SON OF HAMAS LEADER TURNS BACK
ON ISLAM AND EMBRACES CHRISTIANITY
- Tuesday, August 12, 2008 - By Jonathan Hunt - Mosab Hassan
Yousef is an extraordinary young man with an extraordinary story.
He was born the son of one of the most influential leaders of
the militant Hamas organization in the West Bank and grew up
in a strict Islamic family.
- Now, at 30 years old, he attends an evangelical Christian
church, Barabbas Road in San Diego, Calif. He renounced his Muslim
faith, left his family behind in Ramallah and is seeking asylum
in the United States.
- The story of how his life unfolded is truly amazing, whether
you agree or disagree with his views. Below is a transcript on
an exclusive FOX News interview with Hassan as he tells firsthand
how a West Bank Muslim became a West Coast Christian.

- NETANYAHU SAYS, ISRAEL, RUSSIA FACE COMMEN THREATS
MOSCOW | Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:00am EDT

Minister Vladimir Putin. (AP photo, Pool)
- MOSCOW (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
said in Moscow on Thursday that Russia and Israel will face a
common threat if "radical Islamist" states acquire
nuclear weapons, Russian news agencies reported.
- Netanyahu, whose government has urged Russia to increase
pressure on Iran over its nuclear program, spoke to Russian media
bosses before talks with President Dmitry Medvedev.
- "There is a now a big risk that radicalization of Islamist
regimes will begin in the Middle East," state-run Itar-Tass
quoted Netanyahu as saying, according to a translation of his
remarks into Russian.
- "This risk is dangerous not only for Israel but (also)
for Russia," Netanyahu said. The Kremlin is fighting an
uphill battle with Islamist insurgents in its mainly Muslim North
Caucasus region, where rebels want to carve out a separate state
with Sharia law.
- A decade after separatists were driven out of power in the
second of two wars in Chechnya, the North Caucasus are plagued
by violence and analysts say the insurgency is gaining membership
numbers and spreading in scope.
- "But it will be much worse if radical Islamist regimes
acquire nuclear weapons. Terror will be aimed against all. That
is why the most important thing now is to prevent Iran from acquiring
nuclear weapons," Netanyahu was quoted as saying. Netanyahu
said the international community must make clear to Iran that
it will face military action if it continues to defy demands
for proof it is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons, Itar-Tass
reported.
- Russia backed a fourth round of U.N. sanctions against Tehran
over its nuclear program last June but has emphasized its opposition
to military action, saying the persistent standoff must be resolved
instead through diplomacy. Israel applauded Russia when it voted
in favor of the sanctions and President Dmitry Medvedev subsequently
said a longstanding deal to sell Iran high-precision S-300 missile
systems was outlawed by the sanctions. (Reporting by Steve Gutterman;

is ready to use great force in retaliation for recent
rocket fire from the Gaza Strip and a bombing in Jerusalem. Gates
condemned the attacks upon his arrival in Israel yesterday, while
appealing for bold action to resurrect Middle East
peace efforts. The Pentagon chief later traveled to the West

- NETANYAHU, ABBAS MAY CROSS PATHS IN MOSCOW AS RUSSIA SEEKS
ROLE
March 22, 2011, 5:33 PM EDT - By Calev Ben-David - March 23 (Bloomberg)
-- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu heads to Moscow
today, where he will cross paths with Palestinian Authority President
Mahmoud Abbas as they consult separately with a Russian leadership
looking to insert itself into Middle East peacemaking.
- Violence has been escalating between Israel and the Hamas-
controlled Gaza Strip. Israeli soldiers yesterday fired mortar
shells into Gaza killing four teenagers playing soccer, and an
air strike left three other people dead in a separate incident,
a Gaza health official said.
- Israeli-Palestinian peace talks stalled in September after
Netanyahu refused to extend a 10-month partial construction freeze
in West Bank settlements. Abbas has said he wont negotiate
with Israel while the building continues. There is nothing
planned in terms of a meeting between Abbas and Netanyahu in
Moscow, Palestinian Liberation Organization executive committee
member Hanan Ashrawi said in a phone interview, adding that the
timing of the visits likely wasnt coincidental. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-03-22/netanyahu-abbas-may-

- DOWN FATAH AVENUE, ON THE HAMAS SQUARE: RAMALLAH PRAISES
ITS HEROES THROUGH STREET NAMES
RussiaToday Jan 8, 2011 The West Bank city of Ramallah
is naming its streets to mark its 100th anniversary, but some
of the choices are causing controversy as they honor people involved
in planning terrorist acts. This naming is part of a regeneration
scheme started two years ago, but it is already being seen by
some as a sign of growing extremism. Before the scheme was launched,
there were no street names, street signs or house numbers that
could help people navigate around the city. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW76FUfO3ns

- OPPOSITION CALLS FOR NETANYAHU ETHICS PROBE
- JERUSALEM - Israel's main opposition party is demanding Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be investigated over a report that
his foreign travel was paid for by wealthy donors seeking influence
in the government.
- Tweet Be the first to Tweet this!Yahoo! Buzz ShareThis The
Kadima Party says it has asked the attorney general to investigate
criminal and ethical violations alleged in an investigative report
on Israel's Channel 10 TV. It based its report on what it said
was the premier's address book, pages of which it showed in the
report, and other personal documents. The report alleges that
during the 10-year period between Netanyahu's first and second
terms as prime minister, flights, hotels and food for Netanyahu
and his family were provided by donors, businessmen and private
organizations. Netanyahu says the accusations are libelous, recycled
and false.

- OBAMA'S ISRAEL SQUEEZE: WORSE THAN YOU KNOW
Demands Jewish state retreat from territory vital for survival
- Posted: November 12, 2010 - 1:00 am Eastern - By Aaron Klein
- WorldNetDaily - NEW YORK A U.S. proposal for a deal
with the Palestinian Authority did not include an Israeli lease
for part of the strategic Jordan Valley as widely reported, according
to a senior PA official speaking to WND. The PA official said
the proposed deal from the Obama administration instead gave
most of that territory entirely to Palestinian control.
- The official was referring to a report from Israel's Army
Radio US which claimed the Obama administration proposed that
Israel relinquish the Jordan Valley to the Palestinians and that
the Jewish state would lease back parts of the valley from the
Palestinians for a up to seven years.
- According to that report, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu
agreed to the idea, but asked for the arrangement for the lease
to be longer than seven years. The PA official told WND the Obama
administration instead has adopted the Palestinian position that
the Jordan Valley should become part of a future Palestinian
state entirely.
- The official said the U.S. had proposed that international
troops, along with Jordanian and Palestinian forces, would patrol
the area. The official said discussions would be held with Israel
for special security arrangements in the Jordan Valley to be
determined. Continues: http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=227013#ixzz1HpyteeXi

- WorldNetDaily - Guess who wants to give up West Bank - Israel's
Army Radio US claimed the Obama administration proposed that
Israel relinquish the Jordan Valley to the Palestinians and that
the Jewish state would lease back parts of the valley from the
Palestinians for a up to seven years.
- According to that report, Netanyahu agreed to the idea, but
asked for the arrangement for the lease to be longer than seven
years. A PA official told WND, however, the Obama administration
instead has adopted the Palestinian position that the Jordan
Valley should become part of a future Palestinian state entirely.
- The PA official said no part of the Obama proposal allowed
for Israel to lease the Jordan Valley.
- He said it was Netanyahu's office which presented a counter-offer
of leasing the Jordan Valley from the PA.
- The PA official and other Palestinian diplomatic sources
contacted by WND said the PA has no intention of leasing the
Jordan Valley to Israel if it gains the territory in a deal.
The Jordan Valley encompasses a massive swath of territory. Israeli
security analysts and commentators long have argued the country
is indefensible without the valley.
- Prime Minister Ariel Sharon stated multiple times the Jordan
Valley is so vital to Israel's security that Israel must control
it in the future. Netanyahu himself said at a Knesset faction
meeting last February that Israel could never agree to withdraw
from the Jordan Valley under any peace agreement signed with
the Palestinians. Netanyahu told the Israel's Foreign Affairs
and Defense Committee that the Jordan Valley's strategic importance
along the eastern border of the West Bank made it impossible
for Israel to withdraw.
- The Jordan Valley runs from Lake Tiberias in the north to
northern Dead Sea in the south. It continues another 96 miles
south of the Dead Sea to Aqaba along the Jordanian border. The
Jordan Valley forms the border between Israel and Jordan in the
north, and the eastern strip of the strategic West Bank in the
south. The official said the U.S. had proposed that international
troops, along with Jordanian and Palestinian forces, would patrol
the area. The official said discussions would be held with Israel
for special security arrangements in the Jordan Valley to be
determined. Continued: http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=234457#ixzz1HTZMtN5K

- THE RISE OF SAMANTHA POWER AND THE RISKS FOR THE AMERICAN-ISRAEL
RELATIONSHIP
- March 20, 2011 Ed Lasky - As stories leak out regarding who
was responsible for Barack Obama's sudden pivot from passivity
regarding Libya towards military engagement (albeit with England
and France being in the lead) one name has emerged as playing
a key role in persuading him to push the button: Samantha Power.
Her influence might cause qualms among supporters of the American-Israel
relationship. As has been covered by American Thinker and others
(notably Noah Pollak in Commentary Contentions, among them),
Power has been critical of the strength of this friendship and
alliance. This concern should be now be heightened. Not only
has she emerged as a key player in foreign policy but the rationale
that was used to justify American actions towards Libya can be
used by other nations - if not the United States - to justify
more active involvement in the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
- Power was Barack Obama's most influential foreign policy
adviser during the campaign; they go back years and are basketball
and Blackberry buddies. Any influence she has would not be good
for the American-Israel relationship-for reasons outlined here
and here (where she said this regarding problems Barack Obama
had during the campaign; "So much of it is about: Is he
good for the Jews?").
- Power may also have played a role in the granting of the
Presidential Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson, a person with
a checkered record regarding actions towards Israel.
- She now serves on the National Security Council. Foreign-policy
making in this administration has been opaque at best. But one
dynamic that has been now made clear is that Power has emerged
as a key player.
- From John Podhoretz's column in the New York Post:
- The Tuesday-evening meeting at the White House at which the
president decided to move on Libya was "extremely contentious,"
according to a report in Josh Rogin's excellent blog, The Cable.
- Power and a few others took the position that the United
States couldn't stay on the sidelines as Moammar Khadafy murdered
his own people and snuffed out the people-power revolt in the
Middle East in its infancy.
- They were opposed by Power's own boss, National Security
Adviser Tom Donilon and by Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Continued:

HAMAS PROTESTS UN PLANS TO TEACH HOLOCAUST IN GAZA
DIAA HADID - From Associated Press - March 22, 2011 3:27 AM EDT
- GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) The United Nations has launched
a new plan to teach the Holocaust in Gaza schools, drawing fierce
condemnation from Gaza's militant Hamas rulers, school teachers
and even the body tasked with peace negotiations with
Israel.
- If implemented, it would be the first time most Palestinian
children learn about Jewish suffering. But the outcry underscores
how sensitive the issue is to Palestinians.
- "Playing with the education of our children in the Gaza
Strip is a red line," Hamas Education Minister, Mohammed
Asqoul told a website of the group. He said Hamas will block
attempts to teach the Holocaust "regardless of the price."
- The uproar erupted after a U.N. official told a Jordanian
daily in February that UNRWA, the main U.N. agency serving Palestinian
refugees, would introduce a short case study about the Holocaust
to Gaza students as part of its human rights curriculum.
- "Instead of pre-emptive accusations, it is important
for Palestinians ... to fully understand the tragedies and suffering
that happened to all people through generations, without divvying
up facts and taking things out of context," the official,
Sami Mushasha, was quoted as saying.
- UNRWA representatives refused to comment on the record, but
one official said the agency was committed to introducing the
curriculum for the next school year, beginning in September.
- He added that officials were hesitating because they feared
Hamas would incite loyalists to damage U.N. schools or harm their
teachers if they introduce the materials. He requested anonymity
because he was barred from discussing the matter with the media.
- Hamas frequently accuses the U.N. of spreading immorality,
and unknown assailants have attacked the agency's property in
the past, including the torching of summer camps last year.
- Since Hamas seized power of Gaza in 2007, it has viewed the
U.N. as the main challenger to their influence in the coastal
territory. Officials have tried to limit the international group's
vast influence in Gaza, where it operates schools for some 200,000
children.Continued: http://ktar.com/category/world-news-articles/20110322/Hamas-protests-UN-plans-to-teach-Holocaust-in-Gaza/

HAMAS ACCUSES UN OF PLAN TO REACH GAZA KIDS HOLOCAUST LIES.
Hamas condemned the United Nations on Sunday over the international
body's apparent plan to teach Palestinian children in the Gaza
Strip about the Holocaust.
- A spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency
(UNRWA), which educates some 200,000 refugee children in Gaza,
said the Holocaust was not on its current curriculum. He would
not comment on Hamas' statement that it was about to change.
- Branding the Nazi genocide of the Jews "a lie invented
by the Zionists," the Islamist movement that runs the Gaza
Strip wrote in an open letter to a senior UN official that he
should withdraw plans for a new history book in UN schools.
- Palestinians resent the way world powers reacted to the Holocaust
by supporting the establishment of Israel in 1948, a move that
left half the Arab population of then British-ruled Palestine
as refugees in Gaza, the West Bank and abroad.
- Hamas said it believed UNRWA was about to start using a text
for 13-year-olds that included a chapter on the Holocaust.
- In an open letter to local UNRWA chief John Ging, the movement's
Popular Committees for Refugees said: "We refuse to let
our children study a lie invented by the Zionists."

- ROCKETS FROM GAZA HIT DEE INTO SOUTHERN ISRAEL

an Israeli airstrike in Rafah, on the border between Egypt and
southern Gaza Strip, Thursday, March 24, 2011. Israeli aircraft

round of hostilities will fill the vacuum left by an impasse
in Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking. (AP Photo - Eyad Baba)ARON

From Associated Press
March 24, 2011 5:57 PM EDT - JERUSALEM (AP) Palestinian
militants in Gaza fired a new wave of rockets that landed deep
inside Israel Thursday, defying Israeli retaliatory attacks and
threats.
- As the violence threatened to escalate the day after a deadly
Jerusalem bombing, Israel got a boost from the visiting U.S.
defense chief, who said no country could tolerate the "repugnant"
attacks on its soil.
- Police said Gaza militants fired 10 rockets and mortars toward
Israel Thursday, including two rockets that exploded north of
the city of Ashdod, a main Mediterranean port city about 20 miles
(30 kilometers) north of Gaza a first since Israel and
Gaza's Hamas rulers reached an unofficial truce following a three-week
war that ended in January 2009. Israeli airstrikes hit a number
of Gaza targets in retaliation throughout the day.
- Neither side reported injuries or said they wanted a new
fight. But the new hostilities could easily spin out of control,
especially if civilian deaths mount.
- Wednesday's bombing killed a British tourist, and five members
of a Jewish family were slain while they slept in a West Bank
settlement earlier this month. Israel has blamed Palestinians
for both attacks.
- Also this week, Israeli shelling killed three children and
their uncle in Gaza. The army said it was targeting militants.
- The fighting in Gaza has been the fiercest since Israel went
to war there to try to curb years of rocket attacks. The fierce
three-week offensive killed some 1,400 Palestinians, including
hundreds of civilians. Thirteen Israelis also died. The volatile
border has remained largely calm since.

- WHY, ALL OF A SUDDEN, IS THERE REVOLUTION IN THE ARAB WORLD?
Why is there such strife, protest and anger? Why, in so many
nations and at the same time? I believe God Almighty is destabilizing
the Middle East to bring them down to judgment on the mountains
of Israel. The closer we get to a forced agreement between Israel
and their enemies, the palestinians, the greater the uproar and
shaking of the world system: And I will call for a sword against
him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's
sword shall be against his brother. (Ezekiel 38:21)
- And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth,
and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields
and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves,
and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years
(Ezekiel 39:9)
- Seven years (probably the whole Tribulation period) will
it take to burn the weapons and seven months to bury the dead.
- These are not democratic movements that are springing up.
There is no democracy in islam. There is no love, no joy, no
peace, no rest, only anger and vengence and hatred of the Jew.
- Where will the anger end except in a confrontation with the
Jew? A spiritual battle this is, in fulfillment of Bible Prophecy.
David - http://www.soundanalarm.net/
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain:
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the
LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;...(Joel 2:1)

- NO HEALTH CARE, NO JOBS, SOON TO BE NO PENSIONS, BUT OBAMA
NOW FEELS HE CAN START NEW WARS ON A WHIM?

declare they don't like their ruler and start protesting, that's
grounds to start the "humanitarian" bombing?
