To address the present revivals the following Scriptures may shed light on today's situation in the ecumenical church. The Apostle Peter was assigned to Israelis and Paul to the Gentiles. Peter's sermon addressed Israelis which was made very clear: "Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:.. And it shall come to pass in the last days, said God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:.. And I will show wonders in heaen above, signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: ..The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Ye men of Israel, hear these words:.." (Acts 2:14,17,19-21)

The present Revivalist preachers use these Scriptures for to back up their claims, when there is no evidence that they pertain to today's evangelical church. The Bible teaches that there will be a falling away before the Tribulation in 2 Thess. 2:1-3. Addressing the Rapture, the Apostle Paul states: "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition."

Falling away: represented by the # 646 in Greek is apostasia: refers to those who would reject Christ. Looking at the huge gatherings and mega churches one would think that there is no falling away. What has happened, many have accepted a substitute Jesus. Over a billion Catholics have substituted the Virgin Mary for Jesus. Mormons have substituted Jesus Christ for Satan's spirit brother Jesus and by unifying with all religions, which is condemned by the Gospel they are rejecting the true Christ Jesus. For us to be true born again believers in Christ we have to do and believe what the Bible teaches.

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17) "But though we, or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." (Gal.1:9)

Applying what we have just learned from the Scriptures what John Paul Jackson is teaching has to be heresy. Benny Hinn has been pushing John Paul Jackson an "expert" on dreams and visions and selling his books at ridiculous prices. Jackson is one of the Kansas City "prophets". He makes the following claims:

Recently, I had a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit at a level I have never before experienced. As I shared it with my staff, they sat stunned. I want to share it with you, because of your hunger for God. I believe the message God shared with me has the potential to change how you perceive the Lord and His miraculous and awesome ways.

Ed Note: He could not have had an encounter with the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit is in his heart on the throne if he is born again. End of note.

Time is drawing near when God will release an unprecedented wave of His Holy Spirit. This new wave of God's presence will grow to such intensity, the air will literally feel thick -- like the density of honey. In this extreme and unusual atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, many will find it difficult to breathe or manage bodily movement. For some, it may feel as if they are trying to walk against a rising river.

Ed Note: To similate God, the Holy Spirit, with a substance like thick honey is blasphemy. We are told that He is a person. The Holy Spirit is not outside of 'born again believers' bodies. The minute they accept Christ Jesus, they receive the Holy Spirit into their hearts. Notice that these heretics describe exactly what a person is to experience and being good "Christians" who are obedient, they will experience what they have been told, same as a hypnotic suggestion. End of note.

Just prior to this new wave of the Spirit, the Lord will change our understanding of all the gifts, especially those of the apostle and prophet. God has divinely orchestrated these gifts to work together to advance His Kingdom. Their greatest impact will be seen when all the gifts are synergized and individuals begin to work together unselfishly. God will use the unique blending of gifts to create the right atmosphere for His desired outpouring.

Ed-note: The gifts of the Holy Spirit are clearly described in the Bible and the Bible does not change. The gifts are never synergized nor blended and are not for the purpose of people working together.

Presently, many are functioning in these gifts independently, fearing that they may appear "less anointed" if another leads. God will soon demand the walls separating the gifts be demolished. He will use humility to bring this about. Those who refuse to embrace humility will face the furnace of humiliation . If they continue to resist, God will remove their influence in the Church.

Ed note: There are differences of administrations (Cor. 12:1-10) ,.. there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all. If God worketh the gifts how can an individual have anything to do with it and be punished for it? There is no such thing as a furnace of humiliation. What Mr. Jackson is stating in his paragraph is that if people don't accept and do his teachings they will be removed from the congregation. That would be a blessing to the inidividual. End of note.

Simultaneously, God will release a fresh wind of worship to musicians and vocalists. The coming sounds will herald a greatly increased measure of God's presence. The resulting synchronization of sound and Spirit will eventually lead to the incorporation of lights, music, vocals, rhythms, and other sounds at spiritual levels that are mostly nonexistent A sharpened spiritual awareness will permeate worship teams, allowing seamless instrumental and vocal expressions to be intertwined. The Holy Spirit will touch percussionists, who will often sense the coming of His Presence. Percussion will take a more prominent role in church gatherings. As percussionists develop a heightened spiritual awareness, they will sense the Holy Spirit's flow and know when to increase, decrease, or soften the decibel level. Worship will arise that will usher in an even greater flow of the Spirit.

Ed Note: What is the "wind of worship"? Synchronization of sound and Spirit? What is Mr. Jackson doing with God? The Holy Spirit is God. His description of worship service bears no resemblance to Biblical description of singing psalms and hymns. (Eph. 5:19) End of note.

This profoundly increased presence of the Spirit will release four things:

* First, the Holy Spirit will take a new dimension of control of the Church, unlike anything in recent history. It will resemble the days of Solomon, when the priests were unable to continue ministering because of the cloud that filled the temple (1 Kings 8:11). When this happens, the Holy Spirit will be in control. While the spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet, the Spirit of God is subject to no one. Although not everyone will see this thickness of God's presence, many will "feel" it. Some will describe it as a cloud. Others will feel the thickness of God's spirit resting on a person being touched. Sometimes only one person will be touched by this thick presence of God. At other times, many will be touched. One sign that the Holy Spirit is touching someone will be the evidence of physical signs in and on those who simply come close to a person being touched by the Holy Spirit. This will keep mimicry to a minimum.

Ed note: Only in the Old Testament can we find manifestations that Jackson describes. We are today living in the New Testament where the Holy Spirit is with us inside not outside of us. Many will "feel" God's thickness? Where is that in the New Testament? If we had any sensations our faith could not be called faith anymore. Just believing in the Word of God is what is expected of us without signs and wonders. Jesus said that there would be no signs until He comes back. Just believing is faith. End of note.

* Second, as people draw near a person being touched by the Holy Spirit, many healings, miracles, and deliverances will happen. No one will need to pray for them. They will be impacted by the thick presence of the Holy Spirit resting on others. These healings, miracles, and deliverances will have an added dimension of transcending distances. When people, who in the midst of this tangible presence of the Holy Spirit, pray for their friends or relatives located in other cities, states, or countries, miracles will happen instantaneously, much like the centurion's servant who was healed some distance away (Matthew 8:13).

* Third, this wave of the Holy Spirit will result in many people being saved. When a person who is experiencing this thick presence of the Holy Spirit begins to pray for unsaved children or spouses, the conviction of sin, Righteousness, and judgment will be immediately activated. Many of the unsaved, who have been prepared in advance by the Holy Spirit, will run into church services, eager to give their hearts to the Lord.

Ed note: This sounds like one cannot receive forgiveness of sins without experiencing the thick presence of God because due that thickness conviction of sin, Righteousness and judgment are activated. Where is the Scripture to back this up. The Bible says that the "Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:14-17) There is no judgment at the time that Jackson describes. End of note.

* Fourth, as a result of these amazing and wondrous encounters, intercessory prayer will be greatly multiplied. Attendance in prayer rooms will double or triple in size and 24/7 prayer will flourish, as directives from the Lord are implemented. On many occasions, prayer will last for hours uninterrupted, yet it will only seem like minutes.
