- OBAMA 'TO TURN ON ISRAEL AFTER MIDTERM ELECTIONS'
Netanyahu purportedly 'shaking from fear' of president's policies
- October 31, 2010
By Aaron Klein - WorldNetDaily - JERUSALEM Prime minister
Benjamin Netanyahu is "shaking from fear" about the
policies that President Obama will enact toward Israel after
this week's midterm elections, a senior Palestinian Authority
official told WND.
The PA official, as well as security sources in Egypt and Jordan,
said they heard from the Obama administration an outline of a
series of moves to pressure Israel after the Nov. 2 vote.
Among the moves would be holding back support for Israel when
it comes to future resolutions condemning the Jewish state at
the United Nations.
Also, the U.S. is likely to tacitly back a Palestinian threat
to unilaterally declare a state at the U.N. Security Council
if Netanyahu fails to reach an agreement with the PA.
The sources said the Obama administration has already quietly
dropped U.S. opposition to PA President Mahmoud Abbas forging
a unity deal with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Is Israel already done for? Find out in Aaron Klein's "The
Late Great State of Israel" -- autographed!
Until now, the U.S. has publicly taken a policy of isolating
Hamas, a terrorist organization, although there have been recent
signs of U.S. rapprochement toward the Islamic group. Netanyahu
had argued Hamas stood in the way of a pan-Palestinian future
settlement.
The PA and Middle East sources said that Obama is joining a chorus
of European Union officials in demanding that Israel evacuate
almost the entire West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem
in a future deal with the Palestinians.
Netanyahu wants to keep what are known as the main settlement
blocks: Ariel, Gush Etzion and Maale Adumin, a position mostly
supported by the U.S. government. Now there are signs the Obama
administration will call for Israel to evacuate the large town
of Ariel in any settlement with the Palestinians, the sources
told WND.
Last week, WND quoted a PA official stating that White House
officials told the Palestinians that President Obama is waiting
until after the Nov. 2 midterm elections to press Israel harder
for a deal to create a Palestinian state.
An extensive poll released earlier this month showed a growing
number of Americans support Israel over the Palestinians and
will vote for political candidates based on their stance regarding
the Jewish state. Continued: http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=222241

- FROM WND'S JERUSALEM BUREAU: THE EYES OF OBAMA ARE EVERYWHERE,
EVEN ON TEMPLE MOUNT
Event organizers grilled by U.S. government over connection to
holy site - March 14, 2010
By Aaron Klein - WorldNetDaily -
Temple Mount
JERUSALEM - A member of the U.S. government met with organizers
of Tuesday's "International Temple Mount Awareness Day"
to pepper the activists about their intentions regarding Jewish
ascent to the holy site. "It was obvious," one of the
planners told WND, "the individual who met with us from
the Obama government was concerned about the Jewish connection
to the Temple Mount and what is being done to deepen it."
The organizer talked on condition of anonymity and also on condition
that WND kept confidential the name of the U.S. official who
met with the Temple event planners.
The International Temple Mount Awareness Day is being planned
by a coalition of Jewish groups, including the Temple Institute,
the Organization for the Renewal of the Temple, Women in Green,
the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation and Israel National Radio.
"We call on Jews and Gentiles around the world to mark March
16th as a day of solidarity with the Temple Mount and the prophetic
vision of 'a house of prayer for all nations,'" reads a
statement from the organizers of the event. Is Israel already
done for? Aaron Klein's "The Late Great State of Israel"
brings you unvarnished truth straight from the front lines
In coordination with the Waqf, the Mount's Islamic custodians,
police here ban all non-Muslims from praying on the Mount despite
an Israeli Supreme Court decision requiring police to offer an
arrangement that will enable public Jewish prayer on the site.
The Israeli police cite security concerns for their Jewish-prayer
restrictions, explaining they fear the outbreak of Muslim violence
if non-Muslim prayer is allowed. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=127940

- ISRAEL BUILDS WORLD'S LARGEST UNDERGROUND HOSPITAL
A massive underground hospital is being built at the Rambam Health
Care Campus in Haifa. All available equipment and workers were
hired to pour the roughly 7,000 cubic meters of concrete needed
to make the hospital's base. At most times, the facility will
provide space for 1,500 employees and visitors to park their
cars. However, in case of emergency, the facility will quickly
become a 2,000-bed hospital protected from both conventional
rocket attacks and chemical or biological warfare. Continued:

- THE JEWISH REPUBLIC OF ISRAEL
Swearing an oath to a Jewish state will decide its fate. It is
liable to turn the country into a theocracy like Saudi Arabia.
By Gideon Levy - October 10, 2010 "Haaretz" -- Remember
this day. It's the day Israel changes its character. As a result,
it can also change its name to the Jewish Republic of Israel,
like the Islamic Republic of Iran. Granted, the loyalty oath
bill that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to have
passed purportedly only deals with new citizens who are not Jewish,
but it affects the fate of all of us.
From now on, we will be living in a new, officially approved,
ethnocratic, theocratic, nationalistic and racist country. Anyone
who thinks it doesn't affect him is mistaken. There is a silent
majority that is accepting this with worrying apathy, as if to
say: "I don't care what country I live in." Also anyone
who thinks the world will continue to relate to Israel as a democracy
after this law doesn't understand what it is about. It's another
step that seriously harms Israel's image.
Prime Minister Netanyahu will prove today that he is actually
Yisrael Beinteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman, and Justice Minister
Yaakov Neeman will prove he is really a loyal member of Yisrael
Beiteinu. The Labor party will prove it is nothing more than
a doormat. And Israel today will prove that it doesn't care about
anything. Today the loyalty oath bill, soon the loyalty oath
law. The dam will overflow today, threatening to drown the remnants
of democracy until we are left perhaps with a Jewish state of
a character that no one really understands, but it certainly
won't be a democracy. Those demanding this loyalty oath are the
ones misappropriating loyalty to the state.
At its next session, the Knesset is to debate close to 20 other
anti-democratic bills. Over the weekend, the Association for
Civil Rights in Israel issued a blacklist of legislation: a loyalty
law for Knesset members; a loyalty law for film production; a
loyalty law for non-profits; putting the Palestinian catastrophe,
the Nakba, beyond the scope of the law; a ban on calls for a
boycott; and a bill for the revocation of citizenship. It's a
dangerous McCarthyist dance on the part of ignorant legislators
who haven't begun to understand what democracy is all about.
It's dangerous even if only a portion of the bills become law,
because our fate and our essence will change. Continued: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article26551.htm

ISRAELI FM: DON'T
LET OBAMA IMPOSE 'PEACE'
Monday, October 04, 2010 - Ryan Jones - Israel Today Magazine
- Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Sunday said he
recently learned from reliable sources in the US that the Obama
Administration is planning to impose a peace settlement
on Israel and the Palestinians in the coming months.
In a meeting with other members of his Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel
Our Home) Knesset party, Lieberman warned that US President Barack
Obamas proposal that Israel extend its Jewish building
freeze for another two months in exchange for certain diplomatic
promises must be rejected by the cabinet. According to Lieberman,
those two months would give the US and the international
community two months to come up with a solution that will be
forced on Israel.
The foreign minister was in the US late last month to address
the United Nations General Assembly. During the visit, Lieberman
said he learned that Washington is planning to force a
permanent agreement on Israel "two states for two peoples
along the 1967 borders, plus-minus 3 or 4% of the territory exchanged."
Lieberman said the officials he spoke to informed him that if
Israel did not accept the imposed peace deal, it would lead to
a confrontation with the international community.
In light of the danger, Lieberman said his party has no intention
of leaving the ruling coalition, as some media outlets have suggested,
and will instead strengthen the right-wing elements of Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahus government to ensure Obamas
plans do not come to fruition. http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=178&nid=21977

- IRAN ADMITS IT COULD PULL NUKE TRIGGER ON US, ISRAEL
05 Oct 2010 12:11 PM By: Ken Timmerman - NewsMax - For the first
time since the expansion of Irans nuclear program was exposed
in 2002, the Iranian government is dropping the pretense that
it is developing nuclear technology purely for peaceful purposes.
Iran has developed nuclear war plans to deter U.S. and Israeli
aggression and retaliate against it, a top adviser to Defense
Minister Ahmad Vahidi announced in a strategic analysis.
Defense Ministry analyst Alireza Saeidabadis detailed analysis,
published last week on a website that Irans intelligence
ministry runs, examines several scenarios in which Iran could
become embroiled in a shooting war with the United States or
Israel.
One of the scenarios Iranian military planners must consider
is a strategic nuclear U.S. strike on Iran, he writes. If that
occurred, Iranian planning documents call for attacks against
U.S. interests "on the world stage," his analysis says.
The Iranian military should "prioritize its air force and
ballistic missile fleet" in dealing with a conventional
attack from Israel, Saeidabadi writes.
But in the event Israel uses unconventional weapons against Iran,
"then Iran should employ a nuclear strategy."
Similarly, if Iran and the United States get engaged in naval
clashes in the Persian Gulf, Iran should "use its sea power
for hit-and-run attacks, commando attacks, and use anti-shipping
missiles" against U.S. naval vessels. Continued:

- US BACKS PALESTINIAN AIRPORT NEAR JERUSALEM
Construction could affect outcome of future agreement with Israel
Posted: October 01, 2010 - 12:45 am Eastern - By Aaron Klein
- WorldNetDaily - JERUSALEM The Obama administration supports
the concept of the Palestinian Authority opening an airport near
Jerusalem, according to PA sources speaking to WND.
The PA is planning to start the infrastructure of the airport
in the town of al Buqya, between Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley.
WND has learned that PA official Saadi el-Krunz is heading the
PA campaign to raise money for the airport.
In line with the demand that Israel freeze all Jewish construction
in the West Bank and eastern section of Jerusalem, WND has learned
that the U.S. is aiding the Palestinians in building infrastructure
in largely Arab eastern Jerusalem neighborhoods controlled by
Israel.
In so doing, the U.S. is working with the PA to change the facts
on the ground, which could affect the outcome of a future Israel
Palestinian agreement.
A WND investigation previously determined the U.S. has been aiding
the Palestinians in developing infrastructure in eastern Jerusalem,
including on property owned by Jews. (Story continues below)

- HUGE PAY-OFF FOR RETAINING THE M.E. CONFLICT
By Steven Shamrak - The U.S. State Department announced the largest
weapons sale in the history of the United States: $60 billion
worth of combat planes and helicopters to Saudi Arabia. The Obama
Administration has notified Congress of the plans for the 20-year
deal. It is to include 84 F-15 fighter aircraft and over 170
helicopters, the upgrading of 70 older-model F-15 planes, and
the sale of smaller air force items. The helicopter deal includes
70 Apaches, 72 Blackhawks, and 32 MH-6 Little Birds. (Obviously
keeping the Arab-Israel conflict artificially inflamed and not
allowing Israel to end it, and instigating a fake "war on
terror" in Iraq encompasses some hidden agendas. One of
them is this financial bonanza for the US and other peace loving
weapon pushers!) http://www.shamrak.com/index.php

BROKEN ACCORDS MUST BE BURRIED
By Steven Shamrak - A senior PA official warned that it may break
previous accords for the 'peace process' if Israel does not agree
to its demands. However, the PA already has broken the agreements,
that - among others - declare Israel will be a Jewish state,
and the PA will halt all incitement and dismantle its terrorist
infrastructure. The PLO also has not changed its charter denying
the existence of Israel. (Israel must put a stop to endless and
useless strings of agreements with terrorists and start building
the Jewish state, without residential enemies!) http://www.shamrak.com/index.php

UNREPORTED BY MEDIA 'WORK ACCIDENT'
by Steven Shamrak - More than a dozen people, including five
children and three women, were wounded a week ago by a Hamas
"work accident" at one of the terrorist organisation's
military bases, located in a crowded neighbourhood in the southern
Gaza border city of Rafiah. Explosives often are detonated prematurely
or accidentally while terrorists are setting up roadside bombs,
suicide bomber belts and similar weapons. (In violation of the
Geneva Convention, Arab terrorists are using women and children
as "human shields". Nobody demands that they be trailed
by an international court! 'Humanists' and 'objective' media
are silent!)

DECLARING RACHEL'S TOMB TO BE A MOSQUE?
by Steven Shamrak - Another Example of International anti-Israel
Bastardry . The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural
Organization (UNESCO - the Arab League affiliate) voted recently
to officially declare Rachel's Tomb to be a mosque. The vote
called for Rachel's Tomb and the Tomb of the Patriarchs - the
burial site of the other Biblical Patriarchs and Matriarchs -
to be removed from Israel's National Heritage list. http://www.shamrak.com/index.php

WHY MUST ISRAEL COOPERATE WITH INTERNATIONAL HYPOCRITES?
By Steven Shamrak - Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah called
on Lebanese citizens not to cooperate with the UN's inquiry committee
into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik
Hariri. His statement comes just two days after two members of
the committee were forcefully removed from a clinic in a neighbourhood
in southern Beirut. (Once again there is no international condemnation
and the world the press is silent!) http://www.shamrak.com/index.php

"DELUSION" IS A MEDICAL CONDITION!
By Steven Shamrak - Israel wants a real peace agreement with
the Palestinians which will ensure Israeli security, and will
not be satisfied with "papers and promises", Premier
Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday night, ahead of the start of (recent)
direct negotiations between the sides. (Which has never really
eventuated)
"We will not allow the firing of thousands of rockets and
missiles from Palestinian territories into Israel as was the
case when we pulled out of Lebanon and Gaza," he told members
of his Likud Party at a traditional toast to mark the Jewish
New year.
"That is not peace. We want real agreements on the ground
that ensure the security of Israel and its citizens," Netanyahu
said. (Thirteen years after the Oslo Accords, both sides of Israeli
politics are still playing dangerous delusional games that peace
with Islamic terror is possible).
The Prime Minister left for Washington, to attend a summit kicking
off the long-delayed direct talks, the first face-to-face negotiations
between the sides in more than a year. (What a misuse of time
and money it was!)
According to the Ha'aretz daily, he told the Likud members that
"real peace lasts for generations," citing as an example
the peace agreement Israel and Egypt signed in 1979. (And we
all know what kind of a back-stabbing neighbour Egypt is!)
He said peace was an attainable goal, but noted that it was not
entirely up to Israel alone. (It is entirely up to Israel! It
is time to face the truth - the enemies of Israel will never
give up on the idea of destroying the Jewish state. Negotiations
have time and again proven to be a waste of time. Only a strong
Israel, pursuing and achieving Zionist goals without regard to
fake political correctness, will be able to make our enemies
to accept a newly created reality!) http://www.shamrak.com/index.php

- ISRAEL MILITARY SAYS AIRSTRIKES KILLS GAZA MILITANT
AP - Wednesday, November 03, 2010 6:06:09 AM By IBRAHIM BARZAK
The military said the target was Mohammed Namnam, 25, of the
Army of Islam group. A military statement asserted that the Army
of Islam is tied to al-Qaida and world jihad, but Palestinians
said it does not have a direct, operational connection with Osama
bin Laden's group.
The military said Namnam was involved in attacks against Israelis,
and recently "Namnam was involved with directing a terror
attack against American and Israeli targets in the (Egyptian)
Sinai Peninsula, in cooperation with Hamas elements in the Gaza
Strip." It gave no further details.
The airstrike took place just outside the headquarters of the
ruling Hamas' police force in Gaza City. Another person was injured,
Hamas said.
In past years Israeli aircraft have often targeted Gaza militants,
but the frequency of the strikes has diminished considerably
in recent months. An unwritten truce has been in effect since
Israel's devastating three-week offensive in Gaza last year,
aimed at halting rocket attacks.
Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich, a military spokeswoman, claimed that
Namnam was a "ticking bomb" planning more attacks,
indicating that the Wednesday airstrike did not signal a return
to frequent Israeli air attacks on Gaza.
"From time to time we have the relevant intelligence information
for such an event, and there can be similar events in the future,"
she said.
The Army of Islam draws inspiration from al-Qaida, according
to Palestinian experts. It is one of several small, shadowy militant
groups operating in Gaza, sometimes clashing with the territory's
Hamas rulers.

- ISRAEL TAKES AIM AT PALESTINIAN INCITEMENT
AP - Wednesday, November 03, 2010 7:25:15 AM By IAN DEITCH
AwlakiIsrael announced Wednesday it will officially monitor "incitement"
by the Palestinians, taking aim at what it says are widespread
provocations against the Jewish state that undermine efforts
to reach Mideast peace.
The announcement further strained an atmosphere that has grown
increasingly tense in recent weeks following the breakdown of
U.S.-sponsored Mideast peace talks. Palestinians accused Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to divert attention
away from the impasse in the negotiations and its own failures
to live up to obligations, such as a settlement freeze.
Israel has long claimed that Palestinian leaders promote -- or
tolerate -- hatred in school textbooks, public speeches and their
official media. Israel have especially bristled at maps in schoolbooks
and documents that do not designate Israel, and Palestinian TV
broadcasts of mosque leaders denigrating Jews.
All this feeds off -- and perhaps amplifies -- what Israelis
consider a hostile atmosphere, reflected in the fact that militants
who carried out deadly attacks against Israeli civilians are
widely regarded as heroes in the Palestinian territories, and
streets and other public domains are often named after them.

- ISRAEL CUTS OFF SPECIAL DIALOGUE WITH BRITAIN
AP - Wednesday, November 03, 2010 4:56:24 AM By DANIEL ESTRIN
Israel has suspended a special strategic dialogue with London
as long as Israeli officials visiting Britain face possible arrest
for suspected war crimes against Palestinians, officials said
Wednesday.
The announcement came as British Foreign Secretary William Hague
met with senior Israeli officials in Jerusalem. Officials from
both countries said the matter would be high on the meeting's
agenda, and the British Foreign Office said it was working to
resolve the matter.
British officials also said Hague would repeat Britain's criticism
of West Bank settlements.
They said he would tell Israeli leaders that the "window
for a two-state solution is closing" and that the U.S.-led
peace process is the best opportunity for the two sides to hold
talks. The British officials spoke on condition of anonymity
in line with government policy.
The latest round of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, launched
at the White House in September, stalled quickly over Israel's
rejection of Palestinian demands for a continued freeze on West
Bank settlement construction. Israel says the issue should be
discussed in the negotiations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told parliament Wednesday
he will meet next week with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham
Clinton to discuss efforts to revive the talks. Netanyahu will
be in the U.S. for a meeting of Jewish leaders. Earlier it was
announced he would meet Vice President Joe Biden.
Netanyahu expressed appreciation for Washington's role in the
peace process.
"I know that we have the desire to move it forward, and
we have taken steps to do that. I am sure that the U.S. has such
a desire," he said. "I hope that the Palestinian Authority
also has such a desire."
The Israel-Palestinian conflict continues to cloud Israel's relations
with other countries, including Britain. Continued: http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/11/03/1906394/israel-cuts-off-special-dialogue.html

- IRAN SAYS WEST'S 'ARROGANCE' COULD DOOM NUKIE TALKS
AP - Wednesday, November 03, 2010 1:35:39 AM By ALI AKBAR DAREINI
Iran's president said Wednesday that upcoming talks with six
world powers about its disputed nuclear program will fail if
those nations continue along what he called a "path of arrogance."
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's comments, made in an address to a crowd
of thousands in northeastern Iran, cast doubt on any possible
progress in talks that Tehran has said it is ready to hold with
the six powers -- the U.S., Russia, China, Britain, France and
Germany -- sometime after Nov. 10.
The U.S. and some of its allies suspect Iran's civil nuclear
energy program is a cover for a secret effort to develop weapons
and are pushing the Tehran to fully open all facilities to international
inspection and to give up uranium enrichment, a key element of
its nuclear work that could give it a pathway to the bomb.
Iran denies having nuclear weapons ambitions and says it only
wants to enrich uranium to the lower levels used in producing
fuel for power plants and nuclear medical radioisotopes used
to treat patients.
The standoff is the central issue of dispute between Iran and
the West, and Ahmadinejad often accuses the U.S. in particular
of using the confrontation to thwart Iran's technological progress
and of wanting to dominate the nations of the Middle East.
"You have only one option: That's recognizing the right
and greatness of the Iranian nation," Ahmadinejad said in
a speech broadcast live on state television. "Should you
choose this path, nations may forgive you ... but if you want
to continue the previous path of arrogance ... these people (the
Iranian nation) will pursue you until you end up in hell."

- ISRAELI AIRPORT GIVES RARE GLIMPSE INTO SECURITY
AP - Tuesday, November 02, 2010 8:35:43 AM By DANIEL ESTRIN -
Airport security around the world isn't good enough, an Israeli
airport official said Tuesday while showing international experts
Israel's near-legendary methods as a possible solution. Israel,
which prides itself on airport and airplane security, showed
off robots and procedures to keep passengers safe. One method
has been condemned in other countries -- profiling.
- Nahum Liss of the Israeli Airports Authority said Israel's
heavily fortified international airport is the most protected
in the world, speaking as authorities on three continents were
investigating cargo bombs intercepted at airports last week in
Britain and Dubai. A confident Liss told about 50 visiting security
experts that security procedures at Ben-Gurion International
Airport "are built in order to confront this kind of threat."
- Israel is known for its stringent airport security, the result
of a string of Palestinian attacks on Israeli planes in the 1970s.
Before approaching the ticket counter, passengers are thoroughly
questioned by "selectors" who look for travelers who
match a suspicious profile.
- "In the U.S., profiling is a bad word," Liss said,
but he defended the practice, saying it is done by "intelligent,
motivated" university students who served in Israel's military
and can identify passengers who could pose a potential risk.
