They have no function if they let Saddam get away by noncompliance of 16 U.N. Resolutions for decades. :: The next day, Senator Byrd debated for hours lamenting and asking, "are we going into a police state?" when he looked at the language used in the appropriation budget for war. Byrd chairs the Appropriation Committee. He has been in Congress for 50 years slowing the young ones down. He was used to debating in previous years but nobody would listen today. The room was empty except for one who would come and go. "They want to pass this in a hurry." He had a problem with plans to integrate assets into the U.S. military into "all" aspects of the strategy. We seem to have a government within a government just like the CIA which pulled a cloak of secrecy around itself. Senator Jeff Sessions said that we have troops by Iraq already and they fly daily over Iraq. Saddam has moved 80,000 troops to the Kuwait border. :: President Bush has become a role model of more aggressive behavior. Not only did the Prime Minister of Pakistan rewrite his Constitution giving all the power to himself, but Prime Minister Putin attacked Georgia by preemptive strike. The Independent Party is in the center. It has gained one third of electoral votes. By 2010 political parties will cease to exist. He was the head of Intelligence until 1979 when he became head of Iraq. Iraq became a Republic in 1958. Saddam has threatened to torch Saudi Arabia oil fields said editor of "Oil Daily". The U.S. is one of the biggest producers of oil. It is 50% foreign oil dependent. The U.S. is buying 1.5 million barrels of oil a day from Iraq. They wish to raise it to 5 to 7 million barrels a per day. Alaska is not a real alternative, not enough to get to make it worthwhile. President Bush is increasing storage, which is now 7 - 8 month worth to 80 additional days. The editor did not think that changing oil prices at the pump has much of an effect on the U.S. economy. She said that they can't lower the price. It would hurt the U.S. economy. There are 11 members in OPEC. They have a huge lobbie stepping in front of alternative supplies. ----- MILITARY PERSONNEL RESIGNING: ::They don't agree with the U.S. government policy in the Middle East. ----- THE UN MULTILATERAL POLICY VERSUS THE BUSH UNILATERAL POLICY. :: The U.N. Charter prohibits force. There needs to be authorization from the Security Council to proceed into war. There are 5 members on the Security Council: U.S., France, Britain, Russia and China. A Resolution has to be presented to the council. A country can abstain which has no effect on whether the resolution is adapted. :: The reason President Bush has expressed that Iraq is implicated in 9/11, he insists that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. Anticipatory self defense, are reasons for war that could be recognized by the Security Council. :: Saddam has now complicated matters by wanting to comply and neutralize 2 or 3 significant violations to remove himself from the list of reasons for war. Saddam split the Security Council by this maneuver. Putin of Russia and Hussein have an economic interest. ----- PREDICTIONS OF A HORRIBLE WAR :: The professor predicted horrible consequences if we go to war. Iraq would not shy away from using whatever. A similar comment came up by from Ashley's interview with a representative of Iraq when she was in Iraq several weeks prior to this:development. He said weapon's inspectors at this point could become "a slaughter of the lambs." By asking inspectors into Iraq would be to allow them to spy on the weapons he has readied for war. That is why the pitched out before. They are nothing but spies, said Hussein. :: Scott Ritter, a GI and former U.N. weapon's inspector is to be admired to put himself in harms way trying avert a war. His life is being threatened for getting involved. He is using his own money which has been subsidized by benign organizations. He said that he has maxed out 3 credit card traveling to Iraq etc.. When asked were Iraq got their weaponry he said Western Europe which was facilitated by the U.S. Regime removal is the focus and oil is after the fact. :: One of the arguments against war is that there are many countries that have tyrants for leaders. We have military personnel in 104 countries out of 140 countries. We are 5% of the world population. ----- THE BUDGET: :: This year's budget in Washington D.C. Congress is $2 trillion stated a Representative on the Committee. :: The Senate only (excluding the House) wants to reinstate the PAY GO Rules to which only one person objected. Graham objected that the Senate planned to exclude the House rule on this issue. Pay Go means that money is spent as it comes in, which includes Social Security and all surplus can be used up for administrative costs. Pay as you Go only effects direct spending and has no effect on the "continuing resolution (a status when there is no budget passed)." :: What is in effect is a boundary of $760 billion to slow down the train before it crashes. A former White House Budget director said what is going to happen when the equity on homes, the only savings that people now are forced to dip into, erodes when they raise interest rates. ----- SOME OF TAMPA MILITARY BASE MOVED TO AFGHANISTAN :: President Bush has decided to move a part of the Tampa base to Afghanistan to bring the military headquarters closer to Iraq and they will have a certain amount of privacy. I heard him place an order for 6 + or - military ships costing in the billions of dollars. ----- FRANKLIN GRAHAM BUILDING A HOSPITAL IN AFGHANISTAN :: Last I checked Franklin Graham's whereabouts, he is building a hospital in Afghanistan and the military occupation in Afghanistan are building infrastructure there. The New World Order marches on. There is a law in US that grants ownership of land that has been trespassed at a certain point to the frequent tresspasser. The law grants that right to possession without a purchase. ----- GAINS THAT ARE ECONOMICALLY EFFICIENT :: Believe it or not, 'economic efficiency' is the culprit that caused the thousands of dedicated, hardworking Americans to lose their investments and retirement incomes. Why, because this law has been practiced and taught in law schools over the last 15 to 20 years. This philosophy has to do with the New World Order which is about money. It teaches that a manager may break the law if it is financially more efficient, in other words more economically efficient. The motto is to pay the fine. The financial world apparently is not based on morality anymore. :: This concept came up when Cynthia Williams, a Professor at the Law School of the University of Illinois College, was asked where the morality was in these CEOs who raised their earnings up to 575%, pay no taxes, get hundreds of millions of tax rebates even though they do mostly off shore transactions and walk away with billions without a jail sentence. :: Professor Williams stated that every time there are stock holder's decisions they are supposed to file a statement to the FCC and the FCC is underfunded. They do not have the personnel to evaluate thousands upon thousands of these filings. There is literally no enforcement. :: 85% of the CEOs admit that they cheat at golf. The rule for corporate accountability is accurate financial statements which are critical to the market and they are required to show accountability and maximize the shareholder's wealth not their own. The CEOs work for the shareholders. They are hired by them. $2 trillion dollars worth of records relating to social economic matters of public interest are not available nor disclosed. Consumers have lost $6 trillion to corporations and where are the penalties? :: The crash of 1929 lasted four years. 80% of stock was lost during that time. Only 2% of American citizens owned stock compared to 50% today. The shareholders are out of the loop. They have no voice. They have no idea that the philosophy of law and economics does not protect them. To violate the law if it increases profit is taught by 80% of the teachers and pounded into student's heads, was said at this conference about corporate crime. It facilitates economic efficiency. If a manager should violate a law to make gains, only the CEO wins. It pays well to breach a contract, do it because it is economically efficient. The fines don't go the shareholder but the government. The result has the effect of what is happening. The reason the CEOs stayed quiet about their deeds was to maximize their take. :: The Reagan administration was about economics and globalism. Deregulation of the market is behind it. The report charged among other things that the authorities had failed to investigate the possibility that two of the hijackers, Saudis named Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaq Alhazmi, received Saudi money from two Saudi men they met with in California in the year before the attacks. The committee's preliminary findings, which also accuse the Saudi government of a lack of cooperation with American investigators, have caused a bitter behind-the-scenes dispute between the panel's staff and officials at the F.B.I. and the C.I.A. At each agency, officials have disagreed with the draft findings, saying investigators vigorously pursued all available information related to Saudi Arabia... In a rebuttal report sent to the committee in recent days, the F.B.I. has tried to disprove several specific allegations by the committee. One of them was about Mr. Midhar and Mr. Alhazmi, who lived in San Diego a year before the attacks. While in California, the two met with Omar al-Bayoumi and Osama Bassnan, each of whom was receiving financial support from the Saudi government. The Bush administration has sought to maintain close ties with Riyadh even as investigators examining the backgrounds of the hijackers have complained that they have received little cooperation from the Saudi government. The tension between the joint inquiry staff and the F.B.I. and C.I.A. is the latest to evolve from the inquiry into lapses by intelligence and law enforcement agencies related to the Sept. 11 attacks. Saudi officials have denied doing anything intentionally to help the 19 hijackers, of whom 15 were from their country. Foreign policy adviser Adel al-Jubeir said Sunday, "We will be merciless against people in the war on terrorism." The FBI is investigating financial records indicating that Princess Haifa al-Faisal, wife of the Saudi ambassador, wrote monthly checks that ultimately went into the accounts of Omar al-Bayoumi and Osama Basnan. "If it's the royal family, (that) needs to be brought out," said Alabama Sen. Richard Shelby, top Republican on the intelligence panel. He said Saudi officials, despite their alignment with the United States, have promoted shady charities and fundamentalist strains of Islam that are hostile to America. "The Saudi royal family been engaged in a Faustian bargain for years to keep themselves in power." ----- BUSH BUSHED BY ADVISERS ABOUT FACE :: Dana Milbank, Washington Post - President Bush is taken aback by a Janus-faced establishment's agenda shift. The mildmannered multiculturalism of 'Don't call it a Crusade, George!' has given way to the multilateralist aggression of 'This is Lepanto, World War Four, Islam versus the free world, the ultimate clash of civilisations!' The President finds himself in disagreement with the 'neo-conservative' radicals in his party over his efforts to portray Islam as a peaceful religion not responsible for anti-American terrorism. He has persistently called for tolerance of Muslims and described Islam as "a faith based upon peace and love and compassion" and committed to "morality and learning and tolerance." He told UN Secretary General Kofi Annan: "Some of the comments that have been uttered about Islam do not reflect the sentiments of my government or the sentiments of most Americans. Islam, as practiced by the vast majority of people, is a peaceful religion, a religion that respects others. Ours is a country based upon tolerance, Mr Secretary General, and we respect the faith and we welcome people of all faiths in America.' He exhorted the American public: 'Millions of our fellow citizens are Muslim. We respect the faith. We honor its traditions. Our enemy does not. Both the Bush administration and moderate governments in Arab and Muslim nations are struggling to prevent War On Terrorism from becoming what Osama bin Laden wants: a clash of civilizations, between the judeo-christian West and a resentful impoverished muslim world. But foreign policy hawks with advisory roles in the Bush administration have joined religious conservatives in taking issue with Bush's characterizations. They say the claim is dishonest and destined to fail. Kenneth Adelman, a former Reagan official who serves on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board, says: "The more you examine the religion, the more militaristic it seems. After all, its founder, Mohammed, was a warrior, not a peace advocate like Jesus." Another member of the Pentagon advisory board, Eliot Cohen of Johns Hopkins School Of Advanced International Studies, wrote an article on Wall Street Journal's editorial page arguing that the enemy of the US is not terrorism but militant Islam: "The enemy has an ideology and an hour spent surfing the web will give the average citizen at least the kind of insights that he or she might have found during World Wars II and III by reading Mein Kampf or the writings of Lenin, Stalin or Mao. Nobody would like to think that a major world religion has a deeply aggressive and dangerous strain in it: a strain often excused or misrepresented in the name of good feelings. But uttering uncomfortable unpleasant truths is one of the things that defines leadership." Norman Podhoretz in Commentary magazine wrote: "Certainly not all Muslims are terrorists. But it would be dishonest to ignore the plain truth that Islam has become an especially fertile breeding-ground of terrorism in our time. This can only mean there is something in the religion itself that legitimizes the likes of Osama bin Laden. The elements of this new system are already familiar from President Bush's orders and his aides' policy statements and legal briefs: indefinite military detention for those designated "enemy combatants," liberal use of "material witness" warrants, counterintelligence-style wiretaps, and searches led by law enforcement officials and for noncitizens trial by military commissions or deportation after strictly closed hearings. For example under authority it already is asserting in court cases, the administration with approval of the special Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court could order a clandestine search of a US citizen's home and based on the information gathered secretly declare the citizen an enemy combatant to be held indefinitely at a US military base. Courts would have very limited authority to second-guess the detention, to the extent that they were aware of it. At least one American has been shifted from the ordinary legal system into the parallel one: alleged al Qaeda "dirty bomb" plotter Jose Padilla, who is being held at a Navy brig, without the right to communicate with a lawyer or anyone else. The reason their taxes are higher, education and healthcare are free. French workers rather than asking how much they are going to get in dollars, they want to know how much time off they get when they apply for a job. Young French people have different priorities. Leisure takes first place and then money. Changes yet to be accomplished to comply with globalization in France are: pensions, privatization, people from the private sector entering politics will find a huge salary difference. The deficiencies have to be delt with. They have to become efficient, the housing shortage has to be solved and they have to become committed to the principle of solidarity.
