for Aaron the priest, and his sons' garments, to minister in
the priest's office. According to all that the LORD commanded
Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work. And Moses
did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it
as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and

We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:

The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
and today's church doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word
of God has undergone many changes to fit the progressive modes.
Many new Bible tranlations have brought confusion. The Bible
calls for a falling away from the truth before
Jesus comes back for His Bride. The true believers are called
'Ekklesia.' Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the
Bible is true from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, the so called democratizing what is left of the world.
This is a deception since the underlying new world global government
is developed by implementing sustainable development. The
Bible prophesies that there will be ten kings (ten horns), each
king (horn) will receive a region of the world as a reward for
work well done for the Antichrist. This is the reason for the
present development of NAU (The North American Union) as well
as the war in the Middle East. It again proves that we are moving
to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible.
The end result will not be Democracy but a form of Fascist Communism
(Public/Private Corporations enslaving mankind).
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings because Israel is the time piece of the Biblical Prophecy.
1948 was the beginning of the figtree representing Israel, coming
back to life. Israel was allowed to return to its land. Israel
is the rock upon which the world stumbles and crumbles. We watch
and visit Israel for signs which point to the Tribulation to
confirm that we are moving into that space of time.

 SCRIPTURE STUDY - When The Restrainer Is Gone
- The most heartrending idea to grip me recently has been a
fresh revelation of this world completely without God. Can you
imagine our present society suddenly free of all moral restraints?
Everything that now represents purity and the high and holy things
will be absolutely removed and non-existing, allowing unfettered
evil to completely baptize the world. It will be a dark and filthy
place. Satan will realize his long dream of world control and
will turn this globe into hell on earth.
- Before that can occur, God’s restraining powers must
be removed. For the entire period of man’s earthly existence
the Holy Spirit of God has been the "Restrainer." For
some unknown reason, the church has never developed the truth
of this area of Holy Ghost activity or at least I have not seen
it.
- From the very dawn of creation as God the Father acted to
call forth order and creative beauty, the Holy Ghost has been
the agent of restraint, The nothingness out of which God created
the worlds and all matter or creatures was a chasm of emptiness.
Why that was true the Bible does not explain. The first act we
see of the Holy Spirit was at this moment. "And the
world was without form, and void and darkness was upon the face
of the deep. And the ‘Spirit of God’ moved upon the
face of the waters, and God said, Let there be light and there
was light" (Genesis 1:2,3 KJV).
- Out of nothing but a void and formless chasm, the Father
called forth light and order while the Holy Spirit pushed back
the darkness. The second person of the Triune Godhead was also
actively present as the eternal Word of God and light of all
creation. You see the Son of God in these words, "And God
said," and in the glory of light that followed His speech.
it was a display of God’s entire personhood and reveals
that our God is beyond all human explanation. The Holy Spirit’s
unique place in the Godhead is as the Father’s and the Son’s

- JESUITS IN ROME ELECTION PICK SPANISH PRIEST AS THEIR NEW
LEADER

- January 19, 2008 - Father Adolfo Nicolas, of Spain, has been
elected today as the 30th Superior General of the Society of
Jesus,
by the Delegates of the 35th General Congregation, and his election
has been confirmed by Pope Benedict XVI.
- Here is some biographical information about Father General,
from the official communique:
- Born in Palencia (in Spain) on 29 April 1936.
Entered the Jesuit novitiate at Aranjuez in the Toletana Province
(Spain) in 1953
Received his Licentiate in Philosophy in 1960 at Alcalá,
Madrid and then studied theology in Tokyo.
Ordained a priest on 17 March 1967 in Tokyo.
From 1968-1971 completed his master's degree in theology at the
Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
Professor of systematic theology at Sophia University in Tokyo
beginning in 1971.
Director of the Pastoral Institute of Manila (1978-1984).
Rector of the Jesuit scholasticate (training young Jesuits) in
Tokyo (1991-1993).
Provincial of Japan (1993-1999).
Since 2004 he has been the moderator of the Jesuit Conference
of East Asia and Oceania.
Father General speaks Spanish, Japanese, English, French and
Italian.

- Today, every one of the almost 20,000 Jesuits has a new leader.
And each of those Jesuits will, at some point today, pray in
thanksgiving to God for the election of Father Nicolas, the man
who succeeds the estimable Father Kolvenbach. Also, every Jesuit,
young and old, will be devouring information about their new
Superior General for clues about his outlook on the future of
the Society of Jesus.
- Interestingly, like Father Nicolas, Pedro Arrupe, the Superior
General before Father Kolvenbach, had also been Provincial of
Japan, something that helped Father Arrupe understand the world,
and the church, from a non-European perspective. Father Nicolas,
a distinguished theologian, has spent most of his Jesuit life
in the Far East, has been responsible for training young Jesuits,
and also has had much experience in governance and administration.
The delegates have chosen a man with a solid background in theology,
extensive experience in a country that is largely non-Christian,
and an admirable combination of administrative skills, to lead

religious, who succeeds father Kolvenbach, is scheduled for tomorrow
in Rome. Father Nicolas, 72 years next April, is called "Black
Pope" for the color of cowl wearing because it is elected
for life as the Pope and leading as Superior of the Jesuits,
the largest and powerful religious order of the world . Our extensive
experience in Asia, strong growth in land of evangelization,
and the ability of government "are the qualities on which
the Society of Jesus has pointed to the election of Nicolas driving
19,200 Jesuits of the world. Father Nicolas has a pastoral training
and all Asia, in particular played in Japan. Among the successors
of 29 founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in the 1540 Spanish theologian
is the second to reach the Land of the Rising Sun after the missionary

in 1971 he obtained a master's degree in sacred theology and

Tokyo, then until 1999 he assumed the role of provincial of the
Jesuit Province of Japan.. The new "Black Pope", from
2004 to 2007, was moderator of the Jesuit Conference Eastern
Asia and Oceania. It enjoys wide esteem in the Vatican and the
Order also for being Secretary General of the Congregation, which
Kolvenbach father got the Jesuits to more moderate positions.
In recent days Benedict XVI has asked the Jesuits greater fidelity
in "promoting the true and sound Catholic doctrine,"
that "the Church has even more need today, at a time when
there is the urgent need to convey to contemporary, distracted
by discordant voices, and the only unchanged message of salvation
that is the Gospel. " Ratzinger has described as "very
useful" a public reaffirmation of its total membership to
Catholic doctrine "by the Society of Jesus," in particular
focal points today strongly attacked by secular culture, as the
relationship between Christ and religions, some aspects of the
theology of liberation and different points of sexual morality,
particularly with regard to the indissolubility of marriage and
the pastoral care of homosexual persons. "

For centuries, prophecy teachers have believed that a Revised

We have lots of stuff, but it's not paid for. How long can this
go on? Many teachers have been warning about the U.S. economic
situation for years, and point to this particular issue as the

- TWO RESIGN FROM ORU BOARD OF REGENTS
Tulsa World, USA - January. 11, 2008 - Oral Roberts University
Business Regent I.V. Hilliard, co-founder of New Light Christian
Center Church in Texas; and Regent Emeritus Benny Hinn, who until
recently was a business regent, have resigned from the school’s
board of regents, according to a press release. Hinn wished ORU
success, according to the press release, and Hilliard said he
remained committed to the school’s vision and new direction.
Hinn’s spending, along with that of other prominent televangelists,
is being investigated by U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. Last
month, two other business regents resigned: Creflo Dollar, the
founder and senior pastor of World Changers Church International
in Georgia; and Jesse Duplantis, evangelist and founder of Jesse
Duplantis Ministries in Louisiana. Dollar also is being investigated
by Grassley. ORU’s board of regents will meet Monday and
Tuesday to look at “organizational activities” and
to evaluate “strategic opportunities,” according to
the press release. “Throughout this ongoing process, the
board will seek out opportunities that advance the long-term
financial viability of the university as well as ensure that
the university will stay true to its founding vision,” the
release said. ORU spokesman Jeremy Burton did not immediately
have additional information about the meeting. The board has
yet to make any announcements about whether it will accept an
offer of $70 million from the family of Oklahoma City businessman
Mart Green or an offer of help from Regent University, which
was founded by Pat Robertson, a pioneer in Christian broadcasting.

- SENATOR AWAITS ANSWERS FROM FOUR MINISTRIES
Tampa Tribune, USA - January 8, 2008 - Michelle Bearden and Baird
Helgeson - International Church, still have not answered the
questions asked by a U.S. senator looking into the tax-exempt
status of their ministry’s finances. Sen. Chuck Grassley
of Iowa, ranking Republican on the Senate finance committee,
is waiting for four of the six ministries to provide the information
he requested in November about lavish spending and questionable
expenditures. The deadline to respond was Dec. 6. “It’s
a new year and the ministries that have chosen not to cooperate
have a chance to see the inquiry in a new light,” Grassley
said in a prepared statement issued Tuesday. “This has nothing
to do with church doctrine. It’s only about tax-exempt policy.”
Only two of the six - Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Joyce Meyer
Ministries - have delivered packages of material to the senator’s
office. The Whites, whose Tampa-based church operations and international
TV ministry are being scrutinized, declined to comment to the
Tribune through their newly hired public relations company in
New York. The other targeted evangelists are Creflo Dollar of
World Changers Church International, who sent a letter to Grassley
indicating that the ministry does not intend to provide information
voluntarily and raised the question of a subpoena; Benny Hinn
of World Healing Center Church Inc., whose attorneys at first
promised to respond by Dec. 12 but have had no contact with the
senator since leaving a message at the office Dec. 13; and Eddie
Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, who indicated an
unwillingness to cooperate through his attorneys in a letter
received by Grassley last month. Attorneys for Long issued a
statement that said Grassley’s request “disregards
the privacy protections of the Church under law and appears to
cross the line of Constitutional guarantees for churches.”
- Speaking for Without Walls, public relations spokesman Juda
Engelmayer released a statement that said the church has been
in dialogue with Grassley’s office through its legal counsel
in “preparation for a reply” to the questions. “Out
of respect for the process we will not disclose the nature of
those conversations or the substance of our response to the Senator
at this time,” Engelmayer wrote. “However, we look
forward to productive discourse with Senator Grassley’s
office in anticipation of a speedy resolution of this matter.”
In individual letters to the ministries’ leaders, Grassley
asked specific questions based on information given to his staff
and from media reports. He questioned the use of private jets
by some churches and luxury items purchased by some ministries,
such as Joyce Meyer’s $23,000 antique bathroom cabinet.
“Those are reasonable questions for church members to ask,
but not a congressman,” said Ted Olsen, managing editor
at Christianity Today, the nation’s leading evangelical
magazine. “We’re driving down a road very quickly into
a realm of questions that the government has no right to ask,”
he said.
- Last month, Randy White took a defiant stand against the
inquiry during a church service, telling his congregation that
the investigation was an assault on their faith. He said the
church has not broken any laws or misspent money. In November,
Paula White appeared on CNN’s “Larry King Live.”
She acknowledged the ministry owned a jet and defended the “prosperity
gospel,” a belief that God wants to bless the faithful with
earthly riches. But she said her calling has “never been
about money.” “Financially, I believe that you should
have enough to do the assignment that you feel is part of your
life,” she said. Lee Grady, editor of Charisma, another
publication geared toward Christian evangelicals, wrote in a
recent column that in his 15 years at the magazine, he has never
experienced such “intense spiritual turbulence” among
the faithful. “Recent religious scandals have so tarnished
our credibility that we have become a curious freak show,”
he wrote. “Many unbelievers now associate ministers with
wife-swapping, wife-beating, no-fault divorce, gay affairs and
$10,000-a-night hotel rooms. We need a Holy Ghost housecleaning.”
In the Jan. 15 issue of Charisma, Grady said he will commend
the ministers who complied with Grassley’s request and will
urge the others to also comply. “The Bible says if you’re
doing nothing wrong, you’ve got no reason to fear the government,”
he told the Tribune. He said Grassley is a Christian with no
intent to persecute the church. “I think all Christians
want our ministries to operate with integrity,” Grady said.
“And I can tell you that most of our readers are getting
tired of money-focused celebrity Christianity.”
- An organization that champions religious freedom has come
out in support of Grassley’s inquiry. “If there is
fraud, then it needs to be brought out,” said Edd Doerr,
president of Americans for Religious Liberty in Maryland. “Cloaking
yourself in religion doesn’t prevent you from being investigated.”

each other… This is the true religion revealed to the ancient
patriarchs; which Masonry has taught for many centuries, and

Service on Monday to disclose records of visits by nine prominent
conservative Christian leaders to the White House and Vice President
Dick Cheney’s residence. The ruling, in response to a legal
watchdog group’s suit, could shed light on the influence
leaders like James Dobson of Focus on the Family have had on
President George W. Bush’s administration. It may also affect
legal efforts to force the release of visiting records of convicted
lobbyist Jack Abramoff and other similar cases. “We think
that these conservative Christian leaders have had a very big
impact,” said Executive Director Melanie Sloan of Citizens
for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, which filed the
case. “The White House doesn’t want to talk about how
much influence these leaders have, and we want to talk about
how much they do have,” she said. Dobson is one of the most
influential opinion leaders among conservative Christians who
are at the heart of Bush’s political base. Others whose
visiting records were sought included Family Research Council
president Tony Perkins, Gary Bauer, who unsuccessfully sought

- MENNONITES DIALOGUE WITH ROME
- Friday Church News Notes, November 23, 2007 - Mennonites
from 10 countries spent nearly a week dialoguing with Catholic
leaders in Rome October 18-23, 2007. The event was hosted by
the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. Nancy Heisey,
president of the Mennonite World Conference, said, "We were
so warmly welcomed that it was almost overwhelming" ("Mennonite
Delegation Visits Catholic Leaders in Rome," The Mennonite,
Nov. 5, 2007). The Mennonites had a private audience with Pope
Benedict XVI, who twisted Christ's words in John 17 out of context
with his claim that "it is Christ Himself who calls us to
seek Christian unity." Heisey told the pope that they shared
a "great common heritage of faith" as well as "the
challenges of being God's people in this time." She called
the meeting with the pope "overwhelming" and "a
very intense kind of experience" ("EMU Professor Meets
Pope," Daily News-Record, Harrisburg, Virginia, Nov. 20,
2007). The give and take ecumenical aspect of theological dialogue
was emphasized in comments made by Mennonite delegate Mulugeta
Zewdie of Ethiopia: "As Mennonites, we have something to
share and to learn at the same time. The dialogue and this visit
can help [us] fellowship with Catholics at the local level."
The Mennonites were introduced to worshippers at the Santa Maria
Maggiore [St. Mary Major] basilica. This blasphemous church features
a large crucifix depicting Mary hanging on the cross with Jesus,
a painting of Mary's alleged bodily assumption into heaven, a
statue of Mary as the Queen of Peace, and a painting of Jesus
crowning Mary Queen of Heaven. The Mennonites trace their origin
to the European Anabaptist movement of the 16th century, but
few Mennonites today preach the new birth in a scriptural fashion.
Mennonite Christianity has largely deteriorated into a form of
godliness without the power thereof (2 Tim. 3:5). Once upon a
time Mennonites boldly and unequivocally rejected Rome's false
gospel, but today they seek unity with Rome. It is not the Roman

- LAUSANNE III TO FORM "NEW WORLD EVANGELISM STRATEGY"
- Friday Church News Notes - November 23, 2007: The third international
Lausanne gathering is scheduled to be held in Cape Town in October
2010. The objective is to form new strategies for world missions
and to "serve to unite and energize the Church" ("Lausanne
III," Christian Post, May 7, 2007). The first gathering
was held in Lausanne in 1974 under the direction of Billy Graham.
The second was held in Manila in 1989 and brought together 3,600
participants from 190 countries. We don't need a new strategy
for missionary work; we have a divinely given one in the New
Testament and it works just fine! The Lord Jesus Christ gave
the churches their marching orders in Matthew 28; Mark 16; Luke
24; John 20; and Acts 1, and the book of Acts and the New Testament
Epistles show us how to carry out these orders. A large percentage
of those who participate in these conferences are "professional
missionary strategists" who are armchair theologians rather
than actual church planting missionaries. They are busybodies
in other men's affairs, with their man-made ecumenical "unity"
and their criticism of biblical separatists and their gross worldliness.
Lausanne is an unscriptural hodge-podge of Methodists, Lutherans,
Baptists, Presbyterians, Anglicans, Pentecostals, Charismatics,
and you name it.

- EVANGELICALS AND MORMONS CONTINUE TO DIALOGUE
- Friday Church News Notes - November 23, 2007 - A "National
Student Dialogue Conference" was held October 19-20 in Salt
Lake City to facilitate communication between evangelicals and
Mormons. Students and teachers from Biola, Wheaton College, Denver
Seminary, Fuller Seminary, and other deeply compromised "evangelical"
institutions participated. Jerry Root, a professor at Wheaton
College, said, "... truth is not reality, but truth is what
I think about reality ... I must not be afraid of honest doubt
that accompanies debate and discussion" ("Students
Aim to Bridge Theological Gap," Deseret Morning News, Oct.
27, 2007). In fact, the truth is the Bible and it does not change
and to entertain doubts about its reality and finality is sin.
Without faith "it is impossible to please [God]," and,
"faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"
(Rom. 10:17). We are not called to dialogue with those of other
faiths; we are called to go into all the world and preach the
gospel to every person (Mark 16:15), because all have sinned
and come short of the glory of God and there is only one true
gospel of salvation (Rom. 1:16; Gal. 1:6-7). This is exactly
what the early churches did as recorded in the book of Acts,
and there is to be a sense of constant urgency to this work.

- The following is excerpted from "Rethinking Robert Schuller"
by Warren Smith, WorldNetDaily, October 30, 2007: "As a
former New Age follower, I could hardly believe it. On Oct. 17,
2004, more than 20 years after his first appearance on the Hour
of Power, New Age leader Gerald Jampolsky was once again Robert
Schuller's featured guest. ... I was very familiar with Gerald
Jampolsky. When I was exploring New Age teachings, he was the
first one to introduce me to the New Age Christ and to the New
Age/New Gospel teachings of 'A Course in Miracles.' Widely reputed
in New Age circles to be the closest thing to a New Age bible,
'A Course in Miracles' taught me that 'there is no sin,' 'a slain
Christ has no meaning' and 'the recognition of God is the recognition
of yourself.' On this Hour of Power program, Schuller praised
Jampolsky and recommended all of his 'fabulous' books--in spite
of the fact that every one of them was based on the New Age teachings
of 'A Course in Miracles.' He also stated that Jampolsky's latest

Amazingly, Schuller had begun the year as a featured speaker
at the annual convention of the National Association of Evangelicals.
He was now closing the year by featuring a prominent New Age
leader as his special guest. As usual, no one in Christian leadership
was holding him accountable, or even seemed to care. Over the
years, Robert Schuller had obviously done a good job of softening
up the church. Schuller's latest move is to hold a 'Rethink Conference'
at his Crystal Cathedral. With an unusual mix of Christian and
non-Christian speakers, the conference will take place Jan. 17-19,
2008. He is co-hosting the conference with Emerging Church movement
leader Erwin McManus. Schuller's 'rethink' website states the
purpose of the conference: 'Our aim is to bring together a cross-section
of the key leaders in today's culture so we can grapple with
what's truly happening in our world.' ... While Rick Warren has
tried desperately to deny his spiritual ties to Schuller, his
wife's presence at the conference speaks volumes. ... Meanwhile,
Lee Strobel, a former Saddleback pastor, makes no apologies for
aligning himself with New Age sympathizer Robert Schuller. ...
From my perspective as a former New Age follower, I believe that
Robert Schuller's mission has always been to 'rethink' and 'change'

Sacramento, Calif. - A hate-crime trial reconvenes Friday in
a case that’s dividing Sacramento and drawing attention
from organizations that monitor extremists. Alex Shevchenko has
been arraigned for a hate crime tied to the assault and eventual
death of Satender Singh in July. According to prosecutors, Mr.
Shevchenko and Andrey Vusik taunted Mr. Singh in a park because
they thought he was gay. Mr. Vusik eventually threw a punch that
toppled Singh, dashing his head, they charge. Gay leaders in
Sacramento say the incident followed several years of escalating
tensions with some Slavic immigrants. “The gut feeling of
the [gay] community is that preaching among the local Russian
evangelical community is breeding hate and that something would
happen. And Satender was the something that happened,” says
Ed Bennett, a gay Democratic activist. While Slavic leaders say
their community is being unfairly scapegoated for legitimate
political protests and deeply held religious beliefs, some monitors
warn that an emerging group called the Watchmen on the Walls
may be fomenting a dangerous atmosphere within the ranks of Slavic
immigrants here. “This group has engaged in extremely vicious
antigay propaganda, and oftentimes it is that kind of propaganda
that is taken by hate criminals as permission to go ahead and
attack,” says Mark Potok, editor of the Southern Poverty

opinions about current Mormon Mitt Romney. He said the Republican
candidate’s recent speech on religion should not be trusted
by media people and other Americans. In his talk, Romney said
“I believe in my Mormon faith” while also noting that
the church’s “teachings” would not influence his
decisions if elected president. “Yeah, right,” responded
Benson, adding that “Romney also believes in misrepresenting
what his Mormon Church actually espouses.” Benson is the
grandson of former Mormon leader Ezra Taft Benson. He told E&P
that, in his view, a Mormon believer is required by church doctrine
(as dictated by the church’s “living prophet”)
to “obey God’s commands” over anything else. He
said “Romney, like all ‘temple Mormons,’ made
his secret vows using Masonic-derived handshakes, passwords,
and symbolic death oaths that he promised in the temple never
to reveal to the outside world” — and that Romney also
secretly vowed to devote his “time, talents” and more
“to the building of the Mormon religion on earth.”
So, said Benson, the only way Romney could be truly independent
of the church as U.S. president would be to disavow Mormon doctrine.

- MORMONISM TRYING TO LOOK MORE CHRISTIAN
- January 15, 2008 - Since Joseph Smith founded Mormonism,
many changes have been made to make it look more Christian. As
recent as 1978, Mormon leaders eliminated the ban on black men
in their priesthood. The practice of polygamy was one of the
things that got them in so much trouble with their neighbors
soon after their founding. Joseph Smith had a couple dozen wives.
Mormon leaders officially renounced polygamy in 1890 but splinter
groups still practice it. Mormonism is constantly changing. Each
new prophet has the authority to nullify previous teachings including
the Bible. In 1996, Mormon leaders reworked the official logo
to put more emphasis on Jesus Christ in their name. Presidential
candidate Mitt Romney attempted to look more “Christian”
by stating: “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God
and the Savior of mankind.” However, he added a qualification:
“My church’s beliefs about Christ may not all be the
same as those of other faiths.” And those beliefs about
Jesus are so foundational that they have not changed much since
founder Joseph Smith wrote them. Romney is right. His “church’s
beliefs about Christ” are radically different from “other

- January 4, 2008 - Wheaton College professor Alan Jacobs has
called on the school to open its doors to Roman Catholic professors.
The call was motivated by the 2004 dismissal of Joshua Hochschild,
who was fired after he joined the Roman Catholic Church. Hochschild
left Wheaton in 2005 and joined the faculty of Mount Saint Mary
University in Maryland. In an April 2006 article in First Things,
Jacobs said: "I think it is important to avoid the claim
that the differences between Protestants and Catholics are insignificant;
they are not, and it is frivolous to think that they are. But
it may well be that sufficient common ground in the gospel exists,
and is recognized to exist, so that it makes sense for a college
like Wheaton to take a significant step toward effective Christian

- Jewish scientists have inscribed the entire Hebrew Old Testament
onto a gold-coated silicon surface the size of a crystal of sugar.
Since the letters can only be read with a scanning electron microscope,
the practicality of the project is slight, but the objective
is to arouse public interest in nanotechnology. In the future
the scientists want to inscribe data on DNA or other bio-molecules
("Technion Released First Ever Non-Bible," Jerusalem
Post, Dec. 17, 2007). The project was carried out at the Technion-Israel
Institute of Technology in Haifa. "But thou, O Daniel, shut
up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end:
many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased"

- HINDU MOBS RAMPAGING AGAINST CHRISTIANS IN INDIA

- Hindu mobs went on a rampage against Christians in the Indian
state of Orissa on Christmas Eve. A report in the Christian Post
for Dec. 27 said the riots continued for three days, and the
Global Council of Indian Christians reported that at least 2,000
Christians had been injured, two killed, and 20 churches damaged,
including some burned to the ground. The mobs were led by activists
affiliated with the World Hindu Council and they made no distinction
between Catholics, Protestants, or Baptists. At least one Indian
preacher was forced to kneel before Hindu idols after being beaten
up. In 1999 Orissa was the scene of a horrible attack upon an
Australian missionary and his two sons. While sleeping in their
station wagon one night they were surrounded by a noisy Hindu
mob and forced to remain in the car while it was set on fire.
Baptist missionary Graham Staines and his sons Philip and Timothy
were burned to death. Staines had been exhibiting the love of

can afford their empty lifestyles. Keep them from spending time
with their children. As their families fragment, soon, their
homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!"

they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will
begin to look elsewhere. That will fragment their families quickly!"

- EVANGELICALS SIGN STRANGE LETTER TO MUSLIMS
- Friday Church News Notes, November 30, 2007 - In response
to an open letter signed by 138 Muslim leaders entitled "A
Common Word Between Us and You," which was issued on October
13, 2007, roughly 300 Christian leaders have signed "Loving
God and Neighbor Together: A Christian Response." The Muslim
letter said that "Muslims recognize Jesus Christ as the
Messiah" and "invited Christians to come together with
us on the common essentials of our two religions," claiming
that "the very survival of the world itself is perhaps at
stake." There was not a word about the current jihad, and
Bin Laden and company were not among the signatories. The Christian
response was organized by professors at the extremely liberal
Yale Divinity School. It is prefaced with the words, "In
the name of the Infinitely Good God whom we should love with
all our Being," which gives the idea that Muslims and Christians
worship the same God. It begins by asking forgiveness for the
Crusades and the (alleged) "excesses of the war on terror"
by which "many Christians have been guilty of sinning against
our Muslim neighbors." It goes on to say, "It is therefore
no exaggeration to say, as you have in A Common Word Between
Us and You, that 'the future of the world depends on peace between
Muslims and Christians.'"
- It calls for interfaith dialogue and warns that "our
eternal souls" are at stake if Muslims and Christians don't
learn to live in peace. The response was obviously written by
someone who does not believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ or
the literal return of Christ, but what the letter omits is just
as telling. There is not a word about the violent jihad that
is rampaging around the world against Christians which negates
the idea that Islam is a peaceful religion, not a word about
the lack of religious liberty and the persecution against Christians
in every Islamic country, not a word about the Islamic prohibition
against converting to Christianity, not a word about Islam's
denial of Christ's deity, virgin birth, sacrificial death, and
bodily resurrection and the fact that Allah is not the God of
the Bible. If this response were signed only by liberals, we
probably would have ignored it, but scattered among the names
of rank liberals and Roman Catholic and Emerging Church leaders
(Tony Jones and Brian McLaren) are those of dozens of "evangelicals,"
including Rick Warren of Saddleback Church; Leith Anderson and
Don Argue (current and past president of the National Association
of Evangelicals); several professors from Fuller Theological
Seminary (including the president), Biola University, Wheaton
College (including the president), and Gordon-Conwell Theological

girl - she asks that we call her “Lali” - is about
to describe a barbaric act of ritualised cruelty which has been
perpetrated against her. Knowing the danger to which she is exposing
herself, her anxiety is entirely understandable. For by speaking
about it, Lali will break the ultimate taboo among Britain’s
600,000 ethnic Africans. In Norway, where this brutal act is
also prevalent, a young Somali woman was recently beaten, almost
to death, for talking to TV documentary programme-makers. It
is known by a variety of names, the most common of which are
female genital mutilation (FGM), female circumcision, or simply
“cutting” - a word which somehow conveys the raw pain
its prepubescent victims suffer. Most people will be unfamiliar
with this practice, which involves removing part or all of the
clitoris, the surrounding labia (the outer part of the vagina)
and sometimes the sewing up of the vagina, leaving only a small
opening for urine and menstrual blood.

to reach young people with their own music, fashion, and interests.
Granger Community Church in Granger, Indiana, epitomizes this
philosophy. Its web site gives the following description of its
Sunday evening youth meetings: "Imagine stepping into a
large room, the floor vibrating with the beat of rock music.
Colored lights cut through a fog-machine haze. The stage is empty,
for now. A bar across the room serves snacks, beverages, pizza.
At the back of the room, sound engineers create the right level
of loud and chat with the customers, who mingle and discuss who's
there, who's late, who's new. No, it's not a trendy nightclub.
It's GCC on a Sunday night. Welcome to Lifeline, the place to
be if you're in high school. Why do we do this? Because if you're
a teenager, chances are you avoid church like the plague. It's
boring. Irrelevant. And the music is ... face it ... lame. So
what else do we offer besides a unique environment? Here's the
tip of the iceberg: your kind of music--live and loud; leaders
who talk to you, NOT AT YOU (or worse, down to you)--about hard
issues you face every day; wild extracurricular events, typically
involving water, dizzying heights and/or road trips ... people

The six prosperity gospel ministries under scrutiny by
Republican Sen. Charles Grassley are a tough group to take on.
The televangelists are veterans at outmaneuvering opponents,
and in this case are even getting support from their critics.
Religious groups who consider the prosperity gospel a rip-off
still see the inquiry as a potential threat to church independence
if it ends with new tax rules for all ministries. The investigation
also has the potential to alienate Christian conservatives at
a time when the GOP can least afford to do so _ ahead of a presidential
election in which no prospective Republican nominee has shown
he can mobilize the Christian right nationwide. “I was amazed
that Grassley took this on knowing this likely will stretch into
next year,” said Bill Martin, a Rice University sociologist
and author of “With God on Their Side: The Rise of the Religious
Right in America.” Grassley, the ranking Republican on the
Senate Finance Committee, is looking at whether the televangelists’
salaries and benefits exceed IRS limits for nonprofits. He has

Covenant) will be presenting the 7th Chinese Congress this year.
The Lausanne Committee website states: Since 1974, leaders have
come together under The Lausanne Covenant to debate and discussion
[of] issues ranging from ministering to specific ethnic groups
to evangelism and social responsibility. This coming together
of leaders now includes Rick Warren who will be a speaker
at this year's Chinese Congress. With Rick Warren's promotion
of Spiritual Formation, contemplative and emerging, this will
mean that world evangelism may take on the characteristics that
will lead millions of people throughout the world into mysticism
and the New Age. According to a document on the Lausanne website,
"the Lausanne Movement was born out of the First International
Congress on World Evangelization called by evangelist Billy Graham
held in Lausanne, Switzerland, in July 1974." In a 2004

have hailed the "Purpose Driven" philosophy; now a
local Catholic church will host a conference espousing

of "Purpose Driven Life" and more than 1 million of
"Purpose Driven Church" and having taught more than
350,000 pastors in the books' philosophy, it might be thought
that Rick Warren's view of Christianity has permeated every branch
of the faith. But the internationally famous pastor of Saddleback
Church in Lake Forest, Calif., and his Purpose Driven staff know
that mainline Protestant, and especially Catholic,
churches have been slow to warm to the message readily picked
up by more evangelical congregations. They hope that a three-day
conference at Holy Family Catholic Church in Inverness starting
Monday will change that by attracting leaders of more conservative
branches that have been reluctant to pick up on the Purpose Driven
model. "That's our prayer," said Pastor Brett Schrock,
Purpose Driven's director of strategic relationships, who will
be one of three people to speak at the conference, which will
not include Warren. "We're excited by this because we're
seeing God unify his churches."

Atlanta megachurch turned himself over to authorities Tuesday
night to face a charge that he lied under oath about his sexual
affairs. A warrant for the arrest of Archbishop Earl Paulk was
issued Monday after a probe by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The longtime pastor of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel
Hill Harvester Church made a deal with the Cobb County Sheriff’s
Office to surrender within 48 hours, said Nancy Bodiford, executive
assistant to Sheriff Neil Warren. Paulk’s attorney, Joel
Pugh, said the warrant took the family by surprise. “We
weren’t expecting the warrant to be issued this quickly,'’
Pugh said. The felony perjury charge against Paulk stems from
a lawsuit against him, his brother Don and the church by Mona
Brewer, a former church employee. The lawsuit alleges that Earl
Paulk manipulated Brewer into an affair from 1989 to 2003 by
telling her it was her only path to salvation. In a 2006 deposition
for the lawsuit, the archbishop said under oath that the only
woman he had ever had sex with outside of his marriage was Brewer.

Atlanta megachurch has been charged with lying under oath, court
documents show. A warrant for the arrest of Archbishop Earl Paulk,
co-founder of Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel Hill Harvester
Church, was issued Monday, according to court documents. Paulk
was making arrangements Monday night to turn himself in to authorities,
WAGA-TV reported. Paulk's attorneys did not immediately return
calls from The Associated Press for comment. Former church employee
Mona Brewer is suing Paulk, his brother, Don, and the church
for allegedly manipulating her into an affair from 1989 to 2003
by telling her it was her only path to salvation. In a 2006 deposition
stemming from the lawsuit, the archbishop said under oath that
the only woman he had ever had sex with outside of his marriage
was Brewer. But the results of a court-ordered paternity test
revealed in October that Paulk is the biological father of his
brother's son, D.E. Paulk, who is now head pastor at the family's
church. As part of Brewer's lawsuit, eight women have given sworn
depositions that they were coerced into sexual relationships
with Earl Paulk. A judge ordered the paternity test at the request
of the Cobb County district attorney's office and the Georgia
Bureau of Investigation, which were investigating Paulk. Cobb
County District Attorney Pat Head declined comment when reached
at his home Monday night. Paulk and his brother, Don, have been
hit with multiple lawsuits from former members alleging they
were coerced into sexual affairs, but this is the first time

23, 2007. Call for Muslim-Christian Unity 'Very Encouraging',
Says Vatican Interfaith Head Muslim Peace Call to Christians
Welcomed. Over 100 theologians, ministry leaders, and prominent
pastors have thus far signed the response letter issued by the
Yale Center for Faith and Culture.
- Signers include Jim Wallis, president of Sojourners; Rick
Warren, founder and senior pastor of Saddleback Church; John
Stott, rector emeritus of All Souls Church in London; and Leith
Anderson, president of the National Association of Evangelicals.
The Christian signatories said they “share the sentiments”
of the Muslim leaders who pointed out that Muslims and Christians
make up over half of the world’ population and therefore
true peace cannot occur as long as conflict persists between
the two religious communities.

of France's senior statesmen have launched an ABB movement –
"Anyone But Blair" – in an attempt to prevent
the former prime minister becoming the first president of the
European Union next year. Although much of the support for Mr
Blair comes from President Nicolas Sarkozy, the former French
president Valéry Giscard d'Estaing and the former prime
minister Edouard Balladur, who is M. Sarkozy's mentor and friend,
have declared Mr Blair to be unfit for the job. Both men say
Europe's first president must come from a country which is fully
committed to all EU policies, including the euro. Mr Balladur
– breaking publicly with President Sarkozy – also says
Mr Blair is too close to the United States to be chosen as a
"fitting spokesman for Europe". Their views are echoed,
off the record, by senior officials in Belgium and Italy. But
Mr Blair is said to have some support in eastern Europe, Germany
and Spain. Whether Mr Blair actually wants the job remains unclear.
- A semi-permanent European president, or president of the
European Council, will be chosen by the 27 member governments
this year. At present, EU business is organised, and ministerial
and summit meetings chaired, by a different government every
six months. Under the EU Reform Treaty now being ratified by
member states, a European Council president will be elected for
two and a half years by a qualified majority of governments.
He or she will take office next year, after all 27 countries
have approved the treaty. The "president of Europe"
would chair summits, and some ministerial meetings but have few
real powers. He or she would serve with the existing presidents
of the European Commission (the EU executive) and the European
Parliament (legislature). But the job is expected to achieve
symbolic importance, especially for the rest of the world. For
the new post to achieve this kind of weight and seriousness,
President Sarkozy says, it must go to a man, or woman, of proven
stature. He began pointing to the possibility of a President
Blair almost as soon as he reached the Elysée Palace last
year. "[Mr Blair] is a very remarkable man," he said
in June. "He is the most European of Britons; it would be
intelligent to think of him."
- Last weekend, M. Sark-ozy invited Mr Blair to address his
centre-right party, the Union Pour un Mouvement Populaire (UMP)
in Paris. Mr Blair, in French, made a passionate plea for a "collective,
united and strong Europe" to face the challenges of the
21st century. This was taken by many of those present as a preliminary
application for the new job in Brussels. Hence the alarmed reaction
of M. Giscard and M. Balladur. M. Giscard, 81, told a committee
of the French National Assembly he would not be a candidate but
added that the job must go only to a politician from a country
which "respected all Europe's commitments" and whose
public opinion was whole-heartedly European. In other words,
no Tony Blair and no Brits. M. Balladur, who was prime minister
from 2003 to 2005, said in the newspaper Le Monde: "To be
accepted by all, the president of the Union must come from a
country... determined to build European independence, especially
in defence and foreign affairs. "How could Mr Blair embody
this ambition when, in the disastrous episode in Iraq, he always
clung zealously to the views of the US or even incited them?
Mr Blair is, for sure, a remarkable person but he cannot be the
symbol of a Europe which wants to exist."

normally associate with the "fair and balanced" Fox
News, Beck featured two guests who BOTH argued against 9/11 truth,

are exactly the kind of people who want to rock this nation's
foundation, tear us apart and plant the seeds of dissatisfaction
in all of us" Beck huffed and puffed while introducing his
yes men.

Arizona Republic editorial cartoonist Steve Benson has strong
opinions about current Mormon Mitt Romney. He said the Republican
candidate’s recent speech on religion should not be trusted
by media people and other Americans. In his talk, Romney said
“I believe in my Mormon faith” while also noting that
the church’s “teachings” would not influence his
decisions if elected president. “Yeah, right,” responded
Benson, adding that “Romney also believes in misrepresenting
what his Mormon Church actually espouses.” Benson is the
grandson of former Mormon leader Ezra Taft Benson. He told E&P
that, in his view, a Mormon believer is required by church doctrine
(as dictated by the church’s “living prophet”)
to “obey God’s commands” over anything else. He
said “Romney, like all ‘temple Mormons,’ made
his secret vows using Masonic-derived handshakes, passwords,
and symbolic death oaths that he promised in the temple never
to reveal to the outside world” — and that Romney also
secretly vowed to devote his “time, talents” and more
“to the building of the Mormon religion on earth.”
So, said Benson, the only way Romney could be truly independent
of the church as U.S. president would be to disavow Mormon doctrine.

- IS THERE AN ID CHIP IN YOUR FUTURE?

- There's a growing movement to forcibly tag or chip your animals
with radio frequency identification devices. Many privacy advocates
believe this could lead to a scarier level: implanting you and
me. Now, there is an effort to stem the tide. Greg Niewendorp
raises cattle in northern Michigan. Time in the saddle is one
of the best parts of the day for this fifth generation farmer.
But these days, he's spending lots of time holed up in his home
office. Why? Niewendorp and other small farmers are fighting
the government's plans to identify and track every single farm
animal in the country.
"Our primary interest is protecting the food supply by having
a rapid system that can reach out and address the needs for the
primary food animals," said USDA Undersecretary Bruce Knight.
On October 8, Michigan AG officials arrived on Niewendorp's farm
with a search warrant. But Niewendorp refused to allow them to
put RFID tags on his cattle and the state chipped his entire
herd. Pressure forced Niewendorp to give in that day, but his
story spread rapidly in farming circles -making him "the
face" of a grass-roots opposition movement. "The tag
goes in the ear. They give me a premises I.D. number. Now they've
got a national number on my cattle, a national number on my land.
I might still technically own the animal but they're controlling
what I can and can't do with it," he said. While this may
be the law in Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana, the USDA insists
the federal identification program is not mandatory.
- Knight said, "It can, it should and it will work on
a voluntary basis." Still, privacy experts say many USDA
programs already require an NAIS number. And small farmers like
Virginian Scott Wilson worry about the cost of buying tags and
tracking animals. "To be effective they're going to need
100 percent participation in this program and that is really
going to put an undue burden on us as small farmers," Wilson
said. The USDA wants to be able to track animals quickly in the
event of a disease outbreak. It believes NAIS will do that and
help encourage confidence in the safety of our food supply -
