Promoting UNITY and the USA Points of Light Foundation

[Ednote: these links do not work anymore because the website has been changed. This Maltese cross was shown on the left and has been removed since we first visited the website.

This cross belongs to the Knights of Columbus (It has councils in many countries besides the U.S.) represented by the same Maltese cross which the Pope wears on his clothing. Since it relates to the Knights of Malta the Catholic Encyclopedia states: The Knights of Malta (Hospitallers from which the Red Cross descended) Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta is the most ancient religious order of chilvary. The order began in Jerusalem during the First Crusade in 1070, as a hospice-infirmary for pilgrims from Amalfi... Forced to leave by the muslim invasions, they went first to Cyprus, then Rhodes and fianlly Malta... Not only a religious order approved by the Holy See, the Knights are also recognized in international law as a sovereign entity. Originally, membership was restricted to the nobility, but a new category of Knights and Dames of Grace and Devotion is open to meritorious persons who are not nobility (i.e. Rick Joyner). A National Association of Knights and Da,es of Malta exists in the United States. (Catholic Encyclopedia, pp. 556,7) Other Orders of Knights are still existing: Britain's Order of the Garter (where President Reagan, Rudi, and Greenspan got knighted) Spain's Order of the Golden Fleece and Denmark's Order of the Dannebrog.. .  (Catholic Encyclopedia, pp. 556,7)

One of the first books that came into our hands was "666 The Final Warning!" by Gary D. Blevins. The book was out of print for a while but its back and you can find in the www.a2zbookdepot. It was published in 1990 and gave us an overview of what is going on. So far we have not been unconvinced that this book was right on. It had a picture of the Twin Towers "Last-Day" city of Babylon and "Towers of Babel,"? p.160.

"Change at the Pentagon: The Defense Department Journal, First Quarter, 1980, contains a cartoon depicting the change in Defense Managment. The old runner is handing the torch of management to a new runner. The new runner for the Defense is wearing the World Code, 666. This graphically illustrates that the U.S. Defense is now in the hands of the New World Order soon to consummate in the last One World Government System. The politics, economy and religion of this system will be characterized by the number 666. Again, this was the year Ronald Reagan was first elected as President of the United States.

Al ALAMEIN is the name of Reagan's white Arabian stallion given to him prior to the Inauguration by Jose' Lopez Portillo, President of Mexico. The while horse has always been a symbol of leadership and conquest on the field of battle. Jesus returns on a white horse... EL ALAMEIN, after which the horse is named, is 70 miles west of Alexandria, Egypt. The name means "TWO FLAGS". Certainly Reagan is a representative of two countries, the United States, as an ex President, and Great Britain as a Knight.

Alexander the Great, a world ruler, founded the city which was the second chief city in the ancient Roman Empire. Also, the world conquest of Adolf Hitler was averted by the ALLIED FORCES at EL ALAMEIN IN WORLD WAR II. Alexander The Great and Hitler were merely a "type and shadow" of things to come.. the coming Antichrist.

The Maltese cross was used by Hitler extensively He decorated mothers for having four plus children and heros during the war with this cross.

George Sr. and Barbara Bush advertised their organization 8.3.02 on "Fox in Focus" TV station, promoting UNITY and the USA Points of Light Foundation as a volunteer center and low and behold the symbols used on the website were reminiscent of the past. The Foundation advertising former President George Bush Sr. and former President Clinton as the promoters. It was founded in 1990. Assets in the year 2000 were $9.500.000.00 with income of $17,430.000.00 of which $8.362.000.00 from government grants and contributions from corporations and others were $6.183.000.00, programs brought $1,800.000.00. (http://www.guidestar.org) Shop or donate something.. it stated. Chicken Soul's Volunteer's Soup. What is their mission: They promote volunteerism. Following is their 'condensed' message:

"The Points of Light Foundation embodies America's spirit of volunteerism and the goodwill of its citizens.

Our Nation will counter evil with good, defeat terrorism by routing out its perpetrators and comforting its victims, and continue to answer the calls of people in need.

I commend the United States Congress for passing the Unity in the Spirit of America Act to honor the Americans who lost their lives on September 11th by encouraging, organizing, and recognizing men and women who selflessly give to others." - President George W. Bush

America's Address for Volunteering

Projects will be registered through a Web site devoted to the USA initiative. The Web site will allow volunteers to search biographical data, provided by participating families, to create meaningful matches between those lost and the service projects being done in their honor. The Foundation will approve all projects before a name is officially assigned. A Web-based scrapbook, including project photos and highlights, will be updated regularly and serve as an online living memorial.

Major partners with the Foundation and the Volunteer Center National Network in the USA initiative include DisneyHand and Ronald McDonald House Charities. .

Media: Arianna Huffington, columnist, author of "Pigs At the Trough". It addresses corporate America in politics. She was one of the loudest political voices for the Republican Party during the Clinton administration and is now beginning a movement to get our government changed. What is she doing on this Board of Directors?

Mitt Romney, Mormon, is another interesting member. He was profiled by the Mormon News. The Deseret News' Elaine Jarvik gives a long and interesting profile of Salt Lake Organizing Committee President Mitt Romney, the LDS Church member who moved to Salt Lake from Boston to save the 2002 Winter Olympics in the wake of a bribery scandal. The profile shows how Romney, perpetually aware of those around him, is able to diarm the press and lead the committee in preparing for the Olympics.
When Mitt was 15, his father ran for Governor of Michigan, and won. "I learned how you say things, what you don't say, how you build consensus," says Mitt of the experience. A few years later, Mitt was serving an LDS mission in France when his father ran for President of the US, and Mitt learned then about the benefits and pitfalls of being open to the media and the public. His father's failure to win the Republican nomination for President over Richard Nixon is generally attributed to his statement that he and other US Governors had been "brainwashed" during a tour of Vietnam. Dr. Hudson took a look at the statistics and made a change. He founded Hope Clinic to provide free medical care, laboratory tests and free medicines for common medical problems. It took about six months of preparation, but Dr. Hudson’s reputation in the community allowed him to recruit a volunteer force of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, Spanish speaking interpreters, administrators and lab technicians.

A local pharmacy near the clinic volunteered to stay open the night the clinic operated and to provide some of the more expensive medicines at cost. A medicine assistance program and common x-ray facilities were provided through the local County Health Department who also opened its doors to house the Clinic. When needed, volunteer consultations were obtained from specialists in the Craven and Pamlico counties. In 2001, more than 2000 patient visits were provided at Hope Clinic.

In addition to founding and working at Hope Clinic, Dr. Hudson has volunteered

Connections
Now more than ever, volunteers are tackling tough issues and working together to create a better life for all. More than 93 million Americans volunteer every year-alongside their families, co-workers and friends-and the numbers continue to grow. Harnessing this tremendous human resource makes all the difference between a well intentioned but ineffective program-and a program that results in measurable improvement to peoples' lives.

Connect people with volunteer opportunities doing centralized recruitment and referral of volunteers through individual interviews, directories, searchable database listings and more;
Manage and promote community-wide service events such as Make a Difference Day, Day of Caring or large-scale community clean-ups;
Design programs targeted for special populations of volunteers, including families, youth, seniors, employees, or court-referred volunteers;
Involve volunteers in ongoing direct service volunteer programs of the Volunteer Center itself, such as mentoring or tutoring programs; and
Promote episodic and short-term volunteer opportunities through monthly project calendars, their web sites, volunteer clubs, and the like.

Build the capacity for effective local volunteering
Volunteer Centers help the agencies, businesses and individuals who work with volunteers do a better job recruiting, managing and retaining volunteers. For example, Volunteer Centers:

Provide volunteer management trainings, consultations and direct support to nonprofit agencies and other organizations (like schools, local government, faith communities, businesses, etc);

Share volunteer management resource information through newsletters, lending libraries, and on-line resource sites;
Convene and advise professional associations of volunteer leaders and managers, such as Corporate Volunteer Councils and Directors of Volunteers in Agencies; and
Provide training and support for specialized groups of volunteers, such as potential board leaders.

Promote volunteering
Volunteer Centers raise awareness of the power of service, encourage people to volunteer, provide information about volunteerism, and recognize the contributions of volunteers. For example, Volunteer Centers:

Initiate and support mass media campaigns to promote volunteering through radio shows, newspaper columns, public service advertisements, a national toll-free number, and more;
Recruit volunteers and raise awareness of volunteering through strategies such as speakers bureaus, volunteer fairs, and telethons;
Create opportunities for public acknowledgment of remarkable volunteers and volunteer teams through awards programs, National Volunteer Week activities and a variety of informal recognition efforts; and Educate policy makers and community leaders about the importance of volunteering.

Participate in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers to meet local community needs
Volunteer Centers serve as a convener for the community and a catalyst for action. Volunteer Centers work through local partnerships and collaborations with businesses, law enforcement, grassroots groups, schools and community leaders to identify needs and mobilize volunteer response. Volunteer Centers impact critical community issues by spearheading volunteer-run gun buy-back programs, drunk-driving prevention campaigns, welfare to work efforts, and much more. For example, Volunteer Centers:

Convene or participate in collaborations to address a specific issue, such as youth violence;
Coordinate volunteer response in times of special needs such as a disaster; and
Implement and operate volunteer service programs such as a school-based literacy program or a senior home repair program

The effective integration of these four strategies positions Volunteer Centers as the local leadership organizations for community volunteering. Volunteer Centers are both catalysts for volunteer action and knowledge leaders about volunteering.
