The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church which doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word of God has undergone many changes to fit the present mode. The Bible calls for a falling away from the truth before Jesus comes back for His Bride, the true believers are called 'Ekklesia.' Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the Bible is true from beginning to end. The second section is about globalism where we bring your attention to the social, political and global trend, so called democratizing what is left. One third of the world still remains to be taken over. It again proves that we are moving to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible. The times of the gentiles begin with Nebuchadnezzar's conquest of Judah. Egypt defeated at battle of Carchemish. Jerusalem is taken and the first wave of Jews carried into captivity, Daniel among them. Jerusalem will henceforth be trodden down of the gentiles as the times of the gentiles runs its course between the Babylonian captivity and the end of the great tribulation period. The Babylonian dominion of Israel is the head-of-gold period (Daniel 2:36-38; 2 Kings 24:1; 2 Chronicles 36:5-6; Daniel 1:1-2; Luke 21:24). 597 King Jehoiachin is carried captive by Nebuchadnezzar and the second wave of Jews is taken into Babylon, Ezekiel among them (2 Kings 24:10-16; 2 Chronicles 36:10; Ezekiel 1:2). 587 Zedekiah rebels against Nebuchadnezzar. He is blinded and taken to Babylon where he dies. Zedekiah is the last king in the line of David to reign in Israel until the Messiah reigns during the millennium (Ezekiel 34:23-24; Jeremiah 23:5; 2 Kings 24:18-25:21; 2 Chronicles 36:13-21; Jeremiah 39:1-8). Final siege and destruction of the First Temple on the 9th of Av (August) 586. Jeremiah taken to Egypt. 539 Cyrus, having established himself in control of the Medo-Persian empire in 549 B.C., captures Babylon, and the second world empire to dominate the Jews during the times of the gentiles comes upon the world scene. This is the breast-and-arms-of-silver period (Daniel 2:32, 39; 6:1-3). 538 The edict of Cyrus opens the way for the Jews in Babylon to return to the land (Ezra 1:1-4). Second Temple altar in place and foundation laid in 537. Feast of Tabernacles celebrated in 536. Work stops while people build their own houses until Haggai in the fall of 520 BC exhorts them to resume building the Temple. Zerubbabel is governor (but also heir in the line of David) and Joshua is the Aaronic High Priest. 515 The second temple is dedicated in Jerusalem (Ezra 6:15-18). The restoration of the Temple marks the end of the 70 years of captivity. 537-334 The Persian Period. The Jews are in the land but are under the control of the Persians (Josephus, Antiquities 111:7). 445 Artaxerxes decrees the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem, thus beginning Daniel's seventy weeks (Daniel 9:24; Neh 2). 334-167 The Hellenistic Period. The Jews, in the land, are under the successive dominion of the Greeks, then the Ptolemies of Egypt, and then the Seleucids of Syria. This is the third great world empire to dominate the Jews during the times of the gentiles. It is the belly-and-thighs-of-brass era (Daniel 2:32. 39; Josephus, Antiquities 11.7-12.6; Daniel 11:2-20). For that day will not arrive until the departure comes and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, the son of destruction. 4 He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, and as a result he takes his seat in God's temple, displaying himself as God. 5 Surely you recall that I used to tell you these things while I was still with you. 6 And so you know what holds him back, so that he will be revealed in his own time. 7 For the hidden power of lawlessness is already at work. However, the one who holds him back will do so until he is taken out of the way, 8 and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will destroy by the breath of his mouth and wipe out by the manifestation of his arrival." 2 Thessalonians 2:3-8 Verses 3-5 above provide a description of the order of events: 1. The removal of the Church 2. The revealing of the antichrist 3. The antichrist presenting himself as God And then again in verses 6-8: 1. The Church is holding the antichrist back, though he is still at work now 2. He is to be revealed in the right time 3. The One who holds him back (the Church) is taken out of the way 4. The lawless one (antichrist) is revealed 5. The Lord returns to destroy the antichrist (Second Coming) When using the word "departure" or "removal" in verse 3 above, the subsequent verses coincide and restate the same events. We have three similar statements on the removal of the Church first, and then the revealing of the antichrist. Even so, we can turn to modern Greek scholars who can give us a clearer understanding as new advances in language and etymology studies often reveal: We should be intrigued by those Greek scholars who have looked at the etymology of the word apostasia as it relates to the Greeks and the Jews. The recent English translation of the word has generally been accepted as a "falling away." Apostasia is most theologically debated when referring to 2 Thess 2:3, specifically noting events that must precede the Day of the Lord (Second Coming). In that passage there are at least four views on the meaning of apostasia: (1) a designation for the Man of Sin (Chrysostom, Theophylact, Augustine, Alford, Moffatt); (2) the religious apostasy that will precede the Second Coming of Christ (Calvin, Chafer, Walvoord, Ryrie, Gundry); (3) the religious-political rebellion against Christ that will culminate in the Battle of Armageddon (Hogg, Vine, Moore, Morris, Bruce); and (4) the rapture of the Church, in the sense of physical departure from the earth (English, Wuest, House, Ice). The Pope’s second-in-command, Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, denied that the Church was suppressing a vision of the end of the world said to have been revealed by the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children on a hillside at Fatima in Portugal exactly 90 years ago. The three “Secrets of Fatima” were written down by one of the children, Lucia Dos Santos – who became a Carmelite nun – and sent to the Vatican in a sealed envelope. Two of the “secrets” were made public, apparently predicting the inferno of 20th-century world war and totalitarianism and the eventual reconversion of Communist Russia to Christianity. Pope John Paul II suggested that the third “secret” predicted the 1981 attempt on his life. He failed to satisfy conspiracy theorists however, with many accusing the Vatican of disclosing only part of the last Fatima secret. Antonio Socci, a Catholic journalist and author of The Fourth Secret of Fatima, said that he had at first accepted John Paul’s explanation. His researches led him to believe however that the late Pope’s revelation had been “partial”. He said that the undisclosed portion of the “secret” predicted a crisis of faith in the West and the collapse of the Church hierarchy in the face of a tidal wave of “apostasy and heresy”. Marco Tosatti, a Vatican watcher and author of The Prophecies of Fatima, also said that the Vatican was believed to be “hiding something” so as “not to alarm millions of the faithful”. Just when some traditional Catholics thought Pope Benedict XVI might dam the stream of novelties and nonsense that has flowed from Vatican II, those who hold to the true Faith and the true practice of our Faith were shocked this Easter when the Holy Father introduced a new version of the Stations of the Cross. The big blow came from the Vatican's changes to not just the route that Catholics were invited to follow, but the content of the ceremony. Traditionally the Via Crucis begins with a reflection on how Jesus was unjustly condemned to die by Pontius Pilate, to whom He was given up by the Sanhedrin, the council of Jewish priests. Now we are invited to think not of Our Suffering Lord but of the poor suffering Jews. In his remarks, the Pope recalled the sentence that was passed over the Jews by the Nazis, and their suffering in concentration camps. Gone from the "New Way of the Cross" is the station where Jesus drops the Cross, as well as the sixth station with its reference to St. Veronica, who wiped the adorable face of Jesus. St. Veronica, the Vatican tells us now, is "merely apocryphal" and not mentioned in the Gospels. Apparently they have forgotten that the tradition of the Church is to be believed and revered equally with the words of the Gospel. There were still more changes to come. A reference to Judas Iscariot was inserted by Monsignor Gianfranco Ravasi, who "updated" the ceremony at the Pope's request. Later, at the eighth station, where Jesus met a group of women, the Pope spoke out against the suffering of "violated" women. In one ceremony the Holy Father managed to apologize to the Jews, and to women. Last year he apologized to the Muslims. And this Easter he referenced the poor suffering peoples of Africa, the victims of years of colonial oppression. Pretty soon he won't have anyone left to apologize to! What puzzles us is the Pope's seeming desire to continue in the footsteps of his predecessor with "reforms" and "updates" to the rituals and ceremonies Catholics have held dear for centuries. Only a few years ago John Paul II gave us his ill-conceived "Luminous Mysteries" to add to the Rosary. Now Benedict XVI wishes on us a new and "politically correct" Way of the Cross. In the name of God, why?!.." "... Sadly, we are still waiting for the Holy Father to say the words we long to hear. Weeks have turned into months, and months have turned into years. Now we have a new document, Sacramentum Caritatis, the Apostolic Exhortation on the Eucharist released on March 13th. What does it offer the faithful who are longing for the return of the Mass of All Time? Nothing more than "a reform of the reform". As Cardinal Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVI did not hide his dissatisfaction with the results of Vatican II's liturgical revolution. While the Cardinal's words always fell short of the doctrinal pointedness of Cardinal Ottaviani, he nonetheless recognized that liturgically, something had gone wrong. However, it seems now that in this and all things, Pope Benedict XVI is firmly a man of Vatican II. He rules out bypassing the Council's destructive liberalism, since he himself favors the two key modernist tenets of the Council: ecumenism and religious liberty. As a result, instead of the old Mass, we will have more Latin in the New Mass, the tabernacle restored to a central location in churches, yet more "inculturation", and -- believe it or not -- limited intercommunion with Protestants." Neither did I and if asked, I probably would have said, “So what?” I have not been particularly fond of the little critters since I have been on the receiving end of one of their stingers. I did not know how important the little bee was in the grand scheme of things until now. The bee losses are ranging from 30%-60% on the West Coast, and beekeepers on the East Coast and in Texas reporting losses of more than 70%. A loss of up to 20% in the off season is considered to be normal, above that, something odd is going on. A beekeeper recently found that half of his 100 million bees have been missing since January of this year. Twenty four states have received similar reports fro beekeepers all across out nation- the bees are missing! There are reports of missing bees in England, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. I knew bees were necessary to pollinate flowers and various crops, but I never realized how the chain of bee-flower-crop-produce, livelihoods, etc. could be such a threat to all of us if there were no more bees. What I was unaware of was the fact that most of the world's crops depend on pollination by bees! Researchers now call the disappearance of the bees, “Colony Collapse Disorder” (CCD). Honeybees play a critical link in getting fruits and veggies to our diner tables. (Now we’re talking!) Beekeepers are calling this the first “national affliction.” Cornell University has reported in a study that honeybees annually pollinate more than $14 billion worth of seeds and crops in the United States, mostly fruits, vegetables and nuts. "Every third bite we consume in our diet is dependent on a honeybee to pollinate that food," said Zac Browning, vice president of the American Beekeeping Federation.. Ah, the plot thickens…Some scientists suggest that all of the mobile phones in use could be responsible for the bees disappearance. This loss could contribute to massive food shortages, as the world's harvests fail, worldwide famine is a very real possibility because of the loss of pollinated fruits and vegetables. This is their theory: Mobile phones give off radiation, so do other high-tech gadgets that we love so much. This radiation–bee connection is a possible answer to one of the more bizarre mysteries ever to happen in the world of nature. It seems that radiation from mobile phones interferes with the bees' navigation systems, preventing them from finding their way back to their hives. (Little tiny bee maps are not readily available at local gas stations.) Bees refuse to return to their hives when mobile phones are placed nearby. Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), occurs when a hive's inhabitants suddenly disappear, leaving only queens, (who never do any real work, hence the name, “Queen Bee”). Also left are eggs and a few immature workers. (teenage bees, who no doubt refuse to clean their hives!) The disappearing bees never manage to find their way home because of the interference from the radiation coming from our phones. (E-Bee phone home!) Parasites, wildlife and other bees that normally raid the honey and pollen left behind when a colony dies, refuse to go anywhere near the abandoned hives. John Chapple, one of London's biggest bee-keepers, announced that 23 of his 40 hives have been abruptly abandoned. ALBERT EINSTEIN ONCE SAID THAT “IF THE BEES DISAPPEARED, MAN WOULD HAVE ONLY FOUR YEARS OF LIFE LEFT". Some have proposed other theories such as: mites, pesticides, and global warming, but none of these theories seem to point to the fact that God’s Word speaks of a day when massive famines will affect our planet. (Rev. 6:6) Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!" We know famines are here in diverse places already, but it will take more than famine to explain away the missing bees! Note that in (Rev. 6:6) olives and grapes are spared. Bees are not necessary to pollinate grapes, which are considered to be either completely self- fertilizing or are cross-pollinated by wind. So the grape harvest will not be affected by the missing bee population. Bees and other insects play a minor role in olive pollination; wind moves most of the pollen from tree to tree. Most olive varieties are self-fertilizing as well, but increased production often results from cross pollination. So grapes and olives will not be affected by CCD! While other fruits and vegetables will suffer from lack of proper pollination, resulting in global famine, God’s Word already mandated that olives and grapes would still be around! (Or should I say BEE around!) Something so small as a bee and yet, God has designed the bee as well, to take his part in the end times- both harvest and famine! When challenged about the practice, which began about two months ago, the Army said it is preparing troops heading to Iraq and Afghanistan. Dub Skidmore, of the Public Affairs Office at the post, says that the soldiers must be immersed in Islamic culture (OneNewsNow, May 9, 2007). In fact, Islamic prayers are purely religious, and Baptist prayers would doubtless not be allowed. Sarah Holler, whose husband has been stationed at Fort Riley for about five years, protests: "My kids are subjected to it, I'm subjected to it, and spouses and soldiers that aren't getting deployed are being subjected to it. And one of my concerns is actually that soldiers who have already been deployed to Iraq are coming home and hearing it in their own country." Blog: The original purpose of the case was not to carry the clash of cultures into the courtroom. Instead, the case brought before Frankfurt's family court was that of a 26-year-old German woman of Moroccan origin who was terrified of her violent Moroccan husband, a man who had continued to threaten her despite having been ordered to stay away by the authorities. He had beaten his wife and he had allegedly threatened to kill her. But German law requires a one-year separation before a divorce can be completed -- and exceptions for an expedited process are only granted in extreme situations. When the woman's attorney, Barbara Becker-Rojczyk, filed a petition for an expedited divorce, Judge Christa Datz-Winter suddenly became inflexible. According to the judge, there was no evidence of "an unreasonable hardship" that would make it necessary to dissolve the marriage immediately. Instead, the judge argued, the woman should have "expected" that her husband, who had grown up in a country influenced by Islamic tradition, would exercise the "right to use corporal punishment" his religion grants him. The judge even went so far as to quote the Koran in the grounds for her decision. In Sura 4, verse 34, she wrote, the Koran contains "both the husband's right to use corporal punishment against a disobedient wife and the establishment of the husband's superiority over the wife." A disturbing pattern of rulings: Put plainly, the judge argued that a woman who marries a Muslim should know what she's getting herself into. In Germany, no less. Leading German feminist Alice Schwarzer argued that this was tantamount to a "softening of our legal system" that is "by no means a coincidence." The character that is identified as Saint John the beloved disciple, whom Christ, while He was on the cross, gave the safekeeping of His mother is not John at all. It is unquestionably a woman that was likely intended by the artist to represent Mary Magdalene. It was like a bombshell waiting from A.D. 1498 to A.D. 2006 to be exploited by an antichrist writer. The picture itself is blasphemous and a disgrace to the church world. The more a person reads about Leonardo da Vinci the more he sees the sinister dimensions. March 28, 2007 - David Cloud - www.wayoflife.org - The following is excerpted from our book The Bible Version Question-Answer Database: Answering the Myths Promoted by Modern Version Defenders, copyright 2005, available from Way of Life Literature: The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in eleven caves near Khirbet (meaning ruins) Qumran by the northwest shore of the Dead Sea in the 1940s and 1950s. They were deposited there in earthen jars and survived through the centuries because of the dry climate of that region and the remoteness and difficult accessibility of the caves. As of 2004, there were 13 theories about who lived nearby and who deposited the manuscripts. One prominent theory is that the scrolls were owned by a Jewish cult called the Essenes who lived in the nearby community. The manuscripts were probably stored in haste as the community fled the approaching Roman Army, which was in Judea to put down the Jewish revolt between A.D. 66-70. Approximately 930 different original manuscripts have been identified (representing copies of roughly 350 titles), but most have survived only in fragments. In fact only about 12 scrolls are more or less intact; the others were discovered in some 25,000 fragments. Most of the scrolls are in Hebrew, but about 25% are in Arabic and a few are in Greek. In the early 1950s the ruins of Qumran, located near the caves, was excavated and the remnant of an Essenes community was discovered. Lydia Playfoot, 16, will argue that the school is being discriminatory because it allows pupils from other faiths to wear religious adornments. Muslim and Sikh pupils at her all-girls secondary school in West Sussex are allowed to wear headscarves, trousers and kara bracelets. The case of the teenager, who attends Millais school in Horsham, has the support of the Lawyers Christian Fellowship - an organisation that represents 2,000 Christian lawyers from across the UK. Its public policy officer, Andrea Williams, said today: “This case is about Lydia’s freedom of expression of her religious beliefs. It’s about equality and about creating a level playing field as Muslim and Sikh pupils are allowed to manifest their faith through religious ornaments and she has been prohibited.” The case is expected to go before the high court before the summer recess. The case has been in the legal pipeline for two years after Lydia was first banned from wearing the chastity ring, which has an inscription from the Bible, when she was 14. Her father, Philip Playfoot, a full-time minister at the non-denominational King’s church in Horsham, and her mother, Heather, support their daughter’s legal challenge. Today her mother told EducationGuardian.co.uk: “Lydia has been wearing the ring since she was 14 as part of her chastity commitment.” She explained the ring was a symbol of her daughter’s Christian belief to remain celibate until marriage and to remain faithful after marriage. Masonic writers have frequently denied Christ's deity in favor of Masonry's vague and general idea of God. Masonic writer J.D. They said they gave out another 150,000 across the U.S. and Canada - about a half-million altogether. Hundreds of volunteers placed the discs, which feature a picture of the church founder Joseph Smith and the Salt Lake temple, on doorknobs in a white plastic bag that said, “Good News for LDS.” Others handed out the bags after Monday night’s Jazz game in downtown Salt Lake City. Some confused it with the LDS Church’s own promotional material rather than seeing the DVD as a critique of Mormon beliefs. Such confusion was part of the plan hatched by a group of Christians in 2005, said Chip Thompson, director of Tri-Grace Ministries in Ephraim, who helped with the distribution. He would not say who funded the project, only that it was written and produced by LaBarge Media near Rochester, N.Y. “What inspired this was all the hype surrounding the celebration of Joseph Smith’s 200th birthday,” Thompson said Tuesday. “A lot of us viewed the information put out by the church as being pretty incorrect and only part of the story. The other parts were not being told at all.” Thompson and other critics of the LDS Church decided to produce a professionally crafted tell-all film, to lay out their concerns about Mormonism - including Smith’s claims about the Book of Mormon and other sacred Mormon texts and his involvement with polygamy. Mormons do not like it when their Church is labeled a cult by Christians. This bothers them and they want desperately to be accepted as Christian by the Christian community. The Mormon church spends a great deal of time and money on public relations with the aim of portraying a loving, family oriented, non-condemning Christian denomination. But Christians react to this and cite the great differences in doctrine between Mormons and Christians and continue to pronounce the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a non-Christian cult. The battle continues and Mormons try to claim that they do not go around condemning other religions like "anti-Mormons" do. They say they are forgiving, tolerant, good Christian people who don't have anything against anyone. They claim they are being more Christ-like. Their desire for a good image is understandable. But the question remains. Does the Mormon church condemn other religious systems? The answer is definitely, "Yes." Let's look at Mormon writers and see what they have said. Joseph Smith said . . . Care Facility Will Electronically Tag Alzheimer's Patients Despite Protests Some are protesting an elder care facility's plan to implant electronic chips into the arms of Alzheimer's patients that would link to their medical records. (Katherine Albrecht) By JOSEPH BROWNSTEIN ABC News Medical Unit - May 18, 2007 A Florida adult-care facility is going ahead with plans to implant identity chips into patients with Alzheimer's disease who are in its care, despite protests that it is a form of branding. Alzheimer's Community Care in West Palm Beach will implant a radio frequency identification chip into Alzheimer's patients with the consent of their families or the patients themselves if they are deemed competent. When Informed Consent Is Impossible The chip, which is slightly larger than a grain of rice, is implanted under the skin of the right forearm. Each chip will contain a unique 16-digit number that, when scanned in an emergency room, will link to the patient's medical records. Mary Barnes, the president and CEO of Alzheimer's Community Care, said the RFID chips, manufactured by VeriChip Corp., provided the best means of giving medical personnel access to a patient's medical history, since people with Alzheimer's often cannot relay that information themselves. "Our patients are the most fragile and vulnerable of any population," Barnes said. While the RFID implants have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, VeriChip is testing the effectiveness of the chips in a real-world situation to see if Alzheimer's patients with the chip receive "quicker and better treatment" than those without, said VeriChip CEO Scott Silverman. Safety and Consent Questions Opponents of the chip program say it raises serious ethical considerations. "This whole medical trial … really raises some pretty important issues about informed consent," said Katherine Albrecht, the founder of the advocacy group Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering. Albrecht is concerned that Alzheimer's patients are being enrolled in what she considers a potentially risky study without their consent. It is a 35-page booklet printed by the United States Arms Control and Disarmament Agency as Publication No. 4 - General Series 3 - Released May of 1962. Publication No. 4 is the unabridged version of State Department Document 7277. Both of these booklets explain how our military is to be reduced to 2.1 million men. China and the Soviets are to be reduced to that level also. At this point, we are at Stage I at which time we are to transfer (on a permanent basis) one-half of our armed forces to be merged with the Russian and Chinese armies. In Stage II, the remaining one-half of our armed forces is then turned over to this same Security Council of the United Nations. The person in charge of the merged armies must, by agreement, always be a Russian. The world's smaller nations turn 100% of their armies over to the same under-secretary of the Security, Council in Stage II. President George Bush and Admiral Wm. J. Crowe [have referred] to this process as being "in transition." TURN TO PAGE 655. On this page in Volume 9 of the United States Code, read "Policy Formation." The directives there (written in 1963 to pacify objectors) are supposedly to restrain anyone from disarmament, reducing or limiting our armaments, or taking guns away from the people unless it is pursuant to the treaty-making power of the president, or if it is authorized by further legislation by the Congress. (This is title 22, Section 2573.) Every couple of years the House of Representatives votes to appropriate funds for this on-going program. Since P.L. 87-297 was first passed into law in 961, there have been 18 updates to it - all bad - with no deletions of these issues I lay before you now. The Congress knows that the plan includes the policing of the United States by foreign troops. (The world army they are forming in Europe.) The Congress is allowing our military bases to be closed down, except for those that will be used by the world army. You will find that plan in Publication 7277 and in "The Blueprint for the Peace Race." If the president and Congress can promote a "Constitutional Convention" you will find yourself with two new constitutions (communist in structure) which in one states in Article VIII, Section 12: "No person shall bear arms or possess lethal weapons except the police and members of the armed forces...." The Congress has praised these documents and is on record in Senate hearings seeking ways to install these constitutions. Ask your librarian for "Revision of the United Nations Charter - Hearings Before a Subcommittee (Foreign Relations) Feb. 2-20, 1950 U.S.Government Printing Office." Nothing has changed since. They are still viable. The ultimate goal to be reached in Stage III of the disarmament process is to "proceed to a point where no state [nation] would have the military power to challenge the progressively strengthened U.N. Peace Force...." Anyone who doubts the truthfulness of what has been presented here is free to go to the library and go through the steps which have been outlined above.
