like to introduce ourselves. George and Rita Williams founded
this ministry. We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years.
We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:
out of the cult of Mormonism. We did not know at the time we
were in a cult. No-one had witnessed to us in 20 years.
- The Holy Spirit brought us to information about all the cults
and the present development of the New World Order. We began
bringing our research to you. Because all the research was already
done, we decided to build a library within Cephas Ministry. Our
newsletters are not designed to provoke
anger which is strictly prohibited in Scripture. It is to shed
light on activities by those who would deceive those who are
recorded in the Book of Life by devious methods and systematic
plans.

The focus of these newsletters is to prove why we had to leave
the world system. We are called 'Watchmen on the Wall' which
God always had during the Old / New Testament Times.

- The first section is about the church.
The news about churches is unedited unless indicated by Ednotes.
The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
and today's church doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word
of God has undergone many changes to fit the progressive modes.
Many new Bible tranlations have brought confusion. The Bible
calls for a falling away from the truth before
Jesus comes back for His Bride. The true believers are called
'Ekklesia.' Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the
Bible is true from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, the so called democratizing what is left of the world.
This is a deception since the underlying new world global government
is developed by implementing sustainable development. The
Bible prophesies that there will be ten kings (ten horns), each
king (horn) will receive a region of the world as a reward for
work well done for the Antichrist. This is the reason for the
present development of NAU (The North American Union) as well
as the war in the Middle East. It again proves that we are moving
to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible.
The end result will not be Democracy but a form of Fascist Communism
(Public/Private Corporations enslaving mankind).
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings because Israel is the time piece of the Biblical Prophecy.
1948 was the beginning of the figtree representing Israel, coming
back to life. Israel was allowed to return to its land. Israel
is the rock upon which the world stumbles and crumbles. We watch
and visit Israel for signs which point to the Tribulation to
confirm that we are moving into that space of time.

Lord with all our hearts and minds and we love all people God
has created but especially those who love our Lord and Savior,

- THE SHOFAR-BLOWER IS ARRIVING

- [Ednote: Many expect the Rapture to happen at Rosh HaShana
because God held true to the Old Testament with events that involved
Jesus on certain Feasts. I was told that believers would hear
a Shofar in their spirit, a sound that was used at weddings to
identify that the Rapture is at hand. Joshua 6:5 "And it
shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the
ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the
people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city
shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every
man straight before him." Psalms 47:5 "God is gone
up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet."
1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 "For the Lord himself shall descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and
with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise
first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught
up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."]
- "... Eyal's wife of about 20 years, Einat, told of Eyal's
passing. "Eliyahu (Elijah) the prophet, was Eyal's favorite
prophet. He read about him over and over. On Thursday, after
I read to him the verses describing how Elihayu left this world,
he said to me, "I'm not on the level of Eliyahu, but that's
the way I feel."
On Shabbat afternoon he told me, "we are not separated.
We will always be together, I'm just moving up one floor."
Later, after Shabbat, he tried to tell me something, but couldn't
talk. He motioned with his arm, and I realized he wanted someone
to study Torah with him, to pray with him. I called one of his
friends, and when he came over and started recited Torah and
prayers, Eyal's eyes opened and he radiated with joy. Later,
we were all there in the room. I called a righteous doctor, who
could discern the exact moment of the soul's departure from the
body. He sat opposite Eyal, staring at his eyes. Eyal's face
and eyes emanated rapture, seeing the angels awaiting him, above
him. He had said that he did not fear death, that he was totally
at peace with his situation, and so it was. Suddenly the doctor
yelled, "Shema Yisrael" and then all those present
did so, and you could actually see his neshama, his soul, leave
his body. We weren't crying, it was a moment of Divine exaltation."
Last Rosh HaShana eve, following services, I went over to Eyal's
house to wish him a happy New Year. His kids told me that he
wasn't home, that he'd gone to Ma'arat HaMachpela to pray. I
told them that if he wanted, there would be prayer services at
Beit Hadassah the next morning. But they said that he'd worship
again at Machpela.
The next morning, despite his illness and weakness, he was there.
But he didn't only pray. He also trumpeted the Shofar, the ram's
horn, blown every Rosh HaShana. The shofar isn't blown once.
Rather, one hundred times. The laws concerning this special mitzvah
are detailed and intricate. Many times, if the sound produced
is not exactly right, it must be repeated.
Eyal stood and blew the shofar, on the first day, one hundred
times. And he blew the Shofar again, on the second day of Rosh
HaShana, one hundred times. And he did not make one mistake,
on either day. Not one time did he have to repeat himself. And
the sound that he produced from that ram's horn, I've never heard
anything like it in my life. So it was, Eyal, sick with cancer,
less than a year ago.
Not yet forty-one, nine children, and one grandchild, born less
than a month ago.
I have no doubt whatsoever, that as Eyal's neshama, as his soul
left his body, in the heaven's above, hundreds and thousands
of ram's horns began trumpeting, with a voice heard, above them
all, "the Shofar-blower from Hebron, the Shofar-blower from
Ma'arat HaMachpela is arriving. The Shofar-blower is arriving.
Let us all go greet the shofar-blower from Hebron."
Next Rosh HaShana will not be the same.
Eyal will be sorely missed, for many many years to come.

- ASLEEP ON THE WATCH
by Steve Muse - Eastern Regional Watch Ministries - I have been
told that in this day and age the role of watchman as understood
in the Old Testament has been done away with, that it is not
necessary because we are not under the wrath of God but under
grace through Jesus Christ. If there are watchmen today, I am
told, they cannot be held to the same degree of accountability
that God required of Ezekiel. If there are watchmen today as
described in Ezekiel, who are these watchmen? And after examining
the following from Ezekiel 33, who would ever want to be put
in this position?
- The Watchman’s Duty: Ezekiel 33
- “And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Son
of man, speak to the sons of your people and say to them,
- ‘If I bring a sword upon a land, and the people of the
land take one man from among them and make him their watchman,
and he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows on the trumpet
and warns the people, then he who hears the sound of the trumpet
and does not take warning, and a sword comes and takes him away,
his blood will be on his own head. He heard the sound of the
trumpet but did not take warning; his blood will be on himself.
But had he taken warning, he would have delivered his life.
- “But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does
not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and a sword
comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity;
but his blood I will require from the watchman’s hand.’
- “Now as for you, son of man, I have appointed you a
watchman for the house of Israel; so you will hear a message
from My mouth and give them warning from Me. When I say to the
wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you
do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man
shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require from
your hand. But if you on your part warn a wicked man to turn
from his way and he does not turn from his way, he will die in
his iniquity, but you have delivered your life. ” Ezekiel
33:1-9
- If we look closely in chapter 20 in the book of Acts we see
that the Apostle Paul understood this mandate even as he warned
the overseers in Ephesus concerning his departure after being
with them for three years. Here is one example clearly stated:

democracies. He speaks to Lisa Miller about his latest diplomatic

As mass protests continued to rage in Egypt, Libya, and Yemen
last week, all was serene in New Haven, Connecticut, where a
dozen men (and a few women) sat around a table at Yale University,
talking about how to build new governments in the Middle East.
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair presided over the international
group. This was not the usual assemblage of diplomats and policymakers,

- “The single most urgent question facing policymakers
today is to understand the importance of religion in the modern
world,” Blair told me, after the meeting. Policymakers need
to learn that “when people say they’re religiously
motivated, they’re not actually politically motivated—they’re
religiously motivated,” he said, using the conflict in Northern
Ireland as an example. And because religion is such a motivating
and volatile force in the Middle East, government officials with
an interest in stability there have got “to put as much
emphasis on religious literacy as they do on gender literacy

- THE GOSPEL OF GREED - EXPOSE ON TV MINISTERS' LIFESTYLES
- INSIDE EDITION - by Lisa Guerrero - 5.28.2011 - They are
some of the most popular TV preachers in the country, packing
their mega churches each week and taking in millions every year.
They urge the faithful followers to donate generously and in
return the Lord will bring them prosperity.
- There's no denying some people have prospered handsomely—the
pastors themselves. They live like rock stars with huge mansions,
private jets, and fancy cars. Their lifestyles are so lavish,
six of them have been investigated by the U.S. Senate.
- One preacher, Paula White, lives in multimillion dollar homes
in New York City and Tampa, Florida. And another preacher, Creflo
Dollar, gets around in style, flying in private jets to preach
around the country. He owns a mansion in an exclusive Atlanta
suburb.
- Not one of them would sit down for an interview about their
opulent lifestyle so INSIDE EDITION's Lisa Guerrero caught up
with Creflo Dollar at an event in New York City. She asked him,
"How do you justify your million dollar mansions and private
jets to your donors?" Dollar had no comment.
- But when it comes to opulence, few religious leaders compare
to Kenneth Copeland. He lives in an 18,000 square foot home outside
Ft. Worth, Texas worth $6 million. It has beautiful water views
that comes complete with a boat house. But that's not all.
- Copeland is an avid pilot, and his pride and joy is a $20
million Cessna Citation jet. It's the fastest private jet money
can buy. He said he needed it to better serve the Lord, and proudly
did a fly by for his followers after the church bought it.
- But that's not the only plane used by the church. We found
a fleet of planes registered to the church. And you won't catch
him waiting in line at the airport, because he's got his own.
The Kenneth Copeland Airport is located right next to his mansion.
- "I think Copeland is unbelievably greedy", said
Ole Anthony of the Trinity Foundation, a church watchdog group
that worked with the Senate Committee investigating Copeland
and other TV preachers. .
- "Televangelism is a $2 to $3 billion industry, untaxed,
unregulated," said Anthony.
- That's right—by law, religious groups like Copeland's
are exempt from federal taxes, and they don't have to report
how they spend their money to anyone.
- Copeland and his church takes in tens of millions a year,
through donations and selling books and DVD's to his donors.
- When Kristi Parker's mother died of cancer, she said she
found diaries that showed her mother sent Copeland most of her
life's savings, hoping her faith and donations would heal her
deadly disease.
- "She sent them a lot of money, a whole lot of money",
said Parker.
- Guerrero asked Parker, "What do you think of Kenneth
Copeland's lifestyle?"
- "TV doesn't do it justice. Their office furniture is
probably worth more than most people's houses. It make you sick."
said Parker.
- Copeland, like the other preachers investigated by the Senate,
refused INSIDE EDITION's request for an interview, so we caught
up with him at an event in North Carolina.
- Guerrero asked, "Can you explain to us why you are living
such a lifestyle of luxury off of church donations?"
- An assistant to Copeland said, "We don't have any time
for this," and tried to usher Copeland away. At the same
time a hotel employee tried to block our camera.
- Guerrero continued to try to get answers from Copeland.
- "Why won't you answer any of our questions? It's a simple
questions, sir," said Guerrero.
- Copeland then agreed to chat and said, "I'm going to
give you a simple answer. My life follows scripture. We've never
asked anyone for money. We give. We believe we're open."
- Guerrero then asked, "Sir, you have a fleet of private
jets. Why is that necessary? How many jets do you have?"
- Copeland answered, "That's none of your business."
- Right after that he walked away.
- Copeland told INSIDE EDITION that he cooperated with the
Senate investigation, but the committee disagreed and said Copeland
refused to provide the information it requested for its investigation.
According to the committee, only two of the preachers did—Joyce
Meyer and Benny Hinn. The committee recommended that the IRS

- GENDERLESS BABY MYTH?

Back in the nineteenth century, the British people were introduced
to a fairy tale about “water babies” through a story
written by Rev. Charles Kingsley. The water babies entered folklore,
and generations of British children imagined the water babies
and their story.
Now, out of Canada comes another strange story, but this one
is not a fairy tale. Two Canadian parents have ignited a firestorm
over their determination to raise their third child as a “genderless”
baby.
- As reporter Jayme Poisson reports, “The neighbors know
[Kathy] Witterick and her husband, David Stocker, are raising
a genderless baby. But they don’t pretend to understand
it.” Well, the neighbors might take these parents at their
word, but the very idea of a genderless baby is nonsense. This
is not a baby with ambiguous genitalia, a defect that occurs
in a very small percentage of births. The parents admit that
this baby has a clear biological sex, but they do not want that
to become the child’s identity. They want the child to make
that determination at a later date.

is surprisingly open to Christianity, at least partially, because
it sees a link between the faith and economic success, said a
sought after scholar who has relations with governments in Asia.
- China believes that Christianity is responsible for much
of the historic success of Western Europe and the United States,
said Dr. William Jeynes, senior fellow of The Witherspoon Institute
in Princeton, N.J., during a presentation at the Family Research
Council on Tuesday.
- But while the Chinese government is open to Christianity,
it also “wants to control Christianity.” Those in authority
are very much aware of the Church’s role in bringing down
the Berlin Wall and advancing democracy in the Soviet bloc.
- “They view Christianity as a belief system that if not
controlled will potentially overthrow the government,” said
Jeynes during his lecture titled, “God, China & Capitalism:
Is Christianity in China the Key Ingredient for Economic Success?”
“But on the other [hand], they see that if you try to oppress
Christians that it could lead to this explosion as it did in

- Huh? What God of “green” hope? Why does The Message
do this?
- Before we examine what seems suggestive of earth reverence/earth
worship, let us restate some of what has been covered elsewhere
about The Message:
- A generation has been raised on this disturbing “paraphrase”
of the Bible. This is the primary version so many now rely on,
and nationally known preachers quote from it with regularity.
Yet, as we have seen, The Message flat out omits the sin of homosexuality
from several key passages. We see this in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11,
and also in 1 Timothy 1: 8-11 (READ).
- Does the acceptance and use of The Message explain why many
Christians are lukewarm on the issue of homosexuality? Certainly
The Message is not the only factor–we dwell in a pro-homosexual
media/culture–but place this “Bible” in a person’s
hands and it can have, over time, significant influence. How
can we understand God’s Truth when Truth is no longer there
to be read?

- Dr.Christian Harfouche: Recently my friend and I had attended
a sign’s wonders and miracles conference at an AoG church
here in Hawaii where Dr. Christian Harfouche was operating. The
advertisement read Joy healing, miracles, signs and wonders.
So we had a fairly good idea what to expect, but there is more
to some of these ministries than meets the eye.
- Christian Harfouche came from a Catholic family who moved
to Los Angeles, California when he was fourteen. He was brought
up in Beruit, Lebanon As a young man, he dropped out of high
school and comes from a background of drugs being a former 5th
degree black belt. He was saved in 1977 while he was high “
flipping through the television stations. He stopped at a Christian
program and felt the presence of the Lord. He suddenly felt the
love and forgiveness of the Lord.”… “and let him
know everything's going to be alright.” (KITV interview)
He states God called him to preach in 1979 as his eyes fell on
the scripture Luke 4:18. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon
me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel...”
Dr. Harfouche and his wife were ordained by Dr. Lester Sumrall

- His ministry headquarters is located on Executive Plaza Rd.
in Pensacola Florida. People at his meetings give testimonies
of the Pensacola outpouring (basically a repeat of Toronto with
a mixture of sometimes good preaching with extreme unholy manifestations
and bad doctrine). So he does endorse it, promotes it and practices
it from we have seen first hand.
- Harfouche wants to take people to the realm of the supernatural.
His ministry is about power for miracles. Harfouche claims that
on one occasion you could hear angels singing from their service
and it is recorded on the CD spirit songs (others have claimed
this as well in their services). The ads for their songs are
said to be full of revelation and the anointing, that people
are healed, set free, and forever changed by the power of God
as they listen to the songs.
- He teaches on the anointing and ones authority, he and his
wife state we have all authority which not found in the Bible
anywhere. Jesus does not give that equality to any sinful man.
There is no Scripture to validate this. He teaches the more you
magnify the anointer you magnify the anointed one. This too is
unscriptural. The anointer (who from what I gather he means the
Holy Spirit) magnifies and points to Jesus. We are not to focus
on the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit's ministry is to focus us
on Jesus. This is typical of today’s charismatic meetings
where they focus on the Spirit instead of the giver of the Spirit.
This always will bring someone into serious error.
- He parrots what so many other Charismatic's teach: if there
is a counterfeit there is a genuine. Once someone accepts this
idea they can accept a false experience as well. This is Nonsense;
there is no genuine for the Ouiji board, for channeling, for
automatic writing; for astral travel or angelic communications.
The Devil is ingenious enough to invent new spiritual practices
besides copying, after all he invented religions and false spirituality.
- Harfouche talks about the third move (which we now know as
the third wave coined by John Wimber and C.P. Wagner which Harfouche
is saturated in). In his topic of “The Word/Faith Movement
Arrives” he cites Kenneth E. Hagin who brought the “message
of the Word: “You can have what you say” (The Ministry
of the Prophet p.77). Harfouche puts our speaking on an equal
basis with what God speaks He believes as Kenneth Hagin taught
“creating your world through words. “ “The authority
God gave you to operate on planet Earth goes out with those words”
(The Hidden Power of your Words p.14). On the back cover of this
book it states “life used to be a playground to you, now
it’s a battlefield ----created by your own words.”
We can find Harfouche has been influenced by word faith teachers,
the new wave, latter rain and a host of other aberrations that

70 United Methodist clergy in the state have signed a statement
saying they will marry gay couples.
"We joyfully affirm that we will offer the grace of the
Church’s blessing to any prepared couple desiring Christian
marriage," reads the statement introduced this week at the
2011 Minnesota Annual Conference.
- "We are convinced by the witness of others and are compelled
by Spirit and conscience to act. We thank the many United Methodists
who have already called for full equality and inclusion of lesbian,
gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the life of the Church."
- The Rev. Bruce Robbins, pastor of Hennepin Avenue United
Methodist Church in Minneapolis, read the statement to clergy
Wednesday during a time of personal privilege, the United Methodist

hold parliamentary and presidential elections in September and
to appoint members of a constitutional assembly from among the
elected members of the next parliament to prepare Egypt's new
constitution.

in prison for sharing his faith with his neighbor. According
to International Christian Concern, Siagh Krimo was given the
sentence last week in Djamel District, Oran, Algeria.Prosecutors
quickly charged Krimo of proselytizing after his neighbor made
a complaint, and accused him of making defamatory statements
against the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

- Black Liberation Theology Brought To Media Attention Long
Ago, But Ignored As I recall, it was during the 1990s when I
wrote to Oprah Winfrey about the problems in the Black Baptist
Church in America and the NAACP and I asked her to investigate.
I never received a response from Winfrey's show which is produced
in Chicago, Illinois.
- I now recall how, in 1985, I was a Preacher at the First
Baptist Church of Guilford (FBCG), in Columbia, Maryland. The
Pastor at the time was Rev. John L. Wright (no relation to Jeremiah
Wright--but both are black Baptist ministers and promote the
same Black Liberation Theology) and he is still there today.
- At that time, Oprah Winfrey was a noted celebrity in Baltimore,
Maryland, at Channel 13, on a television show called, "People
Are Talking," with Richard Scherr. And she also lived in
Columbia, Maryland. In 1986, just before Oprah announced she
was leaving Maryland to go to Chicago, she was invited to speak
at an evening service at FBCG (Columbia, MD). I never saw anything
like it. When Oprah arrived, she was escorted down the center
aisle of our church. She had on dark sunglasses and the feathers
from her sweater were blowing around her face, as she strutted
down the aisle. She was escorted to the pulpit and delivered
a message (not a sermon) pretty much in the way she acted in
the movies with the "cullod" accent. I don't know how
I could have forgotten that, but it just came back to me during
a recent Greta Van Susteren interview (On the Record--FOX News)
of Allison Samuels, a Newsweek reporter. Samuels recently wrote
a feature for Newsweek which detailed why Winfrey left the Trinity
United Church of Christ. Of late, the Chicago church has dominated
news coverage because of its fiery leader, the Rev. Jeremiah
Wright and his relationship with Democratic presidential candidate,
Sen. Barack Obama.
- I guess my question is -- How could Oprah Winfrey have been
a member of Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright's Church, since 1984, when
she was living in Maryland and appearing daily on a local television
show? I'll be sure to be looking for a follow-up report on this
subject.
- Samuels stated she believes Oprah may have left the Trinity
United Church of Christ in Chicago in the 1990s because she did
not think her growing TV audience would appreciate Winfrey having
anything to do with the kind of preaching that was being done
by Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Also, Samuels told Van Susteren, after
Oprah left the Trinity United Church of Christ, Rev. Jeremiah
Wright began lambasting her from the pulpit, saying Oprah left
because she didn't want to give up any money. What he did is
called, "Preaching on people," and while the congregants
laugh, the one "preached on" knows who the Preacher
is talking about -- and the congregants know, too.
- Over twenty years is a long time to sit under that kind of
goings-on in the church and not come away without bringing it
with you. There's no way Obama could not have known what was
happening at his place of worship. Obama was too close to Wright
and the inner-workings of the church to have missed it. Obama
was in the Rev. Wright's inner circle of the trusted and the
"helped along." Perhaps Obama and Winfrey originally
came to the same church for the same reasons...political power
and connections. But Winfrey was just a tad smarter and left
Rev. Jeremiah Wright's flock before any further damage could

at such a rapid pace and pieces of the end time puzzle seem to
be falling into place at such an unprecidented rate it makes
ones head spin. Now Tony Blair is telling us globalization (read
World Government) and religion must come together. I read in
Revelation 13 the antichrist and the false prophet will bring
these two elements together. Blair is laying the foundation for
what is to come........
- Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair believes that religion
and globalization will be the most important social issues in
the 21st century. “With faith and with globalization there
is an opportunity and also a danger,” Blair told students
in Kyiv on June 7. “Globalization is pushing the world together
into a common space.”
- The event took place at Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and
was co-sponsored by the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation. Blair and
Pinchuk announced that they will be collaborating to bring two
new faith-themed programs in schools and universities in Ukraine.
Inside a cathedral-like auditorium, with its vaulted ceiling
and tall windows, Blair sounded like a preacher at the podium.
He spoke passionately about the role that religion will play
as the world grows smaller. He believes that fostering understanding

Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?" A bill working
its way through the California legislature would require that
all seniors afflicted with dementia and not living in an institutional
environment be implanted with identification microchips. In San
Diego County, this practice has been in place for some time and
has recently reunited families with doddering relatives lost
for months at a time. Dan DeSousa, with the county’s Department
of Senior Services, said, “Every confused and forgetful
old-timer, as soon as he or she is found wandering the streets
in pajamas at three in the morning, gets scanned for a microchip.
If every senior had a microchip, we’d be calling the responsible
caretaker right then and there.” “Whether or not the
use of the chip could save the county money on operational costs,
it can definitely cut time from the poor old guy's stay at the
police station,” DeSousa said. “Our goal is, if you
get a microchip that means we can get that loopy oldster home
to you right away.” More than 26,000 disoriented grandparents
were admitted into San Diego County Shelters last year. According
to last year’s figures, 35 percent of lost uncles taken
to county shelters were reunited with their nephews and nieces.
A more widespread use of the microchip could improve the chances
a lost relative makes its way back home... San Diego County shelters

January 21, 2010 11:02 am An innocuous little show popped up
on America’s tv screens late last year. Its name is “Glee”
and it’s full of vibrant teens dealing with the gentle challenges
of high school life. These are fresh-faced kids, hard working
and motivated, who can break into song at the drop of a sweaty
football. But is there more to this sugary pop of a series? Should
parents be concerned about any subtext of adult themes and situations?
What makes this show so popular?
- An in-depth analysis of Glee will certainly raise the eyebrows
of parents across America. It contains a surprising number of
mature scenarios– from pre-marital sex to drug use, from
adultery to abortion, from premature ejaculation to explicit
homosexual experimentation. Glee goes out of its way to appear
wholesome at first glance. The first 15 minutes of every episode
is quite polite and that’s part of its success. It is colorful
and cheerful with a scent of innocence. The message it seems
to send is that teens should stay in school and aim for college.
Yet beyond that (once the adults in the room tune out), it descends
into a much darker place.The Parents Television Council warns
that Glee contains, “gratuitous sex, explicit dialogue,
violent content, and obscene language. It is completely unsuitable
for children.” This is reason enough parents should be tuning
their teens out of Glee. But I would go even further– the
ethical and social risks that Glee poses are so severe that it
is unworthy of a home on a national network and should be removed
from broadcast. I sincerely believe that no person or organization

- HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK ACCIDENTALLY PUBLISHES PIC OF STUDENTS

to capture special memories, but for one California school the
definition of “special” has taken on an entirely new
meaning.
- Following the discovery of an illicit photograph in Big Bear
High School’s annual yearbook, students have been mandated
to return their copies. An image present in the book has fueled
child pornography fears, as a 17-year-old boy is pictured putting
his hand under a 15-year-old’s dress. Yahoo! News has more:
- The candid photo, snapped at a dance, showed the couple in
the background. School officials surmised the couple may have
been involved in sex. The photo got past the yearbook adviser
initially. The image, as one parent put it, “did not leap
to the eye” as sexually explicit. Certainly, it didn’t
come across as pornography at first glance.
- Since the Big Bear High School yearbook came out, the compromising
photo was discovered. Students were told to return their yearbooks
for either a sanitized version (sans offending photo) or a refund
on the purchase price. Whether the photo is vague or unclear,
the sheriff’s department says it is deemed child pornography
because it looks like two minor engaged in sex. The Los Angeles

have for the district and for anyone who holds onto an original

- CIRCUMCISION BAN FIGHT TURNS UGLY WITH ANTI-SEMITIC COMICS

Francisco moved on to stereotypic anti-Semitism as a promoter
of the ban distributed a technologically modern, but all-too
reminiscent of medieval, Nazi and Tsarist Jew-hatred, comic that
seeks to delegitimize the circumcision procedure. The comic is
entitled “Foreskin Man” and its hero is shown as he
attempts to stop circumcisions from taking place. He is described
as “an 'intactivist' superhero who rescues innocent boys
from the clutches of the world’s cleverest and most dangerous
circumcisers.”
- Its second issue features an anti-Semitic story in which
Foreskin Man attempts to stop a “Monster Mohel” from
performing a circumcision during a Brit Mila ceremony.
- Circumcision is a Torah commandment which says that Jewish
fathers must circumcize their male infants on the eighth day
after birth. Circumcision is postponed if a baby is underweight,
has high bilirubin count or any other medical problem, but is
a basic sign of the covenant between G-d and the Jews, the Torah
says. It has always been the symbol of belonging to the Jewish
people, often called the People of the Covenant. The Foreskin
Man comic was produced and put out by Matthew Hess, who is one
of the central backers of the anti-circumcision measures. A few
weeks ago it was reported that the backers secured enough signatures
to force a referendum on banning circumcision in the city. The
central activist, Lloyd Schofield, is calling his proposed referendum
the “Male Genital Mutilation bill.” It takes only 7,168
people to force a referendum vote in the city of San Francisco,
whose population is more than 750,000. If Schofield’s initiative
is passed, it would forbid circumcision among males under the
age of 18, and anyone found violating the law would face a fine
