this ministry. We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years.
We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:
out of the cult of Mormonism. We did not know at the time we
were in a cult. No-one had witnessed to us in 20 years.
- The Holy Spirit brought us to information about all the cults
and the present development of the New World Order. We began
bringing our research to you. Because all the research was already
done, we decided to build a library within Cephas Ministry. Our

anger which is strictly prohibited in Scripture. It is to shed
light on activities by those who would deceive those who are
recorded in the Book of Life by devious methods and systematic

God always had during the Old / New Testament Times.

The news about churches is unedited unless indicated by Ednotes.
The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
and today's church doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word
of God has undergone many changes to fit the progressive modes.
Many new Bible tranlations have brought confusion. The Bible
calls for a falling away from the truth before
Jesus comes back for His Bride. The true believers are called
'Ekklesia.' Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the
Bible is true from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, the so called democratizing what is left of the world.
This is a deception since the underlying new world global government
is developed by implementing sustainable development. The
Bible prophesies that there will be ten kings (ten horns), each
king (horn) will receive a region of the world as a reward for
work well done for the Antichrist. This is the reason for the
present development of NAU (The North American Union) as well
as the war in the Middle East. It again proves that we are moving
to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible.
The end result will not be Democracy but a form of Fascist Communism
(Public/Private Corporations enslaving mankind).
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings because Israel is the time piece of the Biblical Prophecy.
1948 was the beginning of the figtree representing Israel, coming
back to life. Israel was allowed to return to its land. Israel
is the rock upon which the world stumbles and crumbles. We watch
and visit Israel for signs which point to the Tribulation to
confirm that we are moving into that space of time.

1, 2009, marks a historic day in Germany in more ways than one!
By Ron Fraser Coincident with the enacting of the Lisbon Treaty/EU
constitution on December 1, Germany’s Constitutional Court
has ruled that the nation’s capital must, like the rest
of the country, abide by the law instituting Sunday as a day
“of rest from work and of spiritual improvement” (Deutsche
Welle, December 1).
Since the war, Berlin had enacted its own legislation allowing
10 shopping Sundays per year. That local ruling is now quashed.
Effective from Jan. 1, 2010, Berlin must fall into line with
the law institutionalizing Sunday as a day of rest and religious
contemplation as contained in Germany’s Basic Law.
The actual law establishing Sunday as Germany’s weekly day
of worship is enshrined in an appendix to the Basic Law under
the heading, “Extracts From the German Constitution of Aug.
11, 1919 [Weimar Constitution].” There we find, under the
subhead “Religion and Religious Societies,” Article
139, which reads: “Sunday and holidays recognized by the
state shall remain protected by law as days of rest from work
and of spiritual improvement.”
Though, under that same section, Article 137 (1) states “There
shall be no state church,” the effect of the Sunday law
is to institutionalize Roman Catholicism and its daughter churches
as Germany’s state religion.
Those aware of the history of the Holy Roman Empire of the German
Nation will see this move by Germany’s highest court as
one step further toward enforcing Rome’s religion, not only
as the state religion on Germany, but on the whole European empire
enacted by treaty on this infamous day, Dec. 1, 2009.

with this latest ruling of Germany’s Constitutional Court.

MASONIC LODGE IN ITALY APPOINTS CATHOLIC PRIEST AS CHAPLAIN,

show of “openness” to the Catholic Church, a Masonic
lodge in Italy has announced the appointment of a Catholic priest
as chaplain. The news was announced during an address to members
of the lodge by Grand Master Fabio Venzi of the Grand Lodge of
Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Italy. During his address
announcing the appointment of the priest, whom he did not identify
by name, Venzi explained what he considers to be the relationship
between freemasonry and the Catholic Church. “If we examine
the documents at our disposal and if we look at the contrasts
of the presumed incompatibility of the Catholic Church with freemasonry,
we might get the impression that we find ourselves in the presence

he was forced to disown his Chicago pastor, President Obama has
begun to attend services led by a Christian chaplain who views
Islam as a violent faith.
- Mr Obama has been an irregular church attender since becoming
President, but has expressed a fondness for Carey Cash, the navy
chaplain at the Camp David presidential retreat who has been
criticised for proselytising in the military and his mistrust
of Islam.
- The White House insists that the Rev Cash, the great-nephew
of the singer Johnny Cash, has not become Mr Obama’s new
pastor, but it appears that the President has heard more sermons
by him than any other minister since taking office. The emergence
of Mr Cash, 39, who was profiled on the front page of The Washington
Post yesterday, will pose some tough questions for the White
House — and for President Obama, whose father was Muslim.
In a 2004 book describing his deployment to Iraq the year before,
Mr Cash calls Islam violent, a faith that “from its very
birth has used the edge of the sword as a means to convert or

- VATICAN IN NEW RIFT WITH JEWS ON RACISM CONFERENCE

(Reuters) - Pope Benedict's decision to send a Vatican delegation
to a United Nations conference on racism has opened a new rift
in relations with Jewish groups, who fear it will be used as
a platform to attack Israel.
- "By participating, the Vatican has given its endorsement
to what is being prepared there (against Israel)," Rome's
chief rabbi, Riccardo Di Segni, told the Italian newspaper La
Stampa.
- The United States and many of its allies, including Italy
-- a country which often sees eye-to-eye with the Vatican at
international conferences -- are boycotting.
- On Sunday the pope, who makes his first trip to Israel as
pontiff next month, called the conference an important initiative
and said he hoped it could help "put an end to every form
of racism, discrimination and intolerance".
- Shimon Samuels, head of the European office of the Simon
Wiesenthal Centre, said the Vatican "is giving a seal of
approval in the hate campaign" against Israel.
- "This is not a position on which one can hedge,"
Samuels told Reuters. "You can't have it both ways. The
Vatican is a powerful voice and (a boycott) could have had a
strong demonstrative effect."
- Chief Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi defended
the Vatican's presence and said a disputed conference text has
been improved in recent weeks.
- "This is an international conference promoted by the
United Nations and the Holy See. Just because some important
countries are not attending does not mean that the Holy See cannot
have a positive and constructive dialogue there," he said.

- DECLARATION OF U.S. LAWYER CONCERNING SEX ABUSE CASE
April 24, 2010 - VATICAN CITY, 23 APR 2010 (VIS) – With
reference to the lawsuit against the Holy See which lawyers in
the United States have filed at a federal court in Milwaukee,
in the name of a victim of sexual abuse by a member of the clergy,
the Holy See Press Office reiterates a declaration released by
Jeffrey Lena, the Holy See’s attorney in the U.S.A., the
complete text of which is given below:
- “First and foremost, sympathy is due to the victims
of the criminal acts committed by Fr. Lawrence Murphy. By sexually
abusing children, Murphy violated both the law and the trust
that his victims had placed in him.
- “While legitimate lawsuits have been filed by abuse
victims, this is not one of them. Instead, the lawsuit represents
an attempt to use tragic events as a platform for a broader attack
– this one dependent on re-characterising the Catholic Church
as a worldwide ‘business enterprise’.
- “The case against the Holy See and its officials is
completely without merit. Most of the complaint rehashes old
theories already rejected by U.S. courts. With regard to Murphy
himself, the Holy See and its officials knew nothing of his crimes
until decades after the abuse occurred, and had no role whatsoever
in causing plaintiff’s injuries.
- “Given its lack of merit, the lawsuit – together
with its de rigueur press conference and news releases –
is simply the latest attempt by certain U.S. lawyers to use the
judicial process as a tool of media relations.
- “If necessary, we will respond more fully to this lawsuit

- BLACKWATER: KNIGHTS OF MALTA IN IRAQ
 Emblem of the Order
of St John, the English Protestant ecumenical branch of the Order
of Malta, which is a Catholic secret society integrated with
the elaborate super-structure Freemasonry.
- Blackwater is more than just a "private army",
much more than just another capitalist war-profiteering business

it is a military order based on the crusader Knights Hospitaller
of Jerusalem and is interwoven with Freemasonry. Most people
have never even heard of SMOM, much less that it is a part of
Freemasonry. But that is the way the aristocratic elite like

Barack Obama made a pilgrimage Sunday to Billy Graham's mountainside
home, concluding his North Carolina vacation with his first meeting
with the ailing evangelist who has counseled commanders in chief
since Dwight Eisenhower. The 48-year-old president made the short
drive to Montreat from Asheville, where he spent the weekend,
to see the 91-year-old Graham and son Franklin, also an evangelist.
- During the visit, which lasted about 30 minutes and included
aides and advisers to both men, Obama had a private prayer and
conversation with Billy Graham. The evangelist gave Obama two
Bibles, one for him and one for the first lady, Graham spokesman
Larry Ross said. Obama was "extraordinarily gratified that
he took the time to meet with him," White House spokesman
Bill Burton said. Franklin Graham said his father and Obama did
most of the talking. They reminisced about their roots in Chicago
— Graham went to Wheaton College and began some of his ministry
in the region; Obama moved to Chicago after college and began

ton” range, highly radioactive, extremely small and can
be engineered to leave the signature of a primitive device. They
were originally designed for use against Soviet armor and troop
concentrations in Europe if a massed attack on NATO were to occur.
Current conventional systems have made this type of weapon
obsolete.
- We have been told that federal authorities have interviewed,
on video, a prominent individual with specific knowledge of the
possession of this type of weapon. This won’t be in the
news. All that “every day folks” will see is a story

- Dad, the famous Reverend Billy Graham, primary spiritual
advisor to every American president since Harry Truman held different
views. Rev. Billy Graham openly voiced a belief that Jews control
the American media, calling it a “stranglehold” during
a 1972 conversation with President Richard Nixon, according to
a tape of the Oval Office meeting released Thursday by the National
Archives.
“This stranglehold has got to be broken or the country’s
going down the drain,” the nation’s best-known preacher
declared as he agreed with a stream of bigoted Nixon comments
about Jews and their perceived influence in American life.
“You believe that?” Nixon says after the “stranglehold”
comment.
“Yes, sir,” Graham says.
“Oh, boy,” replies Nixon. “So do I. I can’t
ever say that but I believe it.”
“No, but if you get elected a second time, then we might
be able to do something,” Graham replies.
Consider this report as a form of “innocualtion,” meant
to prevent an unseemly accident.

- Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven movement has, in a relatively
short period of time, become what TIME magazine has referred
to as a “Purpose Driven empire.”1 The word empire is
defined in the dictionary as “supreme rule; absolute power
or authority; dominion.” It also means “an extensive
social or economic organization under the control of a single
person, family, or corporation.”2 For all intents and purposes,
Rick Warren has become the titular head—the almost emperor-like
CEO—of an increasingly apostate postmodern church. But while
Warren continues to be embraced by much of the world and much
of the church, it is not too late for people to reconsider their
involvement with him and his Purpose Driven movement. Here are
ten scripturally based reasons why people with any love of the
truth should not involve themselves in Warren’s “Broad
Way” Christianity:
- Ten Basic Reasons
1) Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven movement offers a “Broad
Way” Christianity. One of the mysteries of the Christian
faith can be found in Jesus’ warning that the way to life
is “narrow” and that “few” would actually
find it. Jesus is telling us in advance that the “broad
way”—no matter how well intentioned—is not from
Him. With Rick Warren’s reformation movement based on deeds
and not creeds, everyone is invited to partake in this global
effort. But biblical principles are watered-down and often cast
aside.
- Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there
be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow
is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find
it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
2) Rick Warren’s “Broad Way” Christianity does
not declare “all the counsel of God.” Rick Warren teaches
only what he wants to teach from the Bible. As a result, there
are many important teachings that he skips over, de-emphasizes,
and leaves out—particularly in regard to prophecy and spiritual

- MAX LUCADO JOINS COVENANT OF CIVILITY

- Well known author Max Lucado has placed his name on the Covenant
for Civility. Who, after all, can argue against such a document,
which calls for an end to mean-spirited debate and rancor?
- Had this truly been a secular document, there would be no
problem. Unfortunately, this document is presented in spiritual
terms. It begins with Psalm 133:1: “How good and pleasant
it is when the people of God live together in unity.”
The document then states, “As Christian pastors and leaders…”
- The Covenant for Civility also refers to “the unity
we have in the Body of Christ.”
- Incredibly, the agreement also includes a pledge there be
“no questioning of the other’s faith…”
- Yet Brian McLaren, who rejects the Biblical Christ, is one
of the signatories. There are others who reject Jesus Christ,
yet have been included.
- How do we join in this spiritual agreement when Christ tells
us, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes

- CHUCK COLSON'S "CIVILITY COVENANT" INCONSISTENCY
In late March, the Covenant for Civility document was made public.
Spearheaded by progressive, Red Letter Christian Jim Wallis,
the Covenant for Civility contains the signatures of 114 prominent
leaders of the religious community.
- The covenant calls for an end to bitter debate and rancor,
and urges mutual respect and kindness when dealing with one another.
- According to CNN, those who signed are “from a broad
swath of Christian traditions, including the president of the
National Association of Evangelicals, the head of the National
Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and the general Superintendent
of the Assemblies of God, a major Pentecostal organization.”
- Chuck Colson, called “an influential evangelical Christian
voice,” by CNN, also signed the document. Colson stated,
“We owe a certain amount of responsibility to each other
as believers. That doesn’t mean I haven’t challenged
some people’s theology. But the document says we’re
not going to challenge each other’s motives or engage in
ad hominem attacks.”
- Before the document was signed, Jim Wallis and Glenn Beck
had engaged in a very public feud. Colson stated that the document
would not be signed by Glenn Beck “because we’re talking
about the conversation in the family of believers…Glenn
Beck is a Mormon.”
- This is true. Beck does not have a Biblical understanding
of Jesus Christ, although he does have the gratitude and admiration
of many Biblical Christians for his eloquent defense of the country’s
traditional ways.
- Colson’s statement, however, is troubling. Why? Among
those who signed the document is Brian McLaren, who rejects the
tenets of Biblical Christianity. McLaren’s latest book,
A New Kind of Christianity, is an aggressive assault on both
Christ and the Bible.
- So it is interesting how Colson fails to hold McLaren up
to the same theological measuring stick that he applies to Glenn
Beck. As will be demonstrated in an upcoming article, Colson’s
“family of believers” do not necessarily share a common
theology at all.

This kind of information cannot be accidental.

Tuesday, we brought you the story of a Georgia woman who appeared
before lawmakers debating a microchip implant ban and testified
that the Department of Defense had implanted a chip in her "vaginal-rectum
area." But the specter of forced microchip implants, or
human-chipping, is no laughing matter for the lawmakers in eight
states who, over the past several years, have presented bills
to ban the still-essentially-hypothetical problem. Three of those
states (California, Wisconsin and North Dakota) have passed legislation.
Last week, the Georgia House Judiciary Committee approved the
state's implant ban bill after hearing from the woman with the
alleged DoD implant. It now moves on to a full house vote, and
appears to have a decent shot of passing (the bill already passed
the State Senate). One of the implant ban bill's biggest backers,
State Rep. Ed Setzler (R-Acworth), told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
that the measure was "proactive." Human-chipping is
"such a profound violation of one's privacy, and we want
to do something before it starts being enacted on the fringe,"
Setzler said.

same love for homosexual sinners as they do for heterosexual
sinners.

- There is no way! There is no way Bishop Harry Jackson, who
courageously led the fight against gay marriage in Washington
D.C., realizes just who else is on the sweet-sounding, but sour-smelling
Covenant for Civility.
- The document is written as if it is to Bible believing Christians.
The first paragraph begins with “As Christian pastors and
leaders…”
- THE LETTER ADDRESSES THE CHURCH:
- “The church in the United States can offer a message
of hope and reconciliation to a nation that is divided by political
and cultural differences.”
- Then, the lallapalooza–the Covenant of Civility refers
to “the unity we have in the Body of Christ.”
- But cleverly, many of the signatories are in strong opposition
to Biblical Truth. So much for “unity”…unless…this
watered down thing is just one more indication of where we are
going.
- Where is the unity with heretic Brian McLaren, a signatory
who rejects both Christ and His Word? McLaren
even has a label for Bishop Jackson. He calls Christians
who are not shy in opposing the gay agenda “fundasexualists.”
He is quite clear about this in his book, A New Kind of Christianity.
- Where is Bishop Jackson’s unity with his co-signer,
Geoffrey A. Black, General Secretary and President of the United
Church for Christ?
- As a recent UCC release notes, “The General Synod of
the UCC has called [to]” … “repeal
the Defense of Marriage Act and create marriage equality for
all.”[1] (Bold mine)
- Marriage equality for all?
- Again, there is nothing wrong with being polite, civil, and
so on. That’s in the Bible already. But Bible believeing
Christians who have signed this document need to get off it,
and quickly.
- Are you in Biblical “unity” with pro-homosexual
churches and organizations that call themselves “Christian”…
are you in “unity” with those who are pro-abortion?
- Who is going to step up and bless God? General Superintendent
of Assemblies of God George O. Wood moved immediately once he
learned the truth. My belief is that Bishop Jackson will do the
same.
- What about you National Association of Evangelical guys?
President Leith Anderson? You’re the first guy on the list.
You are signatory numero uno. And Galen Carey? What exactly is
your role in all this? W. Todd Bassett? If it helps, here is
the passage I think of when I think of the courage of AOG leader
Dr. Wood:
- For am I now seeking the favor of men,
or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying
to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. (Galatians

is addressed to the No. 2 man at the Vatican and recounts the
story of a priest who preyed on deaf boys trapped in dormitories
with no chance of escape.
- The letter to Cardinal Angelo Sodano from one of the Rev.
Lawrence Murphy's alleged victims is more evidence for those
trying to learn what Vatican officials knew about abuse claims
at St. John's School for the Deaf outside Milwaukee and when.
- The document was revealed Thursday in yet another lawsuit
aimed at the highest reaches of the Roman Catholic Church. It's
also significant because it involves Sodano, a strong defender
of Pope Benedict XVI's handling of the global clergy sexual abuse
crisis and a man whose own record on a separate high-profile
case has come under scrutiny.
- The Vatican's U.S.-based attorney, Jeffrey Lena, said in
a statement Thursday that the lawsuit was a publicity stunt with
no merit and it rehashes theories already rejected by U.S. courts.

(AP) — Evangelist Franklin Graham's invitation to speak
at a Pentagon prayer service has been rescinded because his comments
about Islam were inappropriate, the Army said Thursday. Graham,
the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, in 2001 described Islam
as evil. More recently, he has said he finds Islam offensive
and wants Muslims to know that Jesus Christ died for their sins.
Army spokesman Col. Tom Collins said Graham's remarks were "not
appropriate."
- "We're an all-inclusive military," Collins said.
"We honor all faiths. ... Our message to our service and
civilian work force is about the need for diversity and appreciation
of all faiths."
- The Military Religious Freedom Foundation had raised the
objection to Graham's appearance, citing his past remarks about
Islam. Collins said earlier this week that the invitation to
attend the National Day of Prayer event at the Pentagon wasn't
from the military but from the Colorado-based National Day of
Prayer Task Force, which works with the Pentagon chaplain's office
on the prayer event.

Graham. Peter Johnson is obviously a member of the Christian

Ben Nelson’s obstruction of health care reform, over abortion,
was praiseworthy because Nelson knew the real meaning of Christmas
was that you don’t “destroy babies.” And now,
as a good Christian soldier, he’s defending the offensive
“Islam is evil” rhetoric of evangelist Franklin Graham
whose reconsideration as Pentagon speaker on National Prayer
Day shows that, according to Pete, he is the victim of pro-Islamic
sentiment in the White House. It’s ironic, don’t ya
think, how Fox & Friends is always whining about how “easy”

- FRANKLIN GRAHAM REGRETS ARMY'S DECISION TO RESCIND INVITE

- April 22, 2010 Fox News - Evangelist Franklin Graham said
Thursday that he regrets the Army's decision to rescind its invitation
to him for the Pentagon's National Day of Prayer service on May
6, but expressed "strong support" for the U.S. military.
An Army spokesman confirmed to Fox News that the invitation to
Graham to be honorary chairman at the event was rescinded amid
complaints from Muslim members of the military about his description
of Islam as an evil religion. The Army spokesman said the event
will go forward but without the National Day of Prayer Task Force
participating.
- "I regret that the Army felt it was necessary to rescind
their invitation to the National Day of Prayer Task Force to
participate in the Pentagon's special prayer service," Graham
said in a written statement. "I want to expresses my strong
support for the United States military and all our troops,"
he added. "I will continue to pray that God will give them
guidance, wisdom and protection as they serve this great country."
Earlier Thursday, Graham stuck by his remarks about Islam, including
that Muslims are "enslaved" by their religion, Franklin,
the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, told Fox News that
he loves Muslim people and wants them to know that God loves
them, even if they can be saved only through Jesus Christ. "I
want them to know that they don't have to die in a car bomb,
don't have to die in some kind of holy war to be accepted by
God. But it's through faith in Jesus Christ and Christ alone,"
Graham said.
- Graham said said he loves the Muslim people, just not their
religion -- which he called "horrid" for its restrictions
on women. "I love the people of Islam but their religion,
I do not agree with their religion at all. And if you look at
what the religion does just to women, women alone, it is just
horrid. And so yes, I speak out for women. I speak out for people
that live under Islam, that are enslaved by Islam and I want
them to know that they can be free," he said.
- After the 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Graham
said Islam "is a very evil and wicked religion." In
a later op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal, Graham wrote
that he did not believe Muslims were evil because of their faith,

 Glenn Beck: the Televangelist Con Man Selling God's
Plan for America

Beck radio show, Beck delivered a 10-minute monologue in which
he hit all of his phony-baloney touchstones -- some of them,
as I've been writing for the last several weeks, are dangerous
and some are simply ridiculous. But primarily, Beck was in full
televangelist mode about God and something about a "plan"
and, in the process, he dovetailed into a little McCarthyism
and, as usual, a little historical revisionism. He even shrunk
into a defensive bit refuting the accusations that he's a faker
who's conning his audience.
- Now, before you listen to this epic clip courtesy of Media
Matters, I should warn you to turn down your speakers, because
the over-the-top levels of audio compression and EQ on Beck's
voice (say nothing of the half-dozen or so Beck sound-alikes
who also occupy his studio) will absolutely blow out your speakers.
- Most radio stations employ some sort of digital processing
to make the host or disc jockey sound more resonant, but I've
never heard a talk show with this much compression. Clearly,
the BOOM! is there to enhance Beck's voice in a way that augments
his level of psychological persuasion -- the deeper, diaphragm-vibrating
low end increases the physical connection between Beck and his
audience. A more subconscious aspect of his scam.
- The overarching theme of this monologue is that God is speaking
directly to Glenn Beck and giving him the plan. It's classic
televangelism, which is commonly seen as nothing more than an
exploitation of religious naiveté with the goal of making
the televangelist rich. Listen to me. I have the answers. Because
God is speaking to me. So give generously if you want to hear
what God's plan is.

Graham challenged President Obama’s statement in Norway
that Islam is a “great religion” and said Islam is
“violent” and cannot be practiced in the United States.
Graham said on CNN Dec. 10 that “we have many Muslims that
live in this country, but true Islam cannot be practiced in this
country. You can't beat your wife. You cannot murder your children
if you think they've committed adultery or something like that,
which they do practice in these other countries.”
Graham said to study Islam, one should look at the intolerance
practiced in Saudi Arabia. “But, listen, Islam, I love the
people of Islam,” he said. “And I work in Muslim countries
all over the world. But when you see countries that where they
live under Sharia law, Islamic law, where that is the law of
the land, Campbell [Brown], trust me girl, you don't want to

the American Revolution, in many ways, begins with Thomas Paine.
The Marquis de Lafayette said, “A free America without her
Thomas Paine is unthinkable.” Paine wrote the famous pamphlet,
Common Sense, which is called “by far the most influential
tract of the American Revolution” by not a few historians,
who also maintain that it influenced Jefferson’s writing
of the Declaration of Independence. Paine also published The
Crisis pamphlet series, some of which were read aloud by George
Washington to his troops during the Revolution. John Adams is
known for saying, “Without the pen of Paine, the sword of
Washington would have been wielded in vain.”
