- FACTS ABOUT THE PRESENT KJV BIBLE:
The first revision was in 1629 by Samuel Ward and John Bois,
who had worked on the original translation. The second was in
1638 by the Cambridge University Press. The third was in 1762
by Dr. Thomas Paris of Trinity College, Cambridge. The fourth
was in 1769 by Dr. Benjamin Blayney. Dr. Donald Waite of Bible
for Today ministry, is authoritative. He compared every word
with the 1611 KJV. Out of the 791,328 words.
- Just 421 were corrected. Dr Waite stated: "There were
ONLY 136 SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES that were different words. The others
were only 285 MINOR CHANGES OF FORM ONLY. Of these 285 MINOR
CHANGES, there are 214 VERY MINOR CHANGES such as 'towards' for
'toward'; 'burnt' for 'burned'; 'amongst' for 'among'; 'lift'
for 'lifted'; and 'you' for 'ye.' These kinds of changes represent
214 out of the 285 minor changes of form only. ( Source: Way

WHAT ARE GOD'S EXPECTATIONS FROM BELIEVERS:
"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence,
and covetousness, which is idolattry: For which things' sake
the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobendience: In
the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But
now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy,
filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another,
seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds: And have
put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image
of him that created him..
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels
of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering:
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man
have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also
do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the
bond of perfectness.
And let the peace of God rule your hearts, to the which also
ye were called in one body and be ye thankful. LET THE WORD DWELL
IN YOU RICHLY in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another
in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in
your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and
the Father by him. " (Collossians 3:5-..17)
The two commandments that Jesus taught are in action now:
Matthew 22:37 "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This
is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto
it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.. On these two commandments
hang all the law and the prophets." which means: if you
do these two commandments you will automatically cover all else.
Jesus also said that we will have the poor with us (in spite
of what we try to do for them). He also said if we want to be
religious we should take care of widows with children who have
no provider.
- This new trend of using Christians to solve all the social
needs is not in the Bible. In fact to participate would have
the tendency to take up our time that we should spend in the
Word of God and teaching it to others. That is what God is interested
in. If people are taught correctly their lives will tend to be
full of blessings from the Lord. Cephas Ministry.
- LUTHERAN LEADER CRITICISES PRESIDENT BUSH'S TALK OF 'EVIL
AXIS'.
New York (ENI). Christian Krause, the president of the Lutheran
World Federation has strongly criticised US President George
Bush's recent remarks describing Iran, Iraq and North Korea as
an "axis of evil". Krause told ENI in a 19 March interview
that he "deplored" such statements, which in effect
"were holding whole nations to ransom". President Bush,
he said, should pursue the US war on terrorism "with care"
and not compromise what Krause called one of the principal achievements
of western societies - the protection of human rights and liberty.

TWO DAMNABLE HERESIES ARE TAUGHT HERE
"The Last Battle," from the chapter "Further up
and Further in." Lewis is teaching damnable false doctrine
here, and it is even more wicked, in that it is intended for
the indoctrination of children.
First, according to Lewis, those who sincerely serve the devil
(Tash) are actually serving God (Aslan) and will eventually be
accepted by God. That is the heresy of universalism, and many
hold to this false doctrine, believing that God will somehow
receive unbelievers and followers of false religions into Heaven
even though they do not know Jesus Christ in this life.
When I interviewed the head of the New Testament department
at Serampore University (founded by William Carey in India) years
ago, he told me the same thing. I asked him whether the Hindus
will be accepted by God if they are sincere in their religion,
and he replied, "Certainly."
Well, the Bible says certainly not! Ephesians chapter two
tells us the condition of every person outside of regenerating
faith in Jesus Christ. He is dead in trespasses and sins (v.
1), controlled by and living according to the working of the
devil (v. 2), a child of disobedience (v. 2), dominated by the
flesh (v. 3), by nature the child of wrath (v. 3), without Christ
(v. 12), an alien and stranger from the covenant of God (v. 12),
without hope (v. 12), WITHOUT GOD IN THE WORLD (v. 12), far off
from God (v. 13).
In fact, the Lord Jesus Christ had already settled this matter
long before the penning of Ephesians. In His conversation with
Nicodemus, the Lord Jesus said categorically, "Except a
man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John
3:3). Nicodemus was a very sincere and religious Jew, and if
any category of person could have gone to heaven without being
born again, it would have been people like him. Jesus Christ
said that it will not happen.
Furthermore, Lewis is teaching that salvation can be achieved
by works and religious seeking, and that is a false gospel that
is cursed of God in the book of Galatians.

TOP RELIGIOUS LEADERS UNITE TO BUILD 'HARMONIOUS'
EUROPE
Oxford (ENI). Senior leaders of Europe's Christian, Jewish and
Muslim faiths have set up an inter-religious council to work
for peace and promote collaboration among religious communities.
The European Religious Leaders Council intends to co-operate
with political decision-makers on a continent that is becoming
increasingly multi-religious and multicultural. "We aim
to build a harmonious, cohesive Europe and to ensure that all
faiths exert an appropriate influence," said Jehangir Sarosh,
a British-based member of the council's executive committee,
calling the council "the first advisory body of its kind".

PROOF THAT THE CHURCH IS HEAVILY INVOLVED
IN SOCIAL ISSUES
U.S. religious leaders call for alternative to Bush's environment
proposal New York More than 1200 religious leaders in the United
States have taken issue with key environmental policies announced
by the Bush administration and have signed a declaration opposing
a new U.S. global warming proposal. Called "An Interfaith
Call for Energy Conservation and Climate Justice", the declaration
offers an alternative to an environment proposal announced by
President George Bush in February. Bush's plan rejects the 1997
Kyoto treaty, which sets international standards for reducing
atmospheric gases that many scientists believe cause global warming.

- THE WORLD HAS ENTERED THE CHURCH.
Humility and fear of the Lord seem to be totally lacking in the
"SHAKING" which is idolized in many churches in the
21st Century. What has happened to "Serving the Lord with
all humility of mind"? (Acts 20:19) and "If ye then
be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where
Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on
things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and
your life is hid with Christ in God." (Colossians 3:1-3)
"THE "SHAKING" IS CONFIRMATION
THAT GOD IS LAUNCHING YOU!"
William C. Yount - Hagerstown, MD Wednesday, March 13, 2002 I
heard the Lord say, "I am about to push the launching pad
button for many who have been crying out to Me to go higher in
their calling.. their calling to know Me. Tell My people to buckle
their seatbelts. For it is "T minus 10 and counting."
AS GOD'S FINGER PUSHED THE BUTTON .
As God's finger pushed the launching pad button, immediately
a great shaking began taking place in these peoples' lives. This
tremendous shaking caused many to wonder if there had been a
major malfunction on the launching pad, causing their "higher
calling" to be seemingly aborted. Many were convinced that
this turbulence was from the enemy. I then heard a voice from
"Heaven's Mission Control Center." -
- "THAT WAS JUST THE IGNITION SWITCH. DO NOT FEAR THE
SHAKING. THE "SHAKING"
- IS CONFIRMATION THAT I AM LAUNCHING YOU!"
- THE FIRE WILL TAKE YOU HIGHER
Simultaneously flames of fire ignited beneath us. The Lord spoke,
"It's the fire that will take you higher." The "fire
of the Spirit" began burning up those things that had kept
us on the launching pad and held us back all our lives. Through
this terrible shaking and testing through fire we had come to
know something greater than our calling - the ONE who has called
us! The more we knew Him the higher He took us. Like a "Chariot
of Fire" we ascended upward penetrating through the very
heavenlies - breaking through barriers of international proportion.
I saw a mantle of unprecedented Evangelism falling to the earth.
It seemed to slip right off the Father's Throne Room. It was
big enough for the whole earth to wrap itself twice in. The Glory
of the Lord began covering the earth.

DIRECTIONS TO HEAVEN:
1. First of all, WHOSOEVER will, must make a U-turn on the "Road
of Repentance." 2. Then make a Right onto "Believeth
Blvd." 3. Keep Straight and go through the Green Light which
is Jesus Christ. 4. From there, you must turn onto the "Bridge
of Faith," which is over troubled water. 5. When you get
off the bridge, make a Right turn and Keep Straight. You are
on the "King's Highway" - Heaven-bound! 6. Keep going
for three miles: One for the Father, One for the Son, and One
for the Holy Ghost. 7. Then exit off onto "Grace Blvd."
From there, make a Right turn on" Gospel Lane." 8.
Keep Straight and then make another RIGHT on "Prayer Blvd."
9. As you go on your way, yield not to the traffic on "Temptation
Ave." Also, avoid "SIN STREET" because it is a
DEAD END. Pass up "Envy Drive,"and "Hate Avenue."
Also, pass "Hypocrisy Street," "Gossiping Lane"
and "Backbiting Blvd." 10. But you have to go down
"Long suffering Lane," "Persecution Blvd.,"
and "Trials and Tribulations Avenue." 11. From there,
make another Right onto "Peace Street." Keep Straight
and you will come to the parking lot of "Immortality."
It's alright to park there. Author Unknown

WOULD THE FUNDAMENTALIST DESTROY THE WORLD
IF THEY COULD? ARE THEY, IN FACT,
- INSANE? GLOBAL VISION CORPORATION STATED:
- "Fundamentalism is nothing new, but it is lately attracting
so many adherents that it has become a global issue. Consider
the Christian variety. In the USA, for example, Presidents Reagan
and Bush would not have been elected without the backing of the
Christian fundamentalist voting block; their advocates now sit
on most school boards, where they censor the curriculum and oblige
educational textbook publishers to re-write schoolbooks in order
to avoid blacklisting and economic boycott...
Apart from the threats to democracy, freedom of speech, civil
liberties, and women's rights, there is a growing risk that fundamentalist
groups may obtain sufficient quantities of plutonium, chemical
or biological weapons to inflict far more serious damage. Pakistan
and India now have nuclear weapons, and both have very powerful
nationalistic constituencies.
Would the fundamentalists destroy the world if they could?
Are they, in fact, insane?
According to the World Health Organisation, the "acute
schizophrenic break syndrome" (the most common form of "madness")
currently affects about 60 million people around the world (i.e.
one percent of the world population). Schizophrenia is itself
a very controversial subject. The psychiatric establishment sees
it as a brain disease "caused" by a chemical imbalance
or a genetic defect, requiring life-long medication (and enormous
revenues for the pharmaceutical industry).
- But practising Christians, Muslims and Jews who take their
religious metaphors literally are prone to project their premonition
of Apocalypse as an external historical event scheduled, according

WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES FRETS OVER U.S.
REACTION TO SEPTEMBER 11
Erik Nelson December 14, 2001 - The discussion covered issues
such as global security, human rights, the global economy, and
humanitarian concerns. It was clear, however, that the group
was more interested in talking about the sins of the United States

POPE CALLS U.S. CARDINALS TO ROME
(CNSNews.com) - 4.15.02 - Pope John Paul II has ordered all U.S.
Cardinals to Rome for an impromptu meeting to discuss the sexual
abuse scandal that has rocked the Catholic Church. The Vatican
said the meeting will likely take place next week. According
to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, there are 13 U.S.
cardinals. Eight of them head the archdioceses in Baltimore,
Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia
and Washington. Three U.S. cardinals do not head dioceses, and
two are retired. "The Holy See's desire [is] to listen and
to support our efforts to respond effectively to the concerns
we share with our people," said U.S. Conference President
Wilton D. Gregory, who met with the pope and various church leaders
in Rome Saturday. Gregory told them the scandal was the topic
of "considerable discussion." He said there was no
mention of Cardinal Law of Boston, who has been criticized for
knowingly transferring a priest to another parish, even though
he was accused of sexual misconduct. http://www.cnsnews.com/ThisHour.asp#Pope

Sex abuse, women in the priesthood, screening of gay candidates
for the priesthood, celibacy are at the top of discussion list
in Rome at the Vatican. Cardinal J. Francis Stafford, an American
who heads the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Laity, gave a
preview of the agenda as U.S. cardinals prepared to travel to
Rome. Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles stopped short of saying
he favored changes in the church. "It's not a panacea that
you have married clergy or women clergy," Mahony said. "At
this point, I'm a proponent of the discussion. I want to hear
a lot more." "We are dealing with an AMERICAN phenomenon
that requires an American response," said Stafford, the
former archbishop of Denver. The reason for the meeting in Rome
are American tort law which mkaes liability much more an issue
and has driven the response in a way that has been difficult
for Europeans to understand. Referring to the Vatican, Stafford
said: "These are men who've lived in a much different tradition."

QUOTES FROM "HOLY LAUGHTER' BY CHARLES

"[They] began to nibble around where the Holy Holy Spirit
was concerned.. sooner or later you're going to get caught! [Kathryn

He did! Faster than you can blink an eye, I was lying on my back

dress. ... All the arguments I previously had about the baptism
with the Holy Spirit and speaking with other tongues disappeared
instantly! (pp. 13,19,20). "We went to a Full Gospel Businessmen's
Fellowship banquet in Houston. ... The man [the speaker] said,
'Well, Jesus, bless Francis!' Down I went faster than you could
blink an eye, followed one second later by my precious husband!

- I tried to get my hands off of the floor, but nothing happened.
I couldn't believe what had happened to me, because it was physically
impossible for me to move. ... I felt as though someone had given
me a divine alka seltzer because way down deep in the very center
of my being I began to feel a most peculiar type of 'bubbling.'
... then it abruptly came out of my mouth in the form of the
loudest laugh I have ever heard. ... no pressure on my mouth
could keep the laughing back. I laughed, laughed, laughed and
laughed. ... I stopped laughing just as quickly as I started,
and suddenly I was released from the bed of Holy Ghost glue in
which I had been resting! (Charles and Frances Hunter, Holy Laughter,

- FORMER ALTAR BOYS GET $119 MILLION IN SEX-ABUSE CASE
Jury says Dallas diocese covered up priest's actions July 24,
1997 DALLAS (CNN) -- Jury says Dallas diocese covered up priest's
actions July 24, 1997. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas has
been ordered to pay $119 million in damages to a group of former
altar boys who say they were sexually abused over a 15-year period
by a priest.
-
- It is believed to be the largest penalty ever imposed on
the Catholic church in a sex abuse case. "It dwarfs anything
else we've every heard of," said Bill Ryan, spokesman for
the U.S. Catholic Conference. Lawyers for the altar boys contended
diocesan officials ignored reports that the Rev. Rudolph Kos
was molesting them, and conspired to cover up the incidents.
"I hope they wake up the pope tonight with this," plaintiffs'
attorney Sylvia Demarest said.
The diocese did not dispute the molestation claims but denied
it was negligent or engaged in a cover-up. After the verdict,
Bishop Charles Grahmann said the diocese likely would appeal.
The state District Court jury awarded about $101 million in compensatory
damages and $18 million in punitive damages to 10 men who say
Kos molested them, as well as to the family of another alleged
victim who committed suicide in 1992. The victims, who range
in age from 18 to their early 30s, hugged each other after the
verdicts were read. Church officials had declined an out-of-court
settlement. After the verdict - in which jurors determined that
the church inflicted emotional distress on the plaintiffs and
committed fraud - one church official, Monsignor John Bell, said,
"This whole process has been significantly humbling."
-
- Kos, 52, was suspended from the priesthood in 1992. He now
lives in San Diego and is awaiting trial on charges of sexual
contact with one child and indecency with another. He did not
attend the trial... The abuse, which included masturbation and
oral sex, was allegedly inflicted on boys as young as 9. Kos'
accusers say he plied them with sedatives, alcohol and marijuana.
Among the alleged victims was Jay Lemberger, who committed suicide
at the age of 20. "My son was murdered by the Dallas diocese,
because they let Rudy Kos into their regime, and they let him
get away with this abuse," said Pat Lemberger, Jay Lemberger's
father.

- L.A. CARDINAL SAYS HE DIDN'T MOLEST STUDENT IN 1969
US & World News - 04/07/02 Kim Baca AP Fresno, Calif. The
head of the nation's largest Roman Catholic archdiocese said
Friday that he has been accused of sexually molesting a high
school student 32 years ago. Contacted yesterday, the woman who
made the allegation offered no details of what she says Cardinal
Roger Mahony of the Los Angeles Archdiocese actually did.
-
- Mahony himself revealed the molestation claim - and strongly
denied it - in a three-page statement. He issued the statement
after a Los Angeles radio station revealed some leaked church
e-mails about abuse cases that refer briefly to the woman's claim.
His statement gave no specifics about what sort of abuse the
woman, Flora Mae Hickman, said had occurred. Hours later, Hickman
said she couldn't recall much of what happened that day in 1969.
-
- Hickman, now 51, said she was knocked unconscious while fighting
with other students at San Joaquin Memorial Catholic High School
in Fresno. She said she woke up, found the "bottom"
part of her clothing missing and saw Mahony, then a monsignor
in Fresno, standing over her... She said she couldn't describe
the incident in more detail, but she insisted: "I'm not
making this up. . . . I did call police when I was out of high
school. They didn't believe me."
-
- When asked for clarification whether she was truly sexually
molested, she answered: "Yes. I'm going to stick with it
and I'm not backing down.".. In his statement, he denied
Hickman's claim and said he had called for church and law-enforcement
officials to investigate.

- PRIEST ACCUSED OF SEX ABUSE IS FOUND DEAD
Crime & Justice News 04/05/02 - Kaye Spector Plain Dealer
Reporter The Rev. Don Rooney didn't show up for an appointment
Wednesday with officials of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese to
talk about a sexual abuse allegation against him.
-
- Yesterday, the 48-year-old priest was found slumped over
the wheel of his car, dead of a gunshot wound to the head that
was apparently self-inflicted. In keeping with its new policy
on openness in the midst of a national sexual abuse scandal,
the diocese last night issued a news release about Rooney's death,
asking for "God's mercy upon Fr. Don and upon all of us."
-
- In an interview later, a diocese spokesman disclosed the
allegations against the priest: A woman told the church on Monday
that in 1980, when she was a child, Rooney sexually abused her.
She said it happened while he was an associate pastor at Sacred
Heart of Jesus Church in Wadsworth, a year after Rooney was ordained.
The allegation had not been substantiated...
-
- Rooney grew up on Cleveland's West Side. After becoming a
priest, he had moved from church to church, which is not unusual
for associate pastors, Tayek said. From 1991 to 1996, Rooney
was at St. Columbkille in Parma and from 1996 to 1998, he was
at St. John Vianney in Mentor. He joined St. Anthony after taking
a year off to care for an ailing parent, Tayek said.

- CATHOLIC PEDOPHILE PRIESTS SCANDALS
A former parish priest was convicted in January of sexually assaulting
a 10-year-old boy a decade ago. Records depict the "loathsome
deeds of a sexual predator who allegedly preyed on over 100 innocent
children over three decades." The Catholic Church already
has paid over $10 million to settle 50 civil lawsuits against
this priest alone.
- The Boston archdiocese has quietly settled child sex-abuse
claims against at least 70 other priests in the past 10 years.
Church leaders could have stopped the abuse but didn't. Instead,
they quietly shuffled the predatory priest from parish to parish
where he continued to prey on children. A $120 jury award in
Dallas in 1997 was later reduced to $23 million (2/1 CC). Catholics
in Ireland agreed last month to pay $110 million to settle cases
involving hundreds of people who claimed they were sexually abused
as children by priests, nuns, and other church officials over
several decades. (2/11 USN&WR) The Catholic "forbidding

A St. Louis Post-Dispatch survey has revealed that 232 priests
accused of sexual misconduct (out of 178 U.S. dioceses), have

However, for a few dioceses, such actions were "an internal

diocese, some priests were let go in the 1980s, but since 1992
and the distribution of new tough rules, "We do not investigate
ourselves.. you have to go to the cops." According to STL
Today, some dioceses said that "when the alleged abuse dates
from many years earlier, there is an internal review first."
In those years, priests were not challenged through psychological
tests that are a routine in seminary now.

- CATHOLICISM, LIKE ISLAM, HAS MISUSED POWER
Like Islam, wherever it had the power, the Roman Catholic Church
for more than a thousand years forced its false doctrines upon
the populace under penalty of death. Its false doctrine offered
heaven through baptism, sacraments, indulgencies, the wearing
of scapulars and medals and other good works. The popes matched
the Muslim promise of Paradise for the jihad martyr by offering
a plenary indulgence and instant entrance into heaven for all
who died in the Holy Land Crusades. Such practices were directly
contrary to the teachings of the Bible and the example of Christ
and of the early church. [Excerpt, 2/02 Berean Call] (The Calvary

- PEDOPHILE PRIESTS
In the wake of revelations of sex scandals in the U.S. Catholic
Church, 70 percent of its members seem to favor an end of the
celibacy requirement for priests, according to a Newsweek poll.
But some stark statistics show that most parishes could not afford
married pastors. "The point is that, unlike Protestants,
Catholics don't tithe," the Rev. Gerald E. Murray, a canon
lawyer in New York, told UPI Thursday. William Ryan, spokesman
for the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, concurred: "We
have tried to start a tithing movement, but it
hasn't caught on yet."
-
- U.S. Labor Department statistics show that the nation's 30,000
diocesan priests earned anywhere from $12,936 to $15,483 in 1999,
in addition to their board and keep. Said Murray, "You could
never raise a family on that kind of an income." By contrast
an average pastor's salary of the United Church of Christ in
Connecticut is about
$40,000, according to official UCC figures. Full-time ministers
of large parishes receive as much as $76,533.
- Elsewhere, Protestant clergymen make even more. "An
associate pastor of a suburban congregation in the South earns
$100,000, reported Leadership Journal, a professional publication
for ministers.
-
- This still does not correspond to the income executives in
comparable secular position command. But then, the UCC report
quoted a pastor as saying, "Nobody goes into ministry for
the money. But we do have to pay the mortgage, put food on the
table, pay for child care, pay for student loans, and save for
college education."
-
- Murray estimated that the average parishioner in his congregation,
St. Vincent de Paul in Manhattan, gives $4 at the offering during
mass every week. By contrast, many Protestants place large checks
on the offering plate, in addition to their monthly contributions.
"If American Catholics would have a hard time feeding married
priests and their families, can you imagine the upheaval in Third-World
congregations if they were suddenly faced with
such an obligation?" a Vatican official asked. Would allowing
priests to marry solve the problem of clerical molesters? Why
or why not? According to today's report from the Italy, the Vatican
does not take this latest scandal about the Catholic Church serious.
The pope says that the media is creating this issue to hurt the
church.

- AMERICA'S LEADERS WORSHIPPING IDOLS.
Friday Church News Notes, April 5, 2002 (David W. Cloud, Fundamental
Baptist Information Service, P.O. Box 610368, Port Huron, MI
48061, 866-295-4143, fbns@wayoflife.org) Some of America's highest
officials are worshipping idols on their overseas travels. This
has occurred at least twice this year. In February, President
George Bush, who professes faith in Jesus Christ and attends
church, performed an act of worship at a Shinto temple that houses
the remains of Emperor Meiji. Bush, attended by his wife, entered
the temple, clapped and bowed deeply. Kiyomasa Akashi of Logos
Ministries in Tokyo, rightly observed, "It was an act of
idolatry" (Assist News Service, April 1, 2002).
Christian leaders and missionaries in Japan sent letters of warning
to the White House, but they went unheeded. They tried to explain
that many Christians have been terribly persecuted because they
refused to participate in Shinto rituals and emperor worship.
Some were killed and others had their hands chopped off. In January,
U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell visited Nepal, and the newspapers
here printed a photo of him worshipping at the prominent Buddhist
temple, Bouddha Nath Stupa.
Powell wore a Buddhist prayer cloth around his shoulders and
lit a butter lamp. Any Buddhist would recognize these as acts
of worship. Christians in Nepal have suffered greatly by refusing
to participate in precisely the type of worship that Powell performed.
When Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, and Shinto leaders visit America,
they are not expected to enter a church and worship Jesus Christ.
Why, then, are America's leaders, most of who profess to be Christians,
so foolishly eager to worship pagan deities? These are not matters
that can be taken lightly. God's curse is upon idolatry. [Amen

DEAD BODY DRAGGED THROUGH BETHLEHEM
BETHLEHEM, West Bank - Palestinian militiamen shot dead two alleged
collaborators with Israel on Thursday, then tied the body of
one to the back of a pickup truck, dragged him through town and
attempted to hang him from a rooftop overlooking the traditional

The killings of the two Palestinians, carried out in front

UK MINISTRY MAKES ATOMIC BOMB PLANS PUBLIC
Paper Sun Apr 14, 2002 LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Ministry
of Defense has made public step-by-step instructions for building
an atomic bomb, a newspaper reported on Monday.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper said the ministry had also released
papers to the Public Record Office describing ways that such
a bomb could be smuggled into the country... Retired engineer
Brian Burnell, who worked on the British atomic weapons program,
told the paper the plans were enough to enable a terrorist to
make an atomic bomb without difficulty.
"These documents should never have been declassified
and since the events of September 11 there is a case for removing
them from public access," he was quoted as saying. The main
opposition Conservative Party's defense spokesman Bernard Jenkins
told the Telegraph the files were "a monstrous free gift
to terrorists."
The paper said the files related to the construction of Blue
Danube, the first British atomic bomb which was built in the
late 1940s and early 1950s. The plans gave complete cross-sections,
precise measurements and full details of materials used for all
the components, including the plutonium core and the initiator
that sets off the chain reaction causing the blast, the paper
said.
Burnell said a prospective bombmaker would need only a basic
machine shop and the right components -- including weapons-grade
plutonium -- to make the bomb according to the instructions in
the files. The plans, available for anyone to see, are contained
in files released to the Public Record Office over the last five
years, the Telegraph said.
- Last month researchers based at Stanford University in the
United States said they had compiled a database of lost, stolen
and misplaced nuclear material. Their research showed that over
the past 10 years, at least 88 pounds of weapons-usable plutonium
and uranium had been stolen from poorly protected facilities
in the former Soviet Union. Most but not all of the material
was eventually recovered... http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20020415/wl_nm/britain_atomic_dc_1&e=1&ncid=
