Corsi - October 12, 2005 © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com Israel for the first time has given off signals that the time grows short until the Jewish state attacks Iran, whether or not the world supports the military action. The Saudi newspaper al-Watan reported last week that in April of this year at their meeting in Texas, Prime Minister Sharon presented President Bush satellite photos of Iran's nuclear facilities and asked the U.S. to cooperate in a military strike. When the president coldly refused, Sharon communicated that Israel would set a specific date in 2006 beyond which it would no longer wait. If diplomacy does not stop Iran's secret nuclear weapons program by that date, Israel will attack in self-defense. There is good reason why Israel is growing increasingly trigger-happy. Last week, Iran's new president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, placed the military firmly in control of Iran's nuclear program. This decision strongly undermines Iran's argument that the purpose of the country's nuclear program is entirely peaceful. Increasingly, the evidence coming out of Iran suggests that leaders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRCG, are dominating the country's Supreme National Security Council, the country's top foreign-policy group under the constitution. Ahmadinejad himself is a former IRCG commander, as is Ali Larijani, who is both the secretary-general of the Supreme National Security Council and the top negotiator for Iran's nuclear program internationally. Under Ahmadinejad's leadership, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamanei has taken increasing hold, moving to suppress dissent within Iran and to take a confrontational posture toward the EU-3, the U.S. and Israel. In August 2005, Iran defied the EU-3 by breaking off negotiations and resuming uranium processing at Isfahan. Last week, Ahmadinejad told Iran's state-run television that advances had been made at Isfahan. "In the sphere of nuclear fuel cycle activities, today we are one step ahead of two months ago," he said. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hamid Reza Asefi affirmed that several tons of uranium hexafluoride gas have been produced at Isfahan since resuming activities in August, but that the gas initially produced was low quality, not suitable for putting into the centrifuges for enrichment. Mohamed ElBaradei, the head of the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency affirmed that Iran has produced seven tons of uranium hexafluoride gas since August. Ahmadinejad's statement this week suggests the remaining technical problems at Isfahan are being solved. Other factions, mostly local groupings of large families or clans, won control of the other 40 councils, according to Jamal al-Shobaki, head of the Palestinian election commission, who released the final figures to reporters in Ramallah. Fatah won 54 percent of the vote, electing 547 council members, and Hamas won 26 percent, electing 265 members. Turnout was 84 percent in this third round of local elections, with a final and more important round, involving the major cities of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, expected in December. Hamas is traditionally weaker in the West Bank than in the more conservative and isolated Gaza Strip, and some of its main candidates, including the West Bank leader Sheik Hassan Youssef, were arrested by the Israeli Army last Sunday night, preventing them from campaigning. Hamas was also damaged by the perception that it had given Israel the pretext for rocket attacks, arrests and killings of suspected militants by launching dozens of rockets at Israel last week. Hamas carried out the attacks after falsely claiming that Israel was responsible for the explosion of its weaponry during a march in Gaza on Sept. 23, a blast that killed 16 people and wounded more than 100. Fatah should be able to form alliances in municipalities won by other factions, Mr. Shobaki said. "We expect Hamas to gain no more than one more municipality," he said. In Gaza City, a Hamas spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri, said Mr. Shobaki, a Fatah official, had intentionally avoided announcing that Fatah had run unopposed in 22 councils. Anti-Defamation League director Abraham Foxman said the effort is offensive because the Southern Baptists are using Jews who have converted to Christianity "to go after other Jews." "If people convert, that's their individual business," Foxman said. "But don't use them as a tool to convert other people." At the heart of the ADL's complaint is a decision by the Southern Baptist Convention executive committee to ask its missionary boards to study the idea of recognizing the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship as "an evangelistic mission to Jewish people." The fellowship is made up of about a dozen congregations in the United States. Its Web site says its mission is "to encourage Jewish believers that their ethnic and historical heritage need NOT be lost upon their commitment to Yeshua [Jesus]." Religious Intolerance Research resources on religious freedom, tolerance, and intolerance. The idea to use the fellowship was proposed at the national convention in Nashville in June. The SBC executive committee recommended last week that its International Mission Board and North American Mission Board study the possibility. Jim Sibley, coordinator of Jewish Ministries for the SBC's North American Mission Board, said the ADL was overreacting. The committee was simply forwarding the proposal, he said. "Personally, I don't really see this (recommendation) going anywhere," Sibley said Thursday. There's a history of conflict between Jews and Southern Baptists over this issue. The Southern Baptist Convention passed a resolution in 1996 calling on its members to "direct our energies and resources toward the proclamation of the gospel to the Jewish people." A 1999 prayer guide by the International Mission Board recommended conversion of Jews to Christianity during their High Holy Days, an effort labeled "offensive and disrespectful" by Jewish leaders. As recently as 2003 Jewish leaders criticized a Southern Baptist seminary president for saying Christians have a mandate to evangelize Jews just as a surgeon has a responsibility to tell a patient about the presence of a "deadly tumor." Now, Foxman said, "they're trying another approach." "Maybe they think Jews will talk to Jews because they feel more comfortable," he said. Said Sibley: "We believe we have a life-changing message that we are commanded to tell everyone. We don't use force, and we don't want to be rude or offensive in any way." ----- GAZA PULLOUT PARALLELS AFTERMATH OF HURRICANE KATRINA! Noting an eerily parallel with Katrina, and what has just happened in Gaza. One FOX commentator said: "It must be an emotional experience to walk away from their houses and not know if they will be able to live in them again." (referring to inhabitants in New Orleans.) 1.) Yet that is exactly what transpired recently with Gaza's Jewish population. "Walking away from their homes, never to return." At the exact same time hurricane Katrina churned in the Atlantic, 8,500 residents of Gush Katif (compare to Gulf, Katrina), were forced from their homes from pressure within their own government and pressure from the U.S. and other nations. Another newscaster mentioned that most of the homes in New Orleans were made of wood and the surrounding farms were destroyed. 2.) Nearly all of the wooden structures in Gaza's Jewish communities and farms have been destroyed. We know that flooding in New Orleans caused coffins to be loosed from their above-ground crypts, resulting in coffins and bodies been dislodged from their resting place. Grave robbing was reported. 3.) In Gaza, there was the forced removal of Jewish graves and the transportation of the corpses for reburial in other parts of Israel. New Orleans is also called the "Crescent City." The crescent is also the sign of Islam. The same week that the disastrous hurricane and post- hurricane flooding occurred here, Iraq experienced a horrible catastrophe with almost 1,000 people, (mostly women and children) falling off of a bridge to their deaths. I kept thinking about the rejection of living water and replacing it with water that gives no life. New Orleans had their water become unimaginably polluted with death, turning the city into a cesspool of human and animal decay, with floating sewage, etc. These incidents remind me of both the fountain of living waters, (Revelation 7: 17) or the rejection thereof, resulting in waters that contain death. (Revelation 8: 10,11, 11: 6, 16: 4). America now will face a huge refugee crisis, with up to 1,000,000 predicted refugees in need of resettlement. 4.) Israel too now has a flood of refugees who were forced from their homes in the Gaza and the West Bank. (Judea and Samaria.) They will now be living in refuge camps and tent cities until the government can house them. Now I ask you, is America and Israel linked by tragedy in this past week? Is it but an odd collection of circumstances? I believe America and Israel Are indeed linked. Now we both have had grief, perplexity, distress on our nations, and fearful sights. Christians have not yet been targeted for their support of Israel, but with such threats, it might change the face of American tourism in Israel. Many Christians routinely visit Israel to show their support of the nation's right to their land. Hamas has stated that it hates Christian Zionists as it hates the Jewish state. What is a 'Christian Zionist?' Christian Zionists believe that the God of Israel gave the Land of Israel to the People of Israel. They also believe that they are to stand with Israel against those who are out to rob the Jews of their land. Most Christian Zionists are Evangelical believers, though not all. Millions of Christian Zionists from all over the world support the Jewish claims to the Land of Israel and reject Arab assertions that they have national rights to this land. These same Christian Zionists believe that any attempt to wrest the land out of the control of Israel is going against the Word of God. They also do not deny that Arabs could live within the land but the land must remain under Jewish sovereignty, rejecting any claims by Arabs to hold any form of sovereignty over any part of this land. Cologne was the oldest Jewish settlement north of the Alps and home to a community of 11,000 when the Nazis came to power in 1933. The main synagogue and three others were torched on Kristallnacht in 1938. The Pope, who was Cardinal Josef Ratzinger from Bavaria before he assumed the papacy in April, branded the Nazi regime "insane" and said: "Sixty years after the liberation of Auschwitz I bow my head to the victims, all the victims, men, women and children, herded into gas chambers and then burned in the crematoriums. "This was an unspeakable and previously unimaginable crime." While Catholic-Jewish relations have improved tremendously in the past half century, Pope Benedict warned that new threats of racism and anti-Semitism were always lurking. The Pope repeated a promise he has made to Jews since the start of his pontificate that he would "continue on the path towards improved relations and friendship" blazed by his predecessor John Paul. He urged both sides to try to reach what he called "a shared interpretation of disputed historical questions". This appeared to be a reference to the role of wartime pontiff Pius XII, the man many claim turned a blind eye to the Holocaust. http://www.scotsman.com/?id=1814512005 ----- THE PATH TO ISRAEL'S SALVATION While attending the worship watch at Succat Hallel in Jerusalem, I began getting a word from the Lord. I sensed the Lord saying I've made a way for the salvation of my people Israel. And I began to see a lighted path going through the darkness. But as I saw this tunnel of light begin to illuminate, I realized it was bumpy and uneven with many pot holes, and pretty much impassable. And I felt the Lord showing me that His path is there but in order for it to be made passable, the lumps, bumps and holes would have to be leveled out by stones. And I began to see stones being placed in the bumps and gaps. Different size stones, and different colored stones, and I realized that the stones the Lord was using and going to use were living stones, His children in the body of Messiah, from around the world. That as we lay down our lives, and submit to Him. That He would place us along that path of salvation for others. I saw that there was no glory in it for the stones as they were laid down. The stones appeared to be broken, in order to fit into the holes they were to go into. The more the stones were assembled and become inter connected they began to form a path that carries a multitude. The lost of Israel and the nations will walk on them to reach the Lord who is standing at the end of this pathway of life. I then began to understand that the Lord was saying if my people who are called by name would lay down their lives and humble themselves. And just allow Me to love them to life, that they would then in turn be His instruments of life. He would take them, and their surrendered lives and use them to bring the lost home to Himself. As the body of Messiah comes to that place where they lay down all of their hopes and plans, and surrender even into the obscure place of service. Laying down all desires to be some one, and pickup the desire that He be seen in our lives. Knowing that to be great in Gods kingdom is to be a servant, or even a slave. Seeking to promote others even ahead of ourselves, so as to be this path of living stones. Which one day will be a glorious temple of praise unto the King of Glory. As we join with the angels singing Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty. These two verses were also spoken into my spirit: Jeremiah 31:20-21, "Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.
