The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church which doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word of God has undergone many changes to fit the present mode. The Bible calls for a falling away from the truth before Jesus comes back for His Bride, the true believers are called 'Ekklesia.' The second section is about globalism where we bring your attention to the social, political and global trend, so called democratizing what is left. (Romans 6:23) Click on this link and see if you will be able to take advantage of this gift.. ----- HOW TO KNOW IT'S GOD When you commit yourself to the Lord and to an intimate relationship with Him, He will begin to reveal Himself to you in ways you never noticed before. Salvation or eternal life is only found in an intimate, experiential relationship with God. So, you must learn in time, by experience, to know Him (John 17:3). God’s purpose is to reveal Himself to you in an on-going relationship as you “work out your own salvation” (Philippians 2:12-13), so you can learn to understand and recognize Him. And while He’s revealing Himself to you, He’s using all sorts of creative situations to conform you to the image of His Son (Romans 8:28-29). But, if you’re not careful, you can easily miss God. The reason is, when God reveals Himself, it is not usually in ways the world would understand. This can bring us to a crisis point, as we compare what God may be doing to what we know is the conventional wisdom of the world. God will not work according to the wisdom of this world. In fact, He will usually do just the opposite. The key to knowing whether it’s God or not is found in this paraphrase of I Corinthians 1:18-21: “The lesson that must be learned in our suffering with Christ is that, even though it looks foolish to those who are perishing without God, it is (in reality) the continual revelation of the power of God to us who are being saved. Remember what Isaiah said, ‘God will turn conventional wisdom upside down. The time will come when the so-called experts will be the ones who look foolish.’ So, where does that put the one who thinks he’s wise, or the well educated, or the one who understands the ways of the world? Isn’t God going to expose all of this pretentious nonsense? The world never had a clue when it came to knowing and understanding God. That’s why He likes to use the things that the world thinks are stupid or wrong or even unpleasant, to guide those who trust in Him on their way to salvation.” For those of us who are learning to know God, we must not look at things with the eyes of our flesh or human understanding. We must learn to see with spiritual eyes, if we expect to see God. So, when you look at your circumstances: - If it looks totally impossible (it’s probably God) - If it’s going to cost you something you think you can’t afford (more than likely, it’s God) - If it’s something unpleasant that you would rather avoid if you could (you can be pretty sure that it’s God) - If it’s opposite conventional, worldly wisdom (that sounds like it might be God) - If it’s going to make you trust God and stretch your faith (that’s God) - If it’s something that makes you aware of your own weaknesses or faults (it’s God) - If it gives you the opportunity to humble yourself (it’s definitely God) - If it’s taking longer than you think it should (there’s a good chance it’s God) - If it makes you look foolish to those who don’t know God (it’s God, again) - If it makes you look like a failure to those who think they really know God (it’s probably God) - If it makes your heart ache and makes you cry out to God for help (God’s at work, like it or not) - If you don’t understand it, don’t know what it’s going to take to fix it, or don’t have a clue what to do about it (look ..for God, that’s probably Him too!) Having a real relationship with God is an exciting adventure. It’s unpredictable because it will usually contradict anything we know or can reason in our mind. God wants to teach us to trust Him, and the only way we can learn to do that is to submit to Him and hang on! But understand this, the journey will take you places you don’t want to go, force you to do things you don’t want to do, cause you to feel things you never wanted to feel and know things about yourself that you never wanted to know. If you submit yourself to God, He will begin to tear you down, so He can rebuild you in the image of His Son. The tearing down and rebuilding process will be exciting, perplexing, excruciating, joyful, fulfilling and depressing. And many times you won’t understand it – except when you’re able to look back and see what God did and know how you changed! By Stella Paterson - When God created man, He breathed His own breath into this magnificent masterpiece and equipped him with incredible capabilities. But God's thoughts were on the eternal. He set in place a pattern, for man's good, to keep man mindful of his Creator. The most vital of all patterns was that of marriage. In the beginning all was perfect. The communion between the Creator and Adam and Eve must have been beyond comprehension. One can only imagine the pure interaction between God and man. It had to have been nothing short of blissful euphoria! The Spirit-to-spirit communication would be on such a level that only 'adams' and their 'eves' can understand as they experience incredible degrees of ecstasy in that spirit-to-spirit connection of the marital relationship. That ecstasy alone should be enough to cause mankind to acknowledge God as 'God.' But does he? During those times of intimacy, ordained for marriage by God Himself, there is a unique sense of incredible oneness. As our wonderful Creator said, "they shall be one flesh." (Genesis 2:24b) God had created both male and female as one, taking Eve out of Adam's side and giving her back to him to be his wife. Out of Jesus' side poured water and blood. 1 And now His Bride, born of water and the Spirit 2 and cleansed by His blood, is given back to Him. She is the wife of the 'last Adam.' 3...Rather than knowing God's desire for intimacy, man is taken up with himself and he offers to God mere tokens: all in the name of serving Him. (1 John 19.34; 2. It is a record of God’s dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains, as does the Bible, the fulness of the everlasting gospel.” - From the introduction page of The Book of Mormon, Latter-day Saints who challenge the video The Bible vs. The Book of Mormon frequently ask us, "Why do you have to say The Bible versus The Book of Mormon?" What typically follows are statements like the following: "The Bible and the Book of Mormon are companion volumes." "They compliment one another." "They both teach of Jesus Christ." "They go hand-in-hand." "They don't conflict with one another." Comparable to the Bible? Mormonism has historically taught that the Bible is [misinterpreted] and unreliable, and needed restoration. Article of Faith #8 states: "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God." Sounds innocent enough, but that little qualifier, as far as it is translated correctly, gives room for a host of damaging beliefs about the trustworthiness of the Bible. For example: "...who, in his right mind, could for one moment, suppose the Bible in its present form to be a perfect guide? No one can tell whether even one verse of either the Old or New Testament conveys the ideas of the original author" (Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 28). "I believe the Bible as it read when it came from the pen of the original writers. Ignorant translators, careless transcribers, or designing and corrupt priests have committed many errors" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 327) "The Bible has been robbed of its plainness; many sacred books having been lost, others rejected by the Romish Church, and what few we have left, were copied and re-copied so many times, that it is admitted that almost every verse has been corrupted and mutilated to that degree that scarcely any two of them read alike." Colorado City resident Vergel Jessop will also have to register as a sex offender during his probation. The judge in Mohave County spared him additional jail time Friday because his wife has significant medical problems, county prosecutors said. Jessop, 47, had been charged in August 2005 with sexual conduct with a minor and conspiracy to commit sexual conduct with a minor. He pleaded no contest to the lesser charge in December. Jessop’s sentencing was the sixth of eight cases involving members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be concluded. All eight were charged with crimes related to their underaged plural wives. Dale Barlow is set to be sentenced in June for his no contest plea to conspiracy to commit sexual conduct with a minor. The last defendant, Rodney Holm, is set for trial in May. Of the remaining members of the polygamous sect originally charged, one was acquitted, charges were dropped against two men, and two others were convicted at trial or pleaded guilty. The leader of the FLDS, Warren Jeffs, is being held in Utah on two counts of rape by accomplice and faces life terms in prison if convicted. In Arizona, he faces sexual misconduct charges which carry lesser penalties. As of this writing, he has yet to make formal his candidacy, but it seems pretty certain that he will soon do so. Knowing he will need the votes of conservative Christians, Romney has been making the rounds and with evangelical leaders. However, he is keenly aware that his Mormonism will likely cause a major concern among Christian voters, so he has been careful to downplay his religious faith when speaking publicly. For the past several months I have been giving Romney's presidential bid some serious reflection, and as you can imagine, I have several concerns. I have listened intently to Christian men whom I admire who have addressed this issue, and I agree when they say that Christians need to carefully think through the short-term and long-term effects. A key figure in trying to get Christians behind Romney is Mutch Davis, a Mormon filmmaker who plans to produce a documentary titled "Could a Mormon be President?" Davis has not hidden the fact that he feels that a Mormon like Romney in the White House would be good for both the country and the Mormon Church. In an interview with Meridian Magazine, a pro-LDS website, Davis discussed his strategy. "Our biggest concern will be finding a way to address the issue of anti-Mormonism without fanning those same flames. The last thing any Evangelical Christians want is to feel that by voting for Mitt Romney, they are voting for or promoting Mormonism." Mich Davis. Some of his comments were in a very enlightening context. Davis may successfully convince some Christians on some issues, but there are many more that will invariably surface when Romney faces the microphones of journalists who staunchly disagree with his politics. So far Romney has evaded many of these questions, but what will he (or Davis) say when journalists start demanding that Romney explain the bizarre LDS doctrines that are very much a part of modernday Mormonism? Both men are almost sure to go into spin mode since being frank about such matters will almost ensure political defeat. The first debate in California caught the majority vote from journalists who attended this event because he is very handsome. Little is known about the Mormon religion until recently public television gave two evenings to the religion. No doubt it was to capture the public's sentiment because of their unwavering faith in their belief. It was very well done and covered even their history of murdering their own members for betraying their oaths. I didn't see the whole program but doubt very much that they admitted to being Freemasons. They don't even admit it to themselves. Mormons are very worried about the Constitution and you'll find in their literature that they are determined to keep the Constitution in tact so they can continue to practice their secrets in the Temples. This will of course be a drawing card for patriots. Freemasons were burned at the stake and incarcerated for life in Europe by the Papacy between the years 1200 - 1600. Some believe that Martin Luther was a Mason which I don't believe because he was instrumental in closing down Lodges. Joseph Smith ran for president and didn't make it. Like Bill McKeever, I'm worried about the impact this election will have on Christians. Mormons would like nothing better than to be accepted as full fledged Christians and Americans have a tendency to vote for the underdog. Romney is certainly under attack, especially by blacks, because the Mormons did not allow blacks to hold the priesthood until it became illegal to discriminate. We have Mormons in high places. Today Glenn Beck, who is a strong political voice / commentator revealed that he is a Mormon. I wondered about the "G" that he uses in his advertising whether it might be the Masonic "G". He had rounds with Al Sharpton. Sharpton, when asked if he thought Mormons are Christians, said that they are. Here we go. These people have an influence on the church. One more thing about Mitt Romney that I thought was very interesting. He was asked what his favorite book is? I was shocked when he said, that he likes the author L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of Dianetics and Scientology. Mormonism is a New Age religion. They believe what is taught in Hermetic occult philosophy which lines up with Ron Hubbard's philosophy. But the title of this series is a bit misleading - Jeremiah isn't just talking about Jesus; he is discussing a book called The Barbarian Way. The book is written by Erwin McManus, who is pastor of Mosaic Church in California. In Friday's email, Jeremiah stated: "This weekend, I will be sharing the second message in our Fall Journey With Jesus. The title of the message is "The Manliness of Jesus." I am praying that it will fire you up as much as it has me. It's a major paradigm shift from our normal thoughts about Jesus. This week, I have read a book by Erwin McManus called THE BARBARIAN WAY. In it, he says something that should prepare our hearts for the weekend message." While the quote from the book is benign, the book is not, and if any mention of the book is made by Jeremiah, it should be one of warning. If you have been following Jeremiah's slip toward what we might call contemplative /emerging Christianity, his promotion of McManus' book probably won't be too surprising. Last year, we mentioned on a radio program that Jeremiah was going to be speaking at the Lead Like Jesus conference with Ken Blanchard (whose conference it was). Shortly after this airing, Jeremiah pulled out of the conference and then Blanchard canceled the conference all together. Jeremiah then wrote a letter to Lighthouse Trails and made it public. He defended Ken Blanchard who had been and still is promoting the New Age, particularly New Age mysticism. After researching Jeremiah's 2003/2005 book, Life Wide Open, it made a little more sense why he would have no trouble with Blanchard's New Age proclivities. He said this in the context of being asked what he thinks of Dave Hunt, the author of the 550-page book "A Woman Rides the Beast: The Roman Catholic Church and the Last Days" (Harvest House Publishers, 1994). Hunt replied to this as follows in the April 2007 issue of The Berean Call: "Whenever Hank is asked about me, this is his standard response. It is slanderous. One of the dead men was of German origin, the local governor said. Two other men were taken to hospital, one with knife wounds to his throat, back and stomach, the other with a head injury after jumping from a third-floor window to escape. The hospital in the town of Malatya said that both were in a critical condition. Police have detained four men for the attack, which took place in the early afternoon. Television footage showed a policeman tackling one man while another man covered in blood was carried to an ambulance on a stretcher. The killings came less than three months after the murder of a prominent Armenian journalist. The Zirve publishing house, which the Turkish media says is owned by two South Africans, Gert Martinus de Lange and Stephen Smithdorf, had been the target of nationalist protests for allegedly distributing Bibles and proselytising. Halil Ibrahim Dasoz, the Governor of Malatya, said the authorities were also investigating possible Islamist links, because the method of killing was reminiscent of attacks by the Turkish arm of the militant Islamist group Hezbollah. Martin de Langue, a former official, reportedly said two years ago that the public in Malatya was being provoked against Christians and foreigners. The European Commission has condemned the attack as “horrendous”. The EC has long called on Turkey to offer better protection and rights for its minorities. California beekeeper David Bradshaw said he's trying not to dwell on the fact that half his bees are gone. "I'd be an emotional mess if I just kept thinking about the bees dying," he told CTV News. Experts gathered in Washington Thursday at a House Agriculture Subcommittee, describing the mysterious threat as "Colony Collapse Disorder" (CCD). The remains of dead bees usually remain inside a hive, unless worker bees carry their bodies them out. But colonies affected by CCD show no signs of the ailment, aside from a notable absence of mature bees. It's possible the affected bees abandon the hive before dying, but scientists have yet to understand why or how. In the past six months, U.S. beekeepers estimate they have lost between 50 and 90 per cent of their honeybees. One colony can have 60,000 bees in the summer, and that number drops to about 20,000 in the winter. The condition of Canada's bees is not fully known, but the U.S. Congress was told it's likely Canadian hives likely share a similar fate. "Recently, we have reports out of Canada that they have the exact same symptoms and collapses ongoing there," said Diana Cox-Foster, a professor of entomology with the Pennsylvania State University. Not only are bees crucial to the agriculture industry in the production of honey, they also work as pollinators. May 4, 2007 - by Paul Gallagher - The Spring months are likely to see extremely large securities losses breaking out in "mortgage-backed securities" (MBS) which have been the international banks' essential tool in creating the now-exploding U.S. and other housing bubbles. These losses, which various investment bank reports are now estimating at up to $100 billion, may, in fact, become much larger than that, as the fall in home prices accelerates. They will hit those banks, and commercial banks as well, exposing how worthless are the large part of their assets which are based on the mortgage bubbles. Since 2005, two-thirds of all mortgages have been "securitized"—sold by the lending companies to investment banks, which in turn package and sell them as high-profit securities, building a huge mortgage bubble over $15 trillion. In 2006, one-quarter of all the U.S. banking system's $12 trillion in assets were based on residential real-estate mortgages and residential MBS, the bubble which is now blowing out. House and Senate hearings and emergency Federal regulators' meetings in the third week of April, showed that while, on the one hand, Congressional committees are slowly working toward legislation that could rein in and force a writedown of the $6 trillion-plus MBS; on the other hand, the Federal Reserve and accomplices are moving for a rapid bailout of the same banks and financial corporations, using huge amounts of Federal credit. Unless the banks, their hedge funds, and other financial corporations are made to write down and reorganize their books full of these bankrupt assets, any Federal attempt to intervene in the worsening mortgage foreclosure crisis, with new Federal (or state) mortgage credit, will throw hundreds of billions down a bailout hole, without stopping the mortgage bubble collapse. If that writedown and reorganization is forced on the banks and MBS market players, the collapsed bubble of housing-financial assets can be replaced by new Federal credit for modern infrastructure and for new housing... These losses are broadly hidden because securitization has completely atomized much of the $16 trillion of U.S. mortgage debt - it is extremely difficult to determine who owns it! - and because the only real "regulators" of the MBS markets are the credit rating agencies like Moody's and Standard and Poor's.... Chavez said he wanted to formalize Venezuela's exit from the two bodies "tonight and ask them to return what they owe us." Venezuela recently repaid its debts to the World Bank five years ahead of schedule, saving $8 million. It paid off all its debts to the IMF shortly after Chavez first took office in 1999. The IMF closed its offices in Venezuela late last year. Chavez made the announcement a day after telling a meeting of allied leaders that Latin America overall would be better off without the U.S.-backed World Bank or IMF. He has often blamed their lending policies for perpetuating poverty. Senator Randel Christmann introduced the bill earlier this year (see North Dakota RFID-Implant Bill Sent to Governor). Wisconsin passed a similar law last year (see Wisconsin Governor Signs 'Chip Implant' Bill), and the California legislature is currently considering the same ban. Additionally, the California Senate approved Senate Bill 29 this week, which would prohibit California public schools, school districts and county education offices from issuing any device to a pupil that uses radio waves to transmit personal information, or to enable personal information to be viewed remotely to track attendance. Currently, RFID chips are used in certain point-of-sale devices, such as ExxonMobil's EasyPass, tollway passes, and building access cards that many employers issue. Retailers use RFID to track shipping pallets and containers. RFID chips to date have not been incorporated into packaging on any widespread basis. The only exception is in the pharmaceutical industry, which uses RFID to keep counterfeit prescription drugs out of the supply chain. .... The New Hampshire bill also would prohibit forced implantation of an RFID chip in a person. Police would have to obtain a court order to use RFID to track an individual electronically. The bill itself, like at least 17 others that have been introduced in state houses around the country, reflects the two sides of the RFID coin, commercial and government. The woman said "Hey, this is Karen. Sorry I missed you--get back to us quickly. I Have something important to tell you." Then she repeated a phone number beginning with 809 . "We didn't respond".. this week, we received the following e-mail: Subject: DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809 , 284 AND 876 - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION PROVIDED TO US BY AT&T. DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809 Be sure you read this and pass it on. They get you to call by telling you that it is information about a family member who has been ill or to tell you someone has-been arrested, died, or to let you know you have won a wonderful prize, etc. In each case, you are told to call the 809 number right away. Since there are so many new area codes these days, people unknowingly return these calls. If you call from the US , you will apparently be charged $2425 per-minute. Or, you'll get a long recorded message. The point is, they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to increase the charges. Unfortunately, when you get your phone bill, you'll often be charged more than $24,100.00. WHY IT WORKS: The 809 area code is located in the British Virgin Islands (The Bahamas). The charges afterwards can become a real nightmare. That's because you did actually make the call. If you complain, both your local phone company and your long distance carrier will not want to get involved and will most likely tell you that they are simply providing the billing for the foreign company. You'll end up dealing with a foreign company that argues they have done nothing wrong.
