Israeli Knesset member and former Chief of Staff for the IDF, Shaul Mofaz says that the prospects of war is inevitable if through diplomatic moves, the UN declares a Palestinian state based on its own unilateral definition of its borders, this also would cause a major conflict in the region. As world leaders work at bringing resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the peace process, the whole process seems to be moving closer to a major conflict breaking out in the region. Recent warnings from Israeli officials that the Middle East process could lead to a world war is right in line with the end times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy. There will only be true peace in the Middle East and world wide when the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, comes back. The United States has asked Russia to deliver an ultimatum to Iran, warning the Islamic Republic that it has one last chance for talks before a military strike, the Kommersant daily quoted Russian diplomats according to the Russian newspaper. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in New York on Monday to tell Tehran that it has one last chance to solve the conflict peacefully by making progress in the talks with the P5+1 group - United States, Britain, France, Russia, China, and Germany. Otherwise, an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities will occur within months, the diplomats said. The report in Kommersant did not give further details regarding the kind of military action the U.S. was threatening, but quoted Russian diplomats at the UN as saying they believe that it is a "matter of when, not if" Israel would strike Iran's nuclear facilities. Last week, Clinton said that there is still space for diplomacy to resolve Iran's nuclear standoff with the West shortly after European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton announced that the P5+1 group agreed to restart talks with Iran. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a series of television interviews, said that an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities could take place within months. "We're not standing with a stopwatch in hand," he said. "It's not a matter of days or weeks, but also not of years. The result must be removal of the threat of nuclear weapons in Iran's hands." Netanyahu met with U.S. President Barack Obama and tried to pressure him to harden his tone on Iran. Netanyahu told Obama that he had not yet made any decision about whether to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, though he made it clear he did not rule out such a move in the future. In statements to the press both before and after the meeting Netanyahu said Israel has the sovereign right to defend itself against Iran. According to the report, the two top Palestinian officials cut all forms of communication, after Fayyad refused to head a delegation to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week. According to the report, Abbas refuses to answer Fayyad's calls, and the presidential office is refraining from scheduling a meeting between the two to decide on changes in Fayyad's government. Last Tuesday, Fayyad refused to head a delegation to meet Netanyahu and deliver a missive concerning the freeze in peace talks from Abbas addressed to the Israeli Prime Minister. According to the officials, Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh won the race by a significant margin. According to the report, top American officials said the so-called war game was not designed as a rehearsal for American military action, and emphasized that the results were not the only possible outcome of a potential conflict. However, the report also stated that the simulation has raised fears among top American planners that it may be impossible to prevent American involvement in any escalating confrontation with Iran, the officials said. The exhibit, set to take place at Piazza Duomo, has been planned in honor of 'Israel Week' in the city. It includes 15 towers showcasing Israeli culture, technology, agriculture, economics, and art "to present the unfamiliar Israel". But pro-Palestinian organizations are threatening to target the exhibit. Over the past few days the groups have been urging internet users to sign a petition to cancel the exhibit. Web posters issued by the groups threaten to "ignite the city" and say, "No to Israeli occupation of Milano". The exhibit has received all necessary permits from Milan's municipality, but political turmoil surrounding the election process in the city have apparently short-circuited communications between the municipality and police, who say officers stationed at the open-air plaza will have difficulty securing the area in the event violence breaks out. On Monday the municipality was preparing to hold a conference that could end with orders to move the exhibit to a closed space. However, others say the idea stinks of anti-Semitism and goes against the 39-year-old Union Street co-op’s mission statement of commitment to ‘diversity and equality.’ If a majority of members attending shoot the down the referendum proposal, it’s dead and the co-op can continue selling Israel-imported products like the popular-selling Sodastream seltzer maker, bath salts and paprika. International supporters and hundreds of thousands of participants are expected to take part in the Global March on Jerusalem Friday, as Israel braces for potential attempts to breach the Jewish state's borders.. The event, which is expected to include marches and protests across the region, is entering its final preparations, as IDF forces are also deploying in a bid to prevent any disruptions on Israel's borders. The IDF is preparing for the possibility that attempts will be made to breach Israel's borders. Three of the Israeli police officers who acted to protect the Christian group were wounded by the stone-throwers. Police arrested 11 Palestinians, several of them minors, for their role in the attack. The attack is believed to have been instigated by the former Muslim mufti of Jerusalem, Ekrama Sabri, who told Palestinian media over the weekend that Jewish groups were planning to break into the mosques that occupy the holy compound and desecrate them. Sabri urged all local Muslims to protect the mosques from ‘the Israeli conspiracy against the city and its holy places.’ Muslim religious figures regularly claim that Israel is plotting to destroy the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque to pave the way for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple, which the Muslims now insist never previously existed. Because of the constant threat of Muslim violence, and despite the fact that the Temple Mount is the most holy place on earth to Jews and many Christians, the Israeli police comply with Muslim demands for harsh restrictions on non-Muslim visitors to the site. For instance, Jews and Christians are forbidden to carry Bibles atop the Temple Mount or to utter even silent prayers within its walls.
