- ALL EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez
- May 22, 2007 - REMEMBER AS YOU READ -- IT WAS IN A SPANISH
PAPER - I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered
a terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz . We killed six million
Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz
we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed
the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great
and wonderful people who changed the world. The contribution
of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international
trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world. These are
the people we burned. And under the pretense of tolerance, and
because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of
the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims,
who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and
lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness
to work and support their families with pride.
- They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish
cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime Shut
up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they
plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts. And thus,
in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred,
creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness
and superstition We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the
Jews of Europe and their talent for hoping for a better future
for their children, their determined clinging to life because
life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed
by
the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children
and theirs. What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

- RICE TAPS CLINTON, CARTER FOR MIDDLE EAST ADVICE
WASHINGTON (Reuters) October 26, 2007 - By Sue Pleming - Anxious
not to repeat mistakes of past Middle East peace-making, Secretary
of State Condoleezza Rice has turned to former presidents Bill
Clinton and Jimmy Carter for tips ahead of her own conference
this year. Rice invited Carter, a vocal critic of Bush administration
policies, to the State Department on Wednesday where the two
discussed his Arab-Israeli peacemaking efforts in the 1970s,
State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said on Friday. Their
talks were "good and cordial," he said. They focused
on the Middle East and not Carter's recent criticism of President
George W. Bush's policies in Iraq and elsewhere. A Soviet specialist,
Rice also telephoned another former Democratic president, Bill
Clinton, who tried, and ultimately failed, in his eight years
in office to bring the Israelis and Palestinians together. "She's
trying to draw on the historical record and the experiences of
others to see -- see what she can glean and how that may be applicable
to the current day," McCormack said.
- "She is a student of history and has a keen appreciation
for how we can apply the lessons of history, what we can learn
from those who have gone before us," he said. Other sources
of advice have been former U.S. negotiator Dennis Ross and ex-secretaries
of state James Baker, Henry Kissinger and Madeleine Albright.
Rice meets frequently for lunch with Albright, whose father taught
Rice at Denver University.
- Rice has made clear she will devote all her energy in the
Bush administration's final 14 months to get what others have
failed to attain in the past -- a viable, independent Palestinian
state living side by side with a secure Israel. Continued: http://www.reuters.com/article/email/idUSN2619674120071026?pageNumber=2&virtualBrandChannel=0

- BUSH THREATENS THIRD WORLD WAR BECAUSE OF HOLOCAUST ENLIGHTENMENT
- [Translated exclusively for Truth In History And Current
Events email magazine by FreyaOnline, our Special Correspondent.
From National Journal 11.07.2007]
The so-called Petersburg Dialogue, which took place in Wiesbaden
in the middle of October 2007 and is intended to represent a
closer cooperation between Germany and Russia, placed the team
of the FRG [Federal Republic of Germany] system, above all the
chancellor, into a quasi state of shock. It was a not unimportant
symbolism that President Vladimir Putin let Mrs. Merkel wait
for two and a half hours before he appeared for his visit. This
still served her well. Shortly before that, in Moscow, he even
refused to receive the USrael foreign minister Condoleeza Rice
at the Kremlin. Vladimir Putin came to Wiesbaden as a new, old-time
Russian ruler. Although he will no longer function as the president
in the Kremlin, but rather as whatever his new government title
will be, in the future he will still hold the reins of power
in his hands. Therefore, the Russians are quite simply calling
him "Führer", which nearly would have led to a
fainting attack for Mrs. Merkel. "The delegate from Samara
on the Volga closed the meeting saying that Putin should be leading
the election lists of the Duma-elections in December. According
to the functionary, he could 'lead the government' and become
the general national Führer for many years'." (Spiegel.de,

- THE LYNCHING DATE IS SET
- November 15, 2007 - By: Jan Markell - Olive Tree Ministries
.
So it is settled and the date
is November 27. The date of Israel's ceremonial execution, while
all the world cheers. The much-heralded Middle East summit at
Annapolis, which has stalled a dozen times is going to happen,
it would appear. So, name one concession Israel has made in recent
years that has been reciprocated by its sworn enemies. This is
not a trick question. There are none. That's why this month's
announced "Middle East Summit" in Annapolis, Md., should
be viewed as one more installment payment in the sellout of Israel
and of American interests in the Middle East. While the United
States continues to struggle to shore up democracy in Iraq, the
Bush administration -- like administrations before it -- proceeds
in undermining the likelihood that the region's first democracy
will endure. At every negotiating session, Israel is pressured
into making concessions for "peace" and receives more
war in response. Mostly this is because of the wishful thinking
in the West that has replaced sound policy. Why should the Palestinians
make concessions when they are drawing closer to their objective
of eradicating Israel by throwing stones and bombs and stonewalling
negotiations? Little wonder that one writer calls the event "hopeful
insanity." Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has no problems
with the agenda. In fact, he set much of the agenda. He proposes
that Israel put everything on the table including sovereignty
over the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism. "All
of the historical questions that overshadow the argument between
us and the Palestinians are on the agenda. We will not evade
any one of them," Olmert recently explained. Even parts
of Jerusalem are up for sale. Judea and Samaria will be shredded.
Does anyone remember all the previous efforts, just a few listed
here: Madrid, Oslo I and II, Wye, Tennet, Mitchell, and Saudi
"agreements?" As Joseph Farah says, "That's essentially
what the 'peace process' is all about: Doing the same thing over
and over again and expecting different results." http://www.cephas-library.com/israel_the_lynching_date_is_set.html

- AMERICAN FOLLY
THE JERUSALEM POST - Caroline Glick - November 23, 2007 - The
mood is dark in the IDF's General Staff ahead of next week's
"peace" conference in Annapolis. As one senior officer
directly involved in the negotiations with the Palestinians and
the Americans said, "As bad as it might look from the outside,
the truth is 10 times worse. This is a nightmare. The Americans
have never been so hostile." On Thursday a draft of the
joint statement that Israeli and Palestinian negotiators are
discussing ahead of the conference was leaked to the media. A
reading of the document bears out the IDF's concerns. The draft
document shows that the Palestinians and the Israelis differ
not only on every issue, but differ on the purpose of the document.
It also shows that the US firmly backs the Palestinians against
Israel.
- As the draft document makes clear, Israel is trying to avoid
committing itself to anything at Annapolis. For their part, the
Palestinians are trying to force Israel's hand by tying it to
diplomatic formulas that presuppose an Israeli withdrawal to
the 1949 armistice lines and an Israeli acceptance of the so-called
"right of return" or free immigration of foreign Arabs
to Israel. The Palestinians are also trying to take away Israel's
right to determine for itself whether to trust the Palestinians
and continue making diplomatic and security concessions or not
by making it the responsibility of outside parties to decide
the pace of the concessions and whether or not the Palestinians
should be trusted. As the leaked draft document shows, the Americans
have sided with the Palestinians against Israel. Specifically,
the Americans have taken for themselves the sole right to judge
whether or not the Palestinians and the Israelis are abiding
by their commitments and whether and at what pace the negotiations
will proceed. Continued:

- FIVE DAYS AND COUNTING 'TIL BUSH ARRIVES
Jerusalem Newswire By: Stan Goodenough - January 3, 2008 - Thousands
of American flags are being unfurled
to line the routes along which he will travel, streets which
will be made empty of all other traffic for the duration of his
three day visit. Small clusters of US security men can be seen
making their way to and from the so-called western Jerusalem
US consulate, their brash and noisy CC-plated vehicles rushing
around the Israeli capital - even though it is not recognized
as such by Washington. The Prime Ministers' Office has assembled
a special task force to prepare for his arrival, and there is
little doubt that he will be made to feel very welcome indeed.
But what US President George W. Bush will not get, when he makes
his first visit to Israel as the world's most powerful man next
week, is more than just a taste of how many millions of Israelis
feel about his reason for coming here.
- They disapprove. The purpose of his visit is to demonstrate
physically his often verbalized "personal commitment"
to creating an Arab state on ancient Jewish lands. And it is
in the interests of the Olmert government that Bush be made to
feel the Israeli people support him in this. Dissenting voices
will therefore not be allowed, or will be cordoned off out of
the president's way. A couple of things will be happening, but
unless he reads about them or keeps his eyes peeled, the president
will remain blissfully unaware of their opposition:
- On Monday before Bush arrives, a small square near Prime
Minister Ehud Olmert's official residence, which has been known
for years as Paris Square, and which is the site of frequent
political demonstrations, is to be renamed "Freedom for
Jonathan Pollard Square" in honor of the American Jew who
spied for Israel and paid for helping to save Jewish lives by
being incarcerated in an American prison for 22 years, so far.
According to the Jerusalem City Council, the square will keep
its new name until Pollard, who is also an Israeli citizen, is
set free and allowed to come home to Israel. Meanwhile Israel
National News reports that billboards all over Jerusalem will
be plastered with a new poster on the eve of the Bush visit to
Israel. Pictured is a gigantic Bible, towering over the walls
of the Old City. The caption says: "Bush, read your Bible.
God gave Israel to the Jews." He did, of course. But observers
have noted that Israeli governments live more in fear of the
White House than in the fear of the Lord.

- WHO ATTENDED THE MIDDLE EAST PEACE CONFERENCE
- Following is the text of a statement by the Quartet of Middle
East negotiators following their November 26 2007 meeting in
Washington, DC: The Quartet expressed strong support for the
November 27 2007 Annapolis Conference. It welcomed the commitment
of the Israeli and Palestinians leaders to launch bilateral negotiations
toward the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank
and Gaza and the realization of Israeli-Palestinian peace. This
reflects the results of months of work by the parties and by
the Quartet, including the Quartet's engagement with members
of the Arab League Follow-Up Committee to expand the circle of
support for peace. The Quartet welcomed the parties' continuing
efforts to fulfill their respective commitments under Phase One
of the Roadmap and urged the international community to provide
robust support for all the parties' efforts. Principals took
note of the broad international support for the Annapolis Conference,
and looked forward to the December Paris Donors' Conference to
muster international financial backing for efforts to build the
foundation for a viable and prosperous Palestinian state. The
Quartet agreed to remain closely involved, and to that end will
meet again in December, and looks forward to inviting members
of the Arab League Follow-Up Committee to attend. The Quartet
affirmed its commitment to seize this opportunity to mobilize
international support to achieve meaningful progress towards
a just and lasting negotiated settlement to this conflict, and
ultimately a comprehensive peace in the Middle East. Contiuned:

- ISRAEL RULES CLUSTER BOMB USE LEGAL
Israel is accused of dropping about four million cluster bombs
in Lebanon
ALJAZEERA.NET, December 24, 2007 - Israeli military prosecutors
have decided not to take any legal action over Israel's use of
cluster bombs during last year's war in Lebanon. The Israeli
army said on Monday that it was closing an investigation into
a practice that has drawn heavy criticism from the UN and international
human rights groups. The investigation determined that Israel's
use of the weapons, which open in flight and scatter dozens of
bomblets, was a "concrete military necessity" and did
not violate international humanitarian law. In a statement, the
army said its chief investigator, Major-General Gershon HaCohen,
determined: "It was clear that the majority of the cluster
munitions were fired at open and uninhabited areas, areas from
which Hezbollah forces operated and in which no civilians were
present.
It said cluster bombs were fired at residential areas only "as
an immediate defence response to rocket attacks by Hezbollah"
and that Israeli troops did everything possible to minimise civilian
casualties.
Whenever firing cluster bombs, Israeli forces were "respecting
the laws of armed conflict .... and preserving the ethical values"
of the Israeli military, the statement said.
"The use of this weaponry was legal once it was determined
that, in order to prevent rocket fire on to Israel, its use was
a concrete military necessity," the statement added. The
conclusions were passed on to the military's advocate general,
Brigadier-General Avihai Mendelblit, who accepted the recommendation
and decided not to press charges. The investigation was launched
following the war.Lebanon reaction
In Beirut, a Lebanese government official rejected the Israeli
military prosecutors' decision, saying Israel's use of cluster
bombs has been condemned by the whole world. "The Israeli
decision indicates that there is no difference between the judicial
authority and political authority in Israel. They all work to
commit and cover up crimes which are against humanity,"
the official told The Associated Press, speaking on condition
of anonymity in line with government regulations. The United
Nations and human rights groups have accused Israel of dropping
about four million cluster bombs during its 34-day war against
Hezbollah.
They say as many as one million bombs failed to explode and now
endanger civilians.
Ongoing explosions
More than 30 people have been killed by cluster bomb and land
mine explosions in Lebanon since the 2006 summer war. The conflict
erupted on July 12, 2006, when Hezbollah men attacked an Israeli
border patrol, killing three soldiers and capturing two. Amnesty
International has criticised Israel for bombing civilian areas
and using cluster bombs during the fighting. It has also criticised
Hezbollah for firing nearly 4,000 rockets at Israeli cities and
towns.

- BUSH IN ISRAEL - THE PRESIDENT'S ITINERARY
- JERUSALEM NEWSWIRE - By Stan Goodenough - January 08, 2008
- Monday and Tuesday saw preparations intensify for US President
George W. Bush's first official, three day visit to Israel.
- American and Israeli flags hung from lamp posts lining the
routes he will travel; IDF and police helicopters were seen coming
and going over Jerusalem; US embassy and consular vehicles filled
the parking spaces outside the King David Hotel; while lines
of taxis could be seen ferrying journalists to other hotels in
the city. According to The Jerusalem Post, the president's itinerary
has been firmed up as follows:
- Wednesday afternoon: Airforce One will land at Ben Gurion
International Airport near Tel Aviv where Bush will be welcomed
by President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, opposition
leader Benjamin Netanyahu, Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzhik and Israel's
chief rabbis. A helicopter will ferry Bush from the airport to
Jerusalem, the Israeli capital, and he will head for his room
- the $2,600-a-night Royal Suite in the King David.
- After being welcomed there by Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupoliansky,
Bush will go to Bet Hanassi - the President's Residence - for
an official reception, then head to the Prime Minister's official
residence for a dinner meeting with Olmert. Thursday: Bush will
start the day by paying a visit to the sons of comatose former
prime minister Ariel Sharon, then will travel to Ramallah, the
"Palestinian" "capital" north of Jerusalem
where he will meet with PLO chief terrorist and Palestinian Authority
chairman Mahmoud Abbas, PA "Prime Minister" Salaam
Fayad and other PA officials. The American leader will then drive
south back through Jerusalem to Bethlehem - the city where Israel's
prophets said the Messiah would be born, the place where Jesus
was born, and the city Israel surrendered to PA control in 1995.
- Returning to Jerusalem, Bush will have another dinner meeting
with Olmert and be joined by some senior government officials
including Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Defense Minister Ehud
Barak.
- Friday: Bush will meet with Quarter Middle East Envoy Tony
Blair after which he will visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial
Museum. Then the self-professed Christian president will fly
north by helicopter to the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum and the
Mount of Beatitudes - famous sites of Jesus' ministry.
- Friday afternoon the president will leave Israel for the
Persian Gulf. http://www.jnewswire.com/article/2298

- PROTESTS TO BUSH VISIT ARE UNDERWAY
ISRAELNN.COM - January 6, 2008
by Baruch Gordon - This weeks upcoming visit of U.S. President
George Bush to Israel has awakened activists on Israels
political right, many of whom have kept a low profile since the
2005 evacuation from Gush Katif and Northern Samaria settlements.
- On Monday afternoon at 2:30, Jerusalem's Paris Square, situated
near the official residence of the Prime Minister, was renamed
Jonathan Pollard Square by the Municipality of Jerusalem. Activists
for Pollard placed large signs on Israeli buses and around the
city, calling for President Bush to release his Prisoner
of War."
- On Tuesday afternoon at 2:00, the One Jerusalem organization
will create a human chain surrounding the Old City, to proclaim
that Ehud Olmert does not have a national mandate from the people
to divide the Holy City. Later in the day, starting at 6:00 PM,
a coalition of activist groups will gather in the Jerusalem neighborhood
of Har Homa to declare that building in the settlements will
continue in defiance of the Olmert/Bush freeze on further expansion.
From there, groups will set out to establish new hilltop communities
throughout Judea and Samaria.
- The coalition has collected donations from many countries
and from 35 states in the USA. They have prepared the following
poster for their ceremony tomorrow:
- The poster which reads, Not Even Bush Can Save You,
refers to the criminal investigations pending against Olmert,
and the claim that President Bush is coming to Israel to give
a boost to Olmerts dismal public image and political instability.
- Nevertheless, the Almagor Terror Victims Association has
announced a series of protest vigils outside the main locations
where President Bush will hold meetings. They are planning to
erect a gigantic poster, pictured below which shows President
Bush as the founding father of HAMAStine." Continued:

BUSH'S MIDEAST MUDDLE
The Wall Street Journal - By: Michael Oren - January 10, 2008
- George W. Bush's visit to Israel -- the first of his presidency
-- has many Israelis confused. Is he coming to advance the peace
process begun six weeks ago at the Annapolis Summit, that 83%
of Israelis see as fruitless? Or is he aiming to fortify Israel
against a mounting Iranian nuclear threat that American intelligence
services claim no longer exists? The visit spotlights the blurring
of the administration's Middle East policies, leaving many of
its friends -- Israel included -- confused.
- Israel's bafflement is deepened by the fact that Mr. Bush's
agenda departs from a more than 30-year tradition. Unlike Richard
Nixon, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, all of whom visited Israel,
Mr. Bush will not address the government on the grounds that
that would obligate him to speak before the Hamas-dominated Palestinian
Parliament.
- Mr. Bush also abandoned the protocol of receiving the head
of the Israeli opposition, in this case Benjamin Netanyahu, who
will likely be Israel's next prime minister. And while Mr. Bush's
predecessors came to Israel following diplomatic achievements
-- Nixon after the separation of forces in the Yom Kippur War,
Mr. Carter after the Camp David Accords, and Mr. Clinton after
the Wye River Memorandum -- Mr. Bush has none to his credit.

- BUSH ENDS VISIT TO ISRAEL, WALKS IN JESUS' FOOTSTEPS
- By Holly Rosenkrantz and Janine Zacharia - January. 11, 2008
(Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush called it ``amazing''
to walk in the footsteps of Jesus as he wrapped up a three-day
visit to Israel and the Palestinian areas during which he outlined
a framework for peace talks between the two sides. Bush, a devout
Christian, flew by helicopter from Jerusalem to visit Christian
holy sites in Israel's Galilee region, stopping first in Capernaum,
which according to the Gospels is where Jesus first began to
preach and performed miracles. Standing among ruins of an ancient
synagogue on the bank of the Sea of Galilee, Bush smiled as a
Franciscan father in a long, brown robe read him a Bible passage
about casting out the unclean spirit. After his tour of Capernaum,
Bush was given a crystal inscribed with his name and the Biblical
passage: ``Blessed are those who are peacemakers for they will
be called children of God.'' He then traveled to the Mount of
Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered his Sermon on the Mount. Grasping
the hands of two nuns, Bush said it was an ``amazing experience''
to walk in Jesus' footsteps. ``This isn't an everyday occurrence,''
he added with a laugh. Bush's visit to the Galilee came a day
after the president -- who in a 2000 presidential debate with
Democrat Al Gore famously named Jesus as his favorite philosopher
-- visited the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, site of Jesus'
birth. Continued:

- WHY BUSH DID NOT SAY "A JEWISH STATE"
- HAARETZ - January 17, 2008 - My good friend Aluf Benn has
abandoned the newspaper for a couple of months and is now a fellow
at the Israeli
Institute For National Security Studies. His first paper
was just published and is headlined: No "Jewish State,"
No Settlement Blocs: "The King David Statement" and
Bush's Developing Position. The declaration basically adheres
to the lines demarcated by Bush in his "vision speech"
of June 2002, but a closer look at the details reveals some development
and changes in his positions in comparison with previous "vision"
documents: the Aqaba Conference speech of June 2003, the letter
to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of April 2004, and the Annapolis
Conference speech on November 2007. A review of these changes
suggests that they reflect an American effort to present a more
balanced position by opening up some distance from previous positions
that were viewed by some as biased in favor of Israel, particularly
by eliminating the expression "Jewish state," the implied
reference to settlement blocs and the reservations about settling
Palestinian refugees in Israel (all of which appeared in the
letter to Sharon), and also by defining the point of departure
for negotiations as "the end of the occupation that began
in 1967" rather than UN Security Council Resolutions 242
and 338. Nevertheless, Bush left considerable room for maneuver
that will allow give-and-take between the two sides in discussions
on the three core issues - border, refugees and Jerusalem.
- Brzezinski is against the right of return. Marty Peretz read
an article by Zbigniew Brzezinski on Israel and the Palestinians
and thought it was "sensible enough". His conclusion:"Does
he want to be National Security Adviser again? He can't. He reminds
everyone of Jimmy Carter. Also way too old. But Zbig does not
want to be pariah, as he has been during the last decade. One
matter on which he is abundantly clear is that there is not to
be "a right of return" of the so-called refugees to
the Jewish state".Here are some three paragraphs from the
Brzezinski article: "For the Israelis, the recently constructed
wall on Palestinian lands provides the illusion of security,
reinforced by the awareness that Israel is infinitely more powerful
than the Palestinians. Why then should Israel begin by making
concessions to the weaker?
- The Palestinian myth is born out of weakness. It compels
them to take refuge in history, in the illusion that time is
on their side, that the Israelis - like the crusaders earlier
- will eventually have to give in, especially when Muslim hostility
drives America out of the Middle East. Why then should the Palestinians
begin by making concessions to the currently stronger Israel?
With neither side capable of initiating a genuine give-and-take
bargaining process, it is up to the US to do so. Mr Bush is the
only one who can make this happen if he is serious about his
prediction. The way to do it is to spell out the grand framework
for a fair and enduring peace when he is in the Middle East,
thereby breaking the logjam, and then leaving it to the parties
to resolve the details".
- Jews, blacks and Obama - Read this Andrew Sullivan post,
quoting a reader: "Sadly even my mother, who lives in Florida,
says about Obama, "I just don't trust him." She can't
give any reasons, though she will usually mutter something about
Israel".

- OBAMA THE HAWK
- As if Obama did not have enough troubles with the pro Israel
camp, the left is not starting to hammer him for supporting Israel
too much. Look at this article from Tikkun:
[Barak Obama's Foreign Policy]
- Earlier in his career, Obama took a relatively balanced perspective
on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, aligning himself with positions
embraced by the Israeli peace camp and its American supporters.
For example, during his unsuccessful campaign for Congress in
2000, Obama criticized the Clinton administration for its unconditional
support for the occupation and other Israeli policies and called
for an even-handed approach to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
He referred to the "cycle of violence" between Israelis
and Palestinians, while most Democrats were referring to "Palestinian
violence and the Israeli response." He also made statements
supporting a peace settlement along the lines of the Geneva Initiative
and similar efforts by Israeli and Palestinian moderates.
- During the past two years, however, Obama has largely taken
positions in support of the hard-line Israeli government, making
statements virtually indistinguishable from that of the Bush
administration. Indeed, his primary criticism of Bush's policy
toward the conflict has been that the administration has not
been engaged enough in the peace process, not that it has backed
the right-wing Israeligovernment on virtually every outstanding
issue. Rejecting calls by Israeli moderates for the United States
to use its considerable leverage to push the Israeli government
to end its illegal and destabilizing colonization of the West
Bank and agree to withdraw from the occupied territories in return
for security guarantees, Obama has insisted "we should never
seek to dictate what is best for the Israelis and their security
interests" and that no Israeli prime minister should ever
feel "dragged" to the negotiating table.

- OBAMA: ISRAEL WAS FORCED TO CLOSE GAZA
- 1.23.2008 - The letter from the Senator to the Ambassador
speaks for itself: - Dear Ambassador Khalilzad, I understand
that today the UN Security Council met regarding the situation
in Gaza, and that a resolution or statement could be forthcoming
from the Council in short order. I urge you to ensure that the
Security Council issue no statement and pass no resolution on
this matter that does not fully condenm the rocket assault Hamas
has been conducting on civilians in southern Israel... All of
us are concerned about the impact of closed border crossings
on Palestinian families. However, we have to understand why Israel
is forced to do this... Israel has the right to respond while
seeking to minimize any impact on civilians.
- The Security Council should clearly and unequivocally condemn
the rocket attacks... If it cannot bring itself to make these
common sense points, I urge you to ensure that it does not speak
at all.
- Sincerely, Barack Obama - United States Senator http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/rosnerBlog.jhtml?itemNo=865078

- JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS TO OBAMA'S DEFENSE
- 1.16.2008 - This is the list of signatories:
- William Daroff, Vice President, United Jewish Communities
- Nathan J. Diament, Director, Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations
of America
- Abraham Foxman, National Director, Anti-Defamation League
- Richard S. Gordon, President, American Jewish Congress
- David Harris, Executive Director, American Jewish Committee
- Rabbi Marvin Hier, Dean, Simon Wiesenthal Center
- Rabbi David Saperstein, Director, Religious Action Center
of Reform Judaism
- Phyllis Snyder, President, National Council of Jewish Women
- Hadar Susskind, Washington Director, Jewish Council for Public
Affairs
- And this is the letter:
- "As leaders of the Jewish community, none of whose organizations
will endorse or oppose any candidate for President, we feel compelled
to speak out against certain rhetoric and tactics in the current
campaign that we find particularly abhorrent. Of particular concern,
over the past several weeks, many in our community have received
hateful emails that use falsehood and innuendo to mischaracterize
Senator Barack Obama's religious beliefs and who he is as a person.
These tactics attempt to drive a wedge between our community
and a presidential candidate based on despicable and false attacks
and innuendo based on religion. We reject these efforts to manipulate
members of our community into supporting or opposing candidates.
- Attempts of this sort to mislead and inflame voters should
not be part of our political discourse and should be rebuffed
by all who believe in our democracy. Jewish voters, like all
voters, should support whichever candidate they believe would
make the best president. We urge everyone to make that decision
based on the factual records of these candidates, and nothing
less". By the way, Obama was asked about these emails in
the debate in Neveda Tuesday evening. His response: "I am
a Christian. I have been sworn in on a bible". He also said
that he "pledge allegiance" and that the "American
people are" smart enough as to know what's fact and what's
falsehood.
- And on a similar subject: The ADL welcomed Barack Obama's
statement strongly condemning the anti-Semitism of Nation of
Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan. The Senator's statement
came in response to reports that his minister, Rev. Jeremiah
A. Wright Jr., leader of the Trinity United Church of Christ
in Chicago, had honored Farrakhan as one who "truly epitomized
greatness."
- An article demanding such clarification was published by
Richard Cohen of the WP Tuesday.

FROM BARRY CHAMISH'S RESEARCH COMES THE FOLLOWING EXCERPT:
- *.....Pastor Jeremiah Wright, Jr. is a supporter of Louis
Farrakhan (who called Judaism a "gutter religion" and
depicted Jews as "bloodsuckers") *and *traveled with
him to visit Col. Muammar al-Gaddafi*, archenemy of Israel's
and a terror supporter. Tucker Carlson of MSNBC has *called Pastor
Wright a total hater* and wondered why the ties that bind Obama
to Wright have not been given greater scrutiny. Mickey Kaus of
Slate has also wondered when the ties between Obama and Wright
will receive more criticism, given Wright's seeming bigotry,
which is in contrast to the soothing melody of unity that Obama
has trumpeted on the campaign trail. Some in the media have taken
notice. As Obama took steps toward the United States Senate he
found a very powerful sugar daddy who would help fund his rise:
George Soros (CFR).
The billionaire hedge fund titan began supporting Obama very
early -- as befits a legendary speculative investor always looking
for opportunities. Obama coveted support from George Soros (CFR)
and Soros
(CFR) responded -- along with many family members and probably
the Soros (CFR) ring of wealthy donors. Soros even found a loophole
that allowed him and assorted family members to exceed regular
limits on campaign contributions. *Soros (CFR) is also a fierce
foe of Israel, for years funding groups that have worked against
Israel. * Continued: http://www.cephas-library.com/israel_uncle_toms_jewboys.html

- WORD FROM YERUSHALAIM ABOUT FALSE TEACHERS
- 'By Simantov Allalouf - Israel - What will it look like when
the great falling away begins? What does it look like when apostasy
enters into church teaching? Is it possible that in the churches
attempt to be politically correct that they will forsake sound
doctrine to please men? Is it possible that great well-known
preachers and televangelists could begin to teach false doctrines
in our time now in 2007? Here is what scripture says will happen
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away [their]
ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2Ti
4:3-4 .
There are some very serious biblical errors being propagated
in the church around the world today concerning Israel. We have
people like John Haggee teaching that Yeshua never presented
himself as Messiah to the Jewish people. Which is such a great
lie according to the scriptures. But in the ignorance of scripture
there are millions of Christians being deceived by this lie (look
at John Haggee's new book "In Defense of Israel").
And the consequence and fallout is that they to will be dissuaded
from sharing the gospel with the Jewish people. There are large
"Christian" organizations inside and outside of Israel
that have joined themselves to a governmental committee that
takes this following position without any rebuttal to the committee
chairman; "The caucus condemns and refuses alliances with
any groups that pursue the conversion of Jews to Christianity."
link to website >>> http://www.knesset.gov.il/lobby/eng/LobbyPage_eng.asp?lobby=41.
The list of these organizations include Bridges For Peace, Christian
Friends of Israel, International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem...
and many more. Some of the largest ministries in America have
joined themselves to this Israeli government Caucus, and in so
doing have defied some of the most basic scriptural foundations
of the faith. "But ye shall receive power, after that the
Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me
(Yeshua) both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria,
and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Act 1:8 How can
we ever as born again Christians agree to this kind of a position?

- IN DEFENSE OR DENIAL?
In our last update, we documented the heretical assertion of
Pastor John Hagee, who maintains that "Jesus rejected to
the last detail the role of Messiah in word or deed." (Hagee,
In Defense of Israel, pp. 144-145) To hear again Pastor Hagee
in his own words, click on this link:
Hagee's teaching in a nutshell is that the Jews did not reject
Jesus as the Messiah, but rather, Jesus rejected the role of
being the Messiah to the Jewish people. Some have argued that
because Hagee teaches that there is no salvation apart from Jesus
Christ, it's not so bad that he makes these claims. But in reality,
what he is doing is helping to fuel the fires of unbelief for
many Jews. Jewish rabbis teach that Jesus did not fulfill the
prophecies concerning the Messiah, and Hagee supports their view.
"Because with lies ye have
strengthened the hands
of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way,
by promising him life." (Ezekiel 13:22)
Hagee teaches that Jews who put faith in the Old Testament will
be saved - even if they fail to acknowledge Jesus. In fact, Jesus
taught that if Israel had put faith in the Old Testament, they
would surely have believed the New. The problem was that the
Jews did not believe the truth that God had already given them.
Jesus made it clear that if they had obeyed the teachings of
Moses, they would have accepted Him:
"Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there
is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom
ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would also have believed
me; for he wrote of me. But if ye
believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?"
(John 5:45-47)
I believe this is partly why Jesus told the story of Lazarus
and the rich man (Luke 16:19-31). The rich man who went to hell
(v.23) was a son of Abraham. We know this because he called out,
"Father Abraham" (v.24) and Abraham answered him, "Son"
(v.25). When the rich man asks that Lazarus be sent to warn his
five brothers "lest they also come into this place of torment,"
Abraham tells him:
"They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And
he said, Nay, father Abraham; but if one went unto them from
the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear
not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though
one rose from the dead." (Luke 16:29-31) Continued:
