The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
and today's church doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word
of God has undergone many changes to fit the progressive modes.
Many new Bible translations have brought confusion. The Bible
calls for a falling away from the truth before
Jesus comes back for His Bride. The true believers are called
'Ekklesia.' Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the
Bible is true from beginning to end.

where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, the so called democratizing what is left of the world.
This is a deception since the underlying new world global government
is developed by implementing sustainable development. The
Bible prophesies that there will be ten kings (ten horns), each
king (horn) will receive a region of the world as a reward for
work well done for the Antichrist. This is the reason for the
present development of NAU (The North American Union) as well
as the war in the Middle East. It again proves that we are moving
to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible.
The end result will not be Democracy but a form of Fascist Communism
(Public/Private Corporations enslaving mankind).

teachings because Israel is the time piece of the Biblical Prophecy.
1948 was the beginning of the figtree representing Israel, coming
back to life. Israel was allowed to return to its land. Israel
is the rock upon which the world stumbles and crumbles. We watch
and visit Israel for signs which point to the Tribulation to
confirm that we are moving into that space of time.

 ISRAEL AS A PRINCE HAST THOU POWER

The Word 'Israel' is mentioned 2300 times in the Bible. In the
Hebrew and Chaldee Dictionary #3478 Yisrael from #8260 and #410
he will rule as God and typical of his posterity - Israel.
"And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but
Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with
men, and hast prevailed." (Genesis 32:28)

The Knights Templar, the medieval Christian military order accused
of heresy and sexual misconduct, will soon be partly rehabilitated
when the Vatican publishes trial documents it had closely guarded
for 700 years. A reproduction of the minutes of trials against
the Templars, Processus Contra Templarios - Papal Inquiry into
the Trial of the Templars is a massive work and much more than
a book - with a 5,900 euros ($9,332) price tag. "This is
a milestone because it is the first time that these documents
are being released by the Vatican, which gives a stamp of authority
to the entire project," said Professor Barbara Frale, a
medievalist at the Vatican's Secret Archives. "Nothing before
this offered scholars original documents of the trials of the
Templars," she said. The epic comes in a soft leather case
that includes a large-format book including scholarly commentary,
reproductions of original parchments in Latin, and - to tantalise
Templar buffs - replicas of the wax seals used by 14th-century
inquisitors. Only 799 numbered copies have been made. One parchment
measuring about half a metre wide by some two metres long is
so detailed that it includes reproductions of stains and imperfections
seen on the originals. Pope Benedict will be given the first
set of the work, published by the Vatican Secret Archives in
collaboration with Italy's Scrinium cultural foundation, which
acted as curator and will have exclusive world distribution rights.

with 138 Muslim scholars by Samir Khalil Samir, sj Vatican representatives
and Muslim thinkers will meet in Rome next March to hammer out
a few guidelines for dialogue between Christians and Muslims.
There is a risk of hollowness or falsity if the dialogue addresses
theology alone, and not the concrete problems of the two communities.

XVI arrives in the United States next week his message will most
likely include some positive paternal encouragement for American
Catholics. During the Holy Father’s visit he will participate
in multi events that are intended to address the entire cross
section of American Catholics and pastorally motivate Catholics
to stand firm in their Catholic beliefs. One of the subjects
most likely to come up is the continued presence of the United
States in Iraq. Ever since the American lead coalition that overthrew
Saddam Hussein, the Vatican has consistently voiced it’s
displeasure against the morality of a preemptive war. It seems,
now in the first of Benedict’s visits to the United States
as the Catholic Church’s chief bridge builder, the responsibility
of negotiating new international bridges towards global peace

CHICAGO - In his first major public address since a cancer crisis,
Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential
candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world"
that the U.S. will change for the better. The 74-year-old Farrakhan,
addressing an estimated crowd of 20,000 people at the annual
Saviours' Day celebration, never outrightly endorsed Obama but
spent most of the nearly two-hour speech praising the Illinois
senator. "This young man is the hope of the entire world
that America will change and be made better," he said. "This
young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and
yellow. If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the
effect of his words, those people are being transformed."
Farrakhan compared Obama to the religion's founder, Fard Muhammad,
who also had a white mother and black father. "A black man
with a white mother became a savior to us," he told the
crowd of mostly followers. "A black man with a white mother
could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall."
Farrakhan also leveled small jabs at Hillary Rodham Clinton,
Obama's rival for the Democratic nomination, suggesting that
she represents the politics of the past and has been engaging
in dirty politics.

has been clear in his objections to Minister Farrakhan's past
pronouncements and has not solicited the minister's support."
Farrakhan rebuilt the Nation of Islam, which promotes black empowerment
and nationalism, in the late 1970s after W.D. Mohammed, the son
of longtime leader Elijah Mohammed, moved his followers toward
mainstream Islam. Farrakhan has drawn attention for calling Judaism
a "gutter religion" and suggesting crack cocaine might
have been a CIA plot to enslave blacks. In recent years, however,
officials with the Nation of Islam have promoted unity and tolerance
among religions. Farrakhan now often quotes the texts of other
religions, such as the Bible, in his speeches. Farrakhan's keynote
address at McCormick Place, the city's convention center, wrapped
up three days of events geared at unifying followers and targeting
youth. It had a different tone from a year ago, when Farrakhan
made what was called his final public address at a Saviours'
Day event in Detroit. The 74-year-old was recovering from complications
from prostate cancer and months earlier had temporarily passed
on leadership duties of the organization's day-to-day activities
to an executive board.

- MORMONS AND EVANGELICALS CROSS RELIGIOUS BARRIERS
More than 500 Mormons and Evangelicals met last month (April)
at the Tempe Institute of Religion at Arizona State University
to participate in an interfaith dialogue hosted by Greater Phoenix
Latter-day Saints Interfaith Council and the Arizona Ecumenical
Council. "A Conversation Between a Mormon and an Evangelical"
was led by the Reverend Gregory Johnson, founding pastor of Ogden
Valley Baptist Church in Utah, and Robert Millet, dean emeritus
of religious education at Brigham Young University in Provo,
Utah. The two have been leading similar "conversations"
since 2001. Last November they published the book "Bridging
the Divide: The Continuing Conversation Between a Mormon and
an Evangelical" which contains excerpts of the public dialogues.

- LEGALIZATION OF POLYGAMY MAY NOT BE THAT FAR AWAY
- ".. Barnard says, “If consenting adults want to
practice polygamy based upon their religious beliefs, I think
the Constitution and ultimately the U.S. Supreme Court will uphold
that right.”

of case to get to the highest court in the land. “One of
the things that’s going to be necessary in order to get
that issue resolved is a clean case, if you will. Not a case
where there’s also welfare fraud or statutory rape or anything

would have a good chance of eventually winning in court.

 Carolyn Jessop was born into the
Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a
group splintered from and renounced by the Mormon Church, and
spent most of her life in Colorado City, Arizona, the main base
of the FLDS. Since leaving the group in 2003, she has lived in
West Jordan, Utah, with her eight children. Jessop is the author
of Escape, the first-person account of life inside an ultra-fundamentalist
American religious sect, and one woman’s flight to freedom

- ANCIENT TABLET IGNITES DEBATE ON MESSIAH AND RESURRECTION

6, 2008 A three-foot-tall tablet with 87 lines of Hebrew that
scholars believe dates from the decades just before the birth
of Jesus is causing a quiet stir in biblical and archaeological
circles, especially because it may speak of a messiah who will
rise from the dead after three days. If such a messianic description
really is there, it will contribute to a developing re-evaluation
of both popular and scholarly views of Jesus, since it suggests
that the story of his death and resurrection was not unique but
part of a recognized Jewish tradition at the time. The tablet,
probably found near the Dead Sea in Jordan according to some
scholars who have studied it, is a rare example of a stone with
ink writings from that era — in essence, a Dead Sea Scroll
on stone. It is written, not engraved, across two neat columns,
similar to columns in a Torah. But the stone is broken, and some
of the text is faded, meaning that much of what it says is open
to debate.

its role in helping to understand the roots of Christianity in
the devastating political crisis faced by the Jews of the time

- LORRI MACGREGOR, VICTIM OF CANADIAN GOVERNMENT ANTI-CHRISTIANITY

MacGregor has been in existence since 1979, but, she says, “The
Canadian government no longer allows critiques of other faiths,
even if done fairly and documented thoroughly. Freedom of speech
guaranteed under our Charter in Canada does not extend to charities,
I was bluntly told…we now cannot be persuasive when presenting
Christianity.” Canada has shut down their ministry, labeling
them as a “hate” organization. The ministry entered
into the expense of relocating its corporate structure into the
United States, and is in the process of applying for that nation's
tax-exempt status offered mission organizations. "You're
not allowed in Canada to speak in a persuasive way about your
own faith," she said. Mrs. MacGregor says that their website
was one of the first to expose aberrant groups claiming to be
Christian. The various outreaches of their ministry are marked
by their documentation of statements against Christianity, followed
by biblical responses designed to point readers to the Bible
and a relationship with Christ, while exposing error. During
an audit in June of 2007, they were informed that their responses
to these groups were "hate" and their products were
"uncharitable". There followed a long effort to comply
to the demands of the supervising auditor but to no avail, and
MacGregor Ministries was forced to request revocation of their
charity status in February of 2008. “We would have been
required to seriously compromise our faith and were told they
would revoke us in any case. We were officially revoked April
21, 2008.” Mrs. MacGregor has authored two books and numerous
DVD's and a quarterly magazine for the worldwide market, and

- ZONDERVAN FACES $60M FEDERAL LAWSUIT OVER BIBLE, HOMOSEXUALITY
Christian publisher Zondervan is facing a $60 million federal
lawsuit filed by a man who claims he and other homosexuals have
suffered based on what the suit claims is a misinterpretation
of the Bible.
- But a company spokeswoman says Zondervan doesn’t translate
the Bible or own the copyright for any of the translations. Instead,
she said in a statement, the company relies on the “scholarly
judgment of credible translation committees.” That is to
say, setting aside whether the federal civil rights lawsuit is
credible, the company says Bradley Fowler sued the wrong group.
His suit centers on one passage in scripture — 1 Corinthians
6:9 — and how it reads in Bibles published by Zondervan.

but couldn't confirm that. There are a lot of comments that the
court would do that but nothing concrete yet. What's interesting
is that this falls in line with the new Colorado Law that it's
illegal to discriminate against homosexuality. Seems to me the

- LAWSUIT FILED IN FEDERAL COURT IN DETROIT
- NBC News Augusta - July 12, 2008 - Story Published: Jul 10,
2008 - This hand-written lawsuit was filed Monday in federal
court in Detroit. There are a lot of unanswered questions at
this point about whether this $60 million suit has a chance of
going anywhere. The suit alleges Grand Rapids-based Zondervan
deliberately caused homosexuals to suffer by, what the suit claims,
is a misinterpretation of the Bible. The suit centers on one
passage in scripture: first Corinthians, chapter six, verse nine
and how it reads in Bibles published by Zondervan. Bradley Fowler
filed the suit. He says Zondervan Bibles published in 1982 and
1987 used the word homosexuals among a list of those who are
'wicked' or 'unrighteous' and won't inherit the kingdom of heaven.

- A growing number of "evangelical" churches are getting
into the beer drinking habit. Mars Hill Church in Seattle has
beer-brewing lessons and sets up a champagne bar at its New Year's
Eve rock parties. Riverview Community Church in Holt, Michigan,
has a RiverBrew night featuring homebrewed beer and religious
discussion. When asked what Jesus would drink, ministry leader
Brett Maxwell replies, "I believe he would sit down with
people in the bar, and he would drink what they were drinking,
and he would be happy to do that" ("Holt Ministry Celebrates
Its Love of God and Beer," Lansing State Journal, Feb. 29,
2008). The Journey in St. Louis hosts a "Theology at the
Bottleworks" where participants "grab a beer and discuss
political or spiritual topics, such as the role of women in society,
the legal system, or animal rights" ("Brewing Battle:
Missouri Baptists Frown on Beer as Evangelistic Hook," Christianity
Today, June 29, 2007). In the book Listening to the Beliefs of
Emerging Churches, beer drinking is mentioned probably a dozen
times by the various contributors, both conservative and liberal.
Jim West has written "Drinking with Calvin and Luther"
to promote the idea that alcoholic beverages are a gift from
God. He says, "They reveled in it as a gift of God,"
but the Protestant Reformers are not our authority. They also
"baptized" babies and drowned Baptists! It is true
that there are instances in the Old Testament in which God allowed
His people Israel to drink alcoholic wine, but there are many
things in the O.T. that we do not practice today. I believe that
Christians today should not drink alcoholic beverages for the

Catholics and Protestants committed to electing the Illinois

- A SECT OF THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH
The True Russian Orthodox Church is sect of the Russian Orthodox
Church. It is a ’sect’ in the sense that its members
have separated themselves from the religious body they formerly
were part of, in order to form a group that adheres to one or
more doctrines not accepted (or not given the same measure of
importance) by that religious body. While such a sect is usually
considered extreme and/or heretical, it tends to see itself as
the (only) ‘true’ expression of the religious movement
it separated from. Hence it is no surprise that this group refers
to itself at the ‘True Russian Orthodox Church.’ That
said, on Apr. 1, 2008, Russian news agency RIA Novosti stated,
“It was established on Tuesday that the group is known as
‘Heavenly Jerusalem.’”

New Mexico Human Rights Commission. Jordan Lorence of the Alliance
Defense Fund, who represented the couple, said: "This decision
is a stunning disregard for religious liberty and First Amendment
freedoms of people of faith, of Christians, and those who believe
in traditional marriage defined as one man and one woman. This
shows the very disconcerting, authoritarian face of the homosexual
activists, who are using these non-discrimination laws as weapons
against Christians in the business world and Christians in their

two fastest-growing church bodies in the United States and Canada,
according to a newly published report, are ones whose beliefs
are known to conflict with traditional Christian teaching. Jehovah's
Witnesses and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
regarded by many Christians as cults, reported the largest membership
increases in a year, according to the National Council of Churches'
2008 Yearbook of American & Canadian Churches. Although Jehovah's
Witnesses currently rank 25th in size with over 1.06 million
members, they reported a 2.25 per cent increase in membership
since the publication of the 2007 Yearbook. The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints – also known as the Mormon church
– grew 1.56 per cent and is listed by the NCC as the fourth
largest 'church'. Notably, however, both Jehovah’s Witnesses
and the Mormon church are not accepted within many Christian
circles as part of the larger Body of Christ over a number of
controversial beliefs that the two religions hold. The identification
of Jehovah's Witnesses as Christian is debated largely due to
their rejection of the Trinity, which most Christians regard
as a fundamental doctrine. Latter-day Saints, meanwhile, are
often criticised for their belief in “divine” books

- RICK WARREN SAYS EVANGELICALS AND LIBERALS ARE ON THE SAME

Cathedral, Rick Warren said that evangelicals and liberals "need
to be on the same team because we share the same Saviour"
("Mainline Church Problems Need Evangelical Solution,"
Christian Post, Jan. 28, 2008). Warren was participating in the
church's "Sunday Forum: Critical Issues in the Light of
Faith." He said that the churches need both a social gospel
and a gospel of personal salvation, adding, "And mainline
protestant and evangelical--we need both wings." Either
the man is grossly ignorant of what is taught in the "mainline
churches" or he simply cares nothing whatsoever about doctrinal
heresy. The Washington National Cathedral is a member of the
Episcopal Church in America, one of the world's most liberal
denominations. In 1960, Episcopalian Bishop James Pike said the
doctrine of the Trinity is "outdated, incomprehensible and
nonessential" (The Christian Century, Dec. 21, 1960). In
1963, Episcopal theologian Paul van Buren started the God-is-dead
movement with the publication of his book The Secular Meaning
of the Gospel. In 1967, after heresy charges were brought against
James Pike, the Episcopal Church adopted a resolution declaring
that all heresy was out of date. In 1976, John Spong was ordained
as the bishop of the Episcopal diocese of Newark, New Jersey,
even though he denied practically every doctrine of the Christian
faith. By 1991, at least 50 practicing homosexuals had been ordained
to the Episcopal priesthood. In his book Rescuing the Bible from
Fundamentalism, John Spong said the apostle Paul was "a
self hating, repressed homosexual." In 1998, Spong said,
"I would choose to loathe rather than to worship a deity
who required the sacrifice of his son" (Christianity Today,
June 15, 1998). In April 2003, Episcopal bishop Charles Bennison
said that Jesus Christ was a sinner (Worthy News, April 14, 2003).
Many Episcopalians have left the Episcopal Church in recent years
at the cost of losing their pensions and property, but Southern

Benedict, speaking as the Anglican Church is facing one of the
deepest crises in its history, said on Friday that relations
between Christian religions were at a critical crossroad. The
Pope made his comment in an address to other Christian leaders
in Australia, where he is presiding at the Roman Catholic Church's
World Youth Day celebrations. "I think you would agree that
the ecumenical movement has reached a critical juncture,"
he told representatives of various Christian Churches in Australia,
including Anglicans, Lutherans and Methodists.

to be referring to the crisis gripping the 77-million-member
worldwide Anglican community, with which the Vatican is engaged
in dialogue aimed at eventual Christian unity. The Anglican communion
is deeply divided over the issue of gay bishops and women bishops.
A quarter of the world's Anglican bishops have boycotted the
Lambeth Conference, the once-a-decade gathering of Anglican leaders
being staged in the English cathedral city of Canterbury, spiritual
home of the Church. Liberal and conservative clergy have been
brought to the brink of schism over the ordination in 2003 of
Gene Robinson in New Hampshire, the first openly gay bishop in
the Church's 450-year history. Conservative Anglican leaders
staged their own conference in Jerusalem last month at which
they pledged to form a council of bishops to provide an alternative
to churches who they say are preaching a "false gospel"
of sexual immorality. The Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON)
said member churches would continue sponsoring breakaway conservative
parishes in the liberal Western member countries and called for
a separate conservative province in North America.

We are required to judge teachings and be good Bereans to test

California joined hands with Hindus in a joint worship service
and apologized for attempts to convert them to Jesus Christ.
The service was held in St. John's Cathedral in Los Angeles and
the participants included members of St. Patrick's Episcopal
Church of Thousand Oaks and St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Pomona.
J. Jon Bruno, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles,
issued the statement of apology to the Hindu community and said
he renounced "proselytizing" of Hindus. A Hindu nun
blew into a conch shell to start the service and members of the
International Society of Krishna Consciousness chanted ("Episcopalians
Hold an Indian Rite Mass with Hindus," Los Angeles Times,
Jan. 20, 2008). A female Episcopal priest, Karen MacQueen, who
spent two years in India studying Hinduism, preached on "A
Vision for Inter-Religious Dialogue." She said that both
Hindus and Christians worship the "divine light" and
teach "the divine truth." "But there were false
prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false
teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,
even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves
swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways;
by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of"

- MORMON LEADER DIES -

of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died on January 27 at age
97. Hinckley was a life-long Mormon and his grandfather knew
founder Joseph Smith and traveled to St. Lake City under the
leadership of Brigham Young. He was a member of the Quorum of
Twelve Apostles for 34 years and the president for 12 and oversaw
its rapid expansion during the last decade. Membership grew 37%
to 12.3 million and 75 new temples were built. Hinckley traveled
tens of thousands of miles each year promoting Mormonism and
was a brilliant public relations man, "able to sooth the
public's fears about Mormonism" ("Gordon B. Hinckley,"
Los Angeles Times, Jan. 28, 2008). In spite of the fact that
it preaches a false gospel and a false christ, Mormonism has
been gradually moving into the mainstream of Christianity. In
1994, Mormons participated in an ecumenical service in San Antonio,
Texas, and Vernon Burrow, pastor of Stone Oak Presbyterian Church,
said the Mormons are "Christ-centered people" (San
Antonio Express News, Feb. 19, 1994). In January 1997, Billy
Graham said on Larry King Live that he has a wonderful relationship
with Mormons. In November 1997, Southern Baptist Sunday School
teacher Jimmy Carter said that Mormons are Christians and they
should not be the targets of "proselytizing" ("Are
Mormons Christians," Deseret News, Nov. 15, 1997) In 1998,
Mormon professor Robert Millet spoke at Wheaton College. In November
2004, an "Evening of Friendship" was held in the Salt
Lake Tabernacle, featuring evangelicals who are calling for a
better understanding of Mormons. Ravi Zacharias, the main speaker,
was joined by Richard Mouw (president of Fuller Seminary), Craig
Hazen (a professor at Biola University), Greg Johnson (director
of Standing Together Ministries in Utah), and Michael Card (Contemporary
Christian musician). Cooper Abrams, a Baptist missionary to Utah,
wisely observes: "One question that I would ask all Mormons
is this: 'Would you accept me as a Mormon if I reject Joseph
Smith and all the LDS prophets as being prophets of God, if I
do not believe in the Book of Mormon or the LDS Scriptures, and
reject baptisms for the dead, the temple endowments, and the
LDS gospel? The answer is that you would not. In like manner,
when Mormonism denies the Bible and every Christian doctrine,
do you think that biblical Christians should accept Mormons as
Christians? You cannot legitimately claim to be Christians when
you refuse to accept what the Bible teaches and what a true Christian

today are as nothing compared to the Great Tribulation to come
This seven-year period is described in great detail in Revelation
6-18. At the very opening of the Tribulation one-fourth of the
earth's population will die from war and famine (Rev. 6:7-8).
A little later, a third of all the ships in the seas will be
destroyed (Rev. 8:9) and a third of the waters on the earth will
be poisoned (Rev. 8:10-11). A swarm of demonic locusts will torment
men with stings so fearful that they will seek death but "shall
not find it" (Rev. 9:1-6). A third of the world's inhabitants
will die when an army of 200 million marches from the east (Rev.
9:15-18). The antichrist will rule and require that all men bow
to his image and take his mark or die (Rev. 13:11-18). The sun
will become so hot that men will be "scorched with great
heat" (Rev. 16:8-9). A terrible shaking of the earth will
cause every island to sink and the mountains to tumble (Rev.
16:20). Hailstones weighing 75-95 pounds will fall from heaven
(Rev. 16:21). Men's hearts will fail "for looking after
those things which are coming on the earth" (Lk. 21:26).
No person living today has to go through these horrible judgments.
We are still living in the era of "good tidings of great
joy, which shall be to all people" (Luke 2:10), which is
the gospel of Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins, was buried,
and rose the third day to offer eternal salvation to whosoever
will believe in Him as Lord and Saviour. The Bible says God has
no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezek. 33:11); it is His

Egyptian court bans convert to Christianity from changing ID
card
- February 01, 2008 - WorldNetDaily.com - Egypt - No one ever
leaves Islam, according to a judge in Egypt who has cited Islamic
religious law in rejecting a request from a Muslim convert to
Christianity to be allowed to change his religious affiliation
on his national identification card. In a decision that forecasts
more and more decisions being based on Shari'a, Islam's religious
law, Judge Muhammad Husseini has concluded it violates the law
for a Muslim to leave Islam. According to a report from Compass
Direct News, the judge found that the convert, Muhammad Hegazy,
"can believe whatever he wants in his heart, but on paper
he can't convert."
- The report said Husseini cited Article II of the Egyptian
constitution, making Islamic religious law the "source"
of Egyptian secular law, as the basis for his conclusion. Since

has allowed their youth pastor to teach the youth material from
Rob Bell via the Nooma videos and ideas taught within his book
Velvet Elvis. This is very unfortunate. I wonder how many people
even understand what is behind the teachings of Rob Bell? Do
the parents have any idea...do the leaders of the church even
know? Do they agree with the teachings? (that would really be
scary) Or do they simply trust their youth pastor and allow him
to teach the kids whatever he sees fit? I will give them the
benefit of a doubt and believe they just are not aware. Therefore,
a good look into the teachings of Rob Bell could really do some
good here since there seems to be such a lack of discernment
in so many of our evangelical churches today, including my former
one. Ken Silva of Apprising Ministries has been researching the
teachings of Rob Bell for about a year now. In THIS POST Ken
pulls no punches in mentioning how Rob Bell is a false teacher.
I couldn't agree with Ken Silva more. I think he is 100% right.

EMERGING CHURCH LEADER WANTS TO PROSELYTIZE YOUR CHILDREN AND
GRANDCHILDREN

- Emerging church leaders have the objective of proselytizing
our children and grandchildren. In his 2008 book Finding Our
Way Again: The Return of the Ancient Practices, Brian McLaren
describes his plan to infiltrate churches and Christian institutions
that are currently rejecting the emerging church. He says: 'But
over time, what they reject will find or create safe space outside
their borders and become a resource so that many if not most
of the grandchildren of today's fundamentalists will learn and
grow and move on from the misguided battles of their forebears'
(p. 133). McLaren is saying that emerging church teachers will
infiltrate Biblicist churches from without through "resources"
such as books, videos, and web sites. That is exactly how New
Evangelicalism has so deeply infiltrated fundamental Baptist
churches over the past two decades and it is doubtless how the
more radical emerging church doctrines will infiltrate over the
coming decades. It is more imperative than ever that pastors
train their people to discern the error of these heresies and
that they exhort them to avoid the writings of false teachers.
It is imperative that fundamentalist Bible Colleges and Institutes
prepare their students to resist this tide of error. Too often
it can be said of Bible-believing churches today what was said
of Israel of old, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"
(Hosea 4:6). The average member of a fundamentalist Bible-believing
church is not equipped to deal effectively with the spiritual
dangers that lurk on the shelves of the typical Christian bookstore
and on the airwaves of the typical Christian radio station. The
average church member receives little practical warning from
his pastors and teachers and has no interest in building a library
of material that can help protect him from spiritual dangers.
If this situation is not rectified, the Brian McLarens of this
world will doubtless devour many of our children and grandchildren.

of homosexual activism as "wicked" and stating: "Children

as wide as the Earth has been raging at Saturn's south pole,
images from NASA's Cassini spacecraft reveal. Such hurricane-like
weather systems have never before been seen on other planets,
and scientists remain uncertain of its cause.
- The dark eye of the storm spans about 8,000 kilometres and
is surrounded by a bright ring of clouds that tower some 30 km
to 75 km above the centre. "It looks like a hurricane, but
it doesn't behave like a hurricane," said Andrew Ingersoll,
a member of Cassini's imaging team at the California Institute
of Technology in Pasadena. "Whatever it is, we're going
to focus on the eye of this storm and find out why it's there."
A movie taken by Cassini's camera over a three-hour period reveals
winds around Saturn's south pole blowing clockwise at 560 km
per hour. The camera also recorded the shadow cast by the ring
of towering clouds, and two spiral arms of clouds extending from

is perhaps the ultimate stomping of freedom. And yet, on September
30, 2006, Congress passed a provision in a 591-page bill that
will make it easy for President Bush to impose martial law in
response to a terrorist "incident." It also empowers
him to effectively declare martial law in response to what he
or other federal officials label a shortfall of "public
order" -- whatever that means. It took only a few paragraphs
in a $500 billion, 591-page bill to raze one of the most important
limits on federal power. Congress passed the Insurrection Act
in 1807 to severely restrict the president's ability to deploy
the military within the United States. The Posse Comitatus Act
of 1878 tightened those restrictions, imposing a two-year prison
sentence on anyone who used the military within the United States
without the express permission of Congress. (This act was passed
after the depredations of the U.S. military throughout the Southern
states during Reconstruction.) But there is a loophole: Posse
Comitatus is waived if the president invokes the Insurrection
Act. The Insurrection Act and Posse Comitatus Act aim to deter
dictatorship while permitting a narrow window for the president
to temporarily use the military at home. But the 2006 reforms
basically threw any concern about dictatorial abuses out the
window.

the construction of the U.S. embassy in Baghdad. On April 14,
the State Department issued a certificate of acceptance for the

The $474 million facility is the largest U.S. embassy in the
world, with 619 apartments for staffers as well as restaurants,
indoor and outdoor basketball courts, volleyball court, and indoor
Olympic-size swimming pool. After years of delay, First Kuwaiti
General Trading and Contracting completed the design and construction
of the new U.S. embassy in Baghdad. The project, plagued by faulty
construction and scandal, was certified by the State Department
and independent consultants. "This is a remarkable accomplishment
for our company and for the thousands of individuals whose hard
work has made it possible," First Kuwaiti managing director
Wadih Al Absi said. "We are proud of our record of achievement
in Iraq and regard the completion of the new U.S. embassy compound
in Baghdad as an absolute success." The company, which hired
23 U.S. subcontractors, said the project was completed nearly
two years beyond schedule. The project was said to have stayed
within its original budget of $474 million.

- Voila, the quiet birth of subprime lending. - Florida and
the "Rodash Fix" - At the same time the legislative
battle to constrain interest rates and loan fees was being waged
in Washington, another fight, over loan transparency, was being
fought throughout the cities of America. It began in Miami, Florida.
Miami resident Martha Rodash had just received some good news
in March 1994; the 11th District Federal Court of Appeals in
Florida had awarded her the right to rescind on her mortgage,
a major upset for the two big lenders she was facing. Little
did she know that her victory would help pave the way for the
subprime loan bubble.

She wasn't even a victim of predatory lending. But when stricken
with multiple sclerosis, she refinanced her home in order to
seek a cure. The treatments failed, and she was soon forced to

- As the late 1990's stock market boom headed into the new
millennium, there were some renewed legislative attempts to rein
in the banking industry. Notably, in April 2000, Rep. John LaFalce
(D-N.Y.) and Sen. Paul Sarbanes (D-Md.) introduced the Predatory
Lending Consumer Protection Act of 2000. The act would have brought
down HOEPA triggers and ensured that everyone in the chain had
an interest in homeowners' ability to repay loans. Sarbanes and
Senate staffer Jonathan Miller worked feverishly to line up cosponsors.
The industry attacked the bill and its backers and won. What
passed instead was Texas Sen. Phil Gramm's Commodity Futures
Modernization Act of 2000. The act ushered in tremendous
growth of unregulated commodity trades through its "Enron
Loophole," which allowed companies to trade energy and

a multimedia advertising campaign to draw attention to what he
calls the single biggest crisis facing the country today: its
dependence on foreign oil. Natural gas and wind energy development
are key pieces to a plan Pickens is promoting to broaden the
energy spectrum in Oklahoma and across the country. House leadership
would like to build on the hard work Pickens has put into his
personal energy plan. Benge and House leaders will also be working
with local natural gas and oil companies and other interested
parties to develop a comprehensive energy plan leadership anticipates

- OKLAHOMA RECALLS BILL THAT WOULD HAVE FACILITATED NAFTA SUPERHIGHWAY
The Oklahoma State Senate voted to recall a bill that would have
further facilitated plans for the NAFTA Superhighway to run through
the state. There were fears that parts of Bill 1507, which dealt
with Foreign Trade Zones, were tied to the superhighway which
is to extend from Mexico to Canada. There were also concerns
that this would lead to private property seizures through eminent
domain. This is already taking place in parts of rural Texas
with the construction of the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC), which

fungus, known as Ug99, which kills wheat, has likely spread to
Pakistan from Africa, according to reports in the British New
Scientist. If true, that threatens the vital Asian bread basket,
including the Punjab region. The spread of the deadly virus,
stem rust, against which an effective fungicide does not exist,
comes as world grain stocks reach the lowest in four decades
and government subsidized bio-ethanol production, especially
in the United States, Brazil and the European Union, are taking
land out of food production at alarming rates. Stem rust is the
worst of three rusts that afflict wheat plants. The fungus grows
primarily in the stems, plugging the vascular system so carbohydrates
can't get from the leaves to the grain, which shrivels. Ug99
is a race of stem rust that blocks the vascular tissues in cereal
grains including wheat, oats and barley. Unlike other rusts that
may reduce crop yields, Ug99-infected plants may suffer up to
100% loss. During the Cold War, both the US and the Soviet Union
stockpiled stem rust spores as a biological weapon. In the 1950s,
the last major outbreak of stem rust destroyed 40% of the spring
wheat crop in North America. At that time governments started
a major effort to breed resistant wheat plants, led by Norman
Borlaug of the Rockefeller Foundation. After the 1954 epidemic,
Borlaug began work in Mexico developing wheat that resisted stem
rust. The project became the International Maize and Wheat Improvement
Center (in Spanish, CIMMYT). The rust-resistant, high-yield wheat
it developed ended stem rust outbreaks, led to the Green Revolution,
and won Borlaug the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970. It also resulted
today in there being far fewer varieties of wheat that might

BENTONVILLE, Arkansas -- Sam's Club, the membership warehouse

can buy because of what it calls "recent supply and demand
trends." The broader chain of Wal-Mart stores has no plans
to limit food purchases, however. Sam's Club says it will limit
customers to four bags at a time of Jasmine, Basmati, and long-grain
white rice. Rice prices have been hitting record highs recently
on worries about tight supplies. Sam's Club's restriction is
effective immediately at all locations where quantity restrictions

drugs for $4. The Bentonville-based company said the program
has saved customers more than $1 billion. With the expansion,
the company began filling prescriptions Monday for up to 350
generic medications at $10 for a 90-day supply at Wal-Mart, Neighborhood
Market and Sam's Club pharmacies in the U.S. Almost all the prescription
generics in the company's $4 program were included in the expanded
$10 offer, said Wal-Mart senior vice president John Agwunobi.
In addition, the company will add several women's medications
to its list of prescriptions available for $9, including drugs
to treat breast cancer and hormone deficiency. For instance,

and I realized how great a National ID card would be. You know,
it would be kind of like a social security number with a picture
and a microchip. Also, add some DNA samples to that card. Anyways,
I waited in line for 30 minutes to get to the window. I was number
50 and they were all the way down at 45 when I got my number.
I had my social security card, birth certificate, a printed out
copy of a utility bill, out of state driver's license, insurance
card and the application for a driver's license. I was all set
to go. I even went over the driver's education book the weekend
before. I got to the window and the lady looked me over for 20
seconds as I fumbled through all my documents. Then she told
me I couldn't apply. I asked why and she said they wouldn't accept
my printed copy of a utility bill as address verification. As
she quickly slid my application back over to me, I told her I
don't receive bills via mail. Why would I, with identity theft,
global warming and just the sheer problem of trying to store
all those paper documents? She said too bad' and I would need
to get a bill sent to me. That's the award winning service of
the DMV; it just makes me want to call up the cable company and
ask for technical support.

2008 UW team researches a future filled with RFID chips Washington
state has passed some of the first laws in the country related
to privacy and radio-frequency-identification (RFID) technology.
Last week, Gov. Christine Gregoire signed into law two bills
protecting consumer privacy by making it a felony to possess
information gained from an RFID-enhanced driver's license, except
when crossing international borders, or to maliciously scan someone's
identification remotely without their knowledge and consent.
As a state with many travelers who cross the border frequently,
Washington has become a test bed for RFID. It's one of four states
that have signed agreements with the U.S. Department of Homeland
Security to use RFID technology in optional-enhanced driver's
licenses that became available in January. Critics say that
is a precursor to establishing a national ID card. While
the new technology "does simplify border crossings with
neighboring countries, it also presents new and broad opportunities
for identity theft and surveillance," said Rep. Deb Eddy,
D-Kirkland, who sponsored HB 2729, which goes into effect in
June. Because the data on the chip is not encrypted, its unique
number can be captured from a distance, Eddy said. The licenses
are shipped with a foil sleeve to prevent radio transmission.
- HB 2729 says personal information on identity cards may
be released to law-enforcement agencies only for customs and
border-protection purposes. Personally identifying information
may be released to law-enforcement agencies for other purposes
"only if accompanied by a court order," the law states.
Another bill signed into law, HB 1031, outlaws "skimming,"
making it a felony for a person to "intentionally scan
another person's identification device without that person's
prior knowledge and consent for the purpose of fraud, identity
theft or any other illegal purpose." The Senate took
out an "opt in" provision that would have made
it illegal for any company or person to slip an RFID chip into
objects such as loyalty cards or cellphones without consumer
consent, said state Rep. Jeff Morris, D-Anacortes, the bill's

It wasn’t long ago in February of 2007 that an uproar of
protests spread throughout the US when everyone realized that
a major American port was going to be sold to Dubai Ports World.
DP World is a United Arab Emirates (UAE) owned company. President
Bush tried to rush the approval of the sale of the port but roadblocks
derailed the plan quickly. Now on the horizon is a battle that
could give America’s transportation system to the highest
bidder. What once were public and government owned freeways and

- U.S. LOST 63,000 JOBS IN FEBRUARY
The Associated PressPublished: March 7, 2008 - WASHINGTON: U.S.
employers slashed jobs by 63,000 in February, the most in five
years and the starkest sign yet the country is heading dangerously
toward recession or is in one already. The Labor Department's
report, released Friday, also showed that the nation's unemployment
rate dipped to 4.8 percent as hundreds of thousands of people
- perhaps discouraged by their prospects - left the civilian
labor force. The jobless rate was 4.9 percent in January. Job
losses were widespread, with hefty cuts coming from construction,
manufacturing, retailing and a variety of professional and business
services. Those losses swamped gains elsewhere including education
and health care, leisure and hospitality, and the government.
The latest snapshot of the nation's employment climate underscored
the heavy toll of the housing and credit crises on companies,
jobseekers and the overall economy. The report also showed that
the job losses suffered in January were worse than the government
first reported. Employers cut 22,000 jobs in January, versus

2008; Page A15 - Nearly 16 years ago in these very pages, I wrote
that "'one-size-fits all' rules for business ignore the
reality of the market place." Today I'm watching some broad
rules evolve on individual decisions that are even worse. Under
the guise of protecting us from ourselves, the right and the
left are becoming ever more aggressive in regulating behavior.
Much paternalist scrutiny has recently centered on personal economics,
including calls to regulate subprime mortgages. With liberalized
credit rules, many people with limited income could access a
mortgage and choose, for the first time, if they wanted to own
a home. And most of those who chose to do so are hanging on to
their mortgages. According to the national delinquency survey
released yesterday, the vast majority of subprime, adjustable-rate
mortgages are in good condition,their holders neither delinquent
nor in default. There's no question, however, that delinquency
and default rates are far too high. But some of this is due to
bad investment decisions by real-estate speculators. These losses
are not unlike the risks taken every day in the stock market.
- The real question for policy makers is how to protect those
worthy borrowers who are struggling, without throwing out a system
that works fine for the majority of its users (all of whom have
freely chosen to use it). If the tub is more baby than bathwater,
we should think twice about dumping everything out. Health-care
paternalism creates another problem that's rarely mentioned:
Many people can't afford the gold-plated health plans that are
the only options available in their states. Buying health insurance
on the Internet and across state lines, where less expensive
plans may be available, is prohibited by many state insurance
commissions. Despite being able to buy car or home insurance
with a mouse click, some state governments require their approved
plans for purchase or none at all. It's as if states dictated
that you had to buy a Mercedes or no car at all. Economic paternalism
takes its newest form with the campaign against short-term small
loans, commonly known as "payday lending." With payday
lending, people in need of immediate money can borrow against
their future paychecks, allowing emergency purchases or bill
payments they could not otherwise make. The service comes at
the cost of a significant fee -- usually $15 for every $100 borrowed
for two weeks. But the cost seems reasonable when all your other
options, such as bounced checks or skipped credit-card payments,
are obviously more expensive and play havoc with your credit

East Texas pastor threatened by anonymous men in dark suits for
giving talk to Boy Scouts about bill of rights - Paul Joseph
Watson - Prison Planet - May 12, 2008 - A student of a large
bible college in east Texas was accused by federal agents of
committing an "act of terror and espionage" after he
gave a talk to a group of Boy Scouts in which he encouraged them
to educate themselves about the U.S. Constitution. Jeff, who
wishes to remain anonymous at present, is a student of the college
and an interim pastor of a small church in Mount Vernon, Texas.
He appeared today as a guest on the Alex Jones Show to relate
what took place. As part of his duties as an advisor in the college
office, Jeff was tasked with the role of giving a short speech
and a tour to a group of Boy Scouts that were visiting the college,
with a focus on how patriotism and liberty are emphasized in
the teaching style of the university.
- Jeff said he told the boys, "It's going to be you who
is going to take this country and either make or break it - you
need to get back to your constitution, you need to get to know
your bill of rights and you need to stand up for them."
