We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth: out of the cult of Mormonism. The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church which doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word of God has undergone many changes to fit the present mode. The Bible calls for a falling away from the truth before Jesus comes back for His Bride, the true believers are called 'Ekklesia.' The article stated: American Protestant Pastor Rick Warren on Monday said there was no peace in the region without Syria, noting that 80 percent of the American people rejected what the US Administration is doing in Iraq and considered the US policy in the Mideast as wrong. Syria's Grand Mufti Sheikh Badr al-Din Hassoun received the American Pastor in Damascus in which he referred to the importance of spreading culture of amity, peace and coexistence instead of the "clash of civilizations." The article said that the Grand Mufti asked Warren to convey to the American people Syria's desire for peace. Warren, according to the article, told the Grand Mufti he admired Syria. Two weeks ago he left for Lithuania and Hungary to share with pastors there these doctrines that are heading their way. To direct people on a spiritual journey for 40 days, Rick Warren wrote The Purpose Driven Life. The bestselling book has impacted millions of persons. Some of Pastor Warren's purpose involves recommendations for "Becoming Best Friends with God." To become God's friends, the author shares six secrets, one of which is practicing God's presence by being in "constant conversation" with him. After quoting 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ("pray without ceasing"), Warren asks how a Christian can practice unceasing prayer to which he answers, "One way is to use 'breath prayers' throughout the day, as many Christians have done for centuries. You choose a brief sentence or a simple phrase that can be repeated in one breath." Then after providing ten examples of short biblical phrases that could work as breath prayers, Warren advises "Pray it as often as possible so it is rooted deep in your heart."[1] In this context Warren also cites the book of Brother Lawrence (c.1605-1691), The Practice of the Presence of God, who advocated experiencing God's presence in the most menial of circumstances by praying short conversational prayers throughout the day. The Roman Catholic practice of praying the rosary is akin to breath prayers. In the course of our waking hours, think of how many times we breathe--hundreds and hundreds, even thousands per day. So to pray "breath prayers" means that like breathing, I am to intermittently say the same short prayer over and over again during the course of a day. Advocates of breath prayers recommend the discipline of repeatedly breathing out a short biblical phrase of prayer. For example, in the parable of The Pharisee and the Publican (Luke 18:9-14), Jesus portrayed a tax collector who in repentance and humility, cried out, "God, be merciful to me, the sinner!'" The use of the terminology "gathering" has been growing exponentially the past few years in evangelical circles. It is word that is included in the names of various organizations, conferences, prayer events, etc. Believers assume that it simply means "where two or three are gathered together in my name" (Matthew 18:20). That is one traditional meaning of the term. But it also has a "transitional" and "transformational" meaning. A transitional meaning is "new understanding" put on a traditional biblical concept. A transformational meaning is often hidden or veiled because it parallels a New Age concept.So how do we find out what is meant by the term "gathering"? Whenever one wants to know the meaning of a new doctrine, or the meaning of a new interpretation of Scripture, the most readily accessible source is the Latter Rain "prophets." We are facing present pressures and a present and future manipulation which will be so overwhelming in the days to come that they will make the battles of the last forty years look like child's play." Francis Schaeffer, The Church at the End of the 20th Century-- 1970 "The liberal theologians in their stress on community speak and act as though we become Christians when we enter the horizontal relationship of community. But this is totally the wrong starting-point. If this were so, Christianity would have no more final value than the humanistic community." Schaeffer "Whenever men say they are looking for greater reality, we must show them at once the reality of true Christianity. This is real because it is concerned with the God who is there and who has spoken to us about Himself, not just the use of the symbol 'god' or 'christ' which sounds spiritual but is not. The men who merely use the symbol ought to be pessimists, for the mere word god or the idea god is not a sufficient base for the optimism they display.... "This is the kind of 'believism' which is demanded by this theology.... It is no more than a jump into an undefinable, irrational, semantic mysticism." The Scriptures tell us that Satan and his ministers actually "transform themselves" into angels of light, apostles of Christ and ministers of righteousness... For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. II Cor. 11:13-15 How does this transformation happen? Occult sources state that "transformation" is the outcome of a series of processes called initiation into the Eastern or Western Mysteries, which Scripture terms "the depths of Satan" (Rev. 2:24). As the born-again Christian becomes a new creation in Christ (Acts 7:42-3) and is indwelt by the Holy Spirit (John 14:17), the person who experiences occult initiation is transformed into a new creature in Satan and is indwelt by one or more devils. We are told that the adepts and masters—the chosen few who have gone beyond the Lesser Mysteries and enter the Greater Mysteries—ascend to the very Throne of God and are "deified". Deification, of course, is only an illusion; however, these high level initiates, having experienced the 'depths of Satan', are indwelt by a personality that is not their own. The Proposed Guidelines on Pastoral Care of Homosexuals The USCCB Committee on Doctrine began work on the “Guidelines” in the fall of 2002. Drafts of the 23 page document were later circulated to members of the Committees for Canonical Affairs, Catechesis, Marriage and Family, and Pastoral Practices. This is not the first time the American bishops have addressed the issue of special ministries and pastoral care for homosexuals. On September 30, 1997, the Administrative Committee of the NCCB approved the pro-homosexual statement “Always Our Children” that was released by the Committee on Marriage and Family without a formal vote by the entire hierarchical body. By the time the bishops arrived that November for their annual meeting in Washington, D.C., the document was a fait accompli. Only later did the news leak out that three homosexual clerics had participated in the drafting of the statement that was championed by the late Joseph Cardinal Bernardin of Chicago. “Gay” ministries such as the NACDLGM (National Association of Catholic Diocesan Lesbian and Gay Ministries), New Ways Ministry, Dignity, and non-medically-based “AIDS ministries” have been operational at the national and diocesan levels of the American Church for several decades now with uniformly disastrous results · “Gay” ministries transform parishes into political and propaganda cells for “gay” activism. · “Gay” ministries discourage the individual homosexual from breaking with the Homosexual Collective that frowns upon “defectors.” · “Gay” ministries recruit - like the Army – especially among vulnerable youth. · “Gay” ministries plunder parish resources – financial and otherwise. · “Gay” ministries undermine authentic Church teachings on Faith and morals. · “Gay” ministries systematically strip parishioners of every vestige of natural revulsion that the normal person experiences when initially confronted by sexual perversion. Full story: http://www.cephas-library.com/catholic_u.s.coalirion_for_life_action_alert.html -----   < TED HAGGARD'S ACCUSER   MAN-CENTERED PSYCHOLOGY EVANGELISM FAILED TED HAGGARD BECAUSE IT IS GODLESS The whole debacle of Ted Haggard's 'moral failure' points to a glaring issue columnists and pundits have only lightly touched on, if at all, and is the point that is the very heart of the Ted's fall: Ted is not saved. No one can repeatedly and willfully sin against God in such a depraved way for three years and be a Christian, never mind a Pastor and leader of a Christian association of Evangelicals. It goes against the very nature of being a Christian to willfully continue to sin. Unless a man is born again he is not a Christian, he will not enter Heaven, PERIOD. 'Believing?'is not enough; salvation requires an absolute change of mind, an absolute house cleaning must take place of all you believe and think and trust in. I remember the first weeks of my conversion with fondness as God, along with many other freeing results, corrected the very definitions of the words I had used so loosely before. Words like 'success' and 'love' and 'abundant' and 'sin.' So let's be clear right off: Sin is the violation of God's Law, the Ten Commandments. If you have ever lied, stolen or lusted you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart, guilty before God and headed for Hell, which you deserve. So let's move on. Why evangelicals are so afraid to call as 'sin' what Ted has done only indicates a lack of desire for personal introspection; an absence of the Fear of Yahweh. Ted didn't have a 'moral failure' as Dr. Dobson labeled this obviously rotten fruit on Ted's dead tree. No, Ted SINNED. No other definition is warranted. And not just once or twice, but over and over and over, demonstrating no fear of God, no remorse and that he did not have God's Spirit indwelling him. The Christian cannot live willfully continuing to sin 'in habitual sin' his very life would come to a steady halt until he faces his evil heart. The Spirit of God will not let a Christian dodge the truth. Ted doesn't need psychological counseling, he needs repentance. God has given Ted a wonderful gift, seeing himself clearly in the Law of God. And the Law of God is perfect, converting the soul. This is Ted Haggard's greatest hour because now he knows he is in danger of hellfire. Now Ted can be honest with himself and with God. If Ted Haggard humbles himself and admits honestly his sin he can be saved by Jesus when he trusts Christ's sacrifice to be his sin's payment, submitting to God's will for his life. No my friends, psychology didn't help Ted because psychology is godless, does not convict, because it does not define sins, provides no way for a man to be freed of his lusts. Ted needs Jesus to be saved from Hell. Ted must surrender to Yahweh utterly in humble submission for the forgiveness of his sins, the violation of the law, not to try harder to 'be good.' Ted violated the 6th commandment specifically: He had sex outside of marriage. But, no, just how many commandments did Ted violate? Ted can answer these questions for himself, and you, reader, can evaluate yourself as well, with the Law of God: 1. Do you put God FIRST in your life always? Have you ever failed to do so? 2. Did you make a god you could be comfortable in your sins with? This is idolatry. 3. Did you ever us God's name without honor; Use God's name as a four-letter filth word to express disgust; Dishonor Gods name like Ted did, as he preached acting like he knew God all the while harboring sins that demonstrate he could not be His? This is blasphemy. 4. Did you end from your own WORKS, resting in the finished work of Jesus DAILY, running to Jesus to be free of evil? If not, this is not honoring God's Sabbath Rest for you. 5. Did you ever dishonor your claimed Father in Heaven by living a lie and causing all the world to hiss at Jesus? This is dishonoring your parents. Certainly such actions would dishonor any parent. 6. Did Ted murder those who raised him, with his anger, blaming them for not raising him right, instead of knowing Ted Haggard was the only one to hold accountable for his sins? Did you ever get angry without cause? This is murder. 7. Did you commit adultery; commit fornication or homosexuality? Did you commit adultery against God for being unfaithful to Him? 8. Did you ever steal? Did Ted steal the time of all who listened to his sermons, wasting their time with LIES - for whatever you speak of as being true, that you do not believe yourself, is called a lie. 9. Did Ted lie to everyone who knew him; lie to Yahweh when he claimed to trust in Him; lie to his wife when he said he would be faithful to her? All Liars will have their place in the lake of fire. 10. And did you desire what was not yours to have? This is covetousness, or being greedy. If any of us violate the Law of God our sentence is Hell, our just reward from a Righteous and Holy Judge. But God doesn't want Ted or you to go to Hell. God has made the way if you want to be forgiven. But Jesus is your only hope: Only Jesus Saves. Make Psalm 51 your prayer and surrender to Jesus as Lord, believing He alone can save you, confessing all your Law violations to Him, all your sins you have committed. Haggard said "the primary goal is not to win Muslims to Christ, but to "serve the Islamic people.” We believe it is the role of Christians to befriend people in the Islamic community to ensure their “peace and safety." (An odd phrase that certainly pertains to end times!!) Scientific liberals says it would be “immoral to prevent it just because of a 'yuck' factor." Stating that “stem cell research is one of the most promising areas of medical science.” Stem cells are the body's master cells and five-day-old embryos are packed with them - each with the potential to turn into any tissue in the body. It is this ability which scientists want to harness to treat diseases such as Parkinson's Disease, strokes and Alzheimer's Disease. To do that, scientists say that they need to have access to thousands of (human) embryos for research. The problem is, it is not easy to get a ready supply of human embryos, which in essence kills the potential baby. That is why scientists want to use cow’s eggs as a substitute. They would insert human DNA into a cow's egg which has had its genetic material removed, and then create an embryo by the same technique that produced Dolly the Sheep. The resulting embryo would be 99.9% human; the only bovine element would be the DNA outside the nucleus of the cell. Still this would not be 100% human and you are messing with God’s creation! Technically this “moo-man” would still be classified as a chimera. A Bio-ethicist from Scotland remarked that, “The research undermined the distinction between animals and humans. In the history of humankind, animals and human species have been separated. In this kind of procedure, you are mixing at a very intimate level animal eggs and human chromosomes, and you may begin to undermine the whole distinction between humans and animals. Until this week, the issue was bottled up in a Republican-controlled Congress, as Democrats met defeat in both committee and the House floor. But a sweeping left-wing victory may change that. Detractors have relegated Net Neutrality to a partisan issue, which, if looking at the voting record in Congress, certainly seems that way. The few Republicans that were on the fence were often pressured by party leaders to fall in line. MoveOn.org's Adam Green related that Representative Joe Barton (R-TX), the now lame duck Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, pressured Republican no-votes on Net Neutrality while in committee with not-so-subtle "the chairman strongly recommends a no vote" on this issue. What had detonated the mild-mannered CNN anchor? Dr. Robert Pastor, vice chair of the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on North America, had just appeared before a panel of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations -- to call for erasing all U.S. borders and a merger of the United States, Mexico and Canada in a North American union stretching from Prudhoe Bay to Guatemala. Under the Pastor-CFR plan, the illegal alien invasion would be solved by eliminating America's borders and legalizing the invasion. We would no longer defend the Rio Grande. "What we need to do," Pastor instructed, "is forge a new North American Community. ... Instead of stopping North Americans on the borders, we ought to provide them with a secure, biometric Border Pass that would ease transit across the border like an E-Z pass permits our cars to speed through tolls." The Pastor-CFR project, for "economic integration" of Mexamerica, is on the drawing board. North-south highways and railways would be built to weld us together as the American Union was welded together by the Northern Pacific, Union Pacific and Southern Pacific, and Ike's Interstate Highway System. Speaking in Madrid in 2002, Mexican President Vicente Fox declared: "Our long-range objective is to establish with the United States ... an ensemble of connections and institutions similar to those created by the European Union, with the goal of attending to future themes as important as ... the freedom of movement of capital, goods, services and persons. The new framework we wish to construct is inspired in the example of the European Union." Critical element of the Fox post-NAFTA agenda: absolute freedom of movement for persons between Mexico and the United States -- a merger of the nations. Foreign Secretary Luis Ernesto Debrez put it succinctly in April 2005. What Mexico is about is "complete integration" of the two nations. To appreciate what Fox, Debrez, Pastor and the CFR wish America to merge with, consider a few excerpts from the State Department information sheet on Mexico. While hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens marched beneath Mexican flags in U.S. cities on May Day to demand amnesty, Mexico's constitution "prohibits political activities by foreigners, and such actions may result in detentions and deportations." "Crime in Mexico continues at high levels, and it is often violent, especially in Mexico City, Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez, Nuevo Laredo (and) Acapulco," State warns U.S. travelers. "Low apprehension rates and conviction rates of criminals contribute to the high crime rate." "Women traveling alone are especially vulnerable Victims ... have been raped, robbed of personal property or abducted and then held while their credit cards are used at various businesses and automatic teller machines. ... Kidnapping, including the kidnapping of non-Mexicans, continues at alarming rates." When Fox proposed his merger of America and Mexico in a North American Union, Robert Bartley, for 30 years editorial page editor of The Wall Street Journal, declared him a "visionary" and pledged solidarity: "He (Fox) can rest assured that there is one voice north of the Rio Grande that supports his vision ... this newspaper." The American people never supported NAFTA, and they are angry over Bush's failure to secure the border -- but a shotgun marriage between our two nations appears prearranged. Central feature: a ten-lane, 400-yard-wide NAFTA Super Highway from the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, up to and across the U.S. border, all the way to Canada. Within the median strip dividing the north and south car and truck lanes would be rail lines for both passengers and freight traffic, and oil and gas pipelines. As author Jerome Corsi describes this Fox-Bush autobahn, container ships from China would unload at Lazaro Cardenas, a port named for the Mexican president who nationalized all U.S. oil companies in 1938. From there, trucks with Mexican drivers would run fast lines into the United States, hauling their cargo to a U.S. customs inspection terminal -- in Kansas City, Mo. From there, the trucks would fan out across America or roll on into Canada. Similar super-highways from Mexico through the United States into Canada are planned. According to Corsi, construction of the Trans-Texas Corridor, the first leg of the NAFTA Super Highway, is to begin next year. The beneficiaries of this NAFTA Super Highway project would be the contractors who build it and the importers and outlet stores for the Chinese-manufactured goods that would come flooding in. The losers would be U.S. longshoremen, truckers, manufacturers and taxpayers. The latter would pay the cost of building the highway in Mexico and the United States, both in dollars and in the lost sovereignty of our once-independent American republic. 2006 HUMAN EVENTS. http://www.humanevents.com/ ----- BUILDING A NORTH AMERICAN COMMUNITY The idea to form the North American Union as a super-NAFTA knitting together Canada, the United States and Mexico into a super-regional political and economic entity was a key agreement resulting from the March 2005 meeting held at Baylor University in Waco, Tex., between President Bush, President Fox and Prime Minister Martin. A joint statement published by the three presidents following their Baylor University summit announced the formation of an initial entity called, “The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America” (SPP). The joint statement termed the SPP a “trilateral partnership” that was aimed at producing a North American security plan as well as providing free market movement of people, capital, and trade across the borders between the three NAFTA partners: We will establish a common approach to security to protect North America from external threats, prevent and respond to threats within North America, and further streamline the secure and efficient movement of legitimate, low-risk traffic across our borders. A working agenda was established: We will establish working parties led by our ministers and secretaries that will consult with stakeholders in our respective countries. These working parties will respond to the priorities of our people and our businesses, and will set specific, measurable, and achievable goals. The U.S. Department of Commerce has produced a SPP website, which documents how the U.S. has implemented the SPP directive into an extensive working agenda. Following the March 2005 meeting in Waco, Tex., the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) published in May 2005 a task force report titled “Building a North American Community.” We have already documented that this CFR task force report calls for a plan to create by 2010 a redefinition of boundaries such that the primary immigration control will be around the three countries of the North American Union, not between the three countries. We have argued that a likely reason President Bush has not secured our border with Mexico is that the administration is pushing for the establishment of the North American Union. The North American Union is envisioned to create a super-regional political authority that could override the sovereignty of the United States on immigration policy and trade issues. In his June 2005 testimony to the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Robert Pastor, the Director of the Center for North American Studies at American University, stated clearly the view that the North American Union would need a super-regional governance board to make sure the United States does not dominate the proposed North American Union once it is formed: NAFTA has failed to create a partnership because North American governments have not changed the way they deal with one another. Dual bilateralism, driven by U.S. power, continue to govern and irritate. Adding a third party to bilateral disputes vastly increases the chance that rules, not power, will resolve problems. This trilateral approach should be institutionalized in a new North American Advisory Council. Unlike the sprawling and intrusive European Commission, the Commission or Council should be lean, independent, and advisory, composed of 15 distinguished individuals, 5 from each nation. Its principal purpose should be to prepare a North American agenda for leaders to consider at biannual summits and to monitor the implementation of the resulting agreements. Pastor was a vice chairman of the CFR task force that produced the report “Building a North American Union.” Pastor also proposed the creation of a Permanent Tribunal on Trade and Investment with the view that “a permanent court would permit the accumulation of precedent and lay the groundwork for North American business law.” The intent is for this North American Union Tribunal would have supremacy over the U.S. Supreme Court on issues affecting the North American Union, to prevent U.S. power from “irritating” and retarding the progress of uniting Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. into a new 21st century super-regional governing body. Robert Pastor also advises the creation of a North American Parliamentary Group to make sure the U.S. Congress does not impede progress in the envisioned North American Union. He has also called for the creation of a North American Customs and Immigration Service which would have authority over U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) within the Department of Homeland Security. Pastor’s 2001 book “Toward a North American Community” called for the creation of a North American Union that would perfect the defects Pastor believes limit the progress of the European Union. Much of Pastor’s thinking appears aimed at limiting the power and sovereignty of the United States as we enter this new super-regional entity. Pastor has also called for the creation of a new currency which he has coined the “Amero,” a currency that is proposed to replace the U.S. dollar, the Canadian dollar, and the Mexican peso. If President Bush had run openly in 2004 on the proposition that a prime objective of his second term was to form the North American Union and to supplant the dollar with the “Amero,” we doubt very much that President Bush would have carried Ohio, let alone half of the Red State majority he needed to win re-election. Pursuing any plan that would legalize the conservatively estimated 12 million illegal aliens now in the United States could well spell election disaster for the Republican Party in 2006, especially for the House of Representative where every seat is up for grabs.
