mail, Canada - July 17, 2007 - Dawn Walton - www.theglobeandmail.com
CALGARY Darren Lund was shocked when he first read a letter
five years ago in an Alberta newspaper written by a local pastor
who urged people to take whatever steps are necessary to
reverse the wickedness of the homosexual machine.
Two weeks later, the former Red Deer high-school teacher and
now university professor was devastated to hear the news: A 17-year-old
local gay youth was followed home and asked, Youre
a faggot, right? before allegedly being beaten by another
young man.
- Nobody was ever charged in the case, but Prof. Lund, who
teaches education at the University of Calgary, was convinced
letters like the pastors could cause harm. He filed
a complaint against the pastor with the Alberta Human Rights
and Citizenship Commission, which yesterday began hearing evidence.
- I do stand on the principle that I think the letter
did expose people to hatred and I think the government, if its
serious about its human-rights legislation, needs to make
a ruling in this case and I think its very clear what they
need to do, Prof. Lund told reporters outside the hearing
room. Rev. Stephen Boissoin wrote the controversial letter, which
was published on June 17, 2002, in the Red Deer Advocate under
the headline, Homosexual Agenda Wicked.
- The letter reached out to youth struggling with their sexual
identity by suggesting enslavement to homosexuality can
be remedied. It also blamed the militant homosexual
agenda for corrupting youngsters and recruiting them to
the gay lifestyle.
- From kindergarten class on, our children, your grandchildren
are being strategically targeted, psychologically abused and
brainwashed by homosexual and pro-homosexual educators,
Mr. Boissoin wrote. Homosexual rights activists and those
that defend them, the letter continued, are just
as immoral as the pedophiles, drug dealers and pimps that plague
our communities. Mr. Boissoin would not speak to reporters
yesterday, but has previously said he stands by his letter as
his democratic right to free speech. He is scheduled to testify
today in what his lawyer, Gerald Chipeur, has called Albertas
most significant constitutional case involving human-rights
legislation. Continued: http://www.religionnewsblog.com/18752/stephen-boissoin

- METHODIST MINISTRY REAPPOINTED AFTER SEX CHANGE
AP, via the Dallas Morning News, USA - May 26, 2007 - www.dallasnews.com
- WASHINGTON A United Methodist minister who has changed
gender since being chosen to lead a congregation in Baltimore
will be reappointed there, church officials announced Thursday
at a regional convocation. The Rev. Drew Phoenix told the churchs
Baltimore - Washington conference that he had gone through spiritual
transformation in the past year, since changing his name
from Ann Gordon and receiving medical treatment to become a man.
The denomination bans sexually active gay clergy but does not
have any rules about transgender pastors. It is my intention
and hope that by sharing my story that we commit ourselves as
Christians and as United Methodists to become educated about
the complexity of gender, said Phoenix, the only known
transgender minister in the conference. Each of us is a
beloved child of God no exceptions. Phoenix, 48,
has led St. Johns United Methodist Church for nearly five
years. His term expires in July, and one of the purposes of the
regional meeting is to reassign ministers for periodic terms
with churches. Bishop John Schol said that the churchs
50-member congregation was fully supportive, and that no objections
were raised during a closed-door meeting of the clergy. St. Johns,
a church that describes itself as diverse and inclusive, has
more than tripled its membership since Phoenix arrived. Continued:

- KIDS' TUITION : ATHEIST GIVES $22 MILLION TO CATHOLIC FUND
- Robert W. Wilson, a philanthropist and retired hedge-fund
manager, said he is giving $22.5 million to the Archdiocese of
New York to fund a scholarship program for needy inner-city students
attending Roman Catholic schools. Wilson, 80, said in a phone
interview that although he is an atheist, he has no problem donating
money to a fund linked to Catholic schools. Lets
face it, without the Roman Catholic Church, there would be no
Western civilization, Wilson said. Shunning religious
organizations would be abhorrent. Keep in mind, Im helping
to pay tuition. The money isnt going directly to the schools.
Wilsons donation is the largest the archdiocese has ever
received. The money will be used to fund the Cardinals
Scholarship Program, which was started in 2005 to give disadvantaged
students attending the archdioceses inner-city schools
partial or full-tuition grants, Jacqueline LoFaro, the archdioceses
associate superintendent of schools, said in a phone interview.Continued:

- FORMER NATION OF ISLAM LEADER FARAKHAN SPEAKS AT CATHOLIC
CHURCH
By The Associated
Press - May. 28 2007 CHICAGO (AP) Former Nation of Islam
leader Louis Farrakhan told a predominantly black Catholic church
that people who believe in God need not be divided, delivering
a message of religious unity that has marked his recent addresses.
Speaking with a strong voice and gesturing firmly from the pulpit
as he addressed a crowd of about 1,100 at St. Sabina Catholic
Church, the black Muslim leader looked and sounded little
like a man recovering from illness. I feel very honored
to stand in this place, he said. I feel very honored
by the media being struck by my being in a Catholic church with
a white pastor. St. Sabina's Rev. Michael L. Pfleger told
his congregation that Farrakhan's presence at the church is only
strange to people who don't know Minister Louis Farrakhan.
He's spoken here many times and St. Sabina is a
home for Louis Farrakhan, said Pfleger, who called Farrakhan
a gift from God to a sick, sick world.
- Farrakhan, who ceded leadership of the Nation of Islam last
year to an executive board while recovering from complications
of prostate cancer, slowly has been making his way back into
the public eye. The 74-year-old made what he called his final
public address Feb. 25, when he delivered a two-hour speech to
tens of thousands in Detroit in observance of the Nation of Islam's
annual Saviour's Day. But he since has delivered several intimate
lectures to Muslims at the Mosque Maryam in Chicago, the organization's
headquarters. He also has given interviews to Arab TV Al-Jazeera,
ABC's Nightline and CNN. For his wide-ranging address Friday
titled The Presence of the Kingdom of God, Farrakhan
said he left his Quran at his seat and preached from his Christian
Bible. I hate the division ... between people who believe
in God, he said. I love the Bible, I love the
Quran and I don't know how I can come in a Christian church
with a Christian pastor and not speak from the book that Christians
believe in, because I believe in it as well. http://www.christianpost.com/article/20070528/27651_Former_Nation_of_Islam_Leader_Speaks_at_Chicago_Church.htm

- BILL KELLER: COMPLAINT FILED WITH IRS AFTER TAMPA TELEVANGELIST
COMPARES [MORMON] ROMNEY TO SATAN
- Washington Post, via the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, USA
- June 1, 2007 - Alan Cooperman - ww.sun-sentinel.com
- WASHINGTON - Florida evangelist Bill Keller says he was making
a spiritual - not political - statement when he warned the 2.4
million subscribers to his Internet prayer ministry that if
you vote for Mitt Romney, you are voting for Satan!' But
the Washington-based advocacy group Americans United for Separation
of Church and State says the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) should
revoke the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status of Bill Keller Ministries,
nonetheless.
- Keller, 49, who has a call-in show on a Tampa television
station and a Web site called Liveprayer.com, on May 11 sent
out a daily devotional' that called Romney an
unabashed and proud member of the Mormon cult founded by a murdering
polygamist pedophile named Joseph Smith nearly 200 years ago.
If the former Massachusetts governor wins the GOP
nomination and the presidency, Kellers message added, it
will ultimately lead millions of souls to the eternal flames
of hell.' In a letter to the IRS on Thursday, Americans
United called Kellers message a violation of the ban on
partisan politicking by tax-exempt religious groups. Keller,
in a telephone interview, laughed off the controversy. Let
them come after me for making a spiritual statement about Mitt
Romney. I would love that,' he said. Bring it on.'

- SEATTLE: "I AM BOTH MUSLIM AND CHRISTIAN"
By Janet I. Tu - Seattle Times religion reporter - June 17, 2007
- Shortly after noon on Fridays, the Rev. Ann Holmes Redding
ties on a black headscarf, preparing to pray with her Muslim
group on First Hill. On Sunday mornings, Redding puts on the
white collar of an Episcopal priest. She does both, she says,
because she's Christian and Muslim. Redding, who until recently
was director of faith formation at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral,
has been a priest for more than 20 years. Now she's ready to
tell people that, for the last 15 months, she's also been a Muslim
- drawn to the faith after an introduction to Islamic prayers
left her profoundly moved.
- Her announcement has provoked surprise and bewilderment in
many, raising an obvious question: How can someone be both a
Christian and a Muslim? But it has drawn other reactions too.
Friends generally say they support her, while religious scholars
are mixed: Some say that, depending on how one interprets the
tenets of the two faiths, it is, indeed, possible to be both.
Others consider the two faiths mutually exclusive. "There
are tenets of the faiths that are very, very different,"
said Kurt Fredrickson, director of the doctor of ministry program
at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif. "The
most basic would be: What do you do with Jesus?" Christianity
has historically regarded Jesus as the son of God and God incarnate,
both fully human and fully divine. Muslims, though they regard
Jesus as a great prophet, do not see him as divine and do not
consider him the son of God.
- "I don't think it's possible" to be both, Fredrickson
said, just like "you can't be a Republican and a Democrat."
- Redding, who will begin teaching the New Testament as a visiting
assistant professor at Seattle University this fall, has a different
analogy: "I am both Muslim and Christian, just like I'm
both an American of African descent and a woman. I'm 100 percent
both." Redding doesn't feel she has to resolve all the contradictions.
People within one religion can't even agree on all the details,
she said. "So why would I spend time to try to reconcile
all of Christian belief with all of Islam? "At the most
basic level, I understand the two religions to be compatible.
That's all I need."
- She says she felt an inexplicable call to become Muslim,
and to surrender to God - the meaning of the word "Islam."
- "It wasn't about intellect," she said. "All
I know is the calling of my heart to Islam was very much something
about my identity and who I am supposed to be. "I could
not not be a Muslim."
- Redding's situation is highly unusual. Officials at the national
Episcopal Church headquarters said they are not aware of any
other instance in which a priest has also been a believer in
another faith. They said it's up to the local bishop to decide
whether such a priest could continue in that role. Redding's
bishop, the Rt. Rev. Vincent Warner, says he accepts Redding
as an Episcopal priest and a Muslim, and that he finds the interfaith
possibilities exciting. Her announcement, first made through
a story in her diocese's newspaper, hasn't caused much controversy
yet, he said.

- SOME SECTS STILL PRACTICE POLYGAMY, WELCOME LAW CHANGE
The Citizen, Laconia, NH, USA - June 3, 2007 - Chloe Johnson
- www.citizen.com - Anne Wilde of Salt Lake City, Utah, married
a married man. With her consent, she said, her husband took other
wives after her. She was in a polygamous relationship for 33
years before her husband died, and will only say she was the
second of a few wives. Wilde co-founded Principle
Voices, an organization in support of fundamentalist Mormons
who practice polygamy. Im still very much an advocate
of it, she said. We would like to see equal civil
rights.
- She said polygamy is a commandment of God in the Mormon religion.
The vast majority of Mormons dont practice polygamy and
the church does not consider those who do to be members. The
church, also known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, stopped sanctioning polygamy more than 100 years ago.
- Wilde said she decided to practice a fundamentalist lifestyle
after studying and praying. I never regretted a minute
of it, she said. We were very happy. She did
not live with her husband, she said, but they spent a lot of
time together writing religious books. Im kind of
independent, anyway, she said. She said women have the
best of both worlds in polygamy, because they can have children
and a career. Another wife will often care for the children,
if one wife is out. I know its not for everybody
and I know its hard for some to understand, Wilde
said. But the times are changing, so it could become more
acceptable to people. She said all consenting adults should
have the same rights to marry. We dont want to legalize
it, she said. We want to decriminalize it.

- TWO SAN JOSE BROTHERS ACCUSED IN FAITH-HEALING SCAM
Mercury News, USA - May 29, 2007 - Mark Gomez - www.mercurynews.com
- Two brothers from San Jose who received thousands of dollars
by providing treatments as faith/mystic healers are
facing charges of grand theft, according to San Jose police Sgt.
Enrique Garcia. Police say that John Salazar, 23, who called
himself Master Alexander, and Carlos Salazar, 34,
told clients they were cursed and must be cleansed to avoid further
consequences, including death. Carlos Salazar was arrested in
April; John Salazar remains at-large. They would make you
believe you were possessed, detective Manuel Jurado said.
The Salazars advertised exclusively in Spanish-language newspapers
and radio and claimed that they could solve a host of relationship
and personal problems. Police believe the brothers treated hundreds
and hundreds of people over a number of years, guaranteeing
results.
- Thats where the problem is, Jurado said,
adding that the men committed theft by false pretenses. The brothers
operated their business at 1140 Pedro St. in San Jose, near Lincoln
Avenue, complete with a greeter and curtains that blinded the
windows. Wearing robes, the brothers would perform tricks - such
as turning water into a red substance they said was blood - that
made clients believe they were possessed, Jurado said. Jurado
said the brothers were entangling three religions: Wicca, Catholicism
and Santeria. Police began their investigation in August, after
receiving reports that a woman had paid John Salazar $10,000
to help her infant daughter. Police say the woman called the
phone number advertised and made contact with an organization
called Comunidad Esotorica. Continued:

- BBC, UK - June 1, 2007 - news.bbc.co.uk - With A-list celebrities
among its followers and a string of unsavoury allegations from
former members, the Church of Scientology is rarely far from
the headlines. But newly released government files from the National
Archives at Kew show controversy surrounding the church in the
UK is nothing new. In the 1960s and 1970s officials debated whether
or not to lift a ban on foreigners entering the UK to work or
study at the church. In the documents, high-ranking mandarins
refer to the church as evil with some describing
it repeatedly as a cult. Many of the documents discuss
a series of lawsuits filed by the church in the years after the
entry ban was introduced in 1968. Fake religion Set
up in the United States in 1954 the church, according to the
files, started to spread to the UK in the 1960s. It offers self-improvement
on the basis of the writings of the late science-fiction author
L Ron Hubbard, who spelled out principles that he called Scientology
and Dianetics. Continued: http://www.religionnewsblog.com/18389/scientology-evil-cult
