An Introduction: The "Peter Principle" and The Curse!
Pope John Paul II and The Simeon-Levi Confederacy

 by Andrew Prudent Moore

While researching an unrelated subject in Torah a small interfaith study group happened upon material that provides us with a unique link from the ancient past [book of Genesis] following into our current history.

Surprisingly the Genesis material posits Roman Catholicism and the role of Pope John Paul II to be a mimicry of the Levitical priesthood. The work supplies us with a secret key for unlocking ambiguous passages that have been obscure for both the avid and casual bible reader. It equips the discerner with a weapon of the spirit, - the word of God; proving the pen is mightier than the sword.

In this work we discovered new truths about the ordeal of Dinah the virgin princess of Israel; and also about Joseph the favored son of Jacob who was stripped of his Technicolor dream coat by his jealous brothers and sold into slavery in Egypt (after which, he eventually became ruler over the king of the world and lord of the land).

We find the link as to why it was Simeon that was singled out above the king of the world and lord of the land). We find the link as to why it was Simeon that was singled out above the others to be held-bound in ward, the hostage prisoner of Joseph. In this writing we also discover why it was Judah who pledged his life in surety for the life of Benjamin, Jacob's youngest son; why it is Judah that must present Benjamin to his true brother Joseph in order to set Simeon free. And we find why it was Judah in later time that acquired the sur-name Iscariot. "But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled that thus it must be?" (Matthew 26:54)

It would be difficult if not impossible to interpret this material without first having access to New Testament passages, especially in the book of Matthew. This link provides a greater understanding of alliances and/or differences in Judaism and Christian thought. It may even clarify material for the Muslim faith as there are many Old and New Testament thoughts with the writings of the Holy Book - The Koran.

According to tradition and reference sources such as encyclopedias and dictionaries, the Pope (Latin, papa, from the Greek Pappas, meaning "father," an ecclesiastical title expressing affection and respect and since the TH century, recognized in the West as belonging exclusively to the bishop of Rome, head of the Roman Catholic Church), the head of the Roman Catholic church also holds these titles: vicar of Christ, successor of Saint Peter; supreme pontiff of he universal church; patriarch of the West, primate of Italy, archbishop and metropolitan of the Roman province; sovereign of the State of Vatican City, and servant of the servants of God. Roman Catholics believe that the pope is the successor of Saint Peter, to whom Christ entrusted the leadership of the church as recorded in the book of Matthew 16:18-19: "You are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church... " Excerpted from Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia and similarly in The Encyclopedia Brittanica.

The presentation of material following herein is imparted for information purposes only. It is not intended to be an offense or accusation for or against individuals either singly or collectively.

The authority for which the Roman Catholic church relies to establish its existence and that of the Pope's office is found ONLY in the book of Matthew. There are however passages in the book of John, chapter 21, which allude to a commission as well. According to church tradition each Pope is the successor of St. Peter. The church interprets Peter's name which means rock as its authority to successorship who it claims is the rock and founder or foundation-rock of the (Christ's) church. - Herein may lay the first difficulty of translation and interpretation.

Peter's name in the Greek text is the word petros (rock), and the word translated rock upon which the church is to be built is the Greek word petra which differs substantially in meaning. Petra denotes a rock or cliff [in situ] firm and immovable, while petros denotes a fragment of it which can be thrown about by hand or that can be kicked about with the foot. The difficult is solved if we understand that the person Peter, or Peter the man, is not the foundation on which the church is built. Because Peter (pebble) can be thrown around and tossed to and fro, but the Rock (petra) is immovable.

The 'catalysis' or 'substance' through which Peter - who is the vehicle of the substance - 'heard' and then confessed (professed) his revelation is This Rock (Foundation) upon which the church is built.

Furthermore, the next does not state that Peter is the speaker. It is also notable that it was Jesus himself Who supplied Peter with the "sur-name, which Jesus uses but twice (once here, - "once in Luke) in addressing him; but in all other cases by his fore-name Simon is used; - alerting us that name changing or change is an exchanging of nature. Abram became Abraham, Sarai became Sarah, Jacob became Israel and Hosea became Joshua, Saul (in the New Testament) became Paul, and so on.

Here is the passage where Peter blunts out his confession;- "And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ the son of the living God." - It is here Jesus responds with these words, - "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but My Father which is in heaven. And I also say unto you, That - "You are Peter and upon this rock I will build My church... "" Notice, Jesus addresses Peter by the name Simon Bar-jona. The word Bar means 'Son' (Son=communion, relationship, union, belong [to], family builder). Jona [from the Hebrew Jonah] means 'dove' - the Dove is the symbol of the holy Spirit (Foundation). Simon's name means 'hearing with understanding' (who hears and obeys) - thus, 'hearing and obeying in communion with the holy Spirit' - "Upon This Rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell will not prevail against it."

We are allowed to gain insight of the words of Jesus pronouncing, "You are Peter and on this Rock I will build My church..." - Peter (piece of rock) is being spoken to in his self-nature, back to earth nature - "man is prone to double minded-ness in all his ways. This is not to speak lightly of the name Peter because rocks and stones are typically a testimony and witness in scriptural language, - and for building material as well; even the proper names of 'Jehovah' and our 'God' are often likened to a stone, a rock and a mountain.

It has been said somewhere that scientists believe sound can reverberate within a rock or mountain for ages and that given the technology it would even be possible to hear sounds of the dinosaurs. The church is silent on the aspect that Peter's name may be interpreted as witness or testimony. Surely not by chance is it that Jesus supplies Simon with the sur-name Peter in this sense - of testimony. - The unveiling here is certainly a testimony.

Paul in his epistles consistently refers to Peter by his sur-name or 'Cephas' - which also means rock in the Syriac [Text]. Paul fervently attacks Peter's contentious and double-minded nature. Whereby, during a heated

onfrontation described in the book of Acts, the contention was such that the apostle James [Jacob) took charge of the meeting to stand in the gap and resolve the matter. The issue regarded the Gentile and Jewish converts to the church and the rite of Circumcision. Later in Paul's letter to the Galatians we find referral to this incident, whereby Paul states, "But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they once were, it makes no matter to me: God accepts no man's person:) but they who seemed to be conferring somewhat added nothing to me: But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, even as Peter with that of the circumcision; (For He That wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) ... they (James, Cephas and John) gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the Circumcision." From this we may discern there are two separate and distinct ministries in the earth.

Supporting these implied interpretations, we find in the paragraph following Peter's supposed commission, - in verse 21, Jesus turning, and saying to Peter, "Get thee behind me, Satan: thou are an offense unto me: for you savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." Satan!!??

Someone may say Funk and Wagnalls is not a legitimate source for Roman Catholic dogma. In an excerpted quote from the encyclical letter by Pope Leo XII in the preface of the New American Catholic Edition Of The Holy Bible, 1961, page XVII, titled, "The Authority Of Holy Scripture; Modern Criticism; Physical Science;" one sentence provides us with a point of view: "But since the divine and infallible magistratium of the Church rests also on the authority of Holy Scripture the first thing to be done is to vindicate the trustworthiness of the sacred records at least as human documents, from which can be clearly proved, as from primitive and authentic testimony, the Divinity, the Divinity of the mission of Christ our Lord, the institution of the hierarchical Church and the primacy of Peter and his successors." It is interesting that the Pope in his address continually refers to the Church in the feminine gender using pronouns her and herself. The Church ".. is herself a great and perpetual motive of credibility, and an unassailable testimony to her own Divine mission"..

If indeed, we are to believe, "the divine and infallable magisterium of the Church rests also on the authority of Holy Scripture... .. and the primacy of Peter and his successors," then we must believe also, the successor to Peter sits in Peter's seat today - namely, Pope John Paul II, head of the Roman Catholic Church. We have already examined some of the Scripture from which the Church claims this authority and have found it (the Roman Catholic

Interpretation) lacking. And, if this is true, either at one end of the spectrum or the other, may Pope John Paul II not be a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing, or the antichrist of the book of Revelation; and, - "one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed" (Rev. 13:3. was not the Pope, John Paul II wounded and healed?). Is he "That man of sin.. The son of perdition, who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he as God seated in the temple of God shewing himself that he is God." - Just prior to these words, Paul exclaims, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed...

Remember I told you these things? And now you know what withholds it that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity does already work: for he that holds it fast will hold it until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.." (II Thess. 2). Is he "The abomintion of desolation standing in the holy place..." - spoken by the prophet Daniel - (Daniel 11:31-32; 12:11-13 and Matth. 24:13-15 and Mark 13:14;). Does Pope John Paul II fit the description of these and other last-days prophecies? - if not does the Roman office fit? Is this the "tarrying till I come" that Jesus referred to in John, chapter 21 - does this mean the tribulation beginning?
In a comment on Daniel's Prophecy Of The 70 Weeks, copyright 1940 (before Israel's Statehood), the author writes, "The prince that shall come" .. is some great prince who will out of the Roman Empire.

Furthermore, we need not speculate about the identity of this coming prince. He is the well-known "little horn" of the seveth chapter of Daniel, with "the eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things," the king "more stout than his fellows," who rises swiftly among the "ten kings of the Revived Roman Empire of the end-time, and for a brief season shall wield almost unlimited power over the nations of he world.[EU] His well known identity is undoubtedly one reason why in chapter nine he is referred to simply as "the prince that shall come." .. This same prince is.. the "king of fierce ([strong] countenance" of chapter eight, the Wilful King of chapter eleven, the "man of sin" of 2 Thessalonians 2:3, and the "beast out of the sea" of Revelation 13:1. A dark and sinister figure he is, whose aminous shadow falls constantly upon the pages of divine prophecy, until he comes to his fearful doom (Rev. 20:20).**
"Indeed, so closely is Romanism allied to Paganism, of which it is the outcome, that those who do not see the difference between Paganized Christianity and Bible Christianity, draw a false conclusion that Romanism is merely a corruption of Christianity, whereas it is little more than Christian Paganism." E.W. Bullinger 1837-1913.**

Matthew's View - Take the peculiarity that in St. Matthew only the Lord's kingdom is always entitled the "kingdom of heaven." Has nothing been lost or neglected to observe that the Gospel, which reveals the kingdom, reveals it by a special name, remarkably characteristic of the position of all its true subjects? How many a mistake would have been prevented had it been seen that the true kingdom was not of earth, nor of times and places, but indeed "of heaven"?

Where could the claims of that system rest which makes Rome and a man there its center, if it were understood that as Rome is not heaven, so Roman Catholic has nothing akin to the "kingdom of heaven" here spoken of? Had it simply been said, "kingdom of God," the answer might of course be made, that as Israel, an earthly people with an earthly center, were once the kingdom of God, so an earthly with an earthly center still might be that kingdom. But the Gospel which reveals the kingdom speically marks it as the "kingdom of heaven," in which neither Rome, not time, nor earth, have any place.

But the Church has erred as the Jew looking for a repetition of the Old-thing rather than for that New-creation of righteousness and Joy and peace, which is indeed the true kingdom. A.Jukes 1853**

It is remarkable of the Church of Rome claiming its source of authority and Peter's primacy from the book of Matthew. We mentioned above it was Jesus who gave Peter his sur-name which, Jesus addresses but twice. Once in the book of Matthew which we already viewed and on one ohter occasion where Jesus foretells Peter's three time denial of Himself; Luke 22:31-33; "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." And he said unto Him, 'Lord, I am ready to go with Thee, both into prison, and to death.' And He said, I tell thee Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shall thrice deny that thou knowest Me.'" Prior to this announcement with the twelve disciples present there was a contention among them as to which one would be accounted greater, but Jesus spoke saying, The kings of the nations exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greater among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve." (24-26)

From these passages and others we have seen, it is near impossible to fathom how the person of Peter and the attributions for which the Church applies its authority can be more than a fanciful fairy tale. There is no rhyme or reasoning in the New Testament writings that gives to one single individual and especially of a high priestly nature masquerading with pleasure, pomp, parade, shoman-ship and practices of abomination. It's a hoax of the cruelest sort, derived from the pits of hell, fooling millions of its followers and others.

This has been the Roman Church attempt to mimic the high priestly office of Aaron the levite of Old Testament. And a poor mimicry at that - which priesthood was done away with - eradicated and abolished. "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:.. But this shall be the 'new' covenant that I will make with the house of Israel [emphasis added]; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My People. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, sying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: For I will forgive their inequity, and I will remember their sin no more." Jeremiah 31:31-33

The Irony of Roman Catholicism claiming the book of Matthew as its source for its preamble provides further evidence toward its demise. It should not pass without commenting that the sur-name Peter is the Church's choice of address above the given name Simon. He is called Saint Peter. Why not Saint Simon or Saint Simon Peter? Might it have been orchestrated through divine guidance to fuel the argument?

Unlike the three other Gospels, the Divine purpose of the Gospel of Matthew is to set forth Messiah as Jehovah's King and His coming Kingdom Matthew whose name is Levi was a tax gatherer sitting at the office of customs before leaving all to become a follower and disciple of Jesus. According to traditional sources the text of Matthew's Gospel was hand written in the Hebrew language. To represent an abbreviation of Matthew's attribution it may be stated thus, Matthew is a Jewish Levite scribe/apostle writing about Jews, to Jews and for Jews. We even have the ephitet of the money handler. The Jewish relationship is prominent throughout his Gospel. In the end the King-Jew is rejected by His People, and the rest is history. At His crucifixion they set up over His head His accusation written, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. (it is recorded in one or two of the other Gospels that an accusation was written in Hebrew, Greek and Latin), - and until recent years (during the 1950's or so) the Roman Catholic liturgy was always spoken in Latin?

The portrait of Matthew's background is paramountly significant because it provides the link of the Roman Catholic mind-set with its Levi counterpart and a strong link with Judah - the Jew as well. Since the book of Matthew signifies the King and the Kingdom, it naturally follows a large portion of the portrait is Judah the Lion-King. "Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stoped down, he couched as a lion, as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto Him shall the gathering of the people be. Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: his eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk." Genesis 49:8-12

There are some that may ask why this portion of the book of Genesis is inserted here. Once reason is to show the strength and force with which the spirit of God spoke through the patriach Jacob who was Israel and while lying on his death bed blessed his son Judah with blessins that would occur in the last-days. Another is to provide Judah the Jew with a reminder to his hard earned legacy and of his compensatory reward soon to be implemented. There are many bible believers who attribute that endday prophecy to Jesus Christ who also claim for Him the passage in the book of Revelation chapter five, where, "the lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to loosen the seven seals thereof."

To open the unaopenable sealed book; but might thee passages have a dual affinity? For, is not the patriarch Judah also the Root of David? Additionally, the blessing serves as a prelude for later when we show the second of eleven blessings announced in the same chapter in Genesis attributed to Simeon and Levi.

Is it pure chance or perhaps design that Genesis is the first-book of the Old Testament while Matthew is the first-book of the New Testament, where we find the antitype Old agreeing with the New to bring us end-time or rather - new-day events?

One single chapter in the book of Genesis will provide a graphic account of an evil event that provoked the spirit of God in Jacob afterward to pronounce it cursed. It is the ministry of the Simeon-Levi confederacy which is the perfect image of the Church operating in carnal power.

Dinah, the daughter of Leah went out to visit the daughters of the land of Shechem. When Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country noticed her, he fell in love, and they had an affair. "And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly to the damsel. And Shechem spake to his father Hamor, saying, Please get me this damsel for my wife."

Hamor went to meet with Jacob; but Jacob's sons heard about them having a love affair and lying together. They were grieved and very wroth, because he wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter; which thing ought not to be done. And Hamor tells them, my son Shechem longeth for your daughter; I pray give her him in marriage and let us dwell peaceably in the land together as one people. Everything that belongs to us will be yours and everything that belongs to you will be ours. And Shechem said, Ever so much wedding gift that you ask for dowry, that will I give from me, only please give me the damsel in marriage to be my wife.

And the sons of Jacob ansered Shechem and Hamor deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled their sister; We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that is a reproach to us: But in this will we consent unto: If you will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised; Then we will give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people. But if you will not hearken unto us to be circumcised; then will we take our daughter, and we will be gone. And their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem Harmor's son. And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob's daughter, and he was more honourable than all the house of his father.

The Hamor and Shechem went into the city to commune with the men of the city and tell them the whole story of how all these things will be ours, sharing and trading and intermarriage and we will all be one people - But first we must consent to be circumcised as they are circumcised. All the males agree and every man becomes circumcised. And it came to pass on the third day when all the males are sore, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brethren, took each man his sword, and cam upon the city boldly, and slew all the males. And they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Sechem's house, and went out. Then all the sons of Jacob came upon the slain and took all their cattle, oxen, asses, and everything in the field and in the city and spoiled everything in the houses, and took all their wives and children captive.

And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me and make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites; and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house. And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an harlot?

Here, we are party to read an eyewitness account, in effect becoming witnesses ourselves of an even that was so incomprehensibly tragic, and with such cruel judgement and deceit in it, that it itself is judged accursed by the spirit of God in Jacob. "Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. O my soul, come not into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their selfwill they digged down a wall. Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel." (Gen. 49:5-7)

Once our attention is attracted to the various types and shadows of scripture language, it becomes less difficult to decide that the Simeon and Levi alliance ministry relationship are the archetype of Roman Catholicism and Primacy of Peter and his successors. For which the spirit of God in Israel pronounced the curse for the last-days ending today [the-day] and turning to the blessing.

When dis-unification of selfwill yields conforming with the divine will, the doom is herein the remedy. To bring Simoen-'hearing' and Levi-'joined' back to the true meaning of their names, to win the ties of which have divine sanction. Dispensationally, this can be viewed throughout the book of Judges when there was no king of government authority until the time of Samuel who annointed Saul and then David, first and second kings over Israel. It, the book of Judges, was a time when every man did according as it seemeth good in his own sight - and so, today.
Dinah's name means Justice and/or vindicated. In the spirit of the word men figure our understanding and women figure our will or love part, which when united make up the whole being, wisdom and love. Good when dependent and through selfwill accursed. Dinah therefore represents soul, heart, emotions, and, - she represents woman, and the woman is the church. So in a particular sense we have witnessed the formation of the first church assembly. The virgin princess of Israel wedded to the Gentile prince of the land of Canaan.

Notice, it was after Simeon and Levi slew all the men of the city and Hamor and Shechem, that they, the two brothers, took Dinah from Shechem's house and all that was in the house. Here, the word after is emphasized to alert us to the fact that the wedding of Shechem's house and all that was in the house. Here, the word after is emphasized to alert us to the fact that the wedding of Shechem and Dinah must-have already been consumated or else Dinah would not have been left in Shechem's house. A simple fact that trained spiritual bible scholars, commentators and teachers have grossly overlooked. If this be not the case then we may as well throw our bibles out the window. Because, the very rite and act of circumcision according to bible lore and its law, seals and binds the contract and the covenant. Amen. For this cause shall a man leave his fahter and mother and cleave to his wife, and they twain shall be one flesh. So then there are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder (Mark 10)

Unfoldment of these hidden meanings in this latter-day, definately and definitely declare, we are the new-age generation. I thank thee O father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent and hath revealed them unto babes, even so father for so it seemeth good in thy sight. What does it all mean? It means we have discovered a truth. Truth that the bible itself has posited the Church to bear witness against itself. The very bible from which the Church claims its authority curses it. This may sound harsh, but as was stated before, the doom herein is the remedy, and the end is greater than the means. The Church is considered having legal authority for bible interpretation. And though it may be considered legal since there is no other institution challenging it; it does not necessarily make it lawful. But then, there are some who would rather accept authority for truth, rather than truth for authority. Be it as it may, we have now uncovered a breech in the wall of the system.

On the hole, we have discovered a plain interpretation of the scripture. So plain any astute bible student would recognize it. Why has this and other bible mysteries been held in abeyance so long? Were these mysteries pre-ordained or pre-programmed if you will, to be revealed to a civilized world when a certain sphere of advancement and timing were attained? Now, evidently is that time. The time of the terrible shaking mentioned in the book of Isaiah and other latter-day bible prophecies.

Revealing these hidden messages are programmed not to break down religion per se. It is programmed to break down religiousity, - man ordained precepts. Only one thing can break a man and cause him to change. And that one thing is a deeply inner emotionally changed spiritual conviction of the soul's conscience. The whole world believes in some sort of religion, even atheism is a relgion - six billion souls. Out of six billion souls in the world, we have one billion seven hundred fifty-nine million Christians, nine hundred thirty-five million Muslims and seventeen million four hundred thousand bible believing Jews. A total of two billion seven hundred eleven million bible believers. Of these numbers, nine hundred ninety-five million, nearly one billion are Roman Catholic believers.

Every priest, minister or rabbi who holds a biblcally oriented office whether Christian or Jew is practicing the Simeon Levi ministry - A curse when operating out of tune with the still small voice; and it may also be said of all worldy religions as well. My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord or faint when thou art rebuked of Him. For whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth and scourgeth. If you endure chastenisement whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Someone may say, Hmm. A very interesting an amusing twist of scriptural jargon and vain babbling. But on the other hand, the facts speak for itself. Once the seriousness of the matter is fully comprehended, its effects to a worldwide audience will be immeasurable. See that ye refuse not Him that speaketh whose woice then shook the earth, but now he hath promised saying, Yet once more, I shake not only the earth, but also the heavens. In this word, yet once more, it signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken as of things that are made. That those thins that cannot be shaken may remain, wherefore, we receive a kingdom which cannot be moved.

Realistically examining factual current events to provide a perspective view, we find Pope John Paul II visited the Holy Land of Israel spending several days in the area. During the visit, it was hoped by the Jewish rabbinate community that the Pope on behalf of the Church would apologize to the Jewish people for the Church's failure to act responsibly on behalf of Jews everywhere during World War II and the Nazi Holocaust. Meanwhile there has been no such response officially on the Church's part as a whole. Although Pope John Paul II himself made personal gestures of remorse, as has Cardinal J.J. O'Conner, Diocese head of New York's Roman Catholic Diocese, recently deceased. And others have as well we are sure.

In a more current view we find on May 11, 2001: "World Jewry facing an interfaith crisis with Christians and Muslims over the anti-Jewish tirade spouted by Bashar Assad in the presence of Pope John Paul II, who failed to repudiate the Syrian president..

.. The Jewish officials are aghast that Christian leaders, including the Pope, are keeping silent about Assad's remarks and other recent declarations that Jews persecuted and killed Jesus - a charge that many thought was eradicaed from Christian theology.

"It's open season on Jews," said veteran Jewish interfaith expert Rabbi James Rudin.
Last Saturday, with the Pope John Paul II alongside him and perhaps a billion people watching the even broadcast around the world, Assad not only repeated the centuries-old Christian blood libel charge that Jews killed Jesus, but also added a new Islamic twist that Jews were responsible for the death of the prophet Mohammed, the founder of Islam.

What has angered Jewish leaders is that the 81-year-old Pope, who has spent his 23-year papacy reinforcing the 1965 Vatican teaching eliminating the deicide charge against Jews, allowed Assad's message to go unchallenged." (a front page article in May 11, 2001 issue of the Jewish Week written by Eric J. Greenberg).

There is also the anti-semite issue which has ensued through the ages. This is most perplexing, especially given the highly civilized social atmosphere in which we function in this day and time. "Just as the computer now enables millions worldwide to be interconnected through the internet the web has proven to be a boom for racists, antisemites, anti-government extremists and other hate mongers groups. The hate we see experienced on the internet today is more pervasive, more virulent, more insidious, and more threatening than anything extremists of past decades could have imagined. The internet allows bigots to reach millions of people at little or no cost. Thousands of pages of hateful propoganda frequently produced by groups with histories of violence are now available at the click of a mouse." This form a newsletter by ADC Publication 2000 - Anti Defamation League.

These last paragraphs were inserted here to bring to remembrance the terrible hate crimes and injustices inflicted by the world's communities upon the Jewish people. The details of these crimes and injustices are some of the most heinous and horrific terrors that it boggles even the very imagination. It is not the intent of this writing to include details here. The intent is to bring the mind's conscience to awareness of a living flesh and blood people by whom, for whom, and without whom, the Holy Scriptures were written. This then brings ones heart into the matter and provides it with a present perspective view of God's chosen people of the Book.

Ant it further provides us with a living link to past, present, and future events, and purpose. Because, it convinces us the letter of the word kills, but the spirit of the word gives life. "For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eye of Him Whom they have to do." (Hebrew 4:12,13)
