like to introduce ourselves. George and Rita Williams founded
this ministry. We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years.
We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:
out of the cult of Mormonism. We did not know at the time we
were in a cult. No-one had witnessed to us in 20 years.
- The Holy Spirit brought us to information about all the cults
and the present development of the New World Order. We began
bringing our research to you. Because all the research was already
done, we decided to build a library within Cephas Ministry. Our
newsletters are not designed to provoke
anger which is strictly prohibited in Scripture. It is to shed
light on activities by those who would deceive those who are
recorded in the Book of Life by devious methods and systematic
plans.

We attend church if the message is from the authorized KJV Bible.
The focus of these newsletters is to prove why we had to leave
the world system. We are called 'Watchmen on the Wall' which
God always had during the Old / New Testament Times.

- The first section is about the church.
The news about churches is unedited unless indicated by Ednotes.
The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
and today's church doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word
of God has undergone many changes to fit the progressive modes.
Many new Bible tranlations have brought confusion. The Bible
calls for a falling away from the truth before
Jesus comes back for His Bride. The true believers are called
'Ekklesia.' Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the
Bible is true from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, the so called democratizing what is left of the world.
This is a deception since the underlying new world global government
is developed by implementing sustainable development. The
Bible prophesies that there will be ten kings (ten horns), each
king (horn) will receive a region of the world as a reward for
work well done for the Antichrist. This is the reason for the
present development of NAU (The North American Union) as well
as the war in the Middle East. It again proves that we are moving
to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible.
The end result will not be Democracy but a form of Fascist Communism
(Public/Private Corporations enslaving mankind).
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings because Israel is the time piece of the Biblical Prophecy.
1948 was the beginning of the figtree representing Israel, coming
back to life. Israel was allowed to return to its land. Israel
is the rock upon which the world stumbles and crumbles. We watch
and visit Israel for signs which point to the Tribulation to
confirm that we are moving into that space of time.

- A MESSAGE FROM PAKISTAN: AT THE
CROSS: WHAT DO WE SEE?
- John 3:16 (KJV) 16 For God so loved the world that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life’. 1. We see LOVE:
16A For God so loved the world-Greatest love, lavished on us,
extra ordinary, invaluable. 1 John 4 10 This is love: not that
we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning
sacrifice for [c] our sins God loved us first and manifested
this by sending his son Jesus Christ now our Lord and savior.

- 1. We see Sacrifice: On God’s side: B. That he gave
his only begotten Son He gave all what He had, He gave is only
begotten son and this is sacrifice. 1 john 4: 9’ this is
how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son
[b] into the world that we might live through him It was necessary
for God to go this far (Give His one and only son) because he
wanted you and me to live (Have eternal life). On Son’s
side Paul writes to Philippians 2:7
- 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the
form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And
being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. For our Lord
Jesus Christ to have left the heavenliness, come down here on
earth and become like one of us and experience what we do experience
is such a great Sacrifice for Christ the King is one with Father
and he was there before Creations. As if that was not enough,
he humbled himself and became obedient unto death not for his
own sake, but for you and me. This is a great and wonderful sacrifice
that no man can offer.

- 2. We see Forgiveness 16 c. that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. Wages of sin is
death, but forgiveness of our sins earns us eternal life. We
also know that the remedy or medicine for sin is forgiveness
and there is no forgiveness of sins without shedding of the blood
(Even during the old Testament times).
- Jesus shed His blood on cross of Calvary once and for all
to forgive our sins and since we’re forgiven we shall not
perish. We have eternal life that has begun from now as well
as the time when we live with our Lord forever and ever.
- So, we see, sacrifice, love and forgiveness when we look
at the cross of Calvary. Brethren, we are who we’re in Christ
Jesus and more so in God the Father because we have been loved
with an everlasting love, sacrifice has been made for us and
forgiveness has been offered. We have been urged to examine or
gauge ourselves against what the father and the son have done
on our part. We can do this by thinking, and reflecting and more
importantly seeking to pursue love, forgiveness and sacrifice.
Even though we never do everything God commands us, God is faithful
and he continues to love and forgive us as well as sacrificing
bearing with our weakness. We too must love forgive and give
ourselves to others since we expect God to do the same to us.
That way we will be true disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.

- WHAT WAS THE THIRD FATIMA SECRET?
- MAY 6, 2010 Ferrara: Consecration of Russia Not Done
At the Fatima Challenge Conference on Thursday, American attorney
and author Christopher Ferrara argued that there was “overwhelming
evidence” that the Consecration of Russia, requested by
the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1917, has not been performed. During
the apparitions to three shepherd children at Fatima, Portugal
in 1917, Mary requested that the Pope consecrate Russia to Her
Immaculate Heart. She promised the conversion of Russia
and world peace if Her requested was honoured, but warned of
wars, persecutions of the Church and the “annihilation of
nations” if it was not. Ferrara contended that the 1982
and 1984 consecrations of the world to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary by Pope John Paul II did not comply with the Blessed Virgin’s
request because they did not mention Russia by name. He noted
that the late Pope himself acknowledged that he had not performed
the requested consecration. Ferrara also argued that Russia shows
no sign of conversion. Instead, its government is increasingly
repressive, has the highest per-capita abortion rate in the world,
and remains hostile to Catholicism. He urged participants at
the Conference to pressure their bishops and the Holy See to
perform the requested consecration before Mary’s warnings

- FATIMA CHALLENGE MAKES HISTORY IN ROME
- On May 3, 2010 the world’s foremost experts on the most
important event of modern times convened a great congress in
Rome. From morning to evening, from May 3 through May 7, The
Fatima Challenge offered Masses, Rosaries and talks - each talk
more powerful than the last - at the very doorstep of the Vatican
as the Pope prepared for his pilgrimage to Fatima. And the Vatican
was listening. Pope Benedict shocked the media and the Catholic
world during his trip to Portugal by affirming the message we
had been hammering home the previous week in Rome: Fatima is
the key to understanding the present crisis in the Church and
the world. On his way to Portugal, the Holy Father spoke about
the Third Secret to the press and made the following astounding
and historic admission:
- “... I would say that, here too, beyond this great vision
of the suffering of the Pope, which we can in the first place
refer to Pope John Paul II, an indication is given of realities
involving the future of the Church, which are gradually taking
shape and becoming evident. So it is true that, in addition to
the moment indicated in the vision, there is mention of, there
is seen, the need for a passion of the Church, which naturally
is reflected in the person of the Pope, yet the Pope stands for
the Church and thus it is sufferings of the Church that are announced.”
- What can this mean, except that the Fatima prophecy is continuing
to be realized in the sufferings of the Pope and the Church?
Is this not what we in Our Lady’s Apostolate have been saying
these past 33 years?
- Is this not the message we brought to Rome and that the Pope
took to Fatima? Italian journalist Antonio Socci has declared
that the Pope is now engaged in “Operation Truth” on
Fatima. Of The Fatima Challenge, we can say: mission accomplished.
The conference was a great success, even surpassing our highest
hopes. But our work goes on.

- OBAMA ADMINISRATION BACKS VATICAN IN PEDOPHILE CASE
May 25 2010 Breatibart.com - The Obama administration in a brief
to the Supreme Court has backed the Vatican's claim of immunity
from lawsuits arising from cases of sexual abuse by priests in
the United States.
The Supreme Court is considering an appeal by the Vatican of
an appellate court ruling that lifted its immunity in the case
of an alleged pedophile priest from Oregon. In a filing on Friday,
the solicitor general's office argued that the Ninth Circuit
court of appeals erred in allowing the lawsuit brought by a man
who claims he was sexually abused in the 1960s by the Oregon
priest. The unnamed plaintiff, who cited the Holy See and several
other parties as defendants, argued the Vatican should be held
responsible for transferring the priest to Oregon and letting
him serve there despite previous accusations he had abused children

Those are the statistics Pastor Jonathan Falwell laid out to
thousands of ministers who were in Lynchburg, Va., Tuesday for
the "Refuel" conference. The well-known pastor stated
bluntly, "Something is wrong in ministry." Citing surveys
from such groups as Barna, LifeWay and Acts 29, Falwell lamented
that 1,500 pastors walk away from ministry every month because
of moral failure, burnout, conflict, discouragement or depression.
He was also shocked to find that 80 percent of seminary and Bible
school graduates will leave the ministry within their first five
years. Part of the problem, he indicated, is trying to make it
to the big numbers and most influential lists or aiming for the
most Twitter followers.

- DAMNABLE HERESIES INVADING THE CHURCH

number of Christians are unaware that literally truck loads of
counterfeit Christians have gained access to pulpits, wormed
their way into Church leadership, Christian organizations and
are deeply entrenched in the so-called Christian entertainment
industry. Call them what you will--false teachers/prophets, liberals/progressives,
cultists, misinformed, misled, even looney tunes--the one thing
they all have in common is that they have strayed from the truth.
- Unbiblical teaching has been going on since the early church
took root. Peter cautioned that “there were false prophets
also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers
among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even
denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves
swift destruction” (2 Peter 2:1).
- Today there is a damnable heresy in the Church that many
Christians haven’t yet heard of: The New Apostolic Reformation
(NAR) a.k.a. Dominionism/ Kingdom Now/Replacement Theology. Those
who disagree with their false gospel must be removed through
intense “spiritual warfare” and by raising up a “new
breed “of Christian they call an “Army of God.”
- The NAR is not new at all. Only the name has been changed—many
times—to fool people into thinking there is a “New
Wave” or a “Paradigm Shift” taking place in Christendom.
Over the years they have dubbed themselves Joel’s Army,
Latter Rain, Manifest Sons of God, and the list goes on. They’re
ushering in “a reformation greater in scale than the reformation
of the 1500's.”
- A liberal pundit lamented that NAR is on a mission to “take
control of communities and nations through large networks of
'prayer warriors' whose spiritual warfare is used to expel and
destroy the demons that cause societal ills. Once the territorial
demons, witches, and generational curses are removed, the 'born-again'

- TED HAGGARD STARTS NEW CHURCH

- Ted Haggard, who in 2006 was forced to resign as pastor of
the New Life megachurch in Colorado Springs and as head of the
National Association of Evangelicals, is starting a new church
called St. James. Haggard was caught having a homosexual relationship
with a male prostitute. Now, Haggard says his new church, which
is located not far from New Life Church, is a place for broken
people, for sinners, for those who have hit rock bottom, and
will be open to "gays, straights, tall, short, addicts and
recovering addicts" ("Church Will Open Arms,"
Denver Post, June 2, 2010). Haggard claims that because of his
own moral downfall and the "judgmental" way he was
treated by some, he is able to understand and help others, but
he is failing to distinguish properly between sympathy for sinners
and acceptance of sin. Every sound, Christ-centered church is
sympathetic toward sinners. On any given week at the main service
of our church, for example, we have adulterers, fornicators,
liars, idolators, and probably homosexuals in attendance. We
always have three or four dozen Hindus. They receive a warm welcome
and often come back. But there is a major difference between
welcoming every type of sinner to attend church and allowing
unrepentant, unconverted sinners to be members of the church.
In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 the apostle Paul described the members
of the church at Corinth. They had been fornicators, idolaters,
adulterers, homosexuals, thieves, and drunkards, but Paul described
those traits in the past tense, because they had been converted
and changed. "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not
inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators,
nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of
themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards,
nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of
God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are
sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus,
and by the Spirit of our God." We thank God for the His
mercy in Jesus Christ, and apart from that mercy we know that
we are nothing. But Ted Haggard has brought terrible, irreparable
reproach upon the name and cause of Jesus Christ, and in my opinion
he should shut his mouth and stop having press conferences and
prove his repentance by quiet humility. For his own soul's sake,
he should also renounce the psychobabble of his restoration process.

on facebook had a very bad experience while we were in a thread

- The reason I am right this blog is to expose the conversation
that went on on facebook on the 3rd July 2010. Personally I am
fed up with Pastors who think they can be pastors when they do
not qualify to do so.. their are very clear boundaries in the
bible that explains the type of man (yes man) that should be
an elder.. and here are the scriptures.

- Pope Benedict XVI will be visiting the UK September 16-19th.
Government and Church leaders are already welcoming the upcoming
event. Significantly, the visit comes less than a year after

- EU SAYS REMOVING ILLEGAL ARAB STRUCTURES AN ‘OBSTACLE
TO PEACE’

Israel’s plan to tear down illegal Arab dwellings to make
way for an archaeological park and tourist center is an “obstacle
to peace.”
- Catherine Ashton, chief of EU foreign affairs, reminded Israel
that the EU never has recognized Jewish sovereignty over what
is generally referred to as eastern Jerusalem, where it backs
the Palestinian Authority demand to base a capital for a new
Arab country. The areas actually include neighborhoods in southern,
northern and eastern Jerusalem, most of them almost exclusively
Jewish areas where 300,000 people live.
- Ashton asserted that the Jewish homes in these areas are
in effect “settlements, and the demolition of [Arab] homes
is illegal under international law, constitutes an obstacle to
peace and threatens to make a two-state solution impossible.”
The homes in question were built without a legal permit.

Mitchell’s resumption of indirect discussions, dubbed proximity
talks, with his shuttling back and forth between Jerusalem and

- HINDUS WANT WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES TO ORGANIZE GLOBAL
INTERFAITH SUMMIT
- June 28, 2010 - 07:55 Hindus have welcomed “inter-religious
dialogue and cooperation” program of World Council of Churches
(WCC). “In our increasingly pluralistic societies, more
inter-religious dialogue and cooperation are needed if conflict
fueled by religion is to be constructively addressed… we
must learn to live our faith with integrity while respecting
and accepting each other”, this WCC Program points out.
- Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA)
today, said that serious and honest interfaith dialogue was the
need of the hour and WCC, being one of the largest religious
organizations of the world, should come forward in organizing
one. Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism,
suggested that WCC should invite leaders of major world religions
and denominations and initiate the dialogue.
- Religion was the most powerful, complex and far-reaching
force in our society, so we must take it seriously. And we all
knew that religion comprised much more than our own particular

of giving to others such as giving to the poor or tithing. God
looks at the act each individual person is doing, from their
heart. Jesus tells us we will be judged on our works. Socalism
or the distribution of wealth is not what Jesus was talking about.
To take the money from people and give it to a poor person does
not help the person the money came from spiritually. They are
not doing it from their heart with conviction from God. It may
even harden their hearts and they may never give. Please take

- Rather than seeing the event to be the judgment of God, Bishop
has been quoted as saying, “I think he (the Jesus image)
couldn’t have gotten this much advertising if we had paid
a billion dollars.”

“Now we get to build a whole brand-new one, paid-for,”
adding “We are blessed.”
- In accepting insurance money to rebuild the image, Solid
Rock Church is agreeing to the fact that the statue was destroyed
by “an act of God.” So it would seem that despite the
church’s apparent admission that God himself destroyed the
image, they intend to rebuild it to spite his judgment.
- This is in character with the American church which has lost
her spiritual bearings. The opportunity to reap financial rewards
and advertising outweighs to advantage God gives her by repentance.

- WORDS MATTER - LISTEN CAREFUYLLY TO OUR CURRENT ADMINISTRATION
- Since the initially strong language on religious freedom
used in President Obama's Cairo speech, presidential references
to religious freedom have become rare, often replaced, at most,
with references to freedom of worship. A purposeful change in
language could mean a much narrower view of the right to religious
freedom. Does this change of language indicate a change of policy?
As Catholics, this is an area where we must remain vigilant.
These small changes can be used to change our perception of rights
and freedoms.

to fulfill their duty to worship God, has to do with immunity
from coercion in civil society. Therefore it leaves untouched
traditional Catholic doctrine on the moral duty of men and societies

was barely noticeable to the average citizen but political observers
are raising red flags at the use of a new term "freedom
of worship" by President Obama and Secretary Clinton
as a replacement for the term freedom of religion. This shift

- DISTRACTIONS, DISTRACTIONS
- By Andrew Strom. I made a number of people mad with my piece
a few days ago, "Can Patriotism Be Idolatry?" I have
always found that this is by far the "riskiest" topic
that I can ever bring up. One guy even asked if I "hate
America". I replied that I truly love America and love it's
people. In fact, it is one of my topmost favorite nations in
the world. My brother lives there. My nephews live there. I love
America! But that was certainly not the issue in my article.
Another man hinted that I must be a "left-winger".
Actually, I am truly and deeply Conservative - and have been
for years. The major point we were really raising in that article
has to do with "Distractions". I can't bear to see
my fellow brothers and sisters literally exhausting themselves
with campaign after campaign of political activism - when the
real problems in America are "SPIRITUAL". And only
'spiritual' solutions can solve them. JESUS is the answer to
what ails America. Politics will never do it. I am not against
"voting" at all. By all mean vote! But what I am talking
about here is the "distraction" of spending so much
time on Politics when that can never truly solve the problems
we face. Just think of the enormous time and energy and devotion
that so many people put into "electing the right guy".
Do we put that much passion into the Gospel and Prayer? I think
not. A lot of us have deluded ourselves that Politics can solve
these "spiritual" issues. They can't. Only Jesus can.

- IS THE POPE IN DANGER?

that Pope Benedict XVI is heading into enemy territory in “Post-Christian”
England. Sadly, I may be more right than I imagined. A member
of British Parliament says he fears violence at an open air mass
with Pope Benedict XVI after an Islamic publication called Muslims
to attend the Mass to convert Catholics and “tell the Pope
in no uncertain terms what Muslims think of his evil slanders
against the last Prophet of God and his message.” I think
it’s the “in no uncertain terms” that’s making
some a little nervous. Oh, the same publication also called the
Pope “evil.”

on a recent Sunday morning, the Yeldell family walked no farther
than their own living room to greet fellow worshippers. The members
of this "house church" are part of what experts say
is a fundamental shift in the way U.S. Christians think about
church. Skip the sermons, costly church buildings and large,
faceless crowds, they say. House church is about relationships
forged in small faith communities. In general, house churches
consist of 12 to 15 people who share what's going on in their
lives, often turning to Scriptures for guidance. They rely on
the Holy Spirit or spontaneity to lead the direction of their
weekly gatherings.
- "I think part of the appeal for some in the house church
movement is the desire to return to a simpler expression of church,"
said Ed Stetzer, a seminary professor and president of Lifeway
Research, which is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
"For many, church has become too much (like a) business
while they just want to live like the Bible." House church
proponents claim their small groups are sort of a throwback to
the early Christian church in that they have no clergy and everyone
is expected to contribute to the teaching, singing and praying.

- THE FAMILY: A CULT MORE DEADLY THAN CHRISTAN ZIONISM?

Feb 5 story, “Obama Keeps Faith as Prayer Breakfast Criticized,”
has only scratched the surface in exposing the danger to world
peace (as if we have any) by this secret elitist branch of Judeo-Christianity.
The Family's theology props up the mega egos of already powerful
politicians and businessmen who are fueled with a love of self
in a dangerous form of elitism that encourages them to take infinite
power and assert that power over the masses. And it is all played
out to a supposedly Christian drum beat, as explained in a fairly
written story in Irish Times. (1)
- The Christian “theology” with which The Family
justifies its actions over ordinary citizens lies in the ancient
self-serving axiom that “might makes right,” and that
all those in power are placed there by God. It is not new to
sing these lyrics to a Biblical tune. How convenient for politicians
to claim to believe this. Harper’s writer Jeff Sharlet exposed
the group in several articles and a book entitled The Family:
The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power, published
in 2008. Sharlet, who lived with The Family for a month, did
us all a favor. This writer had never looked into who ran the
annual prayer breakfast that always took in the highest of the
most mighty each year, and never seemed to pray about the world
problems that worry me. The Washington Annual Prayer Breakfast,
sponsored without notice by The Family, drew flak this year from
alternative life style advocates who don't like the connections
between The Family and the current Ugandan dictator who enacted
death legislation against homosexuals. Shades of Amin, Idi that
is, and I hope you saw the movie! Just imagine a group that thinks
Idi Amin was appointed by God to rule Uganda?
- Question: What is really wrong with “The Family”
and why should all followers of Christ denounce and oppose it?
- Answer: Because it will take Christian Zionists, including
President Obama, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, and a flock of Congressmen
in both parties to a dangerous new height of political power
by whispering in their ears, “Do it,” God gave you
power so He must want you to do your will.
- Christian Zionism, which we named and have written about
for some 9 years, has begun to disgrace itself, replacing love
of Jesus with demands for endless wars against Islamic nations,
all based on the notion that the state of Israel is a semi-God.
Now the secretive elite underground group, “The Family,”
seems to be providing both a rational training ground, and home
away from home for Congressmen and “wannabees” who
are embarrassed by Christian Zionists. Pastors of all churches
should denounce both The Family and Christian Zionism as parallel
paths of scriptural misrepresentation, both leading to more tyranny…

It's a shame that this year's Southern Baptist Convention didn't
get more attention from the news media. True, there were no controversial
challenges to Mormons or Jews or Disney. There was no inward
doctrinal cleansing or outward political consternation. But while
the annual meeting of America's largest body of Protestants avoided
culture clashes and church fights, delegates (messengers, they
call them) didn't ignore difficult issues, choosing to "wrestle"
-- as religion journalist Terry Mattingly put it -- with corporate
and personal sin, and denominational salvation. As I noted last
week, the SBC meeting in Orlando adopted a surprisingly strongly
worded resolution expressing its collective dismay about the
gulf oil spill and urging the government "to ensure full
corporate accountability for damages, clean-up, and restoration."
It added that people and industries "are accountable to
higher standards than to profit alone."
The convention also made a statement about the "scandal
of Southern Baptist divorce," noting that despite the convention's
regular defense of the sanctity of marriage, studies indicate
that conservative Protestants divorce at rates equal to or higher
than the general population. The resolution "acknowledged
the complicity of many among us for too often failing to show
the world the meaning of the gospel through marital fidelity."
July 16, 2010 - Southern Baptist baptisms and membership have
been declining for years, after decades of theological and political
purification. "We are a denomination in decline," Ed
Stetzer, president of LifeWay Research, wrote on the "Between
the Times" blog sponsored by Southeastern Baptist Theological
Seminary. "Some don't like to admit it. But, the decline
of SBC membership is not a matter of debate. It is a matter of

- GOING BEYOND DISRESPECT
- [Email] The movie " Corpus Christi " is due to
be released this June to August. A disgusting film set to appear
in America later this year depicts Jesus and his disciples as
homosexuals! As a play, this has already been in theatres for
a while. It's called " Corpus Christi " which means
"The Body of Christ". It's revolting mockery of our
Lord. But we can make a difference. That's why I am sending this
e-mail to you. If you do send this around, we just might be able
to prevent this film from showing in America . Let's stand for
what we believe in and stop the mockery of Jesus Christ our Savior.
Where do we stand as Christians? At the risk of a bit of inconvenience,

Why did Jesus Christ say: Love not the world neither the things
that are in the world. 1 John 2:15. Because of
the mighty irresistible centrifugal force exerted by the world
on the Christian. The world is the reality of the
seen, the visible, with immediate impact on the five senses of
mankind. The world is in near perfect
synchronization with the sinful carnal nature of man. So the
world exerts a powerful drawing power on
Christians to lay aside their devotion to the unseen world and
to un-fix, as it were, their gaze from the Kingdom
of Heaven and its other-worldly values and goals and to view
instead the immediate, tangible, visible, carnal
pleasures of this present world. Television is the all time winner
in that field.
The force of the world’s temptations is constantly pulling
the Christian away from his central focus which is the
Lord Jesus Christ. See Ps. Chapter one. “Thou shalt have
no other Gods before me”. Thou shalt make no
graven image of anything in the heavens, or the earth.”
Jehovah told Moses; There is no god with me. Deut
32:39. So God is all alone; only one can be all-powerful.
The second commandment is truly an extension of the first. Jehovah
forbids the making of any kind of image
or likeness of anything in heaven or earth. Why? Because of the
great power of ‘images’ of reality to capture
the minds of the people and thereby control them as with a channel
selector. It is human nature that when a
man makes an image, he will also attribute ‘mind’ to
that image and give ‘it’ a name and even speak to it.

- ITALIAN GAY PRIESTS ACTIVITIES IN BARS
- July 26, 2010 - Ayinde O. Chase - AHN News Editor - Rome,
Italy (AHN) - Video footage of three Catholic priests inside
a gay club and engaging in sex in a church building have Roman
Catholic officials fuming in this latest sex scandal to rock
the church. The local diocese is now demanding gay priests acknowledge
their sexuality.
The Italian-language weekly magazine, Panorama, owned by Prime
Minister Silvio Berlusconi, is currently running a story entitled
"Gay Priests' Nights on the Town." In the scandal’s
wake, officials want priests who are gay to step forward and
"reveal themselves." The magazine offers detailed accounts,
images, and video of the men’s activities engaging in a
homosexual lifestyle the church deems vice filmed with hidden
cameras during month of undercover reporting. Other images show
the priests kissing the Panorama collaborator.
- "Those who live a 'double life', who do not understand
what it is to be a Catholic priest, should not become priests,"
the diocese said in a statement. The church also revealed it
would pursue "with rigor any behavior that is unworthy of
the priestly life," and "consistency demands that they
reveal themselves. We don't wish them any harm, but we cannot
accept that the honor of all the others is dragged through the
mud because of their behavior."

civil rights activist condemned Panorama's investigation as a
"horrible political and cultural operation." However
he did agree that if priests in Rome were to follow the advice
given to them in the church’s statement, it would "paralyze"
the diocese.
- The story brings up the debate that homosexuals do exist
in the Church, however they are not the ones who commit sex abuse
on children. Homosexuality is a highly sensitive issue for the
Roman Catholic church. The church’s doctrine stipulates
that any sexual activity outside marriage is sinful. Pope Benedict
XVI, who is particularly opposed to gay marriage, said during
a visit in May to Portugal, a country about to legalize same-sex
union, that it was an "insidious and dangerous threat to
the common good." The Panorama article also comes at a time
that the church is in the midst of numerous pedophilia scandals
involving Catholic clergy and is debating the issue of rethinking
the celibacy rule for priests. The Vatican number two, Cardinal
Tercisio Bertone, caused his own firestorm when in April he suggested
homosexuality, and not celibacy, was at the core of the pedophilia
scourge.

- THE HIDDEN WEALTH OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

Church in Germany, already struggling to cope with the sex abuse
scandal, has been hit by revelations of theft, opaque accounting
and extravagance. While the grassroots faithful are being forced
to make cutbacks, some bishops enjoy the trappings of the church's
considerable hidden wealth. Shortly before Pentecost, Pastor
S. received an unexpected early morning visit, not from the Holy
Ghost, but from the police.
- For the authorities, the words of the Gospel of Luke came
true on that morning: He who seeks finds. More than €131,000
($158,000) were hidden in various places in the rooms of the
Catholic priest, tucked in between his laundry or attached to
the bottom of drawers. The reverend was arrested on the spot.
After several weeks in custody, Hans S., 76, is now back at the
monastery, waiting for his trial.
- And lo and behold, the proliferation of cash may have been
even more miraculous than initially assumed. The public prosecutor's
office in the southern city of Würzburg now estimates that
S. may have embezzled up to €1.5 million from collections
and other church funds. The members of his flock in a wine-growing
village in the northern Bavarian region of Franconia are stunned.
They had blindly trusted their shepherd, who always seemed so
humble and modest.
- The Catholic Church is currently being shaken by a number
of financial scandals, not only in Franconia but also in Augsburg,
another Bavarian city, where Bishop Walter Mixa's dip into funds
from a foundation that runs children's homes recently made headlines.
- More than €40 million have gone missing in the Diocese
of Magdeburg in eastern Germany, €5 million have disappeared
in Limburg near Frankfurt, and it was recently discovered that
a senior priest in the Diocese of Münster had 30 secret
bank accounts. And while parishes throughout Germany are cutting
jobs and funds for community work, many bishops are still living
on the high horse. A brand-new residence? An ostentatious home
for their retirement? Restoration of a Marian column to the tune
of €120,000? None of these expenditures presents a problem
to high-ranking church officials from Trier in the west to Passau
in the southeastern corner of Bavaria, whose coffers are brimming

- FORMER EAST GERMAN DISSIDENT PASTOR COULD UPSET MERKER'S
FUTURE
- Trier, Germany (ENI). A former East German dissident and
Lutheran pastor who is standing as the candidate of German opposition
parties in the country's forthcoming presidential election is
seen as threatening Chancellor Angela Merkel's coalition government.
"Unfortunately what is at stake is not the issue of who
is the best man for this post. What is at stake are power, revenge
and the fate of Angela Merkel," the weekly news magazine
Der Spiegel commented on 28 June. Seventy-year-old Joachim Gauck,
who led protests in the northern city of Rostock against East
Germany's then communist rulers in 1989, is the presidential
candidate nominee of the Social Democratic Party and the Green
party. Gauck is also known as the first head of the authority
that deals with the files of the Stasi, the former East German

in a crucial ideological struggle that is taking place in the
kingdom and throughout the Muslim world. He is charged with organizing
an international conference on the ancient Islamic practice of
takfir. More than just another academic conference, it is part
of a concerted effort by the House of Saud and top theologians
here to reclaim core concepts of Islam that have been warped
and misinterpreted by militants.
- Simply put, takfir means declaring a fellow Muslim an apostate,
or infidel, because of behavior deemed unIslamic.
- In recent decades, extremist groups like Al Qaeda have used
takfir — hijacked may be a better word — as the theological
underpinning for their ideology and to justify murdering other
Muslims.
- Across the Middle East, they invoke takfir to kill and threaten
women for not covering their hair, Iraqis for working with American
occupiers, novelists for writing racy scenes, television executives
for airing romantic soap operas and government officials for
being part of what extremists call takfiri, or infidel, regimes.
- “The danger of this ideology is greater now than it
has ever been,” said Al Maiman on a recent rainy night in
Riyadh. “It is the most dangerous because whoever adopts
this ideology ... also believes that he has the duty of ... expressing
it through acts. And they reach a stage where they pay [with]
