Files: Preterism
Preterism is not Scriptural: "And I saw an
angel come down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless
pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon,
that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him
a thousand years, " [the thousand years would have begun
with the year 70 A.D. depending on pre or post tribulation and
we would have had the final judgment in the year 1070 and be
living eternally at this point which is not the case. People
are still dying ] (Revelation 20:1,2) "And
cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a
seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till
the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must
be loosed a little season.." (Revelation
20:3) Not only would death be out of existence at this
point but during the thousnd years post 70 A.D., Satan would
have been bound, people would have lived extra long happy peaceful
lives. |
