WELCOME TO BIBLE STUDY WITH JAY BAKKER

Tattoos of everything from skulls to roses to portraits of Jesus, is seen as a form of art and ministry. When people come in, my job is not to judge them but plant seeds and they grow (Copeland's Gospel). Apparently he doesn't tell his clientele that they have to change and die to themselves at the point of rebirth. Instead a Christian

Tattoo Association has united 100 Christian Tattoo artists for the purpose of reaching people. regardless of what they are doing, if it bad rap, or seedy people in the industry. Because they heed Leviticus 19:28, "Ye shall not make any cutting in their flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you" KJV, they think its okay to bring the tattoos into the church. They are meeting a lot of resistance but just keep on coming.

Jay Bakker, Jim Bakker's son, stood before more than 30 teens and pointed at an article in Charisma about the Poke'mon craze that it is of the devil and said that Christians should have something better to do than this. Bakker formed a Revolution club, which is common ground for both believers, and unbelievers who feel alienated from the main stream church. Tattoos adorn their knuckles, forearms, ankles and necks. Some of the body art proclaims a love for Christ; other "pieces" assert an affinity to Satan or showcase naked women.

Readers came under the wrong impression about our message and to clear up our message we have added the following. It did not say that we believe a person has to clean up their act before they get saved. What we are saying that people have to be willing to change to call themselves "born again believers" and fear the Lord God. Jay is not an example of that when he allows "rock music, tatoos and red light performances". Jesus died for all sin and to keep on sinning is not biblical. We, as born again believers, are to separate from the world and preach the true Word of God. Rock Music is not compatable with the Gospel.

In Acts 15 Paul addresses the "conversion" of the Gentiles which caused great joy unto all the brethren. "And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith... We believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.. [speaking of Jews and Gentiles]. But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols.. " (Acts 15:3,8,9,20) Conversion: #1995 Epistrophe in Greek means to turn away from, a turning oneself around. It comes from #1994 Epistrepho: to convert: to turn to God and holiness. (Luke 1:16, 17) God is preparing "born again believers" to be the Bride of Christ, holy and beautiful. Would you really believe that the Holy Ghost could live in that type of environment? God cannot look upon sin that is why believers have to set themselves apart from the world and undergo sanctification. We are born again through faith alone and justified by the blood of Christ Jesus and sanctified over time to receive eternal life in Christ Jesus which is salvation. Idol worshipers will not enter into heaven.
